It will ultimately be defined by who FC will roll over… As the current ET state, I’d say it’s pretty much even paired with AR, and that we were lucky of actually getting second from Kaineng last week.

Fergs have the lead (as expected), but I’m surprised AR is in front of ET (even if it’s just 700pts)… If fergs gain a much larger lead on both servers it will quickly become another “fight for second” week.

Another bro-duo matchup (kitten you Arena Net for the lack of the Bro-Trio one)… Aparently Eredon Terrace is revitalized from 2 crushing defeats, after regaining 2nd in a matchup that was almost lost. So I’d say we’ll be fighting for 1st (and might actually get it), unless mid-bro says: “NO, kitten-off”.

Also, we have Anvil Rock here with us, which also is suffering from 3 consecutive defeats… However, they may be the factor that will decide which bro will win.

I know you guys are convinced that this is an exploit, but I think it’s pretty clear that Bay was designed with those gates precisely to allow what people are doing. Why else would those portals be there and not act like walls? What other purpose do they serve? I think they are working as intended, frustrating as that may be to those who take Bay, just as perma-stealth thieves and Mesmer portaling in general are working as intended. I recommend not killing the Mesmer by the underwater portal or by doors and, yes, there are ways to do that.

Not-So-Off-Topic: Also, bay is a so stupid keep to take… You can treb bay from the valley camp, from briar tower, from garrison, from quarry camp, from the bloodlust ruins, from SMC, from Lion’s Arch, even from bay itself… This keep need some serious changes. There towers way harder to get compared to bay (like Jerrifer’s or Veloka).

Im still not sure who will win between HoD and SF and GoM has been surprising to say the least.

DH and HoD are having a closer match this week than i imagined would happen. FC isnt doing as good as we thought they would this week.

Judging the week where SF faced DH, with this week where HoD is facing DH. And also that we faced both server… I’m willing to place my bet on Big Bro.

HOWEVER. We know that a large chunk of SF numbers are the fairweather that come out on easy matchups. If they decide to flee from HoD, SF stand no chance against HoD.

Like we’ve all been saying all along. Bronze league is the most competitive league. It’s the only league that you don’t know the results before leagues even start.

I feel a little bad for NSP & IoJ since they got trapped in Silver league.

Killed100 with 30 people , its constantly satisfying up here, The skill level really does start to drop the higher you get. Only coordination gets better.

Oh, the old Mend bunkering… Where are mah trebs?!

Also I agree the level of skill on the higher servers is kinda pathetic… On SF/YB/ET week, Yak’s only won a fight when they heavily outnumbered us (which was 99,5% of the time). On even fights, they were a joke…

Depending on your phone, you can install TS on it, to chat with your guildies that might be on-line on it. I have a friend that do this…

Bronze League Servers – Do you feel WvW culture/environment/participation has changed for the better, worse or stayed the same since leagues started?

Givem the ammount of drama-lhama we’re been facing on ET, i can say the environment has gotten worse… But it may be the stress of 2 hard weeks right at start.

I hope there are some of the old time T8 people left on ET who can get in some commander positions, cause they wouldnt have done that. I remember them being very opportunistic and taking advantage in dynamically changing maps. Instead they forced us to commit to taking out ET so that we would have some breathing room to deal with DH who was the bigger threat.

You are either new to ET, or completely undestimate our sympathy for the 2 servers we were stuck with back in the days of the glicko rot. Just because we still play and want to win, does not mean we dont give you guys a break here and there, but as I said, you have to be able to recognize and take advantage of it.

Most of the old timers left the server… The mentallity around here changed.

When I left GW2 back in June, we still were thinking like we used to on the glicko ghetto days, but facing even greater oposition (since it was when the random matchups started) was a breaking factor… I don’t know what happened in those two months I’ve been away, but when I returned to GW on August, the play meta had changed…

We were no longer taking oportunity targets in a fast hit-and-run like we used to. We’re now bunkering in our borderland like everything else didn’t matter, and that’s it… Our Eternal Battleground keep get flipped easily as an attack on southern borderland towers take priority over keeping it (kittening logic), and we’re constantly outmanned on EB (not letting us actually do much offense, as we keep getting hit).

Also, if you try to play out of the new meta, people will throw stones at you and say that you are hurting the server. So I just have to sit and watch our stuff quickly vanish from all other maps, while our borderland slowly flip aswell…

I won’t be impressed if even Anvil Rock beat Eredon on it’s actual state… But we’ll see that on next week. (along with Mid Bro)

We have to play against HOD which will be a rough match for us, we’ll see how it goes, but I think it will be a lot like our other match ups, which is we’ll be either winning at prime time or be very close at prime time and then the real outcome will be decided by coverage gap. Sad but true, the fights will be meaningless unless we completely steam roll them, rest will be just up to the off-time cappers.

Yes, WvW is such a pointless game to play to win… Numbers decide it, no matter what. And I find it funny how some people still rage about how they are losing and keep blaming each other for that, when actually, it’s a question that the server can’t field enough people to keep up with the oposition…

My general feeling for reset weekend is that GoM is going to get a point lead on Kaineng the true test on where the matchup will go will be sunday late night and Monday.

I spent reset bashing my head (and dying repeatedly) against larger numbers on foreign BL’s, our one capture of hills on GoM BL was stifled by an immediate counter attack with us unable to get any supply for defensive siege because ET just capped the SE camp. Overall though there was several epic moments on reset and was quite fun overall even if we didn’t make much headway.

Unless one of the three servers suffer a real change of numbers, I can say this matchup is already pretty much decided…

PvE’rs will see that GoM is going to win and are going to swarm all over WvW, making GoM get more numbers (if they aren’t there already).

Also Kaineng already show that they have a good PvDoor off-hour crew (Kaineng had over 330ppt when I logged in the morning).

Eredon can’t compete with GoM on prime time and can’t compete with Kaineng on off-hours so, we’re problably sticking with 3rd again unless the two things pointed above suddenly disapear during the weekdays. However Eredon presence during the week is also rather weak, which almost resulted on a defeat in the matchup between ET/FC/DR some weeks ago where FC would problably win if the week had 1 or 2 more days.

I’m confused. You don’t play xPvP because you don’t like the limited nature of the game mode (i.e. point capture), so you play WvW and just choose to take and hold objectives to get people to come and fight you?

As for an early post about going SPvP or TPvP, I just can’t do it, I don’t like the 3 point capture game mode, now if it was like a team death match, or just 1 point that moved spots every few mins, then I would probably consider it over wvw, since wvw is usually get zerged, zerg a player or find no action. In cases there’s no action we flip camps/towers hoping it’ll draw attention.

If you ever played sPvP, you know you can just run around capturing the points without even need to kill a single player to win (I did it myself, plenty of times mind you).

And for what i can see here, BS want people to fight them, but the only ones that actually decided to face BS are either the clueless or the megazerg (which none really matter from them as it will be a massacre or be massacred). sPvP would simply end on the same thing. As people would realize they don’t need to actually fight BS to win the match, they would simply keep running around the control points.

I belive taking points on WvW draw some people attention, which end up on ocasional fights… But unfortunely its either the clueless or the megazerg. Which end up not being what BS actually want.

But that’s just my two cents.
