skipping bosses,running into dungeon and trying to excape from trash mobs, and if you succeded stack in 1 corner and dont move and spam buttons.and run again.. if you die ont eh way of this run go back and wait untill the end of dungeon there alone bcos there iws no way for you to go to your team mates alone. bcos all this mobs the “skipped” are still there and they willl eat yo alive..EVERYONE IN THIS GAME IS IN RUSH everybody want to finih it fast ,no one enjoying any fight in this game (i really dont think so) everyone is zerker ( which means kitten stability,kitten,support,kitten heals,kitten other build just get a sword and kill,kill,kill) tey even kicking me out from pug’s as guardian if they see me with staff weapon..this game’s endgame ove has NO DEPT,no fun,just bunch of kids want to finish their dungeon in 10 secs…i dont understand why they rush..when i hit lvl 80 i got my gears from market for 25 golds in total. i was full endgame gear and i had no reason to farm all those lfg dungeons for any gear only 1 reason i am doing them is to get “skin armor” set and thats only cosmetic…really guys what is the reason for all this " rush and skipping and zerker mania in this game.. is it bcos of poor fight design? where you have to handle 60 mobs without any healer,or supoortive class ?..this is what gw2 endgame,quick brief

IMO, it’s rush to the end for your reward because of the reward vs effort put towards getting to the end.

No offence to the OP as I don’t know the total fractals runs they have done, but personally ive ran fractals probably 2500+ times, never once have I gotten a fractal weapon skin, the fractal tonic, I have had 1 ascended armor chest, this is why I no longer run fractals, the rewards for time spent in there are shockingly poor, infact in my last 6 runs I did, the final chest didn’t even drop a ring,
Like it was said a few posts back, its faster to run a few dungeon paths or farm 10 champs and your likely to walk away with better drops.
Anet has never gotten the time vs reward correct in this game, Teq, Wurm for example.

Imo, Fractals cover the role of FoW/UW. They’re far more difficult that the GW1 “dungeons,” and give exclusive loot.

this concept is part of Basic Gambling 101Disagree. We play this game to play, sure, but there is nothing fun about busting your rear in a level 49 fractal and getting nothing, over and over and over again. The drop rates are broken. They need to be fixed. Or even acknowledged.

Tips:
Melee it instead of spamming 1 on a ranged weapon
Make a party, type lfg in say chat or just party random people. You dont even have to talk, its likely out of a large group you can get 4 to join
Use Zerker gear, as you should be anyway as its a world boss.
Use a 50copper or under food or potion to add damage
Use Sigil of Force and Sigil of Accuracy/Air during the actual boss fight.
Stack Bloodlust Or Accuracy in the pre events and moa’s
Dont want to do this? Then dont expect a reward for your zero effort when there are lots of people such as me, and many others who do all of these things and deal way more DPS.
The first two I say has absolutely no bearing on this as like I said I get body loot every single time I do Maw and I’m a SOLO RANGER using longbow and spider.

You are greatly underestimating how far gold sellers will go to sell gold. As long as players can transfer anything amongst each other in any form, gold sellers will exist. It doesn’t matter how much gold they have to forfeit in the transfer, because stealing gold is still free.
The only way to stop gold sellers is to make every single thing account bound. Even then, they’ll sell loaded accounts.
Or, you’re overestimating, I still think this would work if it could be done.

So does the Boss at the end of the Maw event personally drop anything anymore?
Prior to the Feature patch he would almost always drop a rare or two after we defeated him, in addition to the Glorious Chest that spawns. Now since the patch I have never been able to loot anything from him personally.I assume the number of people who do the event is the problem as there are literally hundreds of people pummeling him and yes, I do attend the event during NA prime-time. I have taken all 5 of my Lev. 80s to the event and none have received anything. I do always get a Gold event completion though.
So is anyone getting any drops from him anymore?

