As OP said QD is beat among these 3 traits. When you are taking skirmishinging QD it is.
Most dangerous game is too much risk reward and only works well with troll ungient as heal. The might goes as fast as it comes and doesnt help the ranger at all.
Light on your feet isnt that bad of a trait but you have always to keep escaping to keep the dmg up. LoyF is only worth taking if using SB and still inferior to QD.
All sad facts. Trait improvements are needed.

Trap issues

Frost trap adds weakness, dmg increased by 100%, longer chill duration.
Vipers nest dmg increased by 100%, poison duration 50% longer.
One trap needs to get a stunbreak.
Add an elite trap.
Bit shorter cooldown on healing spring.

I would give the stunbreak to frosttrap because its extends its uses. I would give vipersnest rather a longer duration in general instead of poison duration, it will give more combo opertunity and more stacks. Condi duration can very well increased by gear ans runes.

The elite trap one is like every other skillset that misses a skill, Anet should finally address this.

Striders defense should give us something like 1 stack of might every time you evade an attack (not an evasive roll), most dangerous game should give less might stacks but beginning at 90%. Light on your feet should give you a stackable buff when you evade an attack that improves condi dmg and duration. The duration of the stack should be reasonably long so you can benefit from it.

Eh, I’d rather those traits have more synergy with other traits in Skirmishing. Like I have been suggesting for awhile on those traits:

  • Strider’s Defense moved to Grandmaster and changed so we get a buff that lasts 2s whenever we apply vigor to ourselves that makes all weapon skills destroy projectiles. Keep the cooldown reduction and add a 10% damage modifier while wielding a sword to make up for the aftercasts introduced with the new sword animations.
  • Most Dangerous Game moved to Master and changed to give 1 stack of Might (5s) every second we have vigor. We can then start having a synergy combo of Primal Reflexes -> Most Dangerous Game -> Strider’s Defense with vigor as a common thread.
  • Light On Your Feet changed to simply add +10% condition damage when we have Swiftness. It would be flexible with many condition builds across all modes, and has synergy within Skirmishing with Tail Wind minor and Evasive Shot on shortbow.

If we can have those changes, then Sharpened Edges can stay right where it is, even though its current iteration and spot doesn’t really bother me. I just want better synergy in Skirmishing.

I like those changes, it would also tie into beastmastery and the traited sun spirit.

Trap issues

Traps are widely used utilities for rangers but there are just some that are better than others which bothers me.

Flame Trap: Is generally fine and widely used, kind of blunt function but decent.

Vipers Nest: Longer CD and shorter duration than Flame Trap, applies more stacks per ticks but ticks less times, sadly. Id rather had shorter cd and a longer field with more ticks, but the ticks only apply 1 stack of poison instead of 3. Maybe 6 ticks for 6s and 18s cd.

Spike trap: Good CC, good Condi, good synergy with AS. Long but justified CD

FROST TRAP: Most unused trap, does power dmg and pulses chill, but has less dmg potential than spike trap, cc is by far not that good and the combofield can mainly used defensive.
For frost trap i would ad a stunbreak and a small pull in the center of the trap. This way the chill has chance to apply some stacks.

Healing spring:
Give it vigor. Remove the walk in walk out mechanic and make it as it was before. You lay it down and if a damaged ally was in the radius it triggers.

Trait: Remove the cripple, we have a ton eitherway. Make it similar to the DH trait that you lay down a trap when stunned. This trap would be frost trap.
Cd reduction as usual.

Visuals: Like the healing spring ring i would like to see which trap is which. Flame ring, frost ring and snaky/poison ring would be enough.

Opinions are welcome.

If you have another class that has a trait that would give a group 10% dmg it wouldnt be a GotL ripoff it would just be a dmg buff trait.Of course it would have some inpact and would rival GotL but it will not lead to the downfall of druids because of this. Basically if the tablet would shorten the CD on skills similar like Alacrity would do it but it wouldnt have the same name and effect it would have the same function.
It it still bound to an altruistic trait and changes the usefullness of ventari, but chronos still have better alacrity uptime and ventari tablet revs are now basically the backup of chronos in raids.

