BTW, i’m at Eternal Battleground, dueling random peeps… Since I didn’t fought any Yak’s on fight club yesterday (there was none during my stay) I picked up some to fight… I’ll be around until the reset.

To the [DAOC] Human Thief that finished me (you don’t finish people in duels, everyone know that): I guess you didn’t wanted to admit your defeat and decided to jump on me when i was getting ready to duel the [FoW] Charr Guardian, eh? Not very classy…

To the [DAOC] Asura Warrior with the 1700hp/s (FASTCAR i think its called): If you didn’t wanted to do a serious fight, don’t bother coming mock other people… I was there for duels, until you decided to call me for a fight just to keep showing how awesome your hp regen is… Also, that “Shake it Off” you used on the [FoW] thief while we (me and the thief) were fighting wasn’t classy. If you don’t want to fight, don’t spoil other’s.

To the guildless SF warrior that jumped on the thief I was fighting against, you got what you deserved… Next time, don’t jump on other people’s fight.

2. You are not coordinating multi map efforts

3. Everyone is using there own comms

4. Your pugs aren’t trained to stack / buff / field / etc

5. Your golem strikes were not organized and drivers died to cannon fire instead of rotating out 3s (golem shield)

6. Your roamers failed to prep keeps for strikes , ie destroying cannons / oils

7. Your roamers failed to keep waypoints contested during attacks , allowing for instant reinforcements

8. Your omega drivers stacked under oils.

That being said. Some of your groups have operated as a team. So those getting rolled all over the place might want to man up and talk to the commanders who made something happen.

I will want to see your superior tactics work against vastly superior numbers like Stormbluff Isle and Fort Aspenwood (The difference between their population and yours, must be the same as yours and ours)… Then I’ll accept defeat by superior tactics and not by superior numbers.

If you truly had gone ET-Old School, you would have been holding NE tower in your BL. And own nothing else on the map.

He said he channeled is inner [Mend]. I don’t recall Flappybob ever bunkering on ETBL… At least while I was on Mend, it was always in a tower elsewhere (Bluelake, Redbriar or Langor, mostly).

Or maybe if NSP just lay down their weapons and try to lose so Kaineng get frustrated and stuck on the silver league…

I still think that the only server that will suffer the so terrible consequences of being in the silver league is NSP, since it’s being FORCED on the Silver League by Kaineng tanking.

From the current ppt and ranks as well as the win rate of the last few weeks, i’d say the bronze league is gonna be pretty close to. IMAO currently the most favored server to win would be HoD, followed probably by SF, then ET, kittenaineng is probably the wild card here but with their current ppt in their matchup i wouldn’t count on them being a contender.

I heard Kaineng is doing a very good tanking job… When the change of the leagues were announced (being divided in 3 instead of 2), Kaineng had ~1400 rating (Rank #13, top of old silver) while NSP was still sitting at ~1200.

At week 38, Kaineng was still playing serious, and was able to keep up with EBay even being dominated by Maguuma, granting a small positive rating. Then Kain got roflstomped by SBI, but didn’t even bothered in try to keep up with Yak’s Bend, since they wanted to drop, and that matchup was a good chance for them doing that. Next Kaineng got a fight against HoD and Devona (#15/#18/#24 mind you) where Kaineng did a very pathetic start (HoD was completely dominating the match) in order to lose rating by not being able to roflstomp such low ranked server (even tho Kaineng won this week).

I may be wrong, but it look to me that Kaineng lost all this rating on purpose in order to be able to dominate the Bronze league… If it was NSP, I’m sure we would have more chances, but since Kain is rank 13-14 material, the only hope is that Kaineng is actually bleeding out and not tanking.

But we’ll see…

The top few servers in silver and bronze leagues are on the opposite side of the same situation, as are the bottom 3 servers in gold league. They have only a couple suitable opponents, and 5+ servers they will have boring matches with.

The only servers that might come out of this with better matches are the top of gold league, and the bottom of bronze league. And that is only because there are simply no servers above and below them. It’s impossible for Anvil Rock to get anything worse than what is currently possible, because every other server is above them. The league system simply can’t make it worse for them.

AR gets the rid of the small chance of facing a server above rank 16, and BG/SoR/JQ get rid of the small chance to face a server below rank 6. In fact, the chance of this is so small, that it has not actually happened with the current system. The last match AR had that involved a server above 16, was when AR itself was 15. BG has not faced a server below rank 6 in over a year, and they were rank 7 when they did so. Even JQ and SoR’s matches with servers below r6 are very rare, with only 4 occurrences all year.

I’m certainly happy that we won’t see the landslide wins as bad as this week’s, but I don’t consider the league’s forced and guaranteed matches against SBI and FA to be any type of improvement for us.