Rofl this thread is still going. Seriously mounts ain’t happening they make 0 sense in a game with 100s of Way points zones that are instanced. Plus it would be a waste of resources which could be used elsewhere. Strong logic about mounts in other games so we should have them in gw2. Oh and can you imagine how ridiculous a norn would look ingame on a horse? Yes there are concept arts but they are just that concepts
Drop a few waypoints and add mounts. Because you really don’t need 20 – 30 waypoints in a zone.
You amused me when you said “it would be a waste of resources which could be used elsewhere”. Do you mean more temporary content? Or more Gem store items? Or maybe you mean rehashed content with a skin throw over it and zone change?
The anti – mount crowd is the one whose stuck on other games having mounts. Good try though.

The fact that you can way-point already takes away much of the exploration.
Not to mention the fact that they’ve spelled out a lot of things on the map for us.
As in many other ways, GW2 seems a bit divided on its design for exploration. The world is beautiful, and they’ve done a nice job rewarding exploration. On the other hand, there are far too many waypoints, and a little bit too much indicated by squares and triangles on the map.
Isn’t that entirely up to the player?
I don’t think you are giving people like me enough credit. I love exploring and I will not use waypoints unless i’m in a hurry to get somewhere.
Other people just don’t care about exploring. They want to get where they want to go fast and simple. Waypoints are great for that. I don’t want to spend 10 minute trying to get to the nearest bank to empty my bag or craft. But if I want to enjoy the world. I walk~ I don’t think that you guys should hold the lack of mounts as missing the world and not experiencing it. It’s not a good enough excuseOnce you’ve seen the world in GW2, you’ve seen it. Map exploration one time, I’m good. While some zones have things that are pretty kitten the first time, after the 2nd or 3rd, you’re like meh, I’ve seen it, it’s there, not like it moves or anything.
Alright. So you don’t want mounts. I get it. But what’s stopping you from not using a mount if they ever implement it? The answer is nothing. You can keep WPing or walking or hitting 4 every 15s. And since you like walking so much, if they do remove WPs, you can walk even more!
Look at that. It’s a win/win in the end.

Those games launched with mounts, and people like me didn’t go near them simply because it had pointless mounts in the game serving no purpose.
I’m not against mounts when the game is designed around mounts being a big integral part for whatever reason, and it makes sense. Like a medieval combat game where mounted combat exists inside a trinity of melee/ranged/mounted combat and each has its strengths and weaknesses in different situations. It makes sense from a lore standpoint, and it doesn’t break immersion, and it doesn’t reek of weirdo kiddies.
But I am strongly against:
- “Becuz addin it wud b kewl”
- “Becuz I alwaiiz wanted 2 own a pony but my parents sed no”
- 0 practicality within the game
- Poorly animated
- Poor design
- Poor mechanics
- Lore destroying
- Immersion breaking
- STUPID MODELS
- Insert other reasons I’ve written 200 times before.

I’d love to know how you can be sure a player is a bot.
Because they act strangely. You’ll see them going in circles on the same area, attack foes with the same chain of skills, don’t answer you when you ask them for gold/mats…
However it was quite interesting to follow them and see how they fared up with the foes in Orr, most of them times they were able to kill any that they encountered… Well until I lured 5 risen to them >:D
I’m a solo bearbow farmer and if you or anyone else messaged me or asked in say/map chat for gold or mats I wouldn’t answer you either and i’m not a bot, so, that statement doesn’t hold water and that goes for anyone else being asked for such things, I don’t feed trolls(or at least I try not to).

I’d love to know how you can be sure a player is a bot.
Its very easy to recognise bots once you know what to look for.
They have certain behavoral patterns. The most common ones are:
- Never playing with any ally
- Not resurrecting NPCs or players
- Running away from Champions the instant they come in range
- Attacking invulnerable or obstructed mobs indefinitely
- Not jumping over obsticles or getting stuck
- Running bearbow Ranger or minion NecroThese are just a few of the obvious signs. Of course, you don’t report someone based upon just a few of these signs, you only report when you see them all. Otherwise, you risk tagging perfectly good players as bots.
Furthermore, ANet has 100% ability to verify bots, because bots will always execute actions in a certain way, for example they will not try to complete heart quests, and all of their chat (which is logged) will come off as either spam or nonsense.
There’s little risk of a legit player getting banned even if you accidentally report them because ANet carefully verifies the information beforehand.
But you still shouldn’t report unless you are absolutely sure.
I’d be curious to know how many times I have been reported(I have only 1 character IGN is: Mudbones[LaZy]) as being a bot(so, if you see that name and tag i’m not a bot) because I fit at least 50% of the criteria that you mentioned for being a bot.
I’m a big time SOLO FARMER running bearbow(my bear is excellent for soloing, I use my ranged black widow during events) in FGS and everywhere else, I even hop on trains I see running at the time for areas I go to for more lootz(not concerned with the coinage, just the mats from salvaging).
I would venture to say that 75% of reports on supposed bots are nothing more than people like me and only ties up dev resources on such reports when those resources could have been used to actually be working on the game.

