SBI as a bandwagon server would almost be laughable. There was one point that we did get a lot of transfers during free transfers, but I think that was near October, right before LoD left for another game. At this point we were doing better but not always a first place server. I think I remember 1 full week of, wow we got maps filled, then it went away as quickly as it came. The majority of teams that really stuck it out in WvW are now all on either JQ or SoR and still on either server. Those teams were loyal to the server longer than they all should have been due to roster health issues you may see in some from time to time.

Thats just a glimpse of stuff that happened.. Doesnt really matter these days, seems everyone is happy where they ended up

@Fuzzion, SF is composed of primarily ex SBI players and guilds, none of us ever paid another team to transfer there. Transfers were still free.

@SBI imploding times, youtube search SF SBI chronicles, all of those videos were post WM leaving. A lot of us on the server still had a blast regardless of ppt or certain once wvw teams turned pve or inactive

@the guilds leaving JQ, they all left on their own accord. As far as the “toxic” word utilization to describe the JQ community, it was harsh and phrased improperly. This issue was resolved publicly by the poster. I would say that overall I dont see hate for the old teams that were on JQ, more like a sibling rivalry with something to prove. I know I go full throttle against Aco/Ward/Esol/Tkg. They are all good competition and worth the fights. Hell Im glad I finally got face time with TW a couple times this week. I usually get stuck on a different objective for xyz reasons.

All in all I think everyone is still enjoying the competition that we try to bring each other. If we werent WvW would be completely empty. It is each other on the other servers that keep us all coming back during our active days. We all give each other a different outlook on aspects of this game and assists with the consistent forcing of improvements of community building, fighting, communication, guild strategies, and new crap we do for science against one another. I think overall the game is pretty kitten good and thats only because of the thought processes we bring to the table against one another to keep things fresh.

Aaaanyway, we will see you all out there as usual, lets get prepped for reset night with a ton of drinks and drunken commanders all round tomorrow

Out of pure curiosity since I like to keep up with these things, what guilds joined JQ while you were out of “tier 1” and from what servers? Definitely want to know!

Since our last confrontation we lost [ACO] and [WARD] to SoR,

Anyway, a couple JQ mentioned new guilds (particularly NA timezone) joined. Just wanted a name or two, but I guess trolling is a good enough answer.

That was actually a legitimate statement… we only gained Zombie Land [WvW] since out last matchup.

Stopping in to say that I’m happy to have competition again. The last few weeks have made my team weak in my eyes. Also, myself less active in commanding the team. Don’t mind me as I run my kamikaze train in to anything and everything when I am online. I don’t care if you have 60+ and I don’t! Back to testing out what I am capable of as a team lead with the kids against teams that really fight back when you tell them to bite down on the pillow. All of your teams on BG and SoR help keep my team sharp with your level of competition you guys bring to the table.

First team since TW to force us off of alts and actually take the game seriously in a few weeks, at least for a couple hours during this matchup on Monday. I stopped visiting these public forum things, but a member of mine copy/pasted this interesting read. Being called toxic as a community really hurts, especially when it comes from someone you’ve supported to the max since day one of working on the same side. I have tagged up personally and even played purposeful cannonfodder for you and your team on multiple occaisions to acheive team goals on map together. Wiping the mega blobs in tandem with open communication and really working as a team, yet…I am tossed in with this label of “toxicity.” All I can really say is, not cool…

I said I wasn’t going to post again on the topic but Jed, you always could get me to reply. My post was a direct response to a certain guilder leader and his guild. It was not directed at SF or you and even now I will always have a special place in my heart for you and your guild.

The toxic I was referring to where certain community leaders, not all. Some including yourself have always been there to support the community and put in the overtime and work to try and improve the server. I will always respect that on a personal level. I wasn’t even going to post on the subject matter at all but everyday I find out that guild members are getting whispers from JQ members harassing them and some of those members are prominent community leaders, yourself excluded.

Please do not think this was directed at you or every single person on JQ. We still want all the best for the server as a whole and really truly hope that the few bad apples of community leaders will try and take better notes from people like yourself, Ben Sheets, Wok, etc.

Thanks for responding. It’s just in a public limelight, you know how it goes, you got a few bad apples and the word ‘community’ would be perceived by all outsiders as everyone from said group. There are a lot of us still working out ways to stay competitive in the matchups as far as coverage and game play are concerned. We still are working toward rallying members from other servers that wish to join us and one of our selling points actually is our community. That is why I would take your quotations personal. I interact with the community of JQ pretty much on a daily basis and work with members of this community to pull people in and create/maintain an attractive gaming experience. We both know it’s a lot of time and effort, and I wouldn’t want a one liner like that out there that can be viewed as truly the server as a whole. Especially from someone that a lot of players do look up to as yourself.