You speak like every match will be like the top server versus the bottom ones the whole 7 weeks… The top server can’t be on all matchups the whole league.

Only the servers involved on the silver league are susceptible to getting bad matches more often, and only because of the server transfers that happened recently, and the rankings couldn’t get stable… We’re not saying that gold and bronze will not have unbalances, but they will be more unlikely than they are now.

We know that not all the matchups will be like that… But like I said, we won’t be getting servers like IoJ/YB/CD/BP for the next 7 weeks. Which is pretty much a relief… Even if I have to face HoD or SF (Which are bigger than ET).

This week is an outlier even for the randomization system. In the current system you usually get at least one team right around your rank. And often get even a decent compelling match.

When leagues start the top three servers will destroy 4-6, and in Silver tier, the top 2 servers seem poised to easily win all matchups except against each other.

I’m not familiar with the Bronze servers that much, but I can’t imagine that 16 or 17 vs 24 is going to be more fair than what you guys usually get either, not counting this admittedly terrible matchup here.

The situation for gold league will be basically the same as it is… No one can compete against the JQ/SoR/BG trio. And the servers that usually get bumbed there (TC mostly) just get utterly destroyed.

The Silver league will be the one that will face most imbalances, because the servers that got pumped by the recent fall of Dragonbrand are on this league. SBI and FA are likely to be the indisputed winners of the league, however, there will be balanced matchups between DB/YB/IoJ/BP/CD/Kain or NSP, and they will be more frequently (as you won’t fight the bronze league servers).

The same thing will happen on Bronze League. HoD and NSP or Kain will be the top dogs. There are some imbalances since GoM/AR/DR are almost dead servers, but when they are fighting with other bronze league servers (ET/SF/FC/DH) they still put up a fight, differently than when we get a silver league server on the matchup.

Belive it or not, the matchups on the leagues will be more balanced than it currently is. You maybe find that it will not because having a bronze league server on your matchups doesn’t really make difference (since they can’t put up a real fight), but that’s the truth.

I have my doubts how long that serious mindset is really going to last, because there is going to be even more imabalance in leagues than we have now in the random system. I see you guys are trying to troll us and everything, trying to lure SF and ET back to WvW but in case you haven’t noticed, there isn’t a reason for us to come in this week. I’m not being rude or trying to mess with anyone, there just isn’t any reason for us to play this week. Meanwhile, you guys keep saying how tough you are and how much we suck, etc, etc, yet complain about a lack of action. Congratulations! SF and ET have been defeated! But since the two ‘big, bad guys’ are out, who else do you have left to fight or blame? Well, I think you should take a look in the mirror.

I always have loved this mentality of people thinking SF and ET are hardcore PvP or WvW servers when at heart, we’re actually PvE. While you’re running around thinking you’re tough stuff, we’re putting our time into things we haven’t done yet, like map completion or dungeon running. We aren’t wasting our time, unlike you.

With Blood and Madness up, I wonder what Yak’s Bend will do on WvW now… It will become a complete wasteland. We can see for the Blue WPs on ET and SF borderlands that even the ‘die-hard’ players already moved out…

Eredon totally abandoned EB this week… You might see some random newcomers running unto the Yak’s Bend spawn campers now and then, but you’ll hardly see any real effort comming from there…

Keep in mind, we cannot prevent our trolls/griefers or fairweather players to do stupid stuff. Most of the people who do play WvW (guilds, roamers, etc) have agreed to not camp spawn during ANY match up. This spawn camping happens in EVERY matchup when one side is so lopsided.

So, is [pro] a “trolls/griefers or fairweather” guild? Because they are the ones that have been camping ET spawn on EB.

I belive it’s some bad Karma… Last matchup we were red, we got matched against Kaineng(14) and HoD(18)… Now we’re facing Yak’s Bend(10) and SF(19).

Did you consider that maybe you are being hit as retaliation for constantly hitting Golanta and Klovan? ET spends far more time in those areas and in ARBL than they do on SMC or HoD. WHich would explain the nearly 60k gap between first and second.

Sorry, but HoD spend much more time than us on your borderland (Right now they have your garrison and almost all towers of it)… Maybe if you actually defend it instead of attacking the blue side of EB, the gap wouldn’t be 60k.

I run perplexity runes on my engie but out of 8 level 80 toons he is essentially my only condition toon (still working on my necro’s build). As an engie he pumps out over 2,200 watts of condition damage. It works well on those ET/AR zergs and dropping a kit on a flame ram while defending a tower works wonders. I can just hear them screaming “I’m melting….I’m melting!” Music to my ears. It helped when I picked up that Ascended Dire pistol a couple of nights back. Just need one more for the pair so if either ET or AR would oblige?

AR zerg? Wow, that’s mythical! I hope to see one someday.
