I just finished the Shadowbeast meta-event, in fact I guested to another server because I missed the one on my home server. The bonus chest contained Dusk.

Yes, but is very situational.
1) Ranger – period. Broken/useless profession, this is not news. Players need to be discouraged from playing this.
2) A second Necro/Engineer. One of these hogs the condition limit themselves, having another is a big drain. I will, however, ask the Necro if they are a power build before removal.I often kick others for weapon choice as some are objectively bad, but thats another story.
Don’t be hatin on my Ranger.{:þ I hold my own and do good damage with 9500+ crits that happens pretty regularly.

I was wondering, If you take the Boat From LA, why do you end up in an Asura gate? I think if you are going to take a boat, you should arrive at a boat on the other side. Add a gate in the Asura Gate Plaza leading to Southsun so therefore you could have a boat and Asura gate to travel.
I agree with the boat part and as far as an Asura Gate for Southsun, there is now one near the Fractals gate.

I quit farming the day I noticed I was only getting one tier 6 mat per 2 hours.
Unless you have a serious bug with your loot tables or you refuse to rotate somewhere else when DR kicks in, I don’t see how this can possible. I never spend more than 30 minutes at Pent/Shelt at a time – and that’s the only farming I ever do in this game – and I get four or more T6 mats from bags every time. And most of the time I’m not even running MF food/buffs.
You are either the luckiest person on the planet or you have a dev in your pocket(j/k). since day 1 I have only found a little more than a stack of Cryst. Dust.

Tab target seems to go to the mob furthest away from you – it’s hilarious.
That’s because tab target is target next, not target nearest.
In options you can set which setup you want when pressing TAB.

You guys realize this is not a target based game like WoW but a collision one like TERA, right? If you fire a projectile at target A, and secondary target B is in the path of the projectile, you will hit B, not A. Similarly, if you swing your single target melee skill at target A and target B is between you and them (keep in mind most melee skills really have a range of 120 or 150 which is roughly two character models away) you will hit B, not A. It’s not a deficiency of targeting, it’s one of positioning.
This is wrong for the simple reason that I have on many occasions targeted A while B is between me and A and killed both A and B with the one shot.

I as well have some of the same issues with targets getting routed somwhere else and I can live with that, my biggest gripe with targeting is the total dropping/losing your target lock requiring you to re-target said target.

When I want gold, I go to the glitched camp in Brisban Wildlands. I, quite literally, stand in one spot and collect loot bags from the neverending mobs (mobs that are so glitched that their loot isn’t affected by diminishing returns).
Butter and chocolate = an easy 100g+ per 8 hours of farming. Not to mention the crafting mats and magic items.

I didn’t glitch the mobs out. I am simply doing what I am supposed to…..defend the camp from invaders. If Anet considers it an exploit, then they should fix it. I’m not stopping them. I’m merely taking full advantage of the mechanics the game has provided me. In other words, I’m playing the game rather than the game playing me.
I think it’s called taking advantage of a situation you clearly knew(by your own admission by calling it glitched) was not intended instead of reporting it. If i’m wrong you have my apologies.

The BL kits are still good and do return more ectos than the master. If you knew the problem was being investigated then why buy BL kits or use the ones you were saving? Couldn’t go a day or two without breaking down your supply of rares?
He was running tests to help determine if they were also affecting the Black Lion Salvage Kits. Please read more than one post by that poster to determine this.

I am all for transparency, however, I am not upset by a change this minor being left out of the list when it is obvious to me what they did and that it had absolutely no affect on the item or game-play.

An Anet official still hasn’t reply, so I would like to kindly ask again: Can people expect a compensation of any sort?
I contacted support, their first reply so far was that they won’t even refund the 300 gems I spent on the last stack of BLKs. That was a really minor thing to ask for that should be a given considering I paid real money for it. I’m really not impressed by that attitude towards customers. If something’s free and bugged, well bad luck. But that was a real money transaction.
+1 IF what you say is true, why they would reimburse 1 and not all who SUBSTANTIALLY CONTRIBUTED, very easy for ANET to confirm whether you did or not. Hope they reconsider if so.

