I bagsie getting onto the maps with <25 people on. I much prefer less population.

It was interesting how he didn’t say anything bad about The Pale Tree, though he was obviously uncomfortable. I do agree that he is a dark character, probably one of the darkest in the game so far, I just feel that his obvious sadistic streak is at odds with his stated intention of paying penance.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the conversation pieces between these two, some of the best and most amusing writing I have experienced so far in GW2.

Here’s the problem, however: During The Secret of Southsun, he was presented as an anti-hero, a man doing the wrong things for the right-ish reasons. He saw himself as a hero of the refugees trapped in Consortium contracts, and I personally wished I could side with him. However a lot of lives were lost and he was of course captured.

Whilst in prison, he has been remorseful and apologetic to the max which further endeared me to him.

Now he is on Anise’s billet, he appears to have turned into an utter sociopath! I know that some of his comments are intentionally directed at Anise, to elicit some reaction and possibly information from him. But it is as if the writers thought “Hang on, players LIKE this guy! That wasn’t supposed to happen!” and have turned him into the bitterist of grapefruit in response.

I still like the guy, the wit and humour, and his voice actor is great. During the party I would have accepted his sociopathic behaviour as just him trying to troll Anise. At the summit, however, he carried on in a similar vein, even though the tone and subject matter of conversation was unjustified in that setting.

tl;dr is: why has Canach gone from remorseful anti-hero to Hannibal Lecter?

I am a kitten … downed once and managed to rally. It wasn’t that hard, as long as you have some mobility trait to do most dodging, and keep one dodge roll for the full-map AoE.

For the less mobile classes… good luck!

Seems a little stupid to give out items which you then have to research on the internet, just to know what they are and what they do. I guess that’s the endgame right now. Maybe we need an in-game achievement for number of times using the /wiki chat command.

I don’t do any crafting and don’t intend to so do these items have any function or purpose for me?

I’d like to see some clean-up and exploration into Orr. The Risen should be dwindling by now, but new threats may yet emerge.

With the Aetherblade arc, I was hoping and praying for airship-to-airship combat!

Cannons blazing, weakening the enemies defences so you can safely lay down a boarding ramp, then an assault. Makes me drool thinking about it.

Character at 80, Zhaitan dead etc. Here’s what my new Lvl 80 Ranger has unlocked:

Line 1: III, V
Line 2: I, X
Line 3: II, V, X
Line 4: I, IV, VI
Line 5: III, XII

So out of 65 traits, I have 12 unlocked (and one of them I went out specifically for). And only one Elite.

Just think about all the build experimentation I can do!

Please! Especially on closest view, it is a major distraction and does a good job of blocking view-at-distance!

All World 2 needed was a couple of save points and it was all good.

Not great losing over an hours worth of progress (if you have teammates struggling) because someone can’t finish the run or some guys run out of credit coins.

• By saying “Yes”, they’d be admitting to “attempting to destroy roleplaying”
• By saying “No”, they’d be admitting to not thinking of roleplaying

Actions have consequences. Sometimes those consequences are bad. Often, those consequences aren’t trivial to avoid or fix. It takes time.

From my understanding, the original appearances of ‘ninja’ garb were little more than theatre prop-men who sneaked onto stage as concealed as possible to move/change sets (or to provide crude moving sets) during performances. Their stealthiness then gave rise to stories of black clad men sneaking about and doing nefarious things.

True spies and assassins would wear clothing to blend with their surrroundings, as any intelligent modern one would do.

Trouble that I see is…

Whenever they do communicate, Anet is always talking AT us, and not TO us.

I found it very VERY interesting how Devon Carver passed the mic to Matt Wuerffel with a sort of “Here, you can do this hard task”.

I would dearly love for Devon, who I know it active on the forum, to give us his opinion on this, but I doubt he would be allowed to.

That;s incorrect. There are still RP servers: TC and Piken. The way that the megaserver works is that it puts you with other like-minded players/guilds. Starting out on either of these servers would most likely guarantee that you would have other RP players to interact with, especially if you are in an RP guild.

Guess what servers my accounts are on? Tarnished Coast and Piken Square. And still I see next to no open RP anymore.

Ah yes, that was handy… Also when I got a 30min cooldown between posts at one stage.

There are no roleplaying servers anymore, as such, thanks to the melting pot megafailservers.

Not that there’s much RP about anyway. 8/10 nights I go to the known open RP spots in DR and they are empty because I’m not in the right shard. RP is pretty much dead for me now.

I have one in the US with 11 characters, and one in EU with 2.

Pointless to be honest. I find that I am neglecting friends on one server when I spent stints playing on the other. My original intention was so that I could play with friends in any time zone (since I work shifts, I can be at home any time of the day), but I tend to set myself tasks which I stick to, meaning that I can spend weeks away from the other account.

In my opinion, stick to one account.

You know that this and all criticism threads are actually pointless. Anet will carry on doing what it does regardless. We don’t matter anymore, as long as we keep spending money on gems. Which I won’t be doing anymore.
