Would this work for WvW as well? and what armor would you pick for it?
Yeah, although it wouldn’t be all that good in zergs, small group roaming and solo roaming should be fine. For solo 1v1’s just go full berserker, but for small groups I would recommend some vit/toughness (due to all the AoE’s that will be hitting you), although its your choice on how much. Ill probably make some WvW videos with this build later when I get my ascended dagger.
Than yes I meant I’ve only been playing in solo arena matches. It’s very good! An I saw your power build, and was wondering if you woul like to duel me sometime. Never faced another decent powermancer
Wait sPvP doesn’t mean solo arena match? Is sPvP hotjoint? Fuccccccckkkkkkkk……. Then I’ve been saying things so wrong
Have you tried your build in soloq or teamq yet? If so how did it go?
I have only been playing it in sPvP and it works like a charm. 1v1’s, 2v2’s and roaming all go really well. In group fights you have to be careful, but it helps the team a lot. Another vid coming soon
In the last 2 weeks in my pvp matches i have only been pulled one time by a magnet engineer. Other than that there were no other grabs/pulls. So it’s a rarely used mechanic in the game that will be sure to catch people off guard.
Yesterday I pulled a warrior off the wooden structures around the click tower in khylo. He was just about to enter the clock tower but I just managed to pull him all the way back to me (on the ground below) an ele even said ‘lolololol that pull doe’.
Just because people have played a lot of pvp matches doesnt mean they can/will see everything that is happening. Sure, they might know what to expect but they are not gods that dodge/block everything. Spectral grab might actually catch them off guard because they’re not expecting it. Just a thought…
Dagger/axe/warhorn/focus are all really nice weapons for a powermancer and the staff is a great utility weapon. My personal favorite is dagger/focus though. You can look at the link in my decription for some powermancer gameplay, that can clear things up. The main stats you want to be focusing on are power precision and ferocity. Power for dmg, presicion for critical chance and ferocity for more dmg on critical strikes. This would be very glass canon though so I reccomend adding some vit/toughness. If you are going to do PvE though I reccomend full berzerker because the mobs are slow and predictable.
You can pm me ingame if you have more questions.
Another thing might be escapes. If, for instance, you cast it on some npc, then run away/jump down the bridge/sth you’ll be still teleported. Seems like range is counted for your position at cast, not at land.
Nope dark path is counted for your position at land. If you cast it at 1200 and take a step back it will be “out of range”
Without trying to detract from your enthusiasm for your build or make a disparaging judgement on your skill at building or playing, I watched this video at least for the first third of it and I feel it is a shining example of bad players rather than the power of this build or any strength of necro.
Rather than leaving it at that I will deconstruct a little of why I feel this way. In your first set of engagements in spirit watch you got the complete drop on an engie from behind who was otherwise engaged fighting another player.
Right away you can see their team is very bad as the score is 177 red to 350 blue, blue owns all points and yet they are still fighting in the streets and not on points. They probably got sucked into a stillness battle that lasted too long from the look of it as their 3-4 were taking to long to take down someone bunkerish on blue at stillness and that’s when you merked one engie off the edge. Any class with some burst could do that.
Next up we have a five step juke that any decent player would have just turned around and walked the five steps to finish killing you and some end of the match battles against demoralized bads and a non minion necro using axe that didn’t bother to fear you. Your chain fear of the ele was decent and fearing the guardian into the pit was ok but the opponents were just awful in general due to the score and their lack of focus on you.
I’ve found really awful teams in tpvp lately versus yoloq and my theory is yoloq is actually tougher quite often because people used to soloing in yoloq can be a lot tougher than mainly pve guildies who got together for a night of ranked tpvp at times. There are certainly great tpvp teams out there with a team build and focus but there are also a lot of pve-centric disorganized guildies too. I have more bipolar experiences in tpvp than solo ranked where people can be disorganized but consistently good. I’ve been really incredulous how bad teams in tpvp can be sometimes and I can only explain it by casual guildie night. I’m curious as to which type it is in your video. I haven’t watched past the spirit watch segment because I got bored by that point. Again I’m not criticizing you or trolling just pointing out how bad the opponents in the video are and the only reason I bring it up is because ‘showcase videos of bads’ paint an inaccurate picture of the class.