As I’ve said before when we had our 1on1 and Raz as well, good luck and I’ll be sure to get that full map queue to make you rage at me on whatever BL you end up on (I know how much you love full map queues on ya)

Don’t worry SoR, you are an official T1 server now for life anyhow, as Prx/Ward just bandwagoned over to you!

You can’t say your stacked until that particular group of spineless groupies pays you a visit.

Mance, we in WARD are not all PRX and come from many different guilds and backgrounds. PRX is actually still on JQ. WARD spent a lot of time and effort to prevent and minimize drama and fall out of us moving. We went to many community leaders one on one and talked to them and many give their best wishes and keep in touch with many of us in a positive manner.

What I’m getting tired of is the fact you are personally attacking and harassing members of my guild in whispers. Stop harassing WARD members.

It was this exact type toxic environment that we were trying to get away from on JQ. We did not ever say in public such a thing to prevent any fall out from it but that is the plain and simple truth. It’s one of the major reasons we moved.

We also wanted a more WvW focused community that actually tried to improve constantly, that worked well together and the added bonus of having people to play with for our members in the off hours beyond just the 4 hours of NA prime time. The game is a little stale for many members and with them spending majority of their time in LA or farming achievement points when they want to be in WvW but there isn’t anyone on the maps, they get bored and quit the game. Either we try and help prevent this or we loose member after member.

As for the SoR decision, we knew the shear amount of guilds that had transferred and were recruited to BG and it was already becoming very evident in the gameplay. We thought about lower tiers but a certain guild leader of a guild that had already experienced doing so was asked by me what did they think after they transferred to a lower tier. I was told that it was fun for 2 weeks but got extremely boring after that and they even transferred back to a T1 server. Look at the lower tiers and the extreme one sided battles do not look fun or appealing to us. SoR has coverage gaps and even the NA isn’t as strong as people thing and there are changes happening in some of those guilds that left a wonderful spot for us to help contribute and go out and have fun.

Bottom line. Get over it. It wasn’t anything personal against you, your guild or anyone on JQ. We moved for our members, trying to do what was best for them and keep them in game and having fun.

@The kudos for the Bay take yesterday, much appreciated. It was pretty tough, it wasn’t just SF though, we had a pretty mixed group of pugs in JQ TS last night that made any and all coordination possible. In essence, every member of JQ in that channel helping me out last night was one of my SF family members

Oh and SoR did expedite the process of taking that T3 Bay by hitting BG’s garrison. Had they not done that, it would have taken a bit longer to accomplish my goal for the night.

I heard that one of my commanders from SF may have interrupted a GvG from last night on a borderland. I was not online last night, my apologies for the disturbance if that was one of your teams out there last night. My intentions are not to disrupt things like that in WvW.

I was kind of shocked to see Jerico and Sauron on the same map as myself. Working against a team like Agg that strives to be the best, literally they do, for so long, it was kind of nice to see a competent team such as them stop by JQ. Whether they stay or not, that’s completely up to them. In any case, I get to troll Jerico in voice comms instead of PMs. This makes things so much more streamlined

I actually laughed reading todays episode of “GW2 Days of our Lives.” Some of you grown men and women should probably ease up a bit though. I see some pretty tense issues that may have risen up in recent times in reading some of these posts. Perhaps it was in the phase 2 developmental stage of being an infant. See, the anal stage is 18 months to 3 1/2 years. If this is tampered with during this time, it can have adverse affects on one’s development. This is all highschool psychology class, so I figure most here can relate to what I’m talking about. Perhaps it is time to, “let it go, move on, maybe…cry it out?”

@Reset night last night, I was on DB BL, Good drunken fights for reset night as usual I haven’t been able to command as often as I used to due to work, but it was a blast as usual. I love leading reset nights! Oh, and at the end of the night, to the BG guy/gal whoever dropped those 6 omegas to attempt to take hills last night, sorry for your expensive losses. We were in process of logging off as the scouting report came in! You guys actually got me in to serious mode a few times on my field calls.

I welcome the double team because it’s more action. As amazing as it sounds, farming bags gets old quickly. Sometimes a wipe is more fun than wiping the opponent.

The only thing that irks me is how big of hypocrites Blackgate is for constantly complaining about 2v1 when it wasn’t happening every single time they are in T1 and then see them stand side by side with JQ. Has nothing to do with WvW. It’s just the poor attitudes that plague these forums that are becoming annoying.

