WvW is not related to any sports – end of story. It’s not meant to be balanced, even or anything like that. It’s more like king of the ring or cage match. sPvP/tPvP is where balance is suppose to live.

I didn’t expect all that chest thumping from TC, and especially not from chris who isn’t even part of this matchup.

TC hasn’t been chest thumping that much. In fact most of the comments are 5 week stewed from JQ to SoR. And BG to SoR,. Some from TC earlier trying to provoke you guys, but not much, so your definition in a 10+ page thread of what like – 3 guys who have said stuff, is weak.

The majority of TC people are having fun with the side topics like ERPing, and such. Don’t classify a server for actions of few, it makes your normally sound judgement lose ground.

That being said, it was nice battling SoR and JQ all week. STUN appreciated the battles. JQ … the sea when your in karma train mode – it’s gotta be like 80 people stronk.

TC also still couldn’t have ended in third if they never showed up all week. That didn’t happen, so please don’t discredit anyones effort. JQ wasn’t hitting SoR only – you know how many battles we had with SF and SG zergs … tons. They are plentiful and good. Win some, lose some, just show up – get out there and support your commander.

As a server/community they seem to get ‘it’ when it comes to achieving there goals. Season 1, exploit coverage gaps of potential candidates. Everyone forgets JQ did same with SEA guilds.

Trump the warchest speech, but they did win at the end of the day. Not like they rolled over and did nothing, they all fought hard until goal achieved.

Same goes with Teq, what are you going to say about that? They bought Teq to roll over and play dead?

BG, hands down proven.
Close second JQ for quantity of victories over given duration of time.
Mags, by far best duelers 1v1 server. Can be kittens on forum, but in game, much better.

I can’t vote TC, but best gaming experience since beta has been located. Balance of fun/dowhatyawant/competitive.

I wish the rewards for number 1 servers are extremely good and if you aren’t in the top three, they are pretty bad (like a bag of spikes). That way, when the next season rolls in, every bandwagonners will be nicely stacked on the same server.

If you started on BG and was able to log into WvW, you can move servers now and finish it on another server. Your server credit is tied to your home server.

Really if you do not log in on purpose, you shouldn’t be rewarded. However if you log in, you can still finish the 15. Doesn’t take long at all. I got 6 or 8 the first day [granted I did all 4 jp’s]. But you do in fact, have to play to get the rest. Walls don’t break from watching movies, nodes don’t flip from eating dinner, and SM doesn’t cap when you ‘drop the kids off in the pool.’

Sounds like your server mates are even beckoning ya. I bet they would help ya even if you had to temporarily relocate to blast through some of it.

Honestly, I don’t think SoR cares about placing anymore so my hopes for week 7 is that it’s nothing more than a blood bath. I think all 3 servers should adopt SoR’s mentality for fights 1st, PPT 2nd and just bring the pain. Rest up and let bring that old fun back into our match ups!

That’s not what I think of when I think SoR.

To be honest, reading SoR servers forum commentary most of the season was fairly disappointing and sometimes rather offensive (no names particularly- fw always seem to be polite kind of, but with the server going through so much, it got bad, and now sounds deflated). JQ was humorous to read all season, and BG was focused.

I believe that everyone gets a chest to open for completing the meta achievement in season 1. So long as you get the key, you get a reward.

Top 3 per tier get ‘temporary’ (I believe) – finishers.

Ascended mats were mentioned as part of the prize at release somewhere. Do you have any proof that 4-6 get nothing for there efforts, or are you simply stressing?

Anyway on topic, I’m not JQ perspective, rather TC.

Coming into the week, I would have expected this, I mean 2v1 JQ week 1 … and I doubt many would have forgotten. Coupled with the forum drama and everythign how it played out between SoR and ZDs/IRON conflicts.

On TC we figured as much may happen, and knew our position meant if there was any opportunity that could arise to take advantage of .. it was now. This week was the most critical week for our guilds to push. And we still will. Mainly because as a community, striving for a goal has helped. And it helped our militia harden up during the season.

SoR did give us some last week, and JQ’s influence should have been expected by SoR unless oblivious state is the norm, I mean blind men were calling it. Not so easy for SoR to simply out numbered TC at night with JQ in the game, eager for some fights and retribution.