1. This was all solo arena. Hotjoins are a joke and solo arena offers some competition. I don’t have a lot of friends in game (T.T) and only joined a guild because if then be in one. The only thing I can do for some better opponents is press solo arena and hope for some interesting matches. I’m not saying ’I’m the best player no one can compete with me’ but 65% is my team destroying the other team, 5% is having a decent match where it was pretty fair, and 30% is my team getting destroyed by a way better/organized group.
2. The engi at the beginning was turned around when he saw me but just didn’t have enough time to react before I casted staff 5, and than bursted him.
3. The spectral walk juke was the only segment I had where I used spectral recall at the time. It ofcourse wasn’t the best but I wanted to show its usefulness. I have a better clip on my computer which will be in my next vid.
4. No offense was taken by your comment, everyone has an opinion and I respect that. When I was putting this video together I also didn’t think it was the best video, but I needed some video space and it was decent. My next one will be better, I already have some interesting clips.
Well this is all quite true, I only put the 2v1’s in because vs the ele I had a huge burst which I wanted to show, the mesmer was only there because it was part of a longer clip, and the thief for the Nice interrupt/dmg I got in.
I did make a bit of fun of the earthshaker, because he missed it, but I only said ‘classic hambow’ because it was against a classic/meta warrior build. This build has a hard time against those builds and someone asked me to put a clip of that in. I’ll have to agree that it wasn’t the best hambow, but it was one.
And lastly, as a necro you don’t want to be focused in group fights. Things I do to avoid this is come later into the fight, stay in the back, pull out enemies with spectral grab and burst them down, and fear enemies away if they do focus you and just continue running around. I’ll try to add some clips of me getting focused in my next vid if that is what you guys want and what I do to avoid this.
I think I’m gonna roll an ele soon and would like to know what would work best for PvE purposes. I’m talking weapons, where to put my skill points in at the beginning, and utility skills. Any other tips would be appreciate too.
And how would I quickly unlock all the weapon skills? Because ele has so many
Watch my previous videos for some combos that I started with spectral grab.
You guys are right, it’s probably not the best utility skill but it has worked for me so far and ive had a lot of fun with it. In one match, I pulled the same ele 3 times of the high part at the keep in the forest of niflhel. And in general the 15% life force, 5 sec chill and the interrupt/pull is great.
And Ieman, I don’t use focused rituals because if I dark pact someone at my feet if don’t need to be able to cast it at a range, an this happens 70% of the time. Or, you spectral walk, go into the middle of the brawl with DS, do DS 5/4, drop well, spectral recall and than spam staff skills.
Cool if it works for you. I prefer more sustained Power builds, but won’t say your doesn’t click or something, that wouldn’t be true.
I like the synergy in between Sigil of Strenght, Strenght Runes and Reaper’s Might also. It works really cool, especially in PvE.
But I’ll point out one thing:
Reaper’s Precision – There was a math done on this thing couple months or year ago which clearly showed off how little LF you can really get from that. It’s not really worth that much in PvP to be honest. It’s the best pick for PvE I believe in DS build, but won’t make that much difference against a player.
Consider Weakning Shroud instead, maybe
1. You mean sustained power build like with more toughness and defensive skills?
2. You’re right, their synergy is superb. I can get 20 stacks of might just by staff/LB.
3. Could you tag that post/topic? I have almost 100% crit chance in DS so as I see it it’s a 33% chance to get 1% LF, and with skills like life transfer, tainted schakles and DS 1 that hit multiple targets that happens a lot.
Things must seriously be different in whatever pvp matches you join, I didn’t see you get focused once. Everytime I come on screen of the other team they all immediately switch to me.