I can guarantee Blackgate would be rushing to these forums if we stood side by side with JQ and took their Garrison.

But, I hope people see these pics and know of this event, because then the games population won’t dwindle by going to the guild graveyard servers.

This actually did happen this week. JQ on the east and SoR on the west and didnt attack each other. JQ breaks into inner, and SoR stays at inner gates stopping BG from getting in. JQ caps it and SoR leaves. SoR member /laughs, I sighed, and nobody on BG posted this on the forums.

I was there for this. We let JQ cap it because we couldn’t cap it because of the skill lag. It was atrocious in there. 1 skills weren’t even firing. We figured it was best to let JQ have it and then cap it from them afterwards.

I thought it was because im hugable. I have witnessed both servers let me cap an objective while they stand to the side just to clean upgrades on an objective. I figured the other servers just like giving me things.

It has absolutely nothing to do with being ‘embarrassed’. It has everything to do with we like fighting in situations where we need the situational awareness. GvG is sort of a waste of time, because all it does is gauge e-peeeen, and luck, and really not much of the ‘skill’ aspect as to wtf to do when you have one zerg to your right, and another to your left. What do you do? Where do you go? Where should the CC’s be placed?? (type of thing) It just doesn’t offer that adrenaline rush that we crave.

As far as our ‘huge zerg’ is concerned, from our PoV you guys look like a massive zerg too. We enjoy running with our guild group, and cannot help it if militia tend to gravitate towards our commander – We just appreciate that they actually listen to our commander on TS and do exactly what we ask them to do and when. Having a competent militia following is most welcome, and I’m sure you would agree. Being the new kids on the block, it also gives us a chance to get to know the other guilds and people that we will be working with, as well as getting to know who has the good scouting calls, etc. Last night – we had roughly only 20-30 BT following our commander.

This is why I offer any form of GvG in a room in the mists away from WvW. My team was a top 20 team in the world at one point in GW1 and have dealt with the elitism that may happen on a roster. Bringing that to the table to my precious WvW crowd would quite possibly open up a pandora’s box of hate. That way I can leave the more hardcore players in a corner and if they/we fail, then we fail in our little failbox. I know I personally had “rage issues” when we were that competitive, I don’t want to do that again to my roster and I’m sure the ones that used to be around from those days would agree that they don’t want GW1 Jed back.

Aaanyway, back to the world of WvW. Reset night on SoR BL was pretty fun, I haven’t been on really all to much since, but I’m hearing a lot of good fights out there. Keep it up ladies n gents.

Pardon me for not being fully coherent, I’m still really sick. My apologies for not being around in game for you lovelies.

My team moved to JQ due to the lack of NA prime coverage at the time. If we were to move to SoR at that time we would have created even more of a hell for queue times. I truly considered SoR at first based on the fact that I liked working with Miasmic when we first started in SBI together. It’s always nice to work with friends, but it made more logical sense to move to a team that could actually use the assistance in the timezone where I am active.

Plus, at that time we still felt as though we owed SoS guilds more punches in the mouth for bringing 2-4 guilds at us at a time every night while we were on SBI. We coined a term “bring more guilds” because of SoS. Also, at that time JQ was not the winning server yet, but we felt as though we could assist with that. Regardless of how everything is panning out now with a weaker NA coverage as an NA server, we’re still having a blast on JQ and really love the community. I’m sure it’s pretty much on par with BG and SoR’s core WvW community.

Anyway, sick Jed out, I’ll be back to strapping people backwards on the front of my van naked and driving through corn fields soon, I promise!

Every militia in the game thinks SoR is stacked to the max. Why would the tick matter to them? Welcome to being the new superpower and welcome to your new battle: that of boredom, Fixeon. We, on the other hand (JQ and strikeforce) are loving it. I actually moved to JQ from SoR because I like being the underdog. It’s a role I cherish. And there’s always good fights, no matter what, from our perspective.

One of my combat officers from my past GW1 squad stated that if we did a 8on8 or 10on10 in an sPvP arena away from WvW productivity it’s definitely doable for SF. For a GvG that is. That would be an open invite to any team out there. We have not been hardcore on calls as we once were in GW1, but we’d be open to give it a shot in GW2 nowadays. Before all of the GvG hype was pretty huge, but I would like to be considerate of the other teams of JQ and keep any GvG related fights off of the WvW field and do it in a room in the mists if at all possible.

The remainder of us were experiencing sporadic freezing issues that would stall the game with nothing moving, then flash forward to action/death. Times reported are between 9-11PM CST 5/20/2013.
