Just like last week, this week for us on FA Wvw is pointless and unplayable. We are against TC and We are simply getting spanked like its our birthday’s. Rumor has it next week we face a server that can take TC in WvW fights. So if thats true, That will be the third week playing WvW will be impossible. Man I gotta find a different server if I wanna play WvW anymore.
Oh yeah, there is that too… Everytime seasons come up you will be up against T1 servers who will simply roll over you with endless numbers.
Really T2 isn’t a good place to be. Move to silver or to bronze.
Why would someone get interested to be on your “T2 Dance” to end up in some disaster like the actual T2 is?
Disaster? I don’t think it was a disaster. Hardly anyone gives a kitten about ppt outside of T1. We all know its coverage. The thread is for NA fight guilds primarily looking for competition. We need a third server with similar mindset/guilds who look forward to open field fights and have interest in GvGs.

I doubt it… But really, just wait until the tournament is over and it will get a bit balanced since not always the biggest teams will be green.
I heard some people saying that mortars being manned by people with full mastery are getting bugged and only this person can man the mortar until it’s destroyed.
Might be the case?
I only play WvW and I never read the crap Anet sends me in the mail. It’s 99% of the time living story stuff. Pretty dumb they didn’t just give a chest.

Talk to the battle storian on one of the wvw maps to claim your tickets. Its a sylvari standing in the middle of the way.
If the tickets are in your bank they won’t count on your funds.
Are achievement points what people really want out of the tournaments, or is it the skins?
They need to do the achievments to get their skins, and 5 events won’t take much more than 5 minutes per week… I’m not even actively playing GW2 and I already have the 3rd week reward guaranted along with 1st and 2nd weeks (I logged on reset to pick it up).
No, it’s there. I use the guild bank in garrison all the time when I’m converting Ikea siege into good siege.
I don’t want to have to use 4 superior flame rams and wait for 2 upgrades everytime I need to use a guild bank…

As far as I know, it doesn’t… You can access your personal bank via the crafting stations but not guild bank.
They did it this way to get more consistent participation from people. They want folks to go hard all 4 weeks of the tournament, so they gave incentive for people to want to place first each week. They also would tend to hope that you read their announcements. I’d recommend submitting a support ticket and hoping that they’re kind.

So this are not just mesmer clones? Those often show up on top of the wall or behind the gate. But those are killed fast and cannot port people in.
Well, I personally have seen mesmers and eles glitching inside Tytone and Stonegaze on the back gate… Also there is a spot near the Southeastern inner gate on the Overgrown Fane which you can glitch inside.
I’ve seen people glitch inside the towers on EotM and inside the green keep… But since it’s EotM I never cared too much. (Not that complaining about the glitchs work, since there are a bunch of glitches that still never been fixed)
The queues being caused by AP hunters in season 1 and perhaps 2. I dont say all servers had that problem but there lots of moaning about it on these forums. So im glad its all done in 5 events.
There is a lot of moaning about queues from the top stacked servers… And I think they do deserve it for being stacked.

Anet resets the points spent only at the beginning of a league/tournament.
Guard Killer only give 100 power/condi (20 per stack).
People say it’s a must but really, if you’re not going to roam, you can pretty much skip it…
Go EOTM if you wanna farm pve players in a pvp zone. Glad those acheivements are easily being done so they wont cause queues for the people who play wvw outside seasons.

Eotm is not designed to be balanced and it was not the plan to do so. Its a map you can play while wait for wvw. When you wanna play Eotm only all day than you have to live with this.
I disagree, since the entire server benefits from buffs that you “win” inside EoTM. If it’s designed to be unbalanced, then that is the same as showing favoritism for specific servers because they will win all the time in EoTM and get the buffs that effect PvE and WvW alike.

Mist Raiders [MR] is rebuilding their zerg busting core here on Eredon Terrace.
From their recruitment thread on ET forums:
“We are excited to be back to guild wars 2 and rebuilding and starting fresh under a new guild. [MR] is being built to break zergs. We focus on open field fighting and organized play while collecting bags. We are looking to build a solid 15-20 man raid group that is ready to learn and have a great time.”
Keep in mind however that ET is the lowest ranked server on NA, so it’s a huge uphill battle all the times. Also if you don’t play during NA primetime (at EST more specifically), you might end up being the only player on the map. One has to be really good to survive being constantly against the odds.

Strange. I’ve been doing EotM more than usual this week due to TC (blue) curbstomping poor FA/Mag (so they certainly don’t need me there). Curiously, every time I’ve been into EotM this week, it’s been Frostreach that’s been overrunning the map. I don’t know whether or not it’s because BG is having a harder time against JQ and SoS this week, so they need more bodies in the official maps, but OG seems to be in equal or less numbers to FR this week.
In the case of NA, we have a T1 server (TC) and the top T2 (SoS) to actually put some bodies on Blue side while Red have JQ which might balance 1 or 2 overflows.
However, the OP is from EU, where the 3 leagues are with 9 servers, which mean all the winners from last week are green on this one.