To be honest, if I were on JQ side, I would have done the same… if opportunity arose. I mean they probably had some morale issues during the first week after seeing what was going on, and knew what they would have to adjust there season too. Ebbs and flow, and fun.

1 more day. Keep fighting TC. Ignore SoR, we not inviting them to our 3 ways any more ^.^ they no funions at all. Still mocking us. Not party people, bad mojo! Shoe them away please.

JQ & BG welcomed to join post season party with TC and hoping TC militia and commanders all have fun together. We should arrange it, the most massive party/dolyak parade, ERP fun loving music playing time eva!

No fun. We need street sweeping on isle SoR. They need injection of more emotions than srs, it’s video game.

Americans go to play in EU for no que time whatsoever. Same as EU to americans. No lock down would work for this game. It’s meant to be unfair.

Does it undermine the hard work we put in during prime time upgrading, hell yes. But locking it down is not a solution in a follow the sun model of game.

Nor is it fun for some to pvdoor while others are in dire need of night presence. Grows disparity between tiers. We need people to be willing to level out the playing field.

But no one will. Too many want to win, and this game basis its winning around coverage stacking. Until a viable solution is found, many have been offered, while some good, none have fit the problem. Only bandaid ideas that would lead to further issues elsewhere.

WvW gameplay is based on uneven numbers clashing, outcomes changing and pretty heavily focused around offense. Defense comes to play, but more as a slow down, deterrent to enemy capturing points. Only to be taken as soon as you have 0 coverage. But this also leads to some valiant last stand style battles that we have all endured at some point.

You’ll basically be 1 shot’ing zergs with glass cannon eles or condi engi’s ticking for 5k per tick.

I agree the outmanned should be more than exp (as we are 80) and crappy boosters. As outmanned basically means … GL and GTFO the map presently. Seriously, if a zerg approaches a T3 keep. 4 guards with sup ac’s (while you may believe can) … cannot in fact stop the train.

Outmanned buff as it stands right now – is the first deterrent to players, preventing them from staying on a map. Which coincidentally doesn’t help the situation at all.

Someone tried to do this once before, and the thread was trolled. Expect the same. no competition who the best militia commanders are in NA. I’m not going to name them, because this thread already ..

I agree. It was a good night tonight. Lots of fun fights, and I’m proud the hills there even got a Waypoint and T3 walls. To be honest, it was fun all through the night just building the fortress up. And I’m happy it kinda flipped over, buffs claim was running out in a couple hours and I’m at work for another 7. I don’t want to be that guy. So thank you JQ

Unless things have changed, I understand the parade was cancelled this week because all the Americans will be filling there pie holes and getting tipsy putting back way too many lolly pops. When/If they get on tonight, I’d expect some loose tongues and incoherent logic.

Let me clarify a few things:

1. There is no morale superiority in not working overtime. It’s just the way SOR in general wants to work.

2. The focus is ALWAYS 1st on winning the fights, the 2nd priority is winning the ppt. PPT is important but it’s 2nd priority. We will want to win but looking at how EU has evolved, we recognize that some guilds want to focus on winning the fights 1st vs watching objectives/ppt for other time zones and we want to grow that type of community. So yes, we are still looking for guilds to field our time zones that we cannot cover because we want to win but not at the expense of working overtime.

3. I did some checks, the reason why we are gaining PPT is because quite a few of the guys and girls are back from ESO, nothing more.

Fannwong, there are many players playing overtime as well – we see them nightly. Not to discredit your response, your always polite in undermining others and painting a picture.

#3. ESO ended well prior to the ppt change. The difference was not ESO, as ESO beta took away from all 3 servers. So mathematically that would mean each coverage time would influx based on there return, from all 3 servers. Nullifying your ESO statement.

#2. Hard time believing this the way SoR map movement and strikes show. I see more JQ fighting us while SoR back capping then other way. No bad idea, smart… but often see ppt play every day. Nothing to be shameful for, in fact TC trying to improve ours while we grow our server knowledge, so any tips is appreciated.