Although, independent of what I as a Chronomancer main might or might not think about Alacrity on the tablet, it’s just a bad fit for the Rev. Extra effect? Cool! Alacrity specifically? Utter rubbish in 3 seconds and on a class which has ~0 personal benefit from it.

Id rather would have some seconds of block for allies. This could have awesome impact especcially in the new raid.
It would bring ventari to a very strong bunker position. Sadly there would be some icd involved with this to restricts its OPness.

What Ventari is missing

Couple key changes that would instantly help Ventari:

1. Radius on skills increased from 240 to 300.

2. A visible outline/other indicator of Tablet’s position visible only to Revenant. Sometimes you can just lose sight of your Tablet in teamfight if it’s cluttered/crowded enough.

3. Making Tablet more visible for allies:

  • Green outline that shows Tablet’s effective radius. Currently there is nothing and that’s a big part of the reason why you have to chase allies with Ventari and they never stick around it. They simply can’t see it.
  • A split second before moving Tablet with Ventari’s Will, draw a green line of ordered Tablet’s path that is visible to allies.
  • When about to cast one of Tablet’s skills such as Natural Harmony/Purifying Essence/Elite, briefly flash/highlight the mentioned green outlier or whole radius circle so allies can easily notice incoming beneficial support.

4. Adding Stun Break to one of the skills. Elite or Purifying Essence for example.

5. Changing Protective Solace into more universal defensive skill. Almost half a minute of projectile block is really not fun for either side. Possibly reduce the prolonged projectile hate, but make this skill give some defense to Revenant when activated.
Not having amazing self-sustain is definitely the good direction for supports who quickly transform into bunkers. But currently it’s a bit too easy to shut down a Ventari. And if there are no projectiles to block in fight, Protective Solace is 100% useless – can’t swap it for other skill either.

That would be it for quicker set of fixes.

I agree on several points of this one.
Add stunbreak on puryfing essence.
Increase radius.
When outside combat the tablet follows you (just small QoL)
Personally i would change the elite.
->make a upkeep skill, activation of the elite pushes enemies out of the area and roots enemies (on activate) double its radius(to 600 , this would be upkeep).
The projectile reflect should give some protection and weakness to enemies in the area.

Jalis and traits would need improvements still but it would make ventari great, also for soloing.

Pet DPS Tests

Anet adress this stuff!!!
Condis should stay on pet swap and boons should too.
Give us a boon template.
Fix porcine forage skill.
Give spider the poisonfield as the active and the individual as a passive.
Give us useful/reasonable precision scaling for pets.
Give us reasonable CD on petskills and reduce the CD if a Pet died (30s would be punishing enough).

Bump on this DPS test.
Anet should see this and gives us our QoL we are craving for since 2012.

As i have perceived it after the buff.
PvP yes, if you are skilled playing rev, specially bunker after buffs.
PvE as support yes otherwise not really IMHO.
Its still buggy and not very user friendly with double restrictions with cd and energy.

The idea of the wisp are old but still the best suggestions still.
The effects on the other hand are pretty OP (on the defensive site) , every 5s a block for the ranger sounds kinda over the top dmg mitigation.
The rotation mechanics would bring a positioning aspect into the game that could make group content more difficult.

My suggestion since 2015:
Give all spirits a blunt buff like frost spirit has. Keep it simple.
Activations are ground targeted, old animations (with bigger oakhearts for better visbility in pvp).
Spirits are attached to the ranger (as wisps) and buff up to 5 allies besides pet and ranger.
Frost keeps its effect.
Sun gets 10% more condi dmg.
Water pulses heals and improves 10% incoming healing.
Stone decreases incoming dmg by 10%
Storm increases outgoing crit dmg 10%/ or crit chance increase
Nature decreases incoming condi duration for 15% and increases boon duration for 15%

Spirits are active for a duration.

Trait: Spirits activate on rangers position when duration ends.
Keep boon pulses the same. Cd reduction same as before.

No seraph Caladbolg?

