After a long period of contemplation I have decided to transfer to another server to start over, and be able to play with old friends again, and some familiar guilds I used to love running with. I have loved SoR since coming here over a year and a half ago, and I have tried my best to help to rebuild. I hope to see SoR stabilize and rise up again someday because there are a lot of great folks here. Thanks SoR for all the memories and the great fun. Best of luck to everyone.

hmm didnt know that, it always seemed a bit tricky to find a green range indicator for nades’ 1500 range.

Auto Attacks seens to have higher range than they actually show on the tool tip… I couldn’t aim skills with 1200 range on the walls but I could hit with auto attacks with the same range.

even without the gap, its facing a series of hills that make it easy for a ballista to kill most siege that has line of sight on the surroundings… the gap was the clincher that allowed engis and rangers (not to mention eles) to pew pew without consequences.

Since most pug zergs are just K-Trainers who don’t like to commit a lot of time/effort to take somenthing, I’m sure that I can make them give up on QL… I know how to counter siege. And now that my siege cannot be destroyed from the gap, it will be even more time consuming for them if they atempt to it.

Oh, and any class with 1200 range could hit siege on the walls from the gap with auto attacks… I used to do it with my mesmer.

Actually you can get it to fortified pretty easy if you don’t control SMC. But it had no difference between paper or Fortified since there was nowhere to put siege on the wall that couldn’t be destroyed from below without even the use of counter siege.

Without the gap, I really doubt I’ll be losing QL if I decide to camp it.

While we have a strong daytime crew and EST primetime, our PST is still lacking…

Are you a PST player? You want to make part of one of the greatest changes in Bronze? You should join Eredon on it’s climb to the top.

I think you will find more of “server first” mentality on the small servers (As those have not been consumed by big guilds)… That said, you should take a look at any of the bronze servers and see if any interest you.

FWIW, this happened to me last night in the Mad King Jumping Puzzle in PvE.

Ah yes, the Clocktower also give you that bug everytime you fail… But as soon you get teleported back you unbug, so it’s not a big deal. It also used to happen on clocktower last year but I didn’t bothered to talk about since basically you just wait there doing nothing during the time you are bugged.

You want to fight on a bridge? Go take Mendons…

I’ve only seen this bug on wvw… Also it’s easy to tell when you are bugged so you can just use the wp again to get yourself out of this state (unless you wp right unto a contested keep).

Just a minor nuissance, really…

Without that gap, this tower will be even harder to get… Thank you Anet but remove the godkitten bridge at least. It look stupid.

Here is 2 cents:

1 – Maybe, as long the dead player was killed with a finisher (aka spiked) which is the bloodlust rule.
2 – Just like granting exp/wxp is based on tagging the enemy, I’m pretty sure your server just need to tag him a little before he dies to get points… But the only occasion where your server wouldn’t get the killing blow on a guy you have tagged would be either on a three-way or if the guy jump off a cliff.
3 – I get exp/wxp from killing players with siege then why shouldn’t it give points aswell? Sieges are part of the game and shouldn’t be excluded just because some people frown upon it.
4 and 5 – I think that it would only award points when the player is completely dead. A warrior that use Vengeance and people revived by Illusion of life were still on downed state, which isn’t full dead.
6 – A player that was tagged and jump off a cliff might also award points, just like it give exp/wxp to the people that tagged him (question 7).
7 – Hopefully… It’s not funny being farmed with 1:3 odds against you. If you give points to enemy if you die while outnumbered this will discourage people even more to a point that people won’t even try anymore…

Mark T1 as full, mark Bronze as full, give Bronze free transfers, and maybe we don’t need any server merge

There wasn’t free transfers prior season 3. The last free transfer were prior season 2… If you really intent to wait for free transfers, you gonna sit in your server for a while.

go to mid-tier server. they have better match up variation. T3,T4,T5.

Even Bronze (T6,T7,T8) have some variation… This week, T8 is having SoR (rank 19 or T7), who was at T6 match last week.

Eh idk… I have quite a good time playing, and my server (Eredon Terrace) been rotting on dead last for months straight… I’m pretty sure Ehmry Bay would be a good place.

Maybe your kind of stuff is big blob fights? That said pick a T1 server and go for it. Blackgate is the biggest of them, but I’m sure playing in TC or JQ can be just as good.

It will impact the score fairly significant with these numbers and that could also lead to (bot)hubs clubbing other accounts to manipulate scores, whenever there’s something on the line.

They can control that the same way they control how much exp/wxp you get from a player that got recently killed.

like i said, restraining everyone to EBG isnt a very good idea. I’d feel pretty cheated if it happened to me. But if it meant that there was EPIC BATTLE on the 1 map, then it would possibly be a worthwhile tradeoff

The problem is: If there is people to cover 2 maps, and you restrain everyone to one, you will have queues… I wouldn’t trade my queue free server for a epic battle which I most likely would stay out of…

Should probably lock the borderlands and contain everyone in EB. Just throwin that out there. I dont really think it’s a good idea, cause i <3 borderlands, but unless the tales of emptiness are highly exaggerated, i think borderlands would spread a low server’s resources too thin for them to be effective anywhere..