#1. No server likes to work over time. We appreciate the effort everyone has been putting in including enemy, and I see many guilds on pulling hours this week from all servers. The battles are good, there is no excuse, and all servers are playing long hours. Whether admitting it or not, that is your choice. What we see in game tells other story.

You are always polite, TC looking to grow in our weaker time zones too, while improving overall WvW. We have been trying to learn from T1 servers, and information share for long time, but we never want to lose who we are … the fun server, you all respect. As we to you.

Ok, personally, I would never interrupt a GvG myself, but does it really seem like such a good idea to immediately go GvG in the absolutely brand new arena, open to the public? Even if it wasn’t SG, you know you would likely have random PuGs running in and messing with the match simply because it’s new content.

Why not wait a little for it to cool down, wait for people to get bored of the new zone, and then schedule your GvGs? Not meant to be trolling at all, just a bit of friendly advice.

Edit: Just as an aside, I’m not defending SG here, I don’t agree with what they did at all.

To be blantently honest. ^^ This is what I was thinking.

I mean if half the people read anything about what was going on in all the other servers, they wouldn’t have scheduled the gvg in the new shiny. Every server who tried to have a GvG had to call it off .. because of farmers, duelers, and gankers.

When I logged in and heard about what was going on with my guilds GvG, I had a chuckle knowing it would likely be the case. While the arena looks like it should be death match GvG, it’s a new place for chumps who don’t have much else left to do to go be a jerk. Maybe time will change it, I can’t see guilds actually going in there to farm… if they kind enough to leave the mill alone, why would they waste time in a ppt less scene?

We’ve spent the past 3 days flipping it like a pancake, but grats on the hold for the last 2hours. You will need more than donating +15ppt all night to your server with a map blob to beat TC though. Good fights the rest of SoR, I do envy your short que time to get so many of one guild on a map. But our JQ puggies performed admirably, holding a very large guild group in a paper bay all night. The only real threat to any JQ structures came from a kamikaze STUN member who almost broke into garri lords with a solo omega golem! haha.

Fun fights with STUN a couple times, SoR kinda kept interrupting a couple :p

FA may have tanked, but let’s face it … BT even moved over to join the fights. Mag’s deserve credit that week regardless.

If anything it shows the character of FA. Not that i’ll hold it against them. I like FA, and happy they went down to kick SBI’s tail in.

Would people discredit BG about there push in that come from behind battle after the bad reset before ZDs showed up? Of course, but you and BG know the difference, as does ZD. It’s more a compliment to an ongoing effort. Same story with Mags… they fought hard that week, I’ll never forget it … I who troll / get trolled just as hard as any mags .(and sometimes directed to each other) .. was rooting like mad for them and they accomplished it. FA’s decisions to tank only complimented the effort already out there.

Same with TC this week. Some can say JQ, some can blame IRON leaving, some can say anythign they want … but the people on TC still going in and doing everything they possibly can to push hard. Not stopping either. We house the mag’s banner (that pic saying 63k in stomps and sentries… as a bit of motivation. Our forums are filled with things other servers have done with success, in fact BG we taking page from your week 1 book too and moving raid times to gain most ppt. We’re trying, no matter how people candy coat things … credit where credit due. For all servers.

So, I myself a lowly player, just like all the other players you call scrubs, can log in at any time of day or night and fight someone or something!

Allowing their player base to believe they have to recruit and stack servers with WvW based players

Can we all agree that there are a significant mutual feeling between a lot of players when it comes to a scoreboard at the end of the week. Think about it, we are almost lead to believe that the scoreboard that is up there means something. This is where you get your JQ’s, HoD’s, SoR’s, BG’s, SBI’s, SoS’s, ET’s, etc etc.. What do all of those servers have in common? They have all experienced the “coverage wars” that everyone seems to be on hinge about.

As long as there is a score representation that makes people feel like they truly have to have that 24/7 coverage for a “win,” you will have a WvW player base gravitate to a higher ranked server. The fact that leagues are implemented a year in to the game for WvW is kind of backwards. Then again, you would still run in to coverage wars with how the system is.

Righto. TC now recruiting friendly fun loving SEA, Russians, and Europeans. Preference given to those who like open field play as we have many/MANY who like to sentry, walk yaks etc and will communicate back to you.