That gameplay is a shining example of why you should focus the necro rather than letting them 2 shot the other classes
Well thats what you gotta try to do, not get focused. Stay in the back spamming your skills, or grab a warrior without stability with spectral grab and do your combo. And another tip, use your lich form only when you’re not focused. If you got someone bashing you with their hammer and you have no DS/heal/defensive skills available you’re dead, even if you can do 5k dmg per auto attack.
So after my previous post about my previous powermancer build (https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/necromancer/Ultimate-powermancer/first#post4108417) i’ve gotten a lot of tips and put those in a new build.
Its quite the same but is better in my opinion.
I got some gameplay and put those in a new video, so i hope you guys enjoy it!

Have you tried any condi builds?
This is a terror build focusing on removing boons, it may be a little overkill on the boon removal but with the current boon spam kitten I’ve found it to be pretty good.
I’ll take a look at it, condi is not my favorite but I’m due for another round of backline team “support” anyway. I’ve had some luck being a backline boonstrip cannon. (hotjoins not confident enough in the build for arena) corruption and woc both but good D/D eles for instance will intersperse their invulnerabilities between your boon strips even if you carry two I’ve found. I should run sc/fc cond due to that but I was married to sc/wh a while for kiting.
I hadn’t had a chance to play with Dhuumfire yet since I left before all those changes so I modified your build into a hybrid power.
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fRAQNAW7Yjc0UebjNm2wfbCchC63MAi2Y/gJgutA-TphGwAGOIAIeAAF3fYZZAAXAgCHBAA
I lose crit and bleeds (hopefully making up for it with power and might) but gain a ton of defense in the LF/DS department with dark shroud due to signet of undeath and have plenty of access to might and dhuumfire after setting up a bleed stack. Mainly I dropped well in favor of signet of spite because with this setup I can be completely ranged without the easy to evade well and both corruption and signet of spite have 1200 range and zero or quick tells. I’m not sold on the pet being in condi spec but I am trying it for extra distraction and uptime over the standard plague form. Thieves again make giving up plague form a pain.
The theory is I’m tough enough for most not to bother coming after me while still being able to do serious nuking with hybrid power and still heavy conditions damage at maximal ranges. The pet does fit in with backline support better.
I found I had enough boon stripping and/or damage to get through boons not stripped to down any target. I don’t really like going ‘all in’ on boon stripping due to targets that are a major threat to you that don’t stack that many boons. Mainly thieves.
The problem with this though is you still need someone to peel for you I feel, which meant I didn’t even consider running this with my guild today and just picked up Ye Olde Hambow instead who can shrug off many 2v1s and is good against all types of classes in a team or 1v1 environment due to plenty of hard CC in the base weapon and might stacking.
I notice you say you don’t have trouble with thieves in condi and I wonder where you encounter terrible thieves that can’t kill you with scepter out. I have little trouble with thieves in power spec personally but that is with standard melee weapons. Good ones are a pain for me with scepter or staff out even in hybrid mode for condi builds. I’m talking about thieves that can almost kill you in the time it takes you to swap to staff for some marks or half your life in the time it takes you to DS and fear them off.
They can dodge roll through pre planted marks and just facetime your condi from scepter until it’s time to fear you and burst you down which all can happen in seconds. Even with DS up. I need more practice vs. good ones but I have trouble believing condi necs have little trouble with thieves that know anything about what they’re doing. If anything is making the difference in your build for thieves I figure it’s got to be Retaliation vs. my Might stacking. I should probably give retaliation more game time but I usually tend to try to might stack especially in a hybrid setup.
So….. what happens when someone stuns you. We get focused as necros and when a hambow sees us they go right for us, especially when he figures out you don’t have any sort of stun break. I made the build to deal with boon spam that’s currently going On in the tpvp with the new strength runes everyone is better at stacking might than us so rather than trying to fight fire with fire I decided to extinguish theres.
