What is free about it…I pay money for gems and the kitten box. The only thing that is permanent for me is my visa bill…
You don’t HAVE TO spend RL money, that is entirely your own decision, so, yes free content.

The credits list that Inculpatus cedo.9234 posted is way out of date (probably from the Nightfall days if memory serves), so don’t refer to it for GW2-related discussions, please. Many of those folks have change roles or moved on to other companies.
Yet you avoided the OP question ?
SHHHH, it’s a secret.
Mud Bone – Sylvari Ranger
Across all characters, you have played for 3,256 hours 58 minutes over the past 9 months.
I play only 1 character.

I switch between daggers and staff all the time and when I go to a vendor when my bags are full, I always have to be carefull that I don’t vendor one of my exotics. Or worse, my Bifrost. I just log-in and they ask in my guild chat to link the Bifrost. But, I can’t find it anymore in my back pack. So the thing I feared must have happend, I accidently sold my Bifrost for 3 silver.
It’s shouldn’t even be possible! Who would willingly sell their legendary for three silver? Is there really not a way to prevent your frequently used weapons from appearing all over your back pack when the inventory is full? Give designated back space for it or something
And invisible bags are useless, when the weapon doesn’t go in there in the first place.
Get an invisible bag for items you DO NOT WANT to be seen by vendors, that is what they are for, never had the problem of not being able to put an item in it.

Is this a bug or intended?
Just want to know (wasn’t sure which forum to put this in).
Edit: I’m referring to the down state #3 rez, where the pet goes invulnerable for a few seconds to rez ranger at a very fast pace, and continues doing so even if the pet dies or is interrupted.
I have used the #3 downed state skill many times and of those I and my pet has been killed on many occasions. I have noticed that the pet isn’t interrupted during the res but can be killed during this action, the one thing that gets me is the ability to have said pet res you even if/when the pet was killed first. Here comes another pet nerf. -LOL

I wish they would bring the old GW1 skins here, IMO they were so much better looking, both weapon and armor.

I’m highly doubtful that the crates still drop though. I’ve been out there quite often since the event ended and have never seen a crate drop since Last Stand ended. It’s wishful thinking that the crates are still there and I still have a (extremely rare) chance at getting a blinky staff.
I can confirm that they still drop, but in essence you’re right. Without the 200% magic find bump they are much less frequent and in addition the odds of getting a sclerite weapon are ridiculously low.
I too can vouch that they indeed do still drop, I go there once daily to make my rounds of farming areas and have gotten about 12 since the Southsun event ending.

How about a good grilled Charr-burger.

A bit vague as to what you are seeing.

Only time I go to Orr now is to farm the daily Omnomberries then I GTFO.

I was just wonder as to ANET’s policy on this. I realize there’s the auction house, but when it comes to selling large items you get taxed so heavily that it’s a deterrent. If they took out all the money (including listing fee) after it sold that would be one thing. Getting off track, but I finally finished making a Kudzu. I want to use the profits from it to help 2 of my friends get their precursors.
Could ANET could answer this:
If I make a trade with another player via mail system, both have in-text agreements and confirmations as to the deal, would ANET punish the player as to the “scamming” report as well as return the bow if they did nothing but attempt to steal it?Anet has already stated previously that they are not responsible if you use the mail system for trading. It has been stated time and time not to use the mail system for trading and doing so is at your own risk. Basically by that statement it means you cant report them for scamming or anything cause you took the risk.
As Sudden said, already been hashed out, you are basically on your own unless ANET is in a good mood when you get scammed out of your goods and/or money.
Mud Bone – Sylvari Ranger
If they ban you for using it then ANET will need to ban itself since they turned the community on to this jewel.
Mud Bone – Sylvari Ranger
buff is when they make a class overpowerful in comparison to the others.
nerf is when they take away an unfair advantage.
This made me literally Roll On Floor Laughing.

I say no more than 15 minute window for those without a pre-event, those with a pre-event should start at it’s prescribed times.