SECONDS away from taking down Teq for the FIRST TIME since this lamentable mega newbie system has been put in place, and what does the game do? It frigging crashes!
Why for the love of God is do we not get credit for events that we have contributed to when the client decides to go mental? The game keeps track of event contribution when a player moves out of range of it, so why not for a short period after logoff?
Seriously this is so bloody frustrating.
Many ragequits were seen from this problem. I just stopped doing mega-bosses entirely because I would crash like 2 seconds before we killed the boss. EVERY friggin time.
I just don’t see why the game doesn’t keep track of event contribution for a minute or so after you DC. Something like, if you would have gotten a gold rating for the event, then give the player a bloody grace period when they time out. When you’re doing network related stuff, handling disconnections and resyncing clients is like top priority.
Still it could be worse – Mechwarrior Online doesn’t even allow players to rejoin a match once they disconnect…
Perhaps ANet could create a gem store item to keep ahold of contributions for a set period of time. 20 gems gets you 5 seconds worth of contribution saving, 40 gets you 20, and maybe 500 gets you 30 seconds? 5 minute buff duration sounds reasonable right? … I think I might be onto something, better delete this thread!
Wouldn’t matter, once you DC and reconnect 9.9 out ot 10 you’re put in a totally different instance and that is where the trouble is.

The PvP tournament is giving away precursors which is a great way to get people to watch. The fact that someone watching will get what I’ve busted my kitten trying for a year and a half to get with no success isn’t great.
How is just watchin/observing the tourny going to give you a CHANCE at getting a precursor? Or are you talking about leeching/AFKing during a match? What a mindset to be a professional AFKer.

The Mystic Forge is going to get a lot of changes this year. To kick things off, we’re adjusting the way Zommoros distributes rare and exotic rewards a bit, allowing for more variation in output. *This is just a stepping stone to further changes that will make the Mystic Forge a much better experience in the future. *Please note: the rate of precursors will not be affected.

A texture mod that actually changes models would probably be something ANet would ban for. It’s highly exploitable, and I’ve seen something like that go very, very bad in another game I used to play.
Spiders are somewhat avoidable in GW2, though. There is the spider guild rush, the spiders blocking the passage to Grenth, a couple of jumping puzzles that have spiders in or near them, and a small handful of hearts that deal with spiders, but beyond that, you can avoid them (and if your friend is not totally committed to 100% map completion, they can skip those hearts/JPs). This is just off the top of my head, so there may be more, but I think most are avoidable.
I play with a serious phobia of deep water, and have no small amount of trouble in the water zones, so I understand where your friend’s coming from. It is possible to limit exposure to spiders, though, if he or she is unable to just push through it for those handful of times interacting with or being around spiders is necessary for events or mapping.
A tex-mod only changes what the user(client side) of the mod sees not what others see and was used A LOT and allowed in GW1, so I(just from that) would ASSUME it to be allowed here as well if one was to ever be made and it worked identical to the way it did in GW1.

The only reason the devs and customer support are swamped right now is because they LISTENED to the community and implemented many, complicated far reaching yet awesome changes that take time to handle and properly adjust – based on constructive feedback – satisfactorily, often going customer by customer

It’s funny that you mention that, because I remember that Blackgate was the server every other server would Guest into in order to complete special events, and the native Blackgatonians hated it!

Yes they do.
You have to keep in mind however that someone actually need to investigate the logs and such. They can’t just blindly ban people because of reports.
It is also rather unlikely that a first offense (if not extreme) would end with a permanent ban, but rather with a few days suspension.
Not to mention the MULTITUDE of trivial reports for the likes of someone calling someone else an kittenhole.