You’re right we’re bad at might stacking, but it’s not impossible. I have strenght runes and sig of battle and strength on my staff, and also taking in account reapers might I’ll usually have 10-17 stacks of might on. Go into staff for 3 might (battle sigil), drop all your marks an get 2-3 might (strength sigil) and than do some lifeblasts for 1-2 might each
You got 2 wells but nothing to make them stay in those Wells? In a zerg this would be fine but if you’re gonna roam I would reccomend taking dagger for the 4 sec immob. For the rest it’s pretty good. And i would classify rangers as more squishy because they don’t have a 20k life force bar
So ive played for 3 months and have 2 lvl 80s (necro/engi) and know about PvE, WvW, dungeons and all the PvP types but have yet to discover what fractals are.
Are they like dungeons? And what do their names mean? They’re all like fractals 20-35 or 0-10…
Ty in advance
I personally don’t try to get too wrapped up in counterable “gib” combos. WoS is a lot of damage, but what you want to decide first is how many ticks you are OK with getting out of it. Even if you Dark Pact them before dropping it, many classes have the blinks/immob breaks/cleanses + dodge rolls to just get right out after 1 or maybe 2 ticks. Especially in WvW, where people don’t care about fighting on a particular piece of ground most of the time, and against roamers who specifically build for mobility/escape, you can run into issues with it.
That’s why I Doom right after. They will probably need 1-2 seconds to realize “I’ve been pulled and immobed by a dagger necro” which is enough time for me to cast well/focus 4 and than immediately doom.
I use WoSuf, Spectral walk and spectral grab.
I first spectral grab, then dark pact, then leave WoS, focus 4 than doom with DS followed by DS 2, after that just do some dagger 1’s.
If you want to see my powermancer actually do that combo go to the link in my description.
Er… yes, I meant to say focus >.<.
That’s an interesting point, I didn’t see the offhands that way. I really like the warhorn but was just curious on opinions. Wasn’t sure if the boon stripping on the offhand is really important or not :P
Haha np.
But boon stripping on the focus is really handy against some classes. Warriors, guards, engis, and ele especially. It can hit for 3k in power builds and also chills. With chill of death you get a 6 boon removal every ~40 secs. I don’t use it on cooldown like I do with reapers touch but it’s still really good when used at the right time.
How i see it:
Focus is power (vuln, chill, boon strip)
Warhorn is utility (interrupt, mobility)
Dagger is condi ( blind, weak/bleed, condi transfer)
So its your choice really but i would prefer Warhorn (although it depends on your build)
1. Berzerker dagger power necro
2. Idk

Ok thx a lot guys, but what is the #1 faster way to get to 500? (Which materialen should i buy to craft?
- where can I get all the deldrimore stuff?
- where can I get the globs of ectoplasm?
- cheaper way to get thermocatiltyc reactor?
- easiest way to get vision crystal?
- where can I get globs of dark matter?
- where can I get recipes for deldrimore steel dagger blade/hilt?
- where can I get berzerker orichalcum imbued inscription?
- easiest (cheapest) way to get deldrimore steel played dowel?
(I only have 24 gold atm and am very new to all the crafting. I really want this dagger and hope to have it ASAP. I have the recipe for the dagger and the zojjas berzerker inscription but for the rest not that much. I have some materials but not like 250+. Hope you guys can help!)
Your build isn’t the absolute highest DPS you can get as a necromancer and most certainly not the highest DPS you can get in PvP.
You take reapers might and spiteful talisman… But completely forget Chill of death.
This is arguably one of the best traits in the Game. It is an instant proc unblockable skill that can do up to 8k damage.