OMG! Another ‘I Hate RNG’ thread. I guess 1,203,394,740,135 of these threads isn’t enough. We can always use one more.
They need 10 times more the number you have given, then maybe, but only maybe will they do something about it.

One day it came to pass that Trahearne was finally captured by the Orrians, bound up and tossed into the bottomless pit of despair. His last words can still be heard echoing up from the depths… “This well won’t end!”
I see what you did there. -LOL {:þ

Just how useless can ANET make the Ranger.

Introducing a new, permanent jumping puzzle! An Aetherblade airship is hidden inside a holographic mountain – find your way in, fight with the pirates inside, and prove your prowess using a pair of hard-to-find diving goggles.
Enduring the trials of the Not So Secret jumping puzzle will win you a set of exotic shoulderpads.
Color me EXCITED. The only JP to reward a guaranteed exotic is the Mad King’s. If this JP is so hard it warrants an exotic reward….
SUPER HYPED.
Here’s hoping the shoulderpads are actually usable by your character, isn’t soul/account bound, a usable/desired skin, sell-able and salvageable, as I’m sure many/most already have the armor they intend to use.

Am I the only one who is REALLY disappointed in Guild Wars 2 mechanic wise? Don’t get me wrong, i still enjoy the game, just not even remotely close the fun i got out of the original. When they released the skill/weapon sets for the game it broke my heart.:(
P.S. Have they(ANet) mentioned why the didn’t make the skill bar at least similar to the original?
I agree with every word you said with the addition of why did they try to fix what wasn’t broken and just improved what was already used. +1 to ya.
Mud Bone – Sylvari Ranger
Honestly, it’s this type of thing that causes me to dislike F2P models. I would MUCH prefer a straight forward subscription based model where gimmicks like this aren’t necessary.
Not to mention F2P props up poor games that simply failed to grab a real market…in other words, it artificially makes bad games financially viable.
That’s just it, I would expect this kind of game-play with the gem-store items and the RNG drops from a F2P game but not GW2 which is B2P. When it starts being a P2W game that’s when I most likely will bid ANET adieu and say it’s been a fun 7+ years..

I just launched myself through to DR from LA using the portal gun.

i like single player content. you are wrong on this one, op.
So the single fact you like playing it solo means the OP’s point is completely wrong ?
Wow, you guy just won the egocentric medal of the week.yes, there is a surplus of multiplayer only content in these game (that even forces it upon the player, rather than making it a choice). solo play is usually ignored.
I soled 95 to 98% of GW2, no problem, on a Ranger no less. Only things I found not solo-able were dungeons and some events needed along the way in the/your story-line while leveling up.
Mud Bone – Sylvari Ranger
With everything actually wrong with the game, and there’s plenty, a ten minute instance is just that. It obviously had to be made soloable. Taking time to scale it…probably not worth it. Would be different if it was an hour instance.
WAIT, HOLD UP. Am I reading this right?
Mud Bone – Sylvari Ranger
I would think it could be used to set yourself in a prolonged AFK state without getting kicked and would get abused real fast.

Welcome to the wonderful world of culling, there is/was dev talk of scaling this back, removing it or revamping it, who knows. It is annoying and amusing all at the same time.

