ANET needs money to do these things and seeing as how this is a B2P game maybe after a few more millions game sales they can/will do something and I say for starters upgrading their servers to a better Internet backbone for starters.

From the wiki:" Applying an upgrade to an item causes it to become soulbound, except for account bound gear, which will remain account bound after upgrading."
So they are souldbound to you now and that is why you can’t send them.
TYVM, now the devs need to fix the item wording when this is done because the items are not being listed as soulbound once Runed, they STILL SAY “Soulbound on use”.

This question is for the devs, but, if anyone thinks they know feel free to enlighten me. Why can’t I mail items I have crafted for someone once Runes/Sigils have been put on them, I can’t even sell them on the TP, even though you can buy/sell/mail items with Runes/Sigils on them as the items crafted/Runed DO NOT become soulbound, they are still listed as “soulbound on use”, I found this out the hard way. This seems to be a bit off.
ALSO, why can’t we sell our unused gathering tools and such back to the merchant once you move up to the next tier. There sure are a lot of [/b]USELESS TO SOME[/b] items that are account bound that could be handed off or sold to the merchant or other players instead of destroying them or cluttering up your inventory/bank space

There is also the issue of group leaders exiting right after looting the chest, resulting in everyone booted from the instance.
I thought the patched that? Oh crap, I hope they did, I’ve looted the chest and exited straight away a lot recently for CoF1 runs when I was the one who opened the instance….
Unless they patched this in the past couple days it has not been addressed as this has happened to me in the past few days, group leader leaves and POOF no drops retrieved.

With these 2 results I will say that the Bars did improve my finds but on the others I am skeptical of the results but make your own deductions.

Now this may come off as a bit of a rant but i dont care. I do not think in order to get 100% map completion, you should have to do WvWvW. I know people have already gotten it but they obviously enjoy pvp. I dont and im sure there is other hardcore strictly PvE orintated players who wont ever get 100% completion. There should be a change so like in the mists the WvWvW stuff does not count toward map completion. I just do not understand why a PvE achievement has any pvp aspects to it. This is almost a game breaker for me because i will for ever sit at 92%… and its a shame.. I’ve never pvped in any game and i never will it just doesn’t float my boat per say.. nothing will prolly come from this i just want it to be known.. i hope in the future this will change. Say what you will i know this post will be attacked.. i just want to hear other peoples opinions on the matter.. that includes you strictly only PvPers!

Everything mentioned in this thread is about tooltip errors, nothing more.
There is no difference between 10% and +10%, it’s just an inconsistent tooltip.
There IS a difference 10% in all cases I have encountered with this wording meant a FLAT RATE of 10% whereas +10% meant an ADDED amount of 10% on top of what is already there.

Ok, I will make a run in my full Zerker armor and jewelry set with no MF and a run using an Omnomberry Bar then post those results.
I have gotten MANY Rares, 5 Exotics and 0 Precursers since having my MF set.

Now you guys can draw your own conclusions, my take is that drops are only [/b]MARGINALLY BETTER due in my opinion to the speed of kills while in armor and not the percentage of MF one has, if it does help it’s only MINIMAL[b]. They need to reword the MF percentages to be, as an example, Omnomberry Bars should read .30% MF. You be the judge.

I will say that magic find absolutely works and I have a whole album of exotic drop screenshots to prove it. I posted about a month back all my exotics I got since January. I had about 35 or so from drops alone. Since that post I’ve had close to 10 more.
Gratz, but, you are one of the rare few. I have had rares aplenty, 3 cheap exotics and 0 precursers since starting GW2 back since all betas, headstart.

Unless there’ a MAJOR break in logic, the food should stack cumulatively.
What you should be more worried about is drop table manipulation.
Lets say I’m farming a mob for its fine materials. Let’s assume this under non-DR circumstances. Lets say the mob does a roll for loot 50% of the time, and if that roll is successful, it will drop a fine material 40% of the time instead of grey garbage. To get an effective 100% roll chance at the second stage of rolls I would need 150% magic find.
Does that then mean that any magic-find over 150% does absolutely nothing in affecting my drop chance for fine materials?
Edit: Farming for 1 hour with all those different sets is a bad sample size. I doubt you’d get refined results like that.
I’m doing the 1 hour farm to get by the DR and not farming there again for 24hrs. We will see. I got day 1 done. Will dig this thread up again once I’m done to post my my drops for each and see the comments/thoughts/deductions.

I will be performing a test on this just to see the difference in drops over the next few days. Each day I will be farming 1(the same one each day) of my honey holes first farming naked then next day naked with Omnomberry bars(30%MF) next day with my MF gear(103MF no bars) then the next day with my MF gear(103MF and bars) next day with my Zerker set(no MF) then the next day with my Zerker set(+bars) to see what I get, this will be done for 1 hour each day documenting my drops for each day and I will post my results if interested. I’m doing it this way due to the DR on farming.

ANET should seriously consider making the commander icon displayable ONLY in WvW!
I’m not sure if I totally agree with this one, only because they can be great when doing the Guild Missions or other guild-related events out in the PvE world. If anything, the Commander icon should be disabled in major cities, which the icon itself serves very little practical use.

I loved GW and all its expansions although parts of “Factions” could make you want to gouge your eyes out with a fork. With 6000+ hours of game-play I think I qualify for being a GWaholic.

I have 4 Lv80s yet I only actually play with one of them. I understand the idea that the loot is based off of each character instead of account. If you enjoy playing with your alts it’d be quite sad that you get punished for playing with more than one character.
If someone’s done an event with one character, decides to play with another and is in the area to do the same event again, they should be allowed to do so. Not to mention lots of people share accounts and have a character for each different individual that plays the account, so it’d be a shame that one person’s fun limits the other person’s fun.
I think the real issue here isn’t why loot isn’t account wide… but why loot isn’t world wide. (((If you’ve done Jormag with said character today, why oh why can you repeat and do Jormag again with the same character if you go to another world? That is what I think shouldn’t happen, if you’ve done Jormag at all with said character you should not be able to repeat it with the same character if you’re guesting.)))

So much lag at events that a few times I wasn’t able to get skills to activate and didn’t cause enough damage to even get a chest reward and not being able to do event again because of the chest nerf not letting you get a chest because of the once a day dictation.

You can’t carry over anything from Guild Wars to Guild Wars 2.
The only thing that gets transferred, is Hall of Monument points and the “God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals” title. Names that you used in Guild Wars also got carried over to Guild Wars 2, but that time limit has ended.
Not just the HoM points and GWAMM get carried over, so does MANY weapon and armor SKINS as well, also the Black Widow spider that was capped in GW is now a useable attack pet for the Ranger.
Those aren’t carried over though. They are rewards from the Hall of Monuments points that you accumulate. If you had a Felbade in Guild Wars, and no Hall of Monument, you wouldn’t get that in Guild Wars 2. You need the Hall of Monument points in order to get the Felblade in Guild Wars 2.
So while they are similar to items we had in Guild Wars, they are not the same. They are rewards, not actual items carried over.

Most annoying thing in this game is now WE MUST PLAY like ANET wants us to play, as in chests for bosses only drop once daily per character so those that prefer NOT TO do other things no longer have fun. Bring back ability to do dragons or WHATEVER multiple times and get rewarded for it.
