Finally the last week of the seasons is here… Some servers suffered from it, while other grew even stronger than before.

And the most important matchup (after the HoD/SF/GoM one) is now on. Sorrow’s Furnace and Darkhaven will fight to see who deserve to be second in the league, and ET will sit on the front row to watch this.

Sorrow’s Furnace come from a relatively easy win from the last time they faced Darkhaven, however it was on the first week of the season. Darkhaven says they are much stronger than before and is up to show that they can win this rematch.

Eredon Terrace, the dead last server of the league, is able to help one of the two to secure their victory. But at the current situtation, I’m sure ET will be very busy trying to reclaim their stuff back to bother in attacking one of the two.

Now, on with the show!

The grand fight for second is right at our doorstep… I’m lucky that I’ll be able to take part of it.

So boring that not even fight night we had…

That’s the legendary Ajax Blue. He left ET long ago to Kaineng, but I heard he’s already on somewhere else… Some say he’s gone to IoJ, but I don’t know about that.

What skill gives you all boons? Bountiful theft gives only 2 and only if your target has 2 boons on them , 3 for Thrill of the Crime and those are fury, might and swiftness. So I am trying to figure this out.

Its the Steal Skill we get off of mesmers

There are two skills a memser has that involves boons. Arcane thievery will trade 3 conditions for 3 boons and Signet of Inspiration will grant a random boon every 10 seconds unless activated where it grants all boons to allies. So to get all boons the mesmer would first have to have the Signet slotted and secondly he would have to activate that signet. Now what intelligent mesmer would do that against a thief?

You clearly never played a thief, right? Everytime a thief use steal on ANY mesmer, they get a spell that give you all the boons.

If done correctly there is no room for the thief to dodge the wave while waiting under the house, the wave will cover the whole circle. It will fail if a) you are too far back from the edge or b) you only catch half the circle and they are in the other half.

If you dodge during the wave, you won’t get pushed back… I may be a terrible thief, but I know how to stay inside a shadow refuge.

Because mesmer, gets me hated, you should have seen Et and AR matchups would hold up a group of 5 at a tower just get siege on me and arrowcarts, come down and jump on my body once I killed several of them in the siege fire, i will probably play warrior next or thief.

I’m sure thieves and warriors are the next on the hate line after the mesmers.

I am so excited. Darkhaven has been preparing and organizing. Darkhaven is currently the underdog as everyone realizes, but don’t count us out yet! I also don’t think we’ve faced ET since the beginning of the season, so it will be good to see them again.

I don’t think you’ll be seeing much ET around… SF zerg/blob will problably blot out every red dot from the map, just like this week.

Sorry for all those guilds I didn’t mention. As a former LORD I know they have organized groups (but are a PVX guild, not full time WvW) this is why I stated StaR as an example. All the other guilds out there (CoSA, ICE, LH, ect) bring some great things to this server, and we are who we are because of the great guilds we do have here in SF. There is nothing we can do about our numbers, so the complaints about them aren’t going to change anything.

However, what could change for ET and other servers is working together. I see A LOT of ET out there running solo, not very organized. You see a group coming to push through you in battle, you scatter. You hide behind your siege and you don’t stick together as one unit. This is a big problem with ANY server. Your commander runs one way, you all run the other? How do you expect to gain any ground (with little numbers or less numbers) if even from the outside it’s noticed that you can’t seem to work together as a unified team?

But what happened to a group of 20 ET holding ur 50+ in front of ET Keep in EB last night with us using 0 siege and you guys throwing it when ever you can? How do you explain your disorganization? Just saying.

I bet they gonna say “Oh it was a PUG group, our guild groups are organized and blahblahblah”, then you will call them for a GvG and they will all say no because “they are PvX guilds”.

I think in EVERY match up thread since the start of time against ET has been them complaining about our numbers and our T1 transfers. I’m still really waiting to see something new from you guys, but we never do. Also, I’m still waiting to find out who we got that were T1 transfers? I’d really like to know this so we can thank them for the lack of help they’ve been providing due to hiding in the shadows of non existence.