EDIT: i was just contacted in game by a moderator. THANK YOU ANET for the quick response and compensation. This has deffinetly made the ecto bug a little less painful.
id just like to know if there were ANY plans to compensate the people who lost untold amounts of gold, ectos, rares, gems, ect while this whole process to figure out the Ecto salvage bug was going on. This affected ALOT of players but not all.
i my self spent ~20$ on gems( and then blk kits) only to get half the return rate for ectos over the last 3 days.
I really think that just sweeping this under the rug and chalking it up as "unintended bug so its not our fault " is the absolute worst decision possible.

Eh, all I lost was 2 Rares, so I’m not going to make extra work for the ANet support staff. I agree that the people who did the hard research salvaging hundreds of Rares/Exotics to prove the bug should be compensated for their work though.

@Erasculio: obviously they are smart enough to notice, that this time there are a lot more players with relevant sample sizes showing a significant decrease of the ecto-rate. If you had taken a closer look, you could have noticed that difference between the regular patch-whining and this thread.
Let’s wait and see how disappointed you really are, when they acknowledge this bug.
@Conncept: just to stay correct: the OP salvaged 166 items. He bought them with 5000 CoF-tokens.
No, they’re not as smart as you think they are, you actually think they test these patches before they put them in, and if they do test them they don’t do it thoroughly in anyway or else we wouldn’t be getting 10 more bugs every time they try and fix 1 bug with a simple 8 file patch.
They could avoid so much work by adding a test server players could log onto and play the new content for a couple days and give them feedback on.
That’s why ANET has the ALPHA SERVER to test things before it’s released(they just may be doing it hurriedly). You’re grabbing at straws now.

So what’s the worst drop (that can be sold) in the game? What’s the drop that you hate getting the most?
Personally, I hate getting black lion chests. With a sell price of 4 and a buy price of 3 on the TP, they’re practically worthless. In fact, are they literally the worst drop that can be sold? Is there anything else that drops – that you can sell – that’s worth less?
In fact, I’m thinking of deleting all my BLC’s in protest once I get 250 of them
Also: putrid essences — when you see you got a yellow item and it turns out to be a putrid essence .. that’s pure disappointment!

Honestly the invasions and stuff don’t happen as much when there are less people, when the current story is over the majority of people will leave and it will quieten down a lot.

But yes, Anet has always had some anti-farming policies, and rightly so in my opinion. But you could always farm feathers. lol

I never said anything about there being no DR in Guild Wars and I was a farming fool with 13 mules all maxed in gold as well as my bank all from farming. Man, what are you on? I keep running into this weird effect that happens once or twice in about a 5 minute period were when I go to attack someone and I use my #3 skill for rifle or my 100b or any skill for either weapon and you hit the button but it activates and nothing happens and the character sits there doing nothing. Im not lagging the #1 skill works but when I go to use other ones it kind of freaks out and does nothing, no confusion or blinded or whatever. Has this happened to anyone else running a warrior? I find it really frustrating when you are in a fight vs someone and at that key moment you use your skill to melt your foe and it FAILS to work, ultimately leading to your own demise.
It is most definitely lag but not on your end, it’s SERVER lag.

Why is it JUST CoF p1 that ANET allows to be farmed and not ALL dungeons/paths? Anyone have insight/thoughts on this?Cause they can’t just nerf the rewards in the dungeon like they do in open world. They are probably working on redesigning the instance like they did to other dungeons and that takes more work.
This is right. CoF is probably going to get the AC treatment, maybe a bit harder since it’s a higher level dungeon.
Sorry makes absolutely no sense, they changed the other dungeons but not this one. What is harder/different about this one dungeon/path that makes it harder than the others to change? NEXT

I seldom stay for longer than 30 minutes tops, usually on my way through to somewhere else. Not speaking for anyone else, I get the same stuff I always have. Bags, blues, greens, occasional rare, whites, and greys. For about a half hours farming I get about 20 or 30 bags, which is really all I’m after anyway.
The fact is, if farming actually ever gets nerfed, you will see it’s effects in game. Currently, T6 mat prices are still affordable, and have remained close to the same. That to me reflects that no real nerfs have hit farmers.
If the drop rates actually get nerfed, it will be more than farmers coming onto the forums to complain.
Check out the spiders in tunnel between Pent/Shelt no drops anymore.