Also you don’t have a stunbreaker and are using runes of the eagle. Which is great for dmg increase when your target is under 50 health. However there are other damage modifier runes that you can keep the 6th bonus up on for longer…. sayyy runes of strength? They equate to over all higher DPS since you can keep it the bonus up longer especially in teamfights. Then their is the lack of a stunbreaker. Yes I know necro stunbreakers are on absurdly long cooldowns however aside from flesh wurm which is just a teleport and requires a pre-cast, necro stunbreakers are pretty friggin awesome. The most awesome of which is spectral walk. It gives you swiftness and a telport within a reasonable timeframe and this teleport is UNRESTRICTED! Which means you can activate spectral walk>darkpath someone drop your wells on them and spectral recall completely back out of the fight… So with those two skills and combo you can bounce in and out of a fight like a thief but not as often… Spectral walk is still great for running in and dropping wells then porting out and going into lich form. Which btw why no lich form? It triples your power and is a teamfight decider especially if you and your team can CC the opposition into the wells that you should have dropped before lich form.Lastly you are running a sigil of battle and no rune of strength? You are really hampering your DPS with that one. Another thing that is absolutely killing your “ultimate” power is the lack of stacking sigils of fire+air in the same weapon set. Having a sigil of air and a sigil of fire in the same weaponset gives you insane burst potential especially since they are on ridiculously short ICDs.
Your trait spread is standard but your rune and sigil and skill choices aren’t very great as well as specific traits. You are missing out on a lot there is nothing like oneshotting a thief, mesmer, or an ele, that is stomping your mate just by using doom because when you do use doom (DS #3) It will proc sigils of air, fire, and chill of death giving you an instant 8-9k damage at range and saving your teammates rear end.
TLDR: This isn’t the “ultimate” powermancer build for the following reasons.
- No chill of death (instant proc/unblockable)
- Could achieve higher DPS/Burst potential with a different runeset (strength/scholar etc.)
- No stacking of a sigil of air+fire combo (seriously try it.)
*Taking signet of spite (signets don’t work in death shroud 6/2/0/0/6 gets all of its DPS from deathshroud, so you are running a counter productive skill to your build.)- No stunbreak (WTF?!)
Here is what I use. I went from the %’s on the leaderboard to the top 100 on this build in a few days.
The DPS and team fight capability is insane with lich form and the two wells which eat up almost every profession… Just gotta play it smart.http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fRAQNAW4djc0UcbNNu0whbCchC63MAahoCBqbjz4ZB-TJBFwACeIAl2foaZAAXBAA
1. Thanks a lot, you have indeed improved my DPS quite a bit. At first I thought, here comes another hater, but you actually gave some really nice advice!
2. I used to run chill of death but than went to the focus mastery because of reapers touch on a 14 sec cooldown, so I could keep permanent vuln on, but some added DPS which doesn’t require casting and rips boons is a bit more useful.
3. After all the hate SoS has been getting i switched to spectral walk. Although I’ll miss my trusted signet I’m starting to really like SWalk. I already got away from a guardian by popping it around a corner and than popping back when he also got around the corner. Plus in team fights the 2% is nice while I’m in DS.
4. I got a 6K hit on another necro with LB while using using your advice, and also an 8.5k life transfer on the same guy. (<I’ll probs out this in my next vid)
5. The fire/air combo is amazing. Lotta extra DPS every 5/3 secs. (Usually around 800-1400) Although on staff I did something different. I put sigil of strength/battle on it. With runes of strength that’s a lot more might. Now when I do staff I spam my marks and than go into DS with LB. After 6 LB’s i have around 15 might!
6. The only things I lost are some precision and ferocity (first 48% and 212% now 39% and 200%) although the added raw damage makes up for it.
Thanks man you improved my build quite a bit. When I was making this build I really wanted runes of the eagle to stay because I would be around 50% crit so that if I go into DS it would be 100%. And yes my sigils were crap, didn’t put much time into thinking about it…
Yea I know, I’ve gotten that before but it’s the I got atm.
I use the passive 180 75% of the time and the active only when things are looking bad.
…teleports and swiftness, and those don’t help ma as much as 180 frickin power.
To be fair, in your video you’ve almost always used the signet as an opener (against players you would’ve beat anyway).
Also, if you want more stats: how about 350 power (and condi dmg) from Blood is Power? Not only does it have a lower cd but it also works in DS.
Well that’s true, but with the active I kill a lot faster. Against people I know Ik going to have a hard time against I probs wouldn’t do that. I used to run BiP with this build but I can already easiliy stack 10 might with life blast and runes of strength. I found that BiP got countered a lot and that I’d really only take it for the 10 might because I have no condi dmg. (<on my condi build BiP would be a 40 sec bleed with 10000 plus dmg I think) Although I’m still switching things here and there.
