www.strikeforceguild.com – JQ SINCE 1836!
Guild of United Soviet Quarry www.jadequarry.com
I hope you guys had as much fun as we did last night. I thought it was a great idea to poke the Hornets of Doom! Poking your guys’ nest with a stick was extremely fun last night. Let’s do it again, I had a ton of fun with the fights.
Edited guild size and yes, we are still recruiting
So that this topic doesn’t go astray, I was not implying that any servers are teaming, I was stating that it is logical in instances to have a non-pacted cease fire because it is strategically sound at those opportune moments.
Judas, you should hit me up brah. I’ll give you the inner workings on how the other team leads work on our server. Typically every map we step on to as a team we have coordinated in under an hour and under control…typically not all the time.. I think you’ve seen first hand what happens when I touch a map
So, to end any speculation for those of you questioning what place we are fighting for as SBI, it is first. We have been fighting for first since day one. We’re also not a server that really is willing to partner up with another server as well, there’s a lot of politics involved with that, that most of us aren’t willing to touch. I’m sure a lot of you have noticed these two points and those that state otherwise are probably just trying to troll the easily trollable from our server. That’s fine, it’s a pretty good strat to get people all riled up.
This past weekend our squads have struggled quite a bit and I’ll tell you what even I personally have seen. No swords between JQ and HoD. Now, the average SBI member would say, they are teaming us! Actually, no, it’s a valid tactic. If JQ is not attacking HoD and just holding their own, HoD will not attack them. Why would HoD advance further and spread themselves thin? Instead, what you see on the map is a rotation of JQ and HoD teams in constant attack for what I would say in this case is “free points.” Since the two servers don’t have any true advances going between them most of the time, they focus fire a target that is already forced to redirect forces to deal with the other server.
This leads to our team having to do a constant battle on two fronts, or in some cases one supply camp that is consistently zerged by both sides, as it should be, we are a threat just like all the other servers are a threat when you back someone in a corner. Better yet, if our teams are unchecked, I think we’ve proven that we will definitely take advantage of a comfortable situation and run rampant on the number 1 the best we can.
If people say that we are battling for 2nd? I highly doubt that, we are currently battling to stay alive and I can prove that to you in two examples alone. Last night on EB where my team was stationed with quite a few other teams, the teams managed to regain about half of EB. About two nights ago, my team was stationed on the HoD BL. I was able to partner up with some of our buddies in WM and we were able to solidify our 1/3 of the BL. It didn’t matter who owned what that was in our path, it was a matter of gaining realty.
Not to mention, we really do want first, I’m the first one to say that 2nd place is the first loser and we obviously want our fair timeshare in the limelight as the numero uno server. Followed by, “you don’t want to be a loser do you?” Which is responded by, “why do you have to be a d#@! Fine, let’s keep pushing!” We are not looking to just sit in a top tier bracket just to be there. We have been in the trenches fighting HoD non-stop consistently for going on 3 weeks now. The only way to take 1st is to minimize the 1st places points right? That’s what our server goal has been for a while.
So, I have not seen anyone communicate to our team leads on our server that we are fighting for second. A lot of our teams have been learning a lot from this past weekend and will continue to learn. Thanks for giving us a hell of a fight and making us work for every piece of land we own, it adds more pride to our guys when we finally do crack a granite shell. All of this fighting has really solidified a lot of our team structure and I believe everything that has happened with us has only made us stronger. Keep up the fight on all three sides and try to wreck every person in your paths, I know that’s how our teams are. So, even if we do get bumped out this week, don’t think we won’t be relentless and still shoot for first, we’ll only come back twice as hard.
Well played so far ladies and gentlemen. Keep it classy San Diego!