I am currently working on getting full seraph gear. I had a blast doing the caladbolg quest and i was excited for an ascended weapon with desired stats.
But sadly there are no seraphic stats to chose from.
Is this an oversight or just on purpose?
I know i can change the stats via mystic forge but i wanna finish the achievemnt of finding all of them which means i transmute it back and forth via magic to get caladbolg origin.

Hopefully we get a coherent condition build in the near future. As much as I am enjoying condition DPS ranger in PvE, it is simply not possible in PvP. The traits simply do not work well with utilities, and the utilities themselves have no utility. Talking mainly about traps here.

It is very possible. Trapper druid with sage amulet and trapper rune works, and it doesn’t have any need for bleed on crits. I swapped between that one, the standard metabattle one and a remorseless build the entire season, depending on the other team, in diamond and legendary. Unblockable traps traited and with the benefits from the trapper rune is pretty strong against certain builds.

The crit based condi build however, that one took quite the hit when they nerfed the healing on druid. It’s squishy.

The biggest problem with skirmishing isn’t the condi traits. It’s Light on Your Feet, Most Dangerous Game and Strider’s Defense. They’re all lackluster and competing with better options regardless of build.

Remove cd on utilities and remove energy cost of weaponskills.
Tweak it after that.
Dmg from weaponskills replenish energy.
Give all legends a stunbreak.
Rework and retweak traits, add flavor like they did with the new alacrity trait.
The herold mechanic should have different influences depending on legend.
Make jalis taunt AoE and give it a block based on duration.
Give shiro better life steal capabbilities.
Give Mallyx a condi cleanse/condi consume.

This isnt a major rework like above but rather concentrate on improving the class as it is and bring some things back to beta standards.

Does the ventari overshadow the Druid?

I doubt so. Druid has more group utility with spirits glyphs and GotL. Because GotL now effects 10 people it actually buffs raid utility.
The alacrity that ventari provides makes it more interesting than just plain healing.
I personally would rather had increased the radius of the skills and would had added AoE block buff or something like that to the trait, but this is off topic.
Ventari is now a chrono backup basically.
Druid have a more potent condi build still and provide more combofields that rev does.

My biggest gripe is that it conflicts with trappers expertise. Those should complement each other not be either/or.

How about hidden barbs merged with trappers expertise?

How about change sharpening edges? You activate sharpening stone when you hit an enemy under 50% life. Would go very well in the wilderness survival line thou instead of skirmishing.

Alacrity was a elite spec exclusive effect, just like GotL, and it was given away to a core rev spec. It wasn’t like stealth or invuln because it was designed with chrono and only chrono in mind.

And going off of your argument, banners and spotter/Assassins presence/etc etc should all be shared as well because they are just buffs that “are not bound to a class”.

Basically all of the arguments I’ve seen for sharing alacrity are bad arguments, because they would also necessitate sharing banners and other unique effects around. The only argument that is a good one is that alacrity was too powerful to be kept as a chrono exclusive. But then again, the same argument can still be made for GotL since its still a 10% group DPS boost.

Welcome to every other “exclusive” ability in the game.

Every other exclusive effect is still exclusive though, your comment doesn’t make sense. Warrior banners are exclusive. Ranger’s spotter, spirits and gotl is still exclusive. Engi got a new exclusive effect. Rev has assassin’s presence. Thief gets partywide unblockable attacks via basiliks venom. etc etc

Alacrity is nothing else than a buff like stealth, invulnerability, blurr etc.
These buffs are not bound to a class and rev has to use heal ventari for alacrity and take a trait that is totally altruistic. Its only useful in group gameplay and chronos can get use of alacrity for selfish purposes and has better access to it.
The only problem with alacrity in rev is that it doesnt fit the class in visuals and theme.

They totally need to make this Adept major trait a minor one. There is no reason not to as it is a 33% down from 66% now.

Agree, maybe they could merge the swiftness and fury on weaponswap (i hope i have the right traitline in mind).
On the spot of the trait they could make a new one that benefits from evading attacks. Something like you get one stack of might everytime you evade an attack (1s ICD).

And if i may make a suggestion for other traits in this topic: Hidden barbs could use some versatility. E.g. You gain stealth when stunned, after gaining stealth your next attack in the next 5s does 3 stacks of bleeding. The old effect could be added to sharpening edges.