Yea I’ve been wxperiencing that since yesterday…
No it’s not. The build lacks mobility and or defensive capabilities. Signet of Spite is a horrible signet as far as signets go. It’s basically a one trick pony, if it doesn’t work, you die. The conditions are not special conditions that you couldn’t get otherwise and do you really think anyone will let your conditions tick the full 14 seconds? I’d love to see how you use it defensively while being knocked around. The issue here is, the passive is crap, and the active is weak at best. Anyone with a cleanse will have no problem dealing with it.
Which necro doesnt lack mobility? the closest thing we get to it are some 1200ish teleports and swiftness, and those don’t help ma as much as 180 frickin power. Thats not nothing, and someone who says that’s useless should check their facts. For my build its the best signet and adds very nicely to is. weakness, cripple and vuln for 14 secs with some other condis arent bad either. (And if you time is correctly its hard to miss, like right after block or invuln) No, they probs wont go the entire 14 but usually around 5-9 which is good enough bu=ecause i can DPS them further.
And this is a DPS build. Doesnt require defensive abilities. Plus, not every build can have everything, right?
So I’m confused, you basically go far on a build with low mobility? Mid usually has the most action so I’m guessing you stay away from that, you could stay home but usually you want something bunker ish to do that in case it gets zerged…. I guess I’m just having a hard time seeing this build effective in tpvp, sure it’s good for nuking someone 1v1 unless they have stuns. But then aren’t they’re classes that are better than us at dropping a bunch of damage on 1 player and those same classes are able to disengage and move from point to point much faster than we are able to. Your build is pretty much a necro power dueling build.
I might have been confusing… so to recap: I use this build for everything in sPvP. I dont excel at group fights but im not bad at them either. DS 5/4, staff and well are all very damaging. And yes thats kinda what it is, and although there will always be someone better it works and its quick and effective.
Hey man, check out my powermancer vid/build in my signature. It practically does the same thing as you (vuln stacking and than burst). Instead of helping you find a new build I want to show you how you can land your axe 2, because if it does it does tons of dmg.
I use dagger instead of axe but it’s almost the same. At first do your usual vuln stacking (well of suffering, reapers touch, axe 1, SoSpite if you have it, etc) and than spectral grasp and immob for 4secs with dagger 3. (Spectral grab is optional but I like it a lot because it gets you more LF and chills your foe) he will try to walk/dodge away from you but he’s immobed. Maybe do some more vuln stacking with a well or a reapers touch if it’s of cooldown and than do axe 2 (or in my case some dagger 1’s) If you want to land all your ticks on axe 2 first doom him (DS 3) and than do it. From 0-600 the doom will last 2.5 secs I think. As a powermancer this will do at least 4k dmg, but usually more with vuln.
Hope this helped
Thanks Mystogan.
I’ve tried looking for ‘nem’ – cant find him. Does he have a fuller name? I’ll try your build out tonight and see if I survive!
He means nemesis, a really popular necromancer on YouTube.
Look at the vid in my signature. It’s a full-blown power necro that excels at 1v1. In team fights you gotta stay on the sides and use DS 5/4 and your staff skills. In 1v1 necros aren’t really that squishy because of DS So in total you will have around 40k health. And just a quick question, what class did you play before necro?
Had a quick watch of your video and I like your playstyle, I have a few suggestions
You should take Chill of Death in the Spite Tree, since you are trying to burst players down with your initial combo, when they hit that 50% threshold the added damage and added burst if they have boons is really nice for power builds. Especially deadly if you pop Lich and get some good solid hits on them, because it triggers @ 50% health, it’s additional burst that will take players by surprise. I’ve downed guards in a few hits if they’ve been loaded with boons and I’ve got some good initial burst into them.
