True. Was simply pointing out that while the picture doesn’t show the full scope (though everyone has to admit that with culling if you see 15, there could very well be another 20 around them) it doesn’t change the zergy nature of the server recently. Which sucks, because the old timer mags never really seemed to have ever wanted that fate and they have my condolences.

But the person wasn’t denying that we’re zergy, simply mocking the tactless attempt at trying to call us that. Why am I talking for them…? And why is there a Yak in this thread, just curious?

Every server had some sort of large group on at some point in time. Posting a picture of 15 names because a few people whined about something doesn’t prove anything.

People that came didn’t come for the community, or read up on what Maguuma is. They came because they pressed their WvW button, and saw who was winning.

That’s your opinion, but realize that everyone doesn’t share what you think is ideal. Winning is not everything. Queues and culling are a big deterrent for moving up in tiers.

There’s this thing called fun. People are capable of having it without winning. WvW may be competitive, but it’s also a game. There’s also the fact that T1 – T3 blow because it’s zerg vs zerg. Not everyone wants to have fights where theyre facing 30+ people or waiting in queue to do so.

For what it’s worth, we made huge strides over the last couple weeks because we dominated dead servers. Tonight we’re up against two strong servers, and holding our own. At least in EBG we’ve been handed a “warm” welcome to tier 3 and clearly ganged up on, pinballing back and forth from North to Southeast fighting off DB zerg after FA zerg and I don’t recall seeing either of those servers taking land from each other for the 4 or 5 hours I was in tonight.

This is more fun. This is far better than what we’d had for a while now, enjoy it.

The fights in the Lord room of SM were a lot of fun.

We were overhyped, but that doesn’t mean we don’t belong here. I don’t know all this about so many transfers over the last few weeks, the same commanders I’m used to seeing were leading and the people that are used to following them were doing so. Enough with the troll posts. Lift your heads up Maguuma, you belong at this level among good competition and who knows where the week will end.

I think maguuma has creted a bad rep for themselves. Some are humble, others blatantly kitteny, others hide their arrogance by “trying” to be polite to those server it just steamrolled, but letting them know they are clearly better.

By the way, we beat Yak’s Bend on equal footing before we were bandwagoned, but they like to ignore that fact too.

I don’t think there’s any question about this. There’s also the fact that many of the person we’ve faced are crying babies and take the first chance they get to sling mud at us. Jesse Cox ring a bell? Yeah, lots of people are like that. Entire guilds of servers are like that. We simply don’t make an effort to correct them.

In regards to the post you quoted, no, we don’t belong here. We didn’t fight our way here, and climb by aiming to be the best and winning. We faced dead servers, and got bandwagoned to T3. We also have a heap of commanders and pubs that are clueless. Saying anything otherwise is foolish.

No, I think the score is looking really good if we want to shed the fair weather players. We’re already getting complaints in chat and mumble about us losing, and lots of arguing going on between them and the veterans. All we have to do is keep telling people to use cardinal directions.

T6-T-8. Every other server is currently unbalanced or poop tiers.

Sadly, we cannot control the pubs, so you may have resistance. But the core of Maguuma will not stand in your way of anything you want.

Slight adjustment: Mumble crew says you are not allowed to touch the keeps in Mag BL, that’s all.

It’s been reported since it was first noticed months ago, I have even reported it. It’s safe to say ANet knows about it and it is not a priority, just as all the other ways of getting into spawns aren’t.

Done it plenty of times, been reported, and haven’t been banned yet.

No it doesn’t. Spying is not a specific situation. It’s gathering enemy intel, the way you do it is not the determinate. You can spy on voice comms, through friends, through parties, through having multiple accounts. None of these involve server transferring yet they are all seen as spying. Bottom line, the OP does not mention transferring to servers, I didn’t either. You did, and tried to start debating it.

You’re not getting it. We’re not talking about somehow being tricked into giving your position away through this.

player from server B transfers to server A, joins party with friends from server B, follows server A’s zerg/commander, giving away their exact map position away to friends from server B.

This is something that already happens, separate from being able to party with players from other servers. Partying with them just makes sharing information easier.

Who is this we? According to the OP, we’re talking about a player on a server joining the party of an enemy player from a different server. If you go through the trouble of transferring servers, why would you need to join a party with commanders that includes a person from your home? You have the commander on watch, you already know the information. Adding another person is overkill, pointless, and doesn’t make the feature useful or easier, because you have already done something that will provide you with much more information and you can relay it to your team in seconds with something as simple as a voice comm.

Spying implies that the spy is actually from the invading server and has transferred for the purpose of spying. Partying up with their buddies on the invading servers allows them to share info more efficiently, if only that their position is right there on the map at all times.

The good thing about Yak’s Bend is that we have a relatively stable membership. When all the servers that have been poisoned by over-transfers rise to the top, we will end up in the middle Tier with even matchups and loads of fun. We don’t need the drama that comes with over-populating a server.

My personal opinion, but that doesn’t seem like a good idea to me.

Mag is currently outmanned on IoJ BL. Probably a good time to start wreaking havoc.