What’s wrong with 100% alacrity uptime on a ventari rev? You lose tons of damage using it, so instead you will turn in a healer like a druid, but instead of GotL you have alacrity. I can’t see any problem with it really, instead of 2 chrono and 2 druids, you can remove 1 chrono and 1 druid and instead take a ventari rev. Opens up a spot for another class.

The interesting clue about this trait is that it doesnt even closely benefits playing solo.
Because revs dont really need alacrity, which basically means it is perfect for support and very useful for group play.

I thought the should remove the destruction of the tablet on the elite.
It would be nice if the elite would be a toggle skill (low energy cost, no uptime).
The tablet would take root and cannot be moved but the AoE effect doubles and pushes away all enemies. If you activate the heal skill it will not be ground targeted but it heals in the area and applies all buffs in conjunction with it.

Ventari would be very strong for group support and positioning would still be important.
And the alacrity could pulse even further and have even more use.

For PvE it would be more advantous to min-max in power or condi

I could go crest of soldier to help max Power (120 more) but Bloodlust is 2X better and I lose the -20% on weapon swap time. 8 sec. swap 9 sec. cooldown on swap 3 crit hits garuanteed. every 9 seconds 3 crits 156% normal.


Try if possible to make good use of boons (virtue specialization)

Virtue is a good choice and after last night my dragonhunter bow is in the bank. Really! If I want to play ranged I would play my ranger but he exists solely for gathering. That means my engineer which I love or my necro. Sylvari necro with the Profane armor skin. I love watching her running around. She`s got the cutest butt! (I`m old not dead) I digress! So… I have to weigh the choice of honor`s larger longer symbols that heal all vrs virtue`s benefits. Overall virtue would be better but who doesn`t want aegis, protection and regen when they`ve just been rezzed. This rez ability has 2 parts. The 2nd being Pact Commander`s
Noblesse Oblige – Learn to revive your allies faster and with less penalties.
So… Honor it is! After all the char is a Norn. And honor to a Norn… well!

Viper`s on a guardian!? I would make a thief and really go for spike damage. And run like hell when I grabbed aggro! I run my guardian into the middle of a group and have at it. I should look more for the elite hiding there but hey! Just makes it exciting!

It seems that people think I trying to make a hybrid or something. I`m not! I am coming from a different mindset. Sustained damage or maybe better stated continuous damage.

I`m not waiting for weapon skill recharge.
I don`t have crit chance I have crit garauntee.
I am continuously burning.
Even if I am not hitting whatever Zealot`s Flame hits nearby foes.
My continuous burn doesn`t compromise physical damage potential. (There is only one trait to directly increase damage and that`s greatsword in the bank)

Here you go, keep in mind this build is only effektive with one handed weapons (crit chance from trait, its not displayed on the template) it has very high crit dmg and good crit chance with the traits and the runes(good fury uptime, fury gives 20% more crit chance). Your armor is very high and you have the signet for stunbreak and dmg reduction. One trap is for stab, aegis and stunbreak (ou also have a trait that activates this trap). The other trap for AoE dmg.
Rotation is simple:
Blink in with sword
Sword #3
Whirling Wrath trap
Shield#4
If neccessary shield #5 to get some air.
Weaponswap
Mace #2 right after focus #5 (gives area retal) and blocks
Focus #4 if needed for blinding and regen.
After that you can do dmg via auto and bunker with mace #3 and virtue.
Weaponswap and repeat.
If you take high dmg heal up with shelter and get out of misery with virtue (you are tough but you do not have high vitality)
The aegis trap is very useful to get you out of trouble.

And for your min-maxing
If you wanna concentrate on one dmg type use runes and trinkets that give you that dmg type (power precision and ferocity for power dmg for example)
As you have seen on my build i used a trait to convert % of toughness into ferocity <- these traits can make very interesting builds with decent dmg and good survability.
Food and buffs from sharpening stones are also very good (on my build here it is ferocious sharpening stone, converts again toughness into ferocity)
Min-maxing does not mean forget about the survability if you dont like to be squishy, just focus on one dmg type and dont go full tank unless you are a pvp bunker, because you cannot kill something with nothing.