Who the kitten said you got T1 transfers? All I said is that SF outnumbers us (which you cannot deny), and that you can roll easily over anything because of that.

I agree with Mosharn… You guys were good on week 4 because you had everyone on the game still thinking you could win the league. At week 5, you fairweather base gave up and you lost most of your number (thus why your week 5 was horrendous).

Numbers dictates this game. No tactics can win a matchup against a server that can easily overwhelm you.

In other words: ET can even try Blackgate tactics, but if SF just come and zerg us with big numbers and no tactics at all we’ll still lose.

Well, I’m not asuming victories of DR over AR in pre-season. I’m assuming the victory of DR over AR on week 1 (GoM/DR/AR).

After two weeks, CoSA Sorrow’s Furnace can go back in taking empty defended keeps with their superior numbers skills/tactics… If someone intent to roam this week, I’d suggest you to bring friends. You know the oposition is going to be big.

In the other hand, we have Kaineng and Eredon Terrace fighting for second. Kaineng is comming for a rematch while ET is struggling to not be last alone (a victory of ET over Kaineng would mean a tie in the last place, as none of the two have chance for a 2nd next week)… That mean there will be a lot of moaning about being double teamed we’ll have a fun week.

AR really improved in the last 2 weeks… DR is better be prepared or they will lose 2nd to AR 2 weeks straight.

FC and GoM will be struggling for 4th in this matchup… The next matchup for FC is a sure 2nd, while GoM can easily win their last matchup.

If FC, beat GoM for 2nd this week, both will tie with 23 pts. Otherwise, GoM will be 4th with 25 and FC will stick at 5th with 21.

Bronze League players had AR last in Bronze League. With a little teamspeak and defense we managed 2nd place two weeks in a row. If we can keep this momentum up for the next two weeks, I am thinking more like 6th, maybe even 5th if Kaineng can’t pull off 2nd place for the next two weeks.

Unless AR get a second on the next two weeks, or if ET can’t beat Kain next week, you going to be last along with ET anyway. But I still don’t expect AR to be able to beat DR. So I belive ET/AR/Kain will all be tied on last with 11pts each.

If we are against ET again tonight after reset I definitely will, but 3 weeks in a row against ET is unlikely. My 2 guild creations this upcoming week will be reserved for the guilds on the opposing servers I want to troll the most.

By now it is clear that HoD is the server who will walk away with all matches won.
Second place might be decided in the final week between SF and DH.
But top four will probably be the servers at the top four right now namely: HoD, SF, DH, FC.
Season mathcups:
HoD vs FC 3 times
HoD vs SF 2 times
HoD vs DH 1time

You might argue that DH faces off against SF 2 times and against SF faced FC only once, but DH has a fighting chance against SF but HoD is beating the pants off SF at the moment. HoD is hands down the strongest server in this season and FC has the fortune of facing them more than any of the other top contenders….

I guess my point here is that FC got “Anetted”… again….

It problably was based on the rating prior the seasons… FC was the server right behind HoD on the ranks while DH and SF were behind FC. They problably expected that having more FC x HoD would be more balanced than having more FC x SF/DH.

However the broken ratings and the unstable flux of people when the seasons announced made the result of our league to be much different than what we already were expecting by the glicko ratings (Kain/ET that were expected to do good are being terribad, and SF/DH that were mid contenders are fighting for top positions). Look at silver/gold: basically nothing changed…

Maybe titanlectro is right and they learned because of the high ammount of discussion over this topic on GoM/Kain/ET matchup. That only show that bringing this topic to the forum is counter-productive and problably even worse than that.

On AR, when we want to fight, we go to actual pvp where things are closer to balanced (even for 1v1’s). Food, some runes, and even some traits are a bit ridiculous that can be abused in wvw.

There is no pvp in this game. There are only circles and circles with destructible walls. :/
