Only ANet knows for sure because at best we have vague references to go by so far. However going by season one and IMO what makes the most sense, season leagues will be determined on March 28th at reset. If that is the case, the leagues are pretty much settled except for Mags, FA and DB all of which could still land in Silver. Although FA is the most likely to do so.

Depending on next week, NSP/SF might swap places aswell…

Well, they lowered the price for high servers from 1000 to 800… Minor change if you ask me (200 gems is about 15g)… The other pricings remained the same.

On season 2 they are completely changing the prices based on where the servers are ranked, and where they will be on leagues…

Some people might ask: “What about silver, where we have servers with inflated ratings? T5 is problably stronger than SBI/YB/BP/SoR atm.”

Well, let’s take a look on how it might roll…

DB, IoJ and HoD win and get 5pts
SBI, YB and CD get 2nd and get 3pts
SoR, BP and SF lose and get 1pt

Next:

DB wins, go to 10 (5+5)
IoJ get 2nd, go to 8 (5+3)
HoD lose, go to 6 (5+1)
CD wins, go to 8 (5+3)
SBI get 2nd, go to 6 (3+3)
YB lose, go to 4 (3+1)
SF wins, go to 6 (1+5)
BP get 2nd, go to 4 (1+3)
SoR lose, go to 2 (1+1)

Next:

DB/IoJ/CD
HoD/SBI/SF
YB/BP/SoR

DB wins, go to 15 (10+5)
IoJ get second, go to 11 (8+3)
CD lose, go to 9 (8+1)
HoD wins, go to 11 (6+1)
SF get second, go to 9 (6+3)
SBI lose, go to 7 (6+1)

So, the ‘dying’ servers, would be pushed to the bottom of the league, right at the first two weeks, and never again they would face DB/IoJ… I used the prediction that SBI still stronger than YB/BP, but idk if that is accurate, but it won’t change the fact that SBI would be down with YB/BP/SoR and never face DB/IoJ.

Regretfully , some matchups in league are just brutal. The top bronze server vs the bottom, the top silver vs the bottom. At least in gold its more competitive.

But the top silver vs the bottom silver, will be a complete slaughter.

Some server will never face each other in the format of the actual league… I’ll use the exemple te actual scores and tiers (i’m disregarding the mismatched ranks):

NSP, GoM and DR get 5pts
FC, ET and AR get 3pts
DH, EBay and Kaineng get 1pt

The following matchup will be decided by the ammount of pts each team scored, so the trios listed above would be the next matchup. If we follow the rating logic we would have next:

NSP win and go to 10pts (5+5)
GoM get 2nd and go to 8pts (5+3)
DR lose and get to 6pt (5+1)
FC win and get to 8pts (3+5)
ET get 2nd and go to 6pts (3+3)
AR lose and go to 4pts (3+1)
DH win and go to 6pts (1+5)
EBay get second and go to 4pts (1+3)
Kain lose and go to 2pts (1+1)

The following matchups would be:

NSP/FC/GoM
DH/ET/DR
AR/Ebay/Kain

Where we would likely have:

NSP win and go to 15 (10+5)
FC get 2nd and go to 11 (8+3)
GoM lose and go to 9 (8+1)
DH win and go to 11 (6+5)
ET get 2nd and go to 9 (6+3)
DR lose and go to 7 (6+1)
AR win and go to 9 (4+5)
EBay get 2nd and go to 7 (4+3)
Kain lose and go to 3 (2+1)

Making the next matchups:

NSP/FC/DH
GoM/ET/AR
DR/EBay/Kain

And so on…

At this model, only servers that win at the ‘tier 2’ of the league, will actually get matchup with the top ones… So the chances that DR/ET/AR/EBay/Kain ever face NSP/FC are none very slim (DR get matched with NSP at second week)… This model would be a pain for FC because they would face NSP over and over for most, if not for all weeks.

But even so, the leagues will be pretty much decided at first week, just like the last time… Unless the bottom servers receive some last hour transfers.