Last but not least, play as you like to play in PvE (except the hardcore stuff ^^’)

Idk why they even bothered buffing this abomination without reworking anything. It’s literally a pile of kitten. Especially since immob is a joke right now because powercreep. They are slowly buffing the survival skills since 2015, but we won’t see them become meta unless they do something about the garbage troll heal.

Troll inguent has actually some use because its generating very fast AF, muddy terrain has not.
For troll inguent some protection and regen would be sweet, this would tie into nature magic and wilderness survival traitlines and thus make you tankier while the HoT is ticking. Or resistance, but this could be kitten broken.

Buddy give vipers gear a shot.
It does what you’re trying, both white and condi damage. And, it’s available as you play Hot content. It’s squishy, but if you just add one piece at a time, you’ll find a happy balance for you. You may even find the game gets easier as you add more damage potential, dead opponents do far less damage.

I thought vipers gear is expansion only and he didnt mentioned if he has it or not yet.
If so yes vipers gear is very good hybrid gear, if not sinister is worth a shot.

Brought up several times i know.
I have no problem with the effect of the skill but there are better skills to put on its place.
But if muddy terain would have a leap to it like stomp of the warrior has, i would use it just for the gap close. Maybe in addition some short pull in the center of the impact. The rest of the skill could be the same as it is.
This way it could provide cc AND mobility.

I have mixed feelings about getting an axe as a mesmer. On one hand it sounds really cool and I’m excited to think about what skills it will have. On the other hand, it means that we could be stuck with only 3 new weapon skills from axe unless ANet gives us dual wield axes for the next elite spec.

Hoping for cleaving condi weapon. Some AoE dmg would be neat too.

From the traits it looks like you are more condi build from the stats you are definetly power which makes this rather strange for PvE, because Hybrid underperform pure Condi and Powerbuilds.
Whats your goal with this build and which game mode are you playing with it?

I don`t view this as a condition build with condition damage only 635. I went with Dire sword and torch to buff it up a little. Other than sword & torch everything is soldier`s. Because burning is an intrical part built into the guardian I constructed the build to take advantage of that fact. A correction to my original post.. Rune of intelligence is sigil of intelligence.

I don`t consider this a power build as much as a ‘sustained’ damage build. I`ve experienced how a con build falls flat when I get the ‘immune’ message and how the `spite` build is diminished by a good block so… This is the most damaging build I have been able to construct. It under performs nothing! For 2hand to try to come close I have scepter symbol swap 2hand symbol and give it a spin.

Health 22,385 Armor 3020 Power 2149 Tough 1809 Vitality 2074

Crit chance 4% Crit Damage 156% Con damage 635

Slot 1 sword & torch Slot 2 shield (I do carry a scepter to equip with the shield for range work)

Condition damage is buffed by Amplified Wrath and sigil of bloodlust (Zeal – Kindled Zeal). When I have 25 stacks of power breathing flames is real nice! Signet of Wrath also buffs con damage and gives me one of my two 1200 range attacks.

Pathetic Crit chance but Sigil of Intelligence garauntees 3 crits. Crits proc zealot`s flame (Radiance – Radiant Fire).

I try to keep aegis up as much as possible for retaliation and to proc Amplified Wrath. The shout Retreat gives me an addtional aegis proc and the swiftness comes in real handy.

So… Not a condition build at all but with traits I really take advantage of it without compromising physical damage. And everyone knows how devastating con damage can be so the 3rd util is Contemplation of Purity – turn conditions into boons ALL conditions

How do I play it… Start with sword/shield. Shield wave and if close shield repel. swap for crits. Burn self, throw torch, teleport, and let sword 1 work. Rinse and repeat.

PVE for me! I`m retired (ya, that old). I haven`t seen a game yet that gives melee it`s just dues. Couple that with being inundated with ‘special effects’ well. My Asura gets lost easily! Funny too (not really) because the cure is simple. In Options a checkbox that says something like Melee Turn. Check the box and if you are melee you turn (turn toward not chase after) in the direction of your target. I see melees doing it all the time! I do it! Looking for your target. In options I had to assign reverse direction to my F key. Ranged has a distinct advantage not looking for a target. Good for them! I too have a hunter, engineer, & necro.