I would like to state that yes, a lot of morale was broken on the SBI frontline. There were a lot of players who got their hopes up with a driving force that we had in scores. A lot of us already had a realization of what was going to happen. It is only human nature that people would take their butthurt feelings and go do something else for a minute. I know that’s what I personally did
A lot of people assume that we are broken…
In general, there is a rather large population of us at SBI that are hardcore PvP players, though we may have gotten temporarily discouraged, we have devised some theorycrafting on how to work on the coverage issue. A lot of us see this as not a problem with the game itself, but a way to balance out the timezone differentiation. After all, this is WORLD vs WORLD competition right? Hopefully we can balance out our servers before it kills the population that caps during primetime only to see it all lost over night due to lack of people in game. The 24/7 fight is what Anet had intended, so we will try to play the game as such the best we can.
So, we can accept the fact now after what we knew what was going to happen to us happen, and move on as a team. We have not lost any guilds to another server, sure some morale was hurt, but you’ll all see what’s up soon
Our apologies from the teams who needed to take a step back and let the shock value wear off of something we knew was going to happen, I think seeing that it happened over 1 night was amazing and really drained those who put in a lot of time to hold that lead during the weekend.
None of this has stopped our motivational drive on taking it to HoD and whatever 3rd team is on the field with us, we want 1st place, plain and simple. We’ll get there eventually, patience is a virture right?
Thank you for reading, and for any of those EU and oceanic guilds out there that want to join in, we offer a pretty staunch team during prime time and can continue to hold what we have during American primetime hours. We look forward to working with anyone else that would like to earn 1st
Good day ladies and gentlemen,

We are working at building our EU coverage as well, one of our three guild managers is an EU player as well, the more I can assist with his schedule, the more we can get an EU presence from our team.
Thank you for your consideration,
Our website: www.strikeforceguild.com
Bump, still recruitin’
and welcome to those who have recently joined. We are open to giving our oceanic and EU players some company, feel free to check us out. We like to be a round the clock team.
I look forward to the next two days
I’d just like to point out something I myself and a few others have noticed this whole weekend of hardcore WvW for the majority of us. I have not seen a single player that was in a downed state get teabagged. I know it sounds funny, but I think people can tell the sportsmanship that’s being tossed every which way.
Thanks for not being d’bags guys
Note: Although, if I see one of my own guildies dead, I may not be so classy before I rez them >:D
I’d like to point out that a lot of what we have been doing on the SB BL, we kinda picked up from HoD then added our own flavor to the mix. That last week of gameplay was intense and assisted in growing a lot of our team leads. I believe a lot more thought process is going in to certain moves these days than saying, “Hey guys, I think we got this! Let’s do this plan C over here!” Then everyone follows. Instead, “Hey, should we do this?” Response, “you’re going to get half our server killed on the map, please don’t.” Response, “ahh, I see your logic, good call.”
Oh, and to the note of an alliance with ET. I don’t believe any of the team leads on the SB BL are aware of this at least..that’d be news to me…
Cheers Talesslaser, you’re pretty much on point. Although we have our bad apples in the mix of leadership, you always have at least one right? Yet, I’d have to second the notion that our team leads are pretty laid back for the most part, and if you do pay attention to map chat you’d see in some cases, the whole map gets polled on what our next move should be to weigh options so that the community has input.
In any case, I’d just recommend anyone else from SBI to not respond to that guys one part of this post, Rodarin was trying to focus on numbers, so let’s keep it to his topic, it’s pretty intriguing looking at it from a mathematical perspective.
I have been PM’ed a few times, yes we are still recruiting.
