I think GoM-Dh-SF is a really good matchup but I have a feeling DR is gonna kick us out of t6. We just don’t quite have the numbers anymore. We used to be so massive for bronze, now we’re large but just not large enough :/.
Make DH implode already so you can join ET/EBay in a match where we’ll see ‘who can field less’

This screenshot is from last week (I haven’t been on ET for 2 months) If I remember correct, it’s Wednesday or Thursday (Maybe even friday prior reset, but less problable).
I belive we had 1 large group (I’d say somenthing between 20-30) defending our borderland against another GoM zerg, and that’s why our EB corner was abandoned.
Yeah, you are correct about we having most of our borderlands… That’s the only map where we have people for most time. As soon as somenthing on ET BL get touched, everyone go running to defend it and we lose our entire EB since no one stay around to defend.
Also, this picture was taken at the same time when someone from EBay posted on the matchup forums that GoM was spawncamping them on EB (So GoM zerg on EB was large enough to spawn camp both servers, but the GoM guy already said they do queue EB, thus why i said it’s only for flavor)
I really wish a 3rd bronze server implode completely… So we can have a deserted matchup between ET, EBay and the 3rd unfortunate server…
Like escorting dolyaks wasn’t hard enough with sniping thieves… Now we’ll have to watch out for people of our own servers stealing supplies from dolyaks.

NSP have quite a bunch of good roamers. And if you want to face the people from HoD aswell, CD is your best bet.
Im once again guessing you both play in EB only. We can only que EB. The other maps are held by small teams and fight 60 vs 20 on a very regular basis.

SF, GoM and DR are problably the most populated servers in bronze right now (SF was already big, GoM grew even without free transfers, and DR is being stacked with bandwagoners by free transfers). FC and DH which were favorites for top bronze bleeded out some people and will problably be competing for 3rd at best…
Edit: And before some GoM angry player come yelling “WTF, we don’t go to your recruitment threads to call you bad and blahblahblah” I never said GoM is a bad server, I’m just pointing GoM isn’t outnumbered as they think they are.
This makes wvw guilds look bad because they don’t want random players and it doesn’t help the game community at all. Why be unfriendly only because of a silly game mechanic?
Because they want to look like pros…
I’m always amazed at the few abusive/toxic people from certain small/mediocre skilled servers who have determined they own said server and nobody else is welcome on same.
The more that transfer, the more these people’s voices are drowned out and gotten rid of from the server they claim to own.
And when all the bandwagoners leave, the people that called these guys ‘toxic’ will remember them and will say: “Looks like they were right…”
Let me see if I can give a light to your issues…
1 – Yeah, that’s bad… Almost everyone expect that the commander drop the siege for them, because of the usual “Don’t drop siege for the commander” police… Of course, if you take too long to make your move, someone might drop a siege at random and complain you’re doing nothing. So fill your bags with the blueprints, and try to plan where you gonna drop them beforehand.
2 – Always carry all kind of siege… Golems can be left aside tho, they are more for specific ocasions, not for general ones… But always have Arrow Carts, Ballistas, Trebuchets, Catapults and Flame Rams. Principally the last ones. Some superiors also come handy.
3 – Being a commander require having a really thick skin, because one can’t simply calm a angry zergling… If you make your intentions clear, and saying why you are doing that, you’re likely to keep the zerglings quiet. Of course people will likely get upset if you get them wiped over and over and there is no god that gonna help you with that.
4 – When a guild claim a objective, all the active WvW buffs will affect players within the zone of the objective… The most popular one is the +5 supply carry buff, which people give to camps, but there are many others that you can check on your guild upgrade list unter the Art of War tab.
5 – Some keeps are easier to attack than others. A sieged keep can be even more dangerous than a upgraded non-sieged keep… You might want to scout around your objective (to check for any siege you can spot) before going for it, and find a way to go around the defenses (if possible). A unprepared attack toward a T3 keep is likely to fail if there are defenders around.
6 – Coordinated efforts are always a great play… Rolling a 100man zergball is counter-productive if you enemy is playing Divide-and-Conquer (thus, being able to cover more ground than you).
7 – Unless you can get someone already known in your server to tell people to give you a chance, the only way to prove your worth to the others is going out there and make stuff happening… Try don’t argue with the trolls that will say you’re bad, because they problably don’t even have balls to take up the commanding role and will give excuses like “gimme 100g and I’ll do it” just to be able to get away without getting on the responsability.

We wanted having superior numbers to still feel important, without feeling like that was almost always the deciding factor in fights.
Too bad you never considered designing WvW around that philosophy.
Maybe EotM was the first step to make changes towards that? Idk…

Colors are random now. They changed it several months ago because people were complaining that they couldn’t get map completion due to always being the same color.
Out of curiosity, do you have a source for this?
Just look at the matchups? See if the server rank and colour match…

Better be a strong community than a strong bandwagon… A wagon stop once it hit a wall.
You can counter any SM treb with arrow carts or trebuchets.
He’s complaining because he think that it need 90% of the server pop to breach a paper outer to break a few 3rd floor trebs… Pu-lease… Sometimes I even break outer by building a cata by myself in some of the walls away from the gates.