PvP – Use to. Alot! At this stage of my life I enjoy a good story much more and Guild Wars really shines! Well done ANet! Well done indeed!

Hmmm… Did I answer your question!? Well you know what they say goes first when you get old. But I won`t tell you the truth.

For PvE it would be more advantous to min-max in power or condi respectively if you wanna go on most dmg potential. For PvP pressure in condi and power can come in handy. Very important for all builds is looking for stunbreaks and condi cleanses to provide survability. Try if possible to make good use of boons (virtue specialization) to buff you up if needed.
Btw do you have the expansion or just the basegame? If so you can make also use of DH for more area dmg and fancy virtue enhancements
For story versatility is always good and leeds to more enjoyable play, but when you play more difficult content look forward to specialize in one dmg type.
For condi -> precision and condi dmg
For power-> power, precision and ferocity(crit dmg)

If your interested i have a really tanky permablock build with some decent crit chance(together with fury about 60%) and fantastic crit dmg.

And dont worry about the age, my guild leader is over 60 and she does better than i do ^^

There are several traits for different professions that provide 1% more dmg per boon on you but does not list specifically condition dmg like grace of the land would provide.
Is it possible to give us this 1% more condi dmg per boon? It would improve some supportish condi builds and would provide some intensive for boon duration.

@OGDeadHead: The active is enough flavor, though, I’m tired of Anet trying to add “flavor” and mucking it up to the point I’d rather things be simple and efficient.

Also, I’d assume Water Spirit would be a 10% more outgoing healing modifier if they ever took Spirits in that direction.

I edited my post now with Water and Elite included and i add a comment on the trait.

Yes i would say this is enough flavor. Banners for example are only used for the buffs, rarely i have seen anyone who takes the banner with it and use the skills except the blast on #5. So spirits would have a good buffing spot like banners have and an activtion skill for some AoE and its own mechanic for its own flavor.

Trading Bleeds

While I am happy to see Sharpening Stone receive another much deserved buff, I am very dissapointed to see sharpened edges receive a 50% nerf. I believe that Sharpened Edges as a trait encouraged condition druids to push for more precision in order to maximize damage instead of bunkering down with vitality and toughness. With this nerf, the value of running precision over vitality is harder to justify. I’d like to test the changes when I get home, but I feel like this change may be more negative than positive and result in a loss of damage for high precision builds in practice.

In conjunction with sharpening stone with corresponding trait it doesnt feel like a huge drawback as far as i testet it. I am not fully seraph right now but there is precision and condi major and it feels very useful together with SS and traps and AS.

Spirit mechanics

There is an ICD. It is called “effect recharge” in the tooltip. 10s for storm and stone spirit, 8s for the sun spirit. Frost spirit doesn’t have an ICD.

I hope they will remove this double dip regulation. It makes spirit support kind of unpredictable. They should either count on percentage chance or just an effect that will be appplied to 5 players after the icd.

Actually just a pure stat improvement for every spirit would be nice.
Frost 10% more dmg
Sun 10% more condi dmg
Earth 10% less dmg taken
Storm 10% more crit dmg
Water 10% more outgoing Healing (Including Healing on itself)
Nature 10% less Condition Duration and 10% more boon Duartion

Remove icd and anything that is related to chance and make the spirit activations ground targeted. Spirits would be fixed for eternity

Edit: I also add Heal and Elite Spirit. Nature Spirit has two effects because it should be a bit stronger.

For the Trait i would keep the boon application (but swap swiftness with fury on Storm) and would add activation on death.

Pet fixes wanted for next update

Disclaimer: I am not english native speaker.

As mentioned the balance update team will look into the forums after the patch is released to get an idea what could be improved for the next update.

I play Gw2 since launch, since launch i have a ranger main and since launch the pet has felt wonky and buggy.
There have been some fixes in the past, but a lot of rangers would like some further improvements on the pet mechanic and some step away from passive mechanic to a more active one.