So, no more drama?

1.) Why they change the prices on 28th based on 28th ranking and not on 14th ranking?
2.) Why they didn’t make the leagues associations official, if they are already been set?

P.S.: As I remember the preseason 1 prices were also based on the ranking two weeks before season 1 started and the prices and associations of leagues for season 1 were set on the ranking of the date when season started.

Preseason 1 never had prices adjusted… The prices were the ones it always been prior march 18th (Which was 1800 to VH, 1000 to H, 500 to M)

But back on the topic we have here: NSP is in a very delicate position… NSP is too weak, to take on HoD/CD (And problably all silver league, except maybe for SoR), and NSP is too strong for FC/DH (And likely the entire bronze league, except maybe for SF)…

NSP is currently ranked as 15th (As it been for the last 3 weeks), thus, being on silver league spot. Also being on 15th made transfers free for NSP until the day prior leagues opening (March 27th).

Being able to easily win over 2 of the 3 top bronze, and being able to receive people for free until the league start, I belive its clear that NSP should (like it or not) be on silver league, along with the other two silver league servers that received free transfers (HoD/CD).

Why should Sorrow’s Furnace, a server that didn’t received the gift of free transfers, be pushed to silver instead of NSP? SF never even ranked above 16th for its whole history, and I don’t belive the time is now (as NSP is much more fitting for it)…

Also, NSP think they were the only server that was rolled over for being one of the last places of a league? DR/Kain/ET, CD/IoJ and SoS/Mag also had 9 weeks of other servers kittenting over their heads just like you, so don’t come cry to me about how unfair your situation was because you were not the only one on it…

Well last night around 20 min before my post saying “Rage” a nice ET Zerg happen to know we were bringing golems out of spawn. The whole time we were building [BS] was there to greet us at every camp xD. I mean I just don’t know how ET would know about this I mean we did not tag anything, Nor where we even out of spawn by the time this Et Zerg comes to chill right on the hill not allowing us to get down with golems. No SF caught us when building these golems. Nor did one even have the time to see our films to relay to the rest of the ET.

So anyone from SF/ET care to guess what is happening? I have not seen a reduction in SF numbers at all (dominant zerg in EB, COSA+King+Lord mega blob in SF BL fighting outnumbered VoC+LoL group). So why are we keeping so close now? Am I wrong and you guys do have way less, or do we just have way more? Would be kind of weird if holidays hurt us that much more than it hurt you, but I suppose anything is possible.

I belive ET is out of the game… Thus why DH is being able to keep up with SF. Last week, DH was somewhat focused by ET in the fight for second.

Not really, because you can still attack normally from stuck state… You just can’t move as if you had immobilize.

BS asking other people not to trash talk lol? It’s like a serial killer telling the person he’s about to kill to not kill him in self defense. Not even meaning to be offensive, you guys readily admit you’re the types who do things like trash talk/be disrespectful (as belle has repeatedly proclaimed). Not saying that’s wrong, just that it is what you do.

DI has done a ton of trash talking (joined my party once only to verbally flip out)/generally disrespectful things to us in game so I don’t see why you think we shouldn’t respond. We’ll just let them /sit, /laugh, throw siege on us and do nothing about it? Your demand for us to not talk trash about them is just really weird.

(Should also be noted that I don’t talk trash about DI cus I have no problem with them personally. Just commenting on the oddness of the request for X not to trash talk DI.)

Well, this is problably my last post on this board. It was fun while it lasted… So many tears to be fed upon. So much trolls/warriors to fight against… And no, I won’t be taking part of the new board, I’ll just continue without forum warrioring. Even though it’s the best part of WvW.

In our Banish (Or Hammer #4 for nabs) contest on Hills keep cliff. I won over Arius by banishing 3 ANBU and being the only BS banished.

Assassin X escaped from being banished by staying on the edge in downed state after banish… Also, don’t keep running to cata instead of fight us bro. That’s disapointing.