Here is some “Old Time OS” on the old T2 between BG/SoR/TC… I really don’t miss it a one bit, simply because that stupid arena give you 0 chance of being able to counter whoever is on the top (even without siege)… So you could just be the first to make it to the top of the arena, and never alow anyone to complete it, without risking being killed, as the jumps are too far to be done in combat.
The rewards are based on the position of your server towards the league you are in. And they are the same for all 3 leagues…
The FA/SBI/IoJ matchup can’t be fixed… FA is 7th, SBI is 8th and IoJ is 9th… That’s the ‘ideal matchup’ on T3 based on rankings. However the population imbalance betwhen these servers make it a big joke…
As for the euro matchup, these were some real bad rolls… That quote is from when we still had real tiers and the server matchups would only change when a server actually passed other on ratings…
Right now there is a random roll (i think they call RNG) that they do at the start of every week with every server rating, in order to give some new matchups instead of the stale ones we had on the old tiered ladder… However, with a few bad rolls on the RNG, some matchups (Like VZ/AG/FS which are 3rd, 13th, 12th respectively) will be very unbalanced since a server that isn’t suposed to be on that tier, end up facing servers that are much higher or much lower.
While I think some ET people won’t like this post, I belive some things must be said.
I’ve been on quite a few servers around (Blackgate, Maguuma, Darkhaven, Eredon Terrace and even on EU Piken Square). While I may be biased by having spent most time on ET, I think that the community here is one of the most friendlier ones you’ll find out there (Altho i did liked Piken’s)… This community is always welcoming new people with open arms, as its always good to see some new faces join our server, be it on PvE or PvP.
Eredon Terrace suffered a major exodus in the past (falling from 3rd to 24th), so the core of the community is composed by some real Die Hards that been sticking to the server even tho it fell a long way…
We have seen many guild come down to us… While some just came down to take a small break from the high tiers (Like [Agg]), there were others that came down (or formed here) with the desire of making ET a stronger server (Like [FoE], [DI], [AKD], [BoM] and maybe others i don’t remember)… The problem is that these guilds that gave us hope of growth, absorbed our people, and left our server (Or simply died like [FoE]). It didn’t happened once or twice. It happened many times over the course of the last 14 months (Time since ET reached the very bottom of the well).
So, if you want to come to Eredon Terrace hoping to make the server grow, but isn’t willing to stay because the road is ‘too long and boring’, don’t even bother comming down here! Server growth isn’t somenthing that happen on a single night (unless you are a super huge active WvW guild like WM was to Kaineng on the past) and we don’t need anymore guilds comming to absorb our already outmanned playerbase, to just leave after…
However, if you are someone who is willing to try take this long trip, no matter how arduos it may be, I’m sure the community of Eredon will accept you with open arms, just as we accepted everyone, including those that turned their backs to us…
“Leave HoD server and join HoD guild on DR” would be a nice sign for you campaing…
So, HoD have enough people to start a Queue Wars with FA/Mag (Whichever stays for silver)…
…I have never seen the strongest team having red keep, so maybe the colours are according to the rank within that tier and red keep gets this opportunity as a bonus.
They USED to be like this… With the semi-random matchups given to us by RNG, the strongest server might end being red… You’re just lucky you haven’t seen a powerful red recently…

In anvil rock server i never saw i queue in about 1.5 years
Its some disease that affect people that play on stacked top tier servers
paper / wooden / T1
reinforced / stone / T2
Fortified / Iron / T3
The only issue I have with SMC is the fact that Overlook keep and SMC can treb each other, which I belive to be a super downside if the weaker server in the matchup is red, or a super unfair advantage if the top dog of the match is red.
Other than that, you can alway breach outer and AC down the trebs without having to actually take the castle… I’ve enetered on a fortified SMC many times just to break siege and then jump out as the defenders were already ready to protect the inner.
Then your problem is a population imbalance issue, and not game mechanic issue…
That’s the idea of SMC friend. Its a super hard to hold structure that give you a unfair advantage over all the surrounding towers… Your team had that advantage too while you held SMC, why you didn’t used it? Just because the enemy team used it better than you, doesn’t mean the desing is bad.
I’m sure its the fairweathers saying “yay, no more IoJ to roflstomp us, lets K-Train all week!”