Proposed changes:

-Give the F1 abbility something like the old guard was. Ground targeted skill pet command. the pet will move to that area and will defend it. Effect ends if the ranger moves to far away from pet.

-F2 should be the dedicated pet skill as we know it know, but with some improvements.
Pet activation skills should be instant without wind up time (issues with canine and drakes atm for example).

-Improve pet targeting

-The Forage skill of the porcine pets should work similar to steal of the thief. After activation the forage skill is replaced by the foraged item and can be used in combat from the ranger.

-The spider specific abbility should work on passive and not on active skill, instead give us the poison cloud on activation which will give us more utility.

-Give us a possibility to give pets some kind of customization like an amulet and sigils. These could work like normal sigils just depending on pet action and not on ranger action(->weaponswap runes on pet swap, interrupt rune procts if pet interupts etc.).

F3 should be a free pet skill spot where we could put one of the other two pet skills in for better control and customization.

The stow and the mode button (aggressive and peaceful) should get the possibility to key bind on the options menu.

I tried to make clear that a lot of these changes are centered arround customization and utility/QoL. I dont want stronger pets just want to make them more versatile and useful.

Blurred Frenzy: Increased cooldown to 15seconds, no longer an evade. Changed to pulsing aegis once at start and each second thereafter.

Hope they would improve on some traits that are not as good as their competitors e.g. Ineptitude was a very strong trait but they nerf it very hard because they gave it a icd based on the confusion you apply.
Additionally they should improve the well of precognition to something like a blocking area, everything inside the well gets block for some seconds (even after leaving) this can be counter played by unblockable skills and has some places in raids now.

Rune Effect-ICD balance

I was fiddling arround some builds of mine and notice that several runes have HUGE icd without any reasoning.
Especcially rata sum and grove runes.

Grove runes have a wopping 90s cd on one root. -> ancient seeds from druid has 10s . It would be nice to give this rune a cd reduction it would be in good use for condi druids.

Rata Sum runes also have this huge 90s cd for a 15s radiation field. Even the normal skill itself has a smaller cd of 60s which is still to high. Something about 30s would be nice and could give some new opportunities for poison builds.

If someone has some other runes as subject to change please join.
I would also apprecciate some other viewpoints and opinions.

I dont know if you have played a lot of ranger but please add: Improving vanilla pets skills, in general remove/reduce casttimes of pet skills for better targeting, give rangers an option to tweak pet stats without traits (e.g something like an amulet or point distributing).
Give spider the poison cloud as active skill and the individual skill is passive.

Give porcine something like a steal mechanic because the current forage mechanic is horrible and can used against the ranger in pvp.

Moas should get inprovements to be better buff pets.

Give the fernhound either better healing power or change the regeneration to entangle enemies and applying bleed.

Improve devourer to a bristleback level of range dps and give them a ranged knockback and not a melee one.

If some fellow ranger has something to add just quote it.

I don’t get why there need to be CDs anyhow. “It works for thieves”.

It rather have only cd for weaponskills and energy cost fur utility, elite and heal.
The weaponskills could generate energy with doing dmg.

Grasping shadows could be something like a projectile, throw it hit and animation stays the same(just fix the bug and add evade frame).

Still proposing this: Remove energy costs on weaponskills, keep cd. Weaponskills are weaponskills like every other class has (except thief)
Remove CD on utilities. Utilities and elite/heal only cost energy.
Weaponskills do replenish energy when being used.
Now you can use weaponskills for energy restoration and utilities use it.
With this back and forth we would have some purpose in energy.

Sword skills need some improvements

Shackling wave could be a knockdown which would give good CC. I would swap sword #2 with sword #5. This way you could hit an enemy and kite them back to nuke them with #3. Increase the range on grasping shadows, maybe you throw the sword on mid range and pull the enemy back after succesful hit.
On precision strike i would actually put a taunt and weakness so it could be used as a tank weapon.

I am the only one arround here that wants a greatsword as a ranged condi weapon for rev?
Its an iconic weapon for soldier classes, with condi ranged it would find a use it didnt had before would go well with Asgeir Dragonrender, trahearne or Riannoc ir even tge pale tree if she dies.