The reason why abbreviations are used is for speed. I like your advise to type it out. However I would argue that it should be done on the second time not the first.
I recommend also looking at the manual in this game it is the wiki. Wish it was more wiki and less Dulfy but that is the way things are at the moment.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/AbbreviationsFunny thing is though ooc is not as common as he thinks as it is not on the wiki.
ooc is an abbreviation used in FPS games, hence, why it’s not on the wiki.
Mud Bone – Sylvari Ranger
An unnecessary stab at people who do not share your vision of an RPG, perhaps?
Nope. A criticism on how players are responsible for some of the worst flaws in GW2.
I’m not going go to into how a farmer basically states that he’s no better than a Skinner rat. It wouldn’t bother me that much if it were just a matter of someone renouncing his humanity like that. It isn’t, though.
What farmers (and grinders, addicts and exploiters) have taught MMO developers is that there is no point in making a game fun. Fun is subjective – trying to make a given piece of content to be “fun” will, 100% of the time, result in something that some will like, and others will not. Making fun content is hard, too.
But do you know what is very easy do build? Grind. Just throw something players can kill over and over, give a shiny reward for it, and players will jump there. No need to actually work to make it interesting, farmers don’t care.
As a result, what updates do we get in Guild Wars 2? Improved storytelling? Better cinematics, like what we had seen in the original Guild Wars by the time of the BMP? Challenging content?
No, of course not. There is no point in any of that. Making repetitive, mindless content and throwing 200% Magic Find is enough to make farmers play until their fingers bleed. Who cares about good content? Grinders certainly do not.
MMORPGs won’t ever be great games, because the current community of MMORPG players don’t want great games – they want to revel in cesspools of grind.
Interesting contradictions. Fun is subjective, but you get to decide what is fun for others.
TY, although I’m not one of those static farmers, when my omnom dose wears off I usually move to a new area even so far as to go to a totally new zone. I’m an equal opportunity farmer. It’s how I like and want to play plus it helps my guildies with needed mats/armor/weapons.

When I first started I would get up at 10:00am MST and log-in by 10:30am MST and play as I do now, only difference between then and now is I was able to do it for a lot longer and/or more often, logging off between 4:30am MST and 5:00am MST.
See the difference in time played.
I only play 1 character(Sylvari Ranger) 3,199 hours 50 minutes over past 9 monthsIf the farming nerfs have stopped you from farming 16 hours per day, you should thank ArenaNet. Do you have a job, go to school or something like that?
No job, worked enough for both of us, school(been there done that), the something like that has been done I am now relaxing, enjoying what I do.
Mud Bone – Sylvari Ranger
I log in around noon MST, sort through my bags, buy/sell as needed, pick-up any earnings from the TP, drink coffe and proceed to farm some fishies off the Southsun coast, after about an hour(2 Omnomberry Bars), then, I will go farm the Skelk/Polar Bears and Trolls in Frosrgorge Sound waitng on 6pm MST to do my dailies, Dragon/Meta events as they come up on the API timer, help guildies that may need assistance(Fractal/Dungeon) while getting all the events and dailies done in between and I log off between 9:30pm MST and 11:30pm MST.

None. They are not allowed unfortunaly. They want to keep everyone on a level playing field as much as possible. I think part of it my be that it would be hard to distinguis between a macro and a bot.
The use of macros are allowed in GW2.
Mud Bone – Sylvari Ranger
I just popped a holo projector in Iron Marches which brought the Orr holos out and it drew two warthogs to boot. Not counting the initial KD, and two evades I was knocked down and/or stunned SEVEN TIMES IN A ROW before I could even begin the fight.
For the love of all that is holy, STOP WITH THE ENDLESS CC in this game from every freaking mob. It is not “challenging” it is not fun it is strictly infuriating and pointless and drags fights out for absolutely no reason.
Getting pulled a half dozen times in ten seconds by spiders is MADDENING. Getting constantly locked down because every enemy in the area can do a knockdown or stun is MADDENING. Stop. With. The. Ceaseless. CC.
Video documentation please. I refuse to believe you were stunned 7 times in a row. Also dodges and condition removal is there for a reason. CC is not bad at all in this game.
It’s very easy to be hit by 7 or more CCs depending on how many mobs are in the swarm.
Mud Bone – Sylvari Ranger
Since the advent of the Southsun living story, the guild rush in Southsun, already the hardest of them all, has gotten a lot harder.
We had two decent sized guilds today, working together and we couldn’t finish it because of the combination of old and new events that made it beyond hard. I’m guessing no one but one of the “mega guilds” could get 15 people through within the time limit.
I think the devs need to look at this, since it’s much harder than it was at inception.
Had this one today and must agree 100% +1.

NTY the “Living Story” saga is very boring and short, those areas are to vast for that, full expansions with new permanent content and adventures I can buy.