Well, let’s take a look on how it might roll…

SBI, YB and CD get 2nd and get 3pts
SoR, BP and SF lose and get 1pt
Next:
DB wins, go to 10 (5+5)
IoJ get 2nd, go to 8 (5+3)
HoD lose, go to 6 (5+1)
CD wins, go to 8 (5+3)
SBI get 2nd, go to 6 (3+3)
YB lose, go to 4 (3+1)
SF wins, go to 6 (1+5)
BP get 2nd, go to 4 (1+3)
SoR lose, go to 2 (1+1)
Next:
DB/IoJ/CD
HoD/SBI/SF
YB/BP/SoR
DB wins, go to 15 (10+5)

So, the ‘dying’ servers, would be pushed to the bottom of the league, right at the first two weeks, and never again they would face DB/IoJ… I used the prediction that SBI still stronger than YB/BP, but idk if that is accurate, but it won’t change the fact that SBI would be down with YB/BP/SoR and never face DB/IoJ.
Also, servers that are tied in pts will be ranked according with their world rating… So if a server have more rating than another when both have the same pts, the server with more rating will be ahead on ranking purposes.
I think the way it works is that if:
Say BG wins BG/JQ/TC and SoS wins SoS/Mag/FA(DB)
BG = 5 pts, TC 3 pts, JQ 1 pt — SoS 5pts, Mag 3pts, FA/DB 1pt
Match the next week would likely be
BG (5)/SoS (5)/TC (3) + JQ(1)/Mag(3)/FA(DB)(1)
Obviously, the week after that would very likely be BG/TC/JQ + SoS/Mag/FA(DB) again and it’d just keep flip flopping.

It’s how its on their post about the leagues format, but looks like most people have a hard time to understand… Imma just copy/paste my post from the other thread:
Some server will never face each other in the format of the actual league… I’ll use the exemple te actual last week scores and tiers (i’m disregarding the mismatched ranks):
NSP, GoM and DR get 5pts
FC, ET and AR get 3pts
DH, EBay and Kaineng get 1pt
The following matchup will be decided by the ammount of pts each team scored, so the trios listed above would be the next matchup. If we follow the rating logic we would have next:
NSP win and go to 10pts (5+5)
GoM get 2nd and go to 8pts (5+3)
DR lose and get to 6pt (5+1)
FC win and get to 8pts (3+5)
ET get 2nd and go to 6pts (3+3)
AR lose and go to 4pts (3+1)
DH win and go to 6pts (1+5)
EBay get second and go to 4pts (1+3)
Kain lose and go to 2pts (1+1)
The following matchups would be:
NSP/FC/GoM
DH/ET/DR
AR/Ebay/Kain
Where we would likely have:
NSP win and go to 15 (10+5)
FC get 2nd and go to 11 (8+3)
GoM lose and go to 9 (8+1)
DH win and go to 11 (6+5)
ET get 2nd and go to 9 (6+3)
DR lose and go to 7 (6+1)
AR win and go to 9 (4+5)
EBay get 2nd and go to 7 (4+3)
Kain lose and go to 3 (2+1)
Making the next matchups:
NSP/FC/DH
GoM/ET/AR
DR/EBay/Kain
And so on…
At this model, only servers that win at the ‘tier 2’ of the league, will actually get matchup with the top ones… So the chances that DR/ET/AR/EBay/Kain ever face NSP/FC are none very slim (DR get matched with NSP at second week)… This model would be a pain for FC because they would face NSP over and over for most, if not for all weeks.
I love the downed/rally system, it would be considerably more boring without it.
My only issue is that a single death rallies everyone who hit them – it should only rally one. One death, one rally.
At least this one gave a actually better idea than just everyone saying “OMGF rally sux, QQ, shouldn’t exist, we no need nubs rallybots”
Go anywhere lower than T2 and you won’t face queues…. Simple as that…
BTW, I find it funny that HoD is getting stacked again, because last season HoD was stacked aswell… I think the bandwagoneers liked it and now are comming back for more.

WoW. Ajax is on HoD? I gotta transfer over there too…
Its a dice roll with the server ratings rating that determine the server positions in the ladder.
Servers that after the rolls get ranked at 1,4,7,10,13,16,19,22 get to be green.
Servers that after the rolls get ranked at 2,5,8,11,14,17,20,23 get to be blue.
Servers that after the rolls get ranked at 3,6,9,12,15,18,21,24 get to be red.
You’re trying to copy EBay, or people are really flooding your server?

If you are a NA guild looking for a server where you are not going to be just another one among the crowd, you should look no further. With the loss of our big NA guilds, anyone willing to step up on NA prime will make a huge difference…
Also keep in mind that your work won’t go waste when you go sleep, as we have a reasonable night crew for a bronze league server.
60k point differential makes that swap unlikely but certainly not impossible.
If SF get matched with the dying DH, they are likely to gain a lot of rating…
And if NSP get matched with HoD, they are likely to lose rating (HoD is a powerhouse atm)
You would be amazed of how this difference could vanish with ease just with a bad dice roll.
