Love seeing more people exploring the world of Tyria but the only concern I currently have is the watered down effect of live events. I also don’t care for the current timer system that is implemented and I don’t believe camping certain events is the most appropriate avenue to take regarding our “living world.”

Love some of the updates but believe some things still need a little polishing and tweaking.

Anyone know the specific date as to when Season 2 will begin? I want to make sure i finish leveling my Mesmer in time…. thanks in advance.

Do they now have a small chance at dropping rare armor skins? If not, do you think this would be added at some point?

Until they address the light blob because this has ruined my pve experience during fights. This was one topic I was hoping would be touched upon for the April update but sadly this has not been the case.

I understand it will take a ton of dev time rehashing spells but I think it would pay dividends in the long run in the form of “quality” game play.

temporal curtain …. i had a few seconds left on my signet boon (swiftness) so I would pop temporal curtain to keep the boon active and instead of adding time to swiftness, the 3 seconds expired with no additional boon time.

It says “stacks duration”

I was talking to a friend about the how to make the gemstore more fair to both the players and Anet, and the idea of having specialized DLC (Downloadable content) as gemstore-purchased account unlocks came up.

Some ideas tossed around were selling gemstore unlocks of new-zones and new dungeons. I see alot of pros and not really alot of cons in this idea as the base game already gives us alot to do. And having more monetary value associated with new content would give the devs more incentive to develop the type of content the player-base desires.

Would you pay gems for an account wide unlock of a new zone?

All other MMO’s I’ve played I’ve been able to see the damage that everybody else is doing as well as my own. This has always been pretty handy for seeing just how strong you rank compared to others and it looked especially good on a 2D MMO I used to play as the numbers would stack up and look awesome in boss fights.

So I was wondering why there’s no option to have it in GW2. I’m level 80 now and play an Ele which supposedly has one of the highest DPS’s in the game. I regularly watch my other half on her PC playing her Guardian which is quite a bit weaker than me so I know that I’m doing okay at the moment but then I always have the curiosity of what other classes around me are doing. Like I heard some guildies talking about doing 25k damage on their Warriors, etc and I’m wondering how on Earth they manage it (unless they just mean Hundred blades stacking.

Basically it would be nice to see the damage of other people so when I’m in a dungeon doing 5-6k crits with my Lightning Hammer, whether that’s doing a good job or whether I’m being outdamaged by somebody else because they have better gear or whatever. Even if they made the other digits for other players damage a different colour or size so that you can always see which is yours?

What do you think?

You can it is F11 Options – Show All NPC Names – Show All Enemy Names – Show all Players names – you can tick those on and off.

Have those all turned off.

Asked around but there doesn’t seem to be an option to turn off name spam in WvW. General settings options > show players names > uncheck doesn’t seem to work in WvW …… why not?

Even summoned minion’s names are shown… we all know how important that is!

I still haven’t fought Teq and I’m hoping this “mega” server will help my cause. In regards to the comment about “they give the best drops in openworld PvE” this comment is silly because I’ve had an ascended weapon drop in WvW and 2 exotics compared to my 1 doing PVE and I assure you I spend more time in PVE.

The dps mechanic for the game is silly. It’s an extremely ambiguous system which needs improvement. This along with the light blob on bosses were the two main problems I was hoping would be addressed in the April update but sadly this will not happen.

The system “won’t be separated into different copies of the same map,” instead…… “match you to a version of the map you’re entering.”

All recipes have never been obtainable in game.

The dragons revelry starcake was never available in game, and was never available in the gemstore.

Queens Jubilee recipes, those were limited time purchasable and account bound.

At least most of the extra living story only recipes end up on the Trading post.

“the Looks of Guild Wars 2” is what’s important here to me and I’m only “hoping” it will entail improvements with the light blob on champs/bosses. I’m not sure why the dev’s don’t want to show off the hard work they put into creating these beasts! To me (pve perspective) this is an important part of the immersion and fun factor as we play and level our character.

Show off those beasts in fights!

Not sure if this has been mention but I wouldn’t mind seeing something implemented like DOTA2 where the community has the opportunity to create armor pieces and various skins to be voted on and put into the game.

On descriptions and various things I’ve seen a lot of these "E’ letters everywhere.

Like on the champion in WvW…. it says “Dazes E Applies Bleeding E High Damage PBaoe”

Just want to say thanks for the sticky thread that you’ve created regarding fps performance. I followed those steps in the thead and went from 30 fps with medium settings to 50fps.

Noticed also my cpu usage has gone down as well! Ran around 60 percent running the game and now I’m between 35-50 percent range.

I’m guessing the settings I had in my nvidia control panel caused some sort of bottleneck between my gpu and cpu?

There are many avenues to take to avoid having that “tank” specific role or “heal” specific role that some feel is necessary.

“imo” The best way to have that more “organized” fight would be a cast bar on bosses. They would of course need improved abilities to counter against melee and ranged. Also they need to improve on that “light blob” so we could see what’s going on in a fight to avoid certain attacks.
