If a matchup that you already know ‘server X’ will win isn’t a good matchup to play uplevels, tell me which one is. Because you people will blame the uplevels if you lose a close matchup. Also I had a very good time in the last matchup we got rolled by IoJ. My thief leveled all the way from 20 to 80, and my mesmer from 35 to 65.

Now about the picture: I don’t see a reason for disrespect when you defeat someone… Howeever there will always be some scumbags that find it funny… Well, let’em be… Whatever server they may belong (since thereis that kind of people everywhere).

I think most of the people posting in this thread was trolling/forum warrioring for fun. Some people took it seriously. (I suggest you laugh and enjoy it.) It felt like the minority rather than the majority to me.

Anyway, let’s roam and throw flame rams on dead bodies sometime. ;P Ssneaky showed me the ways of the holy unbuilt flame ram.

I’m not talking about hese forums… I never really take forum seriously… But when you get yourself called an Idiot on map chat, and people on TS get upset if you keep asking for help to defend/attack an objective, it’s clear that there is somenthing wrong.

People want supplies to get to SMC, but they don’t even bother in defending the supply camps or even taking the enemy mercenary camps (which can overrun the camp). But when you ask for help to clear those things, either you are ignored, or people tell you to shut up.

People want everyone to cooperate with their “master plan”, but not a single word is said about it… These people just want us to follow blindly their instructions because they know what’s good and what’s not.

I left Blackgate for the very same things that are getting me upset on ET now… Maybe it’s a sign to move on?

You know…. After this week, I really wish we never get paired with GoM/FC/DR/AR again… I enjoy much more the weeks we are losing.

People seen to have changed on Eredon… We no loger play for fun. There is some kind of “Hardcore feeling” around, and that make a really unpleasant environment… The number of name calling and finger pointing this week seemed way higher than the last week that everyone said it was bad.

Of course, there are people that will deny that. I don’t care… Denying only show how right I am about that. Because there can be no mistakes in such a “hardcore community” right? I feel that I’m playing on Blackgate again and, seriously, I don’t like it…

I’m expecting the league season to give me a major headache because of the “hardcore players”. I expect a lot of internal drama and that really gonna spoil the fun I have on chilling around in WvW.

Now I’ll just leave it here: Is it wrong play for fun? Because I’m sure there are people in ET that belive that it is.

It’s quite true we are lacking combat / skirmish guilds in ET and have massive PVE base that makes up for our huge zergs. All these PVE contents are also the main reason we suddenly experience big drops in wvw attendance. Anet needs to learn to balance, not just go insane on PVE contents and completely ignore PVP / GvG / WvW.

It’s been too long, ET! Posting kind of late but whatever. You folks do seem to have really improved in all fronts. The few roaming experiences I had(very few since I’m not on much lately) were spectacular fights to the death.

I will always remember those brutal days of Sorrow’s Furnace domination and the positive relationships all three of our servers built through that tough period. Cheers to all the members who do still remember that time with a smile. Despite the hardship I consider it a proud chapter in the history of both our servers.

As for Devona’s Rest, it’s always a pleasure to cross swords with you swell folks as well. The skill and persistence of many of your players I met in the battlefield could put a smile on anyone’s face.

Ratings are pretty pointless to discuss because 9 times out of 10 its simply a product of:

1. low server goes up, middle goes down, top server can go either way but not a lot
2. if #1 is not true its because of recent population changes (inaccurate ratings)

and every once in awhile a difference in coverage ex: IoJ

Even more pointless to discuss since the leagues will be starting.

Apparently Thursday there will be an announcement about changes to the league system that will be coming.

^ yeah Ferg is like Sparta, we train our pugs good, as for ET being nay better, i think for a reason its always been in the bottom place, as for its current standing in the matchups, ET faced several bigger servers, the way the rating system works is even if you are a low rated server facing a server slots away, it lowers the rating of the higher server and boosts the lower server rating even if the lower server is barely holding on by a 100 ppt. So atm ET has gotten a boost from this, as for FC even if we have had 20k+ lead on GoM and DR and etc, it hasnt helped us because we are rated almost higher then AR and DR at this point. So we wont catch up to ET unless FC gets a matchup with NSp and SF while ET gets to play with AR and DR, then we can rank up a bit more to ET’s place.

Just tell me why FC is losing rating while ET is gaining, and the discussion is over…

I can’t believe that both FC & DR are double teaming ET. That’s the only reason why we’re at 130 PPT.

Obviously ET has superior fighters and have better coordination over voicechat. FC and DR are total noobs at teamspeak. L2play.

We are beating you at ppt while most of our players are logged off. Yeah so there we have it, they have had inflows since our last matchup. Its pretty obvious, but its also appreciated that someone will admit it. There is no reason not to say “we’ve gotten better” but to claim this matchup is solely about skill is just silly. Its about numbers like every other WvW matchup since the beginning of time.

I think they call “Influx” what happened to old Kaineng and what is happening on IoJ and SBI right now… In that matter, the number of people that came to ET aren’t even close as the numbers that those servers received.

But still, saying that ET is winning solely by numbers when your server is getting outplayed in fights that we are undermanned is silly.

I wouldn’t say there’s a huge population gap, it’s mainly the night crew. ET has a very organized and coordinated night team. FC on the other hand has zero atm. We used to have a really good one, but it kinda went meh!

Well… We’ll need people for the league if we want to be competitive. FC and DR have some good guilds that working together with some ET guilds, can create a lot of potential for a server… He simply know that and want to bring those people to us.

ET clearly had an influx of people, whether they had an influx of people interested in WvW or whether it was just an influx in general into the server is irrelevant.

There are many times more people playing for ET now than there were months ago when we previously faced you. Our numbers have not changed.

This is pretty obvious. 3-4 months ago, go back and read the forums, you could not field 20 people, now you suddenly have 3 20 man zergs on one map, sometimes much more. That’s purely numbers.

However, saying that the numbers are the only thing carrying ET is the same as saying your server is bad.

FC, just like ET fought SF months over months, and should have learned by now how to deal when you are outnumbered… So, either FC still bad and don’t know how to deal with it, or ET got much better (and since you refuse to accept #2, I will take you want to say that #1 is the truth).

Nice fighting at FC hills now… We were able to hold it for 2 hours under constant pressure of FC who came with rams, alphas, rams again, trebuchets, catapults, alpha again, and finally with an omega. We were down to 5 people by the time you took it… But that was a fierce battle nevertheless…

This golem still live! And it shall keep fighting!