Like several other people are saying, the problem isn’t how strong cc is or how easy it is to counter it, but how unfun it is when it’s so frequent.
I’d like to see how frequent and lengthy. AFAIK, things have not changed with CC since beta.
All I can reply to this without getting infracted is just, hmmmm. CC by mobs has tripled if not quadrupled in use, very funny/annoying, especially if your just trying to run by
Mud Bone – Sylvari Ranger
That mini’s don’t follow at your run speed and instead lag behind and port to you. Also that they don’t stay equipped.
Seriously, it’s a quick fix, why is this still happening?
They never fixed it in GW1 why would they fix it now.
Mud Bone – Sylvari Ranger
Cursed Shore is a cess pool for drops, CoF p1 is the thing today but only if you run certain gear/build, so, no there is not 1 spot that is viable just kill/loot all and hope for the best, like the RNG.
Mud Bone – Sylvari Ranger
I and I’m sure the majority of others have been pleading this case for several months now and just waiting on a response, so far still nothing.
Mud Bone – Sylvari Ranger
I would like to see the mini-games to be steered to more of a character interaction game like what “Rollerbeetle Racing” was in the original GW.
Mud Bone – Sylvari Ranger
Capes without a GUILD HALL, no. GUILD HALL with capes, yes.
Mud Bone – Sylvari Ranger
I farm infractions. lol
Oh please. I’ve been banned so many times I’m now on a 2-week cooldown.
Haven’t been infracted in 2 months, though. Record.
And the infractions incurred are frivolous jokes.

Same old boring observations, hee are the facts….again:
1) No one is asking for MORE T6 mats to drop…they are asking them to be put back to their previous rate. The one no-one complained about.
2) Just because YOU don’t want a legendary to enjoy the game….does not mean EVERYONE thinks like you.
3) A legendary, although always an effort to get is in most peoples eyes (myself included) is now just not worth bothering with…this was not the case 3 months ago. Indeed it is vastly unfair to change the drop rates of the items required when people have already achieved there goal when rates were reasonable.
4) Playing the auction house is an option that a LOT of people do not want to have to endure. This is an action based MMO…not a futures trading simulator. If I wanted to have spreadsheets and analyse the markets in order to make a killing and was capable fo being remotely succesful at this I would not be doing it here. I would be doing it with real money in real markets. This game is not a job.
5) Seriously, who cares about your observations? The sheer number of complaints about the loot issue are an indicator that a LOT of people aren’t happy. Not fixing this will eventually damage the game for everybody, because a lot of people will not play. Without players (and more importantly players who are happy to spend cash) this game will die. This will affect you whether or not you care about loot and legendaries.
6) That there has been absolutely no official response to thousands and thousands of posts about this issue is a very real indicator that the publisher and the developer do not care. Again, this is an issue.
7) Your thoughts on the matter are not relevant and have been repeated hundreds and hundreds of times.
8) The complainers thoughts ARE relevant and require an OFFICIAL response, not some speculative objection to the complaint based on YOUR personal theory that everyone should play the game like you do and want the same things out of it that you do.
There really is nothing at all worth saying on this topic unless an official response is received to any of the hundreds of threads that have already asked for one.
Your objections are adding nothing, the question has been asked, the developers need to answer…and then people can decide if they want to abandon the game and leave it to the people who dont want it changing.
A very consise and to the point post, especially #6 which I took the liberty to underline italicize and bold to the fact.
Mud Bone – Sylvari Ranger
Really? Why is that? Are you assuming its required that I buy it or buy a precursor? Because neither of those are required purchases.
Nope, its assuming that you will have to buy everything else, the T6 Mats, the lodestones etc etc…because if you wait for them to drop you will be waiting a VERY long time indeed.
But what if I play the game for the sake of playing a game, and just let the rewards and loot happen rather than grinding and farming for them (bc I think both are silly ways to spend time enjoying a video game). Eventually I will have collected many of the materials already. And honestly, I think thats fitting. I shouldn’t be a Legend until I’m truly a legend.
Didn’t you know, everyone here ARE legends, even if only in their own minds. -LOL