Most servers have enough people to cover 2 maps. The problem is: Each server stay on its own borderland and on EBG… So you have 3 maps without action (because there are no enemies) and EBG.

A little more about yourself or about what you are looking for would help us to point where we think you should go, which most likely will be our own servers.

Eredon Terrace got quite a boost on the population during day time… More people interested in defense (principally in defending enemy objectives to prevent recap) can play a great role in our server.

Actually they can’t, because they aggro on the mobs instead of aggroing on the yak. Also, wildlife doesn’t spawn on Borderland maps, so caravan just walk past sentries.

I still think they should change the sentry guard for the human scout instead of the charr (Ranged guard oposed to the melee one) so it can kill a undefended yak (The major issue for the melee guard is that he stand still doing his 3 hit combo while the yak walk away). Other than that, it doesn’t really need a change.

Never ever slam GW1 GvG, hence we should name what we have now 5v5,10v10 or, 15v15.

20v20 or blob v blob more like it… Most guilds don’t fight with less than that. I remember when we did 15v15 with STAR and after they lost 1-6 they complained “our comp isn’t for 15v15”.

Precisely, so why would anyone be mad over a server merge? The only thing that matters is WvW when it comes to server.

Because there are people who actually choose to not be on the high tier servers and enjoy a “not-so-bloby” WvW.

Yes, I was on BS. No I wasn’t on the GvG against HOPE. Yeah, I heard we lost 0-7.

We won quite a bit of GvGs without giving to the meta with our “terrible roaming builds”. We pretty much relied on each individual skill to survive and it worked most time… Maybe if BS didn’t disbanded I would have stayed longer on Mag and maybe went deeper on GvG scene, but I supose it was a sign when it happened that it wasn’t for me to stay there… Well, I don’t like zerg fights anyway.

The server that is top T1 is more likely be green (SFR for EU, BG for NA)… The server that is last should be red for most time (FoW for EU, AR for NA).

There are also some servers that are locked in glicko gaps, like SoS who is permanently green untin a T1 server colapse, or a T2 server get stronger. Or GoM which got locked on bronze until either HoD or BP collapse (or Darkhaven get stronger). I don’t know if a case like this happen on EU.

• understanding role-specific strategies: Warrior spam CC, Guardian spam boons, Necros spam wells and elementalists place the field the driver ask for. You can add a mesmer for a veil (optional).

• and fast-paced decision making: The driver is the only one that do this… All the other are jsut waiting for the driver calls and answer that ASAP.

Golems shouldn’t have a long lifespam anyway… Golem rushes are way too powerfull for a server have the ability to hold a banzillion of golems hidden just to golem rush everything during a low population time.

I would gadly give the ability of refreshing a golem to be able to actually keep the stupid golem safe for the time I intent to use it.

Inb4 everyone start raging on you saying EotM is PvE and that EotM should never be compared to WvW.

The NPCs are suposed to be only a nuissance and not be able to defend by themselves… Buffing the NPCs too much would completely shut down the ability of small groups to ninja cap towers and keeps. Hell, you said yourself how the storm-callers can wreck people.

Overall it’s a bad idea that will only force people to zerg, which end up helping more the server with more people than the ones with less people.

I don’t think the instances are connected since EotM are various overflows of the same map.

Because you can’t see who is the guy on the treb unless you hack yourself up there. If he just flies inside a keep with people, someone might have time to get his account name by blocking him.

So we can’t just get his account name and bring it to public/Anet.

Well if its still going on, its not an exploit because I’m sure the game masters are well informed of this, and not saying anything because fact is, he aint exploiting and the game master doesn’t want to come to forums and be like “hey its not an exploit, hes in the jumping puzzle”, because obviously you’ll go gather up a massive raid force to take out 1 guy because yall scared to investigate. I’d laugh hysterically if it wasn’t CD and some random dude from the other world, trolling to make you all mad and flame CD for them exploiting. Cuz yall seem to automatically assume something without investigating it seriously, taking multiple pics while hiding in the keep isn’t investigating, you gotta take pics from all angles and prove without doubt its off the map if that’s what you strongly believe. Automatically assuming something as in, ‘has to be CD’, ‘has to be an exploiter’.

Just wait till you get to T1 if you ever do, thing is, your server probably isn’t used to fighting worlds that use tactics, and your just use to the same worlds doing the same thing, maybe that guy trebbing you was from a T1 server like JQ, were they learned a few tricks, to just confuse the heck out of you and leave you in your garrison scared and mind blown.

All I gotta say is if any of you guys make it to T1, be prepared to get mind blown by crazy strategies and tactics, of course the number one server Jade Quarry is the master of the art of war.

Could always stick a few Siegerazers in there. The toughest (actually killable) NPC in WvW is not the SMC lord. It’s razer. Although the EBG gub might be up in the running for that too, maybe throw a few grubs around instead?

A blue server could aggro the grub on bravost siegerazer and we can solve “who’s da boss”.