I play a similar build, Zerk ammy, Trav runes, but I use double daggers and staff. Having double daggers gives you a condition dump from Dagger 4 and weakness on Dagger 5. Having another way of getting rid of conditions is really helpful in this current condi-spam meta. And weakness helps you deal with players that are relying on endurance.
I also prefer Lich over golem, it’s on long cooldown but if you use it right, can turn the tables on a lot of fights. Especially awesome against Hambows
.
I USED to run the spinal shivers on 50% but i found that reapers touch on a 14 sec cooldown AND 1200 range will really increase my DPS more than chill/condi remove/some dmg on 50% on 20 sec cooldown.
And yes lichform would probs help me more but I like having the extra cc and dmg when he’s not standing around doing nothing
The only reason I said something about no stunbreaker is because currently if your not just playing hotjoins we necros tend to get focused. Without a stun break your dodging is going to have to be absolutely perfect. And even then someone is going to get you with a stun then you basically have to sit there and take it….. kitten that.
This is somewhat true, but I don’t participate in a lot of team fights and tend to take control of a node and than keep that node.
Lot of powermancer topics in the forum right now, check them out. And while you’re at it check my powermancer build vid in my signature
Hey guys just wanted to show you guys my powermancer build which I’ve had quite a while and works really really well.
Pros:
-awesome destructive combo (spectral grab, dark pact, WoSuffering, SoSpite, reapers touch, some dagger 1’s, Doom back into well, dark path, life blasts)
-really nice DPS (especially 1v1)
-Really nice AoE (well, staff, DS 5/4)
-When played right able to win 90% of 1v1’s
-with DS over 40k health
-pull with spectral grab which helps a lot
-lots of LF regen with reapers touch, gluttony, staff 1, spectral grab and the 33% on crit to gain 1% LF (< forgot the name)
Cons:
-no stun breakers (Be wary of hambows!)
-horrible mobility (but this is the case with most necros)
-not a lotta of toughness
-requires some practice… But totally worth it!

This is my post in the necro forums. I was wonderkind how other classes would counter this. I would like to know so i could inprove my gameplay. Thanks in advance
Use the 33% on crit to gain 1% LF. Combine with focus, dagger and 55% crit Chance is LF regen everywhere. Check my vid in my signature to see my gameplay with this.
Check out khalifas D/D build on YouTube. Its quote strong an improves on some of your ideas. Or check out my video in the link below for my power necro! ?
While not having a stunbreaker I increase my DPS. Plus, I prefer the signet over spectral armor because I have enough LF regen and DS to eat some damage and also over spectral walk because mobility isn’t something I was looking for. If anyone wants to run this build with a stunbreaker feel free to do so. Other than that, any other things you guys want to point out? So far it’s only about no stunbreakers. :P
just because I don’t have a stunbreaker doesn’t mean i don’t survive…
While I agree with your general assessment, you could easily give up Signet of Spite in favor of a stun break. The more or less only valid use of this signet is applying cover conditions, but since you don’t play a condi build you have very little reason to run it in the first place.
First of all, has anyone taken a look at the PASSIVE attribute of the signet? 180 power is something to be taken in consideration. I don’t use the active a lot, only if things are going bad. The active is also really not that bad for a power necro. Bleed is the least useful of all because I don’t have a lot of condi dmg (only 100), but the rest is all very helpful. If the opponent is low the poison will decrease their healing, cripple to stop them from coming at you while you place some marks or shoot some life blasts, vuln is self explanatory, blind too and weakness to decrease the dmg from other power build.
And these are all 13 seconds.
TL:DR I use the passive 180 75% of the time and the active only when things are looking bad.
No stunbreakers….. I’m sorry but you need a stunbreaker. It’s not debatable.
First of all thanks for commenting.
Second, just because I don’t have a stunbreaker doesn’t mean i don’t survive. Dodge, fear, pull at the right time to stop a (usually) obvious daze/stun animation. (Warrior hammer f1, necro horn 4) and if that doesn’t work you can always use your DS to eat the damage because you have lots of it. And, in DS doom can always be cast so if you’re expecting a burst or are already stunned doom is your best friend.
