Well I had 13 weeks of the same servers in the same roflstomping match (Reffer to SF/FC/ET if you’re in doubt). Also I can assure you that my server been on the receiving end of blowouts much more than any other server in NA, and problably more than most EU servers aswell.

Not that our 7,11,13 NA match up wasn’t a foregone conclusion on Friday a few hours after reset, but hell, I just logged in at 11:00 AM EST to try to have a little fun this morning in WvW, and this is what I found… (see pic)

Not only has the dominating server taken everything in EB… they’ve WAY POINTED EVERYTHING!!!

I love the WvW game mode, but man… I doubt this is any kind of real fun for anybody.

I fear that WvW is on life support and will depart if something significant isn’t changed soon.

Remind me of old Tier 8… Ah the golden days… Imagine yourself in that situation for 13 weeks straight?

2 vistas and 1 POI in EB at the top. The balancing makes sense, but it would be nice to be red for a week. I can’t remember the last time we were red. Getting my “Been there, done that.” title is a running gag at this point. Maybe that’s the “Been there…” part.

For the other 2 servers, upgrading is pointless since the higher server can paper your keeps and towers at will.

“At will” is a relative term since most servers only paper things during off-hours… Even while Eredon Terrace was at the bottom, a T3 keep would hold through the prime time despite facing superior numbers. A paper keep surely wouldn’t.

Yes, you have to revive them within 1 minute or they despawn and the event fail.

Also I find funny when the higher tiers says they are “estabilished communities” when most of them are just a bunch of bandwagoneers that jumped left and right.

Its been already discussed a lot of times… There are people that play in the lower tiers because they don’t want to deal with the large population servers that’s blob all day.

Also, in order to merge a server, other 2 servers would have to be merged (we can’t have a tier with only 2 servers). So you would be messing 3-6 communites and not only Kaineng’s and whatever server it would be merged with.

If people can go to site like this http://hackerbot.net/mmo/plus/guild-wars-2-gw2 and download a hacking program for $5 dollars…I don’t understand why Anet has not done anything to prevent it from happening.

With the ammount of complaints I see on this forum, and how some very known hackers never got banned (Like Sorceress Bathory from EBay or Naya the Thief from NSP) I think it’s more of the first…

But recently looks like someone got banned, so who knows? You might get lucky.

If you have proof, you send it to Anet and pray to the six, or spirit of wilds, or the pale tree, or the eternal alchemy, that they might get rid of it…

Unfortunely, that’s all that can be done about it.

Pleased to meet you… As a member of a small guild, I’m not interested in guild centric mechanics as they are more likely to favor larger guilds over smaller ones (who already have a lot of issues with the upgrading process)

I’m genuinely interested in this topic and would like to get some insight into it from our players’ perspective. (For clarity, I’m not on the WvW Team; y;’all know that. I just found the theory interesting.)

Free transfers are more likely going to destroy servers like happened in the past… However a T1 server shouldn’t have the same price as a T8 server.

I belive that if prices were based on the position the server on the WvW ladder would help a bit since transferring to a lower ranked server would be cheaper than to a higher ranked one. And anyone trying to transfer up would have to pay more based on how high they intent to go.

While your point might be true, I’ve already seen many big groups just change their mind on trying to take somenthing simply because they face oposition… Depending of where you are attacking and how many defenders are in the place, it will be very time consuming and people that just want to K-train don’t find it worth it.

Lowering the prices based on server placement would be good, but giving free transfer to other servers would just promote people to stack on the said server for a easy win like happened to Henge of Denravi on Season 2. (Why would i go to 24th if i can go to 13th for free aswell?)

Yes, capturing an objective that’s actually being defended is an order of magnitude more difficult and can result in failure as compared to taking one with just NPC’s guarding it.

I’d hardly use that as a criteria to determine that EotM “people are better” o.O

I don’t get why there is people here suporting these ideas… After all, it was YOU PEOPLE that forced the uplevels, PvE’ers and K-trainers unto EotM by spilling hate on them at the regular WvW maps. If I had 1g for each time someone said “Go to EotM PvE scrub” or “WvW is no place for uplevels” I’d be the richest person in Tyria. It’s just laughable how you now want them back to the regular maps…

Altho it will continue to be boring at least it will be somewhat profitable… Also I don’t think it will attract PvE players as PvE itself is much more profitable than this…

1 more thing I now see that need to be fix is Camps in EB, they are way to Close, move them so it takes the Dolys 3min longer to walk to itch building, same with Bay on border maps.

The keeps on the borderlands are supplied by 3 dolyaks each (4 for garrison) while the keeps on EBG only receive from 2. That’s why the supply routes are shorter.

But “shorter” is a relative term… Have you ever heard about Speldan Clearcut?

I actually belive it’s the other way around, since people with guilds are more likely to do things for the good of the guild over the good of the server… And when such guild decide to transfer off, the said player won’t think twice before leaving the server behind.

The problem I have with this idea is: with the ammount of people that will be camping at the start, it problably will be inviable to get to the arena to do some dueling.

You need to squish eggs, but a lot of them… I recall 4 people spamming F over a single egg made the event spawn in 5 minutes.

False… People stack on the top tiers despite queues popping on primetime. At best EotM is taking people from the lower pop servers because these people are tired of not having anyone to play with and are stuck in infinite loopsided matches that are never on their favor.

If people are choosing EotM over the Borderlands map it might be a indicator they they DON’T WANT to be on the regular maps… Why you think it’s good that people are forced to do what they don’t want?

I’m pretty sure 75% (maybe much more) of the EotM players would never step on WvW and removing EotM would only put them back on their PvE maps…

There is no hacking in GW2 and that’s why there is no report option…

Look at ET matchup… It’s the tier we are suposed to be (According to glicko) and it’s a super boring matchup. There isn’t a way to give everyone a good matchup, but complain while you are on one of the few good matches is just silly.

It’s also a joke to get paired with the other two worlds from the same tier you are and still completely dominate the match…

SBI isn’t a small population server… Maybe the timezone you play on is the problem…

So, unless you are a NA player, the ammount of people you’ll see on off-hours is proportional to the server ranking. So you’ll have lots of people on T1, and near to no one on T8.

I belive gates and walls are classified as objects and not as monsters, since they are immunes to conditions and such…