I’d also like to point out that if we were HoD’s lapdogs, we wouldn’t have seiged them last night for 3 hours to take their orb from our homelands and hold them keepless for quite the few hours. We actually let ET pound on them from the rear to soften them up a bit to accomplish our goal, sorry ET we had to take your keep, HoD apparently took our other one and evicted us >:/
We lost garrison! ::starts to make phone calls:: We’ll be in, in a couple hours
Btw, ET holds their own in fights at least from what I’ve noticed on the SB borderlands >;x
Nubz, you guys fended us off for a whole freakin’ 3 hours on to take those hills!!!! kittenyou guys go to sleep first! >:P
We shall see as the week goes on, as the song goes, “It’s only just begun.” By the way 3 hour long sieges take a lot out of you >;x

GM Contacts: Jedbacca, Hoschi, or Romburns
Server: Stormbluff Isle
Guild size: 40-50 ~20 active in rotation on a daily basis at different times, inactive members are active roughly 1-2 days a week typically on weekends due to personal obligations during the week
Age range: 21-50 with the majority late 20’s early 30’s
Recruitment: We are looking to field more in Strike Force primarily for WvW. Currently we occupy the majority of the guilds time in WvW. We work together for team improvement, not just individual improvement. We are a tight nit group and are willing to accept new members, we have not had open recruitment in a few years and are looking to build upon our stable base.
History: Our gaming community has existed for over 15 years now, yeah I know, some of us are getting’ old. We originated in a game called Magestorm, for those of you who are familiar with Mythic gaming, this was one of their original FPS games. We have since moved on to a plethora of games to even make the top 20 in GvG rankings during the first BWE on GW1. Since then we have been pretty low key and are looking to get everything squared up again, rank and file.
What we offer: A stable environment to grow in a guild. Since we have been a team for so long, we are pretty patient even with non-veteran players to games and are willing to cater to the needs of newer members of the community. We utilize voice communication as our primary communication tool. We have our own website, forums, and voice chat. The majority of us are setting in our careers and treat things business minded to make things easier for everyone.
Requirements: All in all, negativity is not welcome, capable of handling adult humor, generally 18+ and be adaptable to change on the fly in mid game situations.

I use JQQ as endearment rather than mock, mostly because it’s catchy. Good natured teasing should be okay, it’s a game, don’t make like a bloodfeud out of it. Not cool.
I prefer not to be misread, but I can chuckle whenever I read it
I second that notion
Well, regardless are of the opinions I’ve seen form in a thread I created to return thanks publicly, all in all it was a good time. I personally have yet to refer to JQ as JQQ, I won’t let the opinion of very few out of 1000+ players, although it is catchy.
As one of the strat callers for my server a note to JQ. Trust me, when we call a tactic, we always have you in mind and plan accordingly. You guys are recognized as a force to be reckoned with at times. I can tell your server most definitely has skillful players. Don’t think that we underestimate what you can accomplish, because if gone unchecked, I’ve seen you assist in handing out free visits to the proctologist to many of my team mates. Trust me, they would rather you keep the free coupons for yourselves for when we give the same favors. I’ll be interested to see how our competition in the future fairs. It’s been dynamic working against your squad as well. I know we learned some things from you guys too. Thanks for keeping the gameplay dynamic and competitive.
A note to HoD, see you next round, I don’t feel like losing another one. We are rallying up our troops and going for the jugular. We’ve learned a lot and are developing our own playstyles and countermeasures. Let’s throw down on the map like Bobby Flay and have some fun again!
I would like to add an example of match play from last night. On the SBI home map by the end of the night from HoD hitting one side and JQ hitting the other, we pretty much had absolutely nothing on the map, everything was owned by JQ or HoD, this includes supply camps, we were literally wiped off of the map by both servers by the end of the night, left to start from scratch all over again. I’d also like to point out JQ was consistently on our garrison trying to breach the gate, which they did once, then they pulled off as henge were beating on the other gate. Yet, you don’t hear us speculating that HoD and JQ are working together, it was a smart tactical move by both teams to pound the team that was getting crippled. This will happen quite frequently as time goes on, it’s the nature of the beast and something that we have to live with if we cannot properly run countermeasures as servers. In short, it’s part of the game, we have to live with this. I know I did last night when I was crying listening to my favorite Justin Beiber/Allanis Morrisete Pandora station at the gym after getting my anal cavity scoped by both servers.
I think the idea is to mimick the feel at minimum.