Your reset night numbers say different. I’d be willing to bet a lot of your fairweather/reset night players might hop in to WvW a lot more often if they knew they were going to fight somewhat even numbers.
No server have consistent numbers from reset… Not even the winning servers continue to field as much. Taking resets on account really means nothing.
I think we’re talking a realistic limit of like 8 people per map.
Most servers have a single small zerg that bounces between maps based on threats.
It would have to be a limit per all 4 maps I guess to not break that playstyle.
Lol I don’t think it’s that bad just yet. Even in tier 7/8 the servers could field around 30 per map. I personally think bringing a little balance to WvW and forcing people to use a bit of strategy instead of just outmanning the other servers might get a lot of people playing again.
Even if your server doesn’t have 50 people on the map and another one does, it will still limit the massive zergs that can just melt down towers and keeps. If a server wants to get in a 50 man blob they will likely lose everything to smaller groups that cap things around them.
I’m curious to know which T7-T8 server can field 30 people per map… Mine can barely put 2 zergs up on primetime…

Ironically green is called Overgrowth…
The overflows for EotM are screwed when seasons are happening. Since the biggest servers end up being all green, it’s the side that have more players joining… In order to open overflow for all these players, red and blue end up being spread too thin.
Once the season ends, it will balance out a bit, but green still will be the biggest most time.
I will be putting this post in several threads. I just want to say that I really think it should be cheating that a server is allowed to tank for a few weeks to be taken down to bronze lvl just so they can dominate. I am speaking of GoM. They were Silver then just before the Tournament then tanked really bad a few weeks to be taken down to Bronze and it is obvious in their last 2 weeks in this league. The week before the tournament they completely Zerged and out numbed every on on the maps and won so bad that the first week of this tournament they had to hold back till the last 2 days and then come out in force. By allowing a server to do this The ppl that run the game have allowed then to set the deck in their favor. and as far as I am concerned that is cheating, and it is being allowed by ArenaNet and NCSorft.
GoM is a much better match than NSP (which is the server that was replaced by GoM). NSP would pretty much just roll over any other bronze server like it did in all weeks prior GoM ariving back to bronze…
So stop crying that your server not gonna win because you think GoM tanked. You wouldn’t win, even if GoM wasn’t here.

My server is currently almost 200k points behind the first place server in our matchup, yeah… I feel something alright.

I haven’t really seen anyone doing this in big fights, like Keeps or Towers, but it’s long been done in small Camp fights.
What I’ve been seeing in T1 is suddenly people are building Golems in the Lord’s Room of EVERY Tower or Keep that they plan to defend, so if you Lord gets dropped, you simply hop in a Golem (with 5 billion health or whatever) and Rez the Lord! Seriously, I’ve seen as many as 3 Golems used simply to troll the circle at a Supply Camp this week!
So yeah, Golems are the new Warbanner…
I wonder if runes of mercy have effect while you are on the golem… Problably yes since traveler’s work.
You do remember that invuln skills also prevent you from stopping the cap, right?
Warrior can pop triple stances and be immune to everything without being considerated invulnerable. So yes, they can be invulnerable AND contest the circle.
This looks alot like one of the bannable offences in the ToS, since it gives you an advantage over people without it, you know where there siege etc is, and they do not know where yours is… Just saying , i think its unfair.

Actually you can queue any structural upgrade regardless if there is a personal upgrade going on… That’s why you can order extra worker and structural upgrades at same time.
How about exhaustion be applied upon using supplies instead of dropping the siege? I can pretty much drop 3 trebs and waste 300 supplies under the 3 minute frame.
Devon, could you clarify something. Of course there is no way to prevent two servers that have faced each other from seeing each other again; but is it going to be setup so that even if the Swiss system calls for it, that there will be no repeat matchup?
For what i got, it will be the same as season 2 swiss style… If the server scores lead to it, the matchup will repeat. But since it’s only a 4 week tournament, we won’t have 4-5 weeks of the same matchup like on season 2.
A specific match won’t happen more than twice on that season, unless the score on the match severely change.

In general i understand the game is now stale, PvE is dog boring. They tried a game without the trinity and its resulted in huge unbalance in the game. The game will continue to fade as other games come out.
Come on Anet give it one last push to go off on. (and start working on a gw3)

As long as no other game offer a fast paced combat style and large scale PvP, GW2 will continue to live no matter how much you naysayers keep repeating your chorus of “gaem is ded”.
The only thing that frustrates me about EotM is that it gives (a lot) more WXP than actually WvW does, so we end up with PvE farmers with higher ranks than dedicated WvW players who don’t zerg often.
You don’t need any more than rank 1390 tho… And even then, you’ll have some masteries you’ll rarely use.
My overwolf keep reseting its settings to default everytime I open GW2… But other than that I never had a problem with using it… So I don’t see how you can call overwolf somenthing close to a Malware.
And this app looks interesting. I won’t have to alt+tab and look at MoS.Millenium everytime I want to check somenthing.
Therefore, I would think the 4 weeks of matchups should already be set, and would be nice to see that released…
When they did that on Season 1, people complained… I don’t think they will do that again to see what’s the reaction (problably more complaints but who knows).
But they said this tournament would be swiss style like Season 2, which conflict with the statement that “a server won’t face another one twice”.
Quite a bit of my friends who trasferred to DR and CD are comming back down to their respective servers in bronze… Their complaints are pretty much the same. Too much blobs, a too little action on off-time.
The blobs are fewer down here except if you are facing either SoR or SF. It hard to find a enemy roamer if you’re fighting against these two… And if you happen to find someone it’s problably a zergling trying to reach his blob.
The problem about lack of action in off-hours is pretty much the same… You won’t find much action on off-hours in any server outside T1 (and maybe T2). But if you go up there, the blobs will get bigger and even more present along the day…
So the choice is yours: Less blobs or More off-time action
… on my beloved Sorrows Furnace. We may not be the largest server…