Please take this in to perspective, if you are in a real wartime situation let’s say… Are you given all the tools you need in order to form your own group of soldiers to fight?
I feel as though the less we are given, the more we are made to work on our communication with other people, and work tactics. If you are looking to really get in to things, you end up figuring ways of communicating to accomplish your end goal. My recommendation is to contact those around you to see if you can form your own squads and organization within your community.
Good luck!
Ladies and gentlemen, I’m one of the team leads on SBI, my guild is Strike Force, and I would like to publicly acknowledge the sportsmanship that HoD has displayed toward us as SBI within this past week. I won’t say that it has been a cakewalk by any means to deal with the force that HoD brings to the table, not to mention JQ’s recent tactics that have improved, which at times can prove difficult to deal with two powerhouses at the same time. Posts are trickling in copy/paste form from a couple members of ours from other forums across the board and even posted directly to our community forum. These posts are stating the appreciation of level of game play we bring to the table. I know that we are a ways away from our “A” game, there’s always room for improvement. Yet, to hear props coming from the team you are primarily focusing due to the skill overall has seriously upped our game to a whole new level. I can only see improvement from here on out.
Thank you for making us a better server, slowly but surely we will throw down like Bobby Flay and dethrone you, not a threat, a promise ?. I would also like to express my thanks to those players on the other side of the wall for the professional manner in which we go about dictating our “war” against each other. Rather than to cry about what’s happening it feels like the teams are looking to improve and learn from what worked and what didn’t work then move on. This is probably the first time I have truly, truly seen this in any video game I have ever played personally. Trust me, you guys over at HoD have your fair share of respect from the SBI players as well. I can’t count the times that I am repelled from taking points because of a random HoD zerg is about to, without spilling everyone’s tactics here, raid on one of our locations.
I can appreciate the tactics implemented against us, we have been able to filter that to everyone the best we can and brainstorm how to tear you guys apart the next time you do it. Keep the new tactics comin’ we’ll bring our bag of tricks to the table the best we can as time goes on to crush your hopes and dreams as you do to me when I test out treb spots on your keeps….if I asked nicely..would you remove your mortars? I just want to take a peek inside I swear…
Good games so far ladies and gentlemen, let’s finish out the first full week with some blood, sweat, and tears of baby kittens.
I am one of the team leads from SBI, I’d just like to have a couple things pointed out.
-As SBI, we refuse to ally up with any other server, there’s something about ego’s in there somewhere, and something about being able to do it yourself
-SBI is not always on JQ’s keeps, we only attack something that will get us points, trust me a lot of hitting JQ is only because it’s easy points for the most part due to lack of defenses. Usually only small number like 20 are donated to work on JQ items
-SBI recognizes the skill level of defense that HoD poses against us, and they are a constant threat, especially when they are in their organized zerg formation. Trust me, we are trying to decrypt the encoded message that is HoD. It’s been a hell of a lot of fun trying to run strat against the HoD keeps especially when a random zerg that was balled up behind a door just pop out, that’s pretty cute, thanks HoD for the tactic, we returned the favor a couple times
-SBI’s main concern is HoD, we want number 1, plain and simple, the way I see it, we had JQ by 20k points last time I checked. The goal we are looking at is to wipe HoD off the map and take the number 1 in points. We have no interest in being number 3 or lower for that matter, our players are mentally geared for this type of warfare and love it. There has been a few times where we actually held #1 point tick for a period of time and are looking to wash rinse repeat on that.
-SBI team leads also recognize effective strats that are implemented by JQ as well, although from looking at these types of accusations I may start adopting the terminology of JQQ by some of my cohorts.
So, I ask those of you who are scarily assuming quite a bit about my server to reconsider your thought process and truly evaluate your situation and look inward. The team leads on our server do not look to blame anyone if we fail at an objective, but to improve from our mistakes to make us stronger as a unit and climb higher on the totem pole (Yes, like a stripper I know what you were thinking).
