Hey ET! That was some fantastic hacking just now to get into Sunny…with the gates still up. I guess I should have figured if you all couldn’t beat us previously with skill and talent you’d have to resort to using the mesmer hacks to get into buildings that still had gates up. Well done.

Things been getting fishy lately on all sides… Like the NSP thief that kept glitching inside Durios tower (while gates were still up) and the GoM guy that could hit anywhere inside langor tower with an AC near the wall (under the cannon place).

However there isn’t much reason to come put taunts like that here on the forums (since you cannot post acusations or you will get a Badge of Infraction) unless you want to start some forum warrioring. Unfortunely, all servers have to deal with a few people that can’t play fair…

I’d rather attack a server which I can fight even than fight the server that only steamroll over with big numbers…

And THAT made me super lose respect for your strategm. Basically “I’d rather play for 2nd while NSP gets free points for being uncontested.” We’ll usually go for the 1st place server any time we can so they don’t run away with points but its pretty hard constantly having to be on the defense against both servers while you fight over our points. I’ve never even seen 1 major attack on both of the other servers against each other today except the once I saw ET take over NSP’s south towers and camps, but that was it. Other than that there’s been a literal tug of war for our lands.

1st – That’s MY (and as far as I know only mine) vision about what to do this week… I want ET to grow up in ranks, so we have to gain rating and deny rating from the oposition.

2nd – Let’s take a look at the rankings… Hey look, ET is #21 and GoM is #20. Sound reasonable that taking points from the server directly on our front is better than just try to steal points from NSP and pray to GoM don’t take anything, no? After all, when I take a GoM tower/keep, ET go up and GoM go down, as I stated that is my objective this week.

3rd – Like roosta said, we are attacking you while we defend against NSP. I didn’t saw your stuff becoming blue while our are becoming red… That’s because we’re driving NSP out (just like we did last night sending’em back to your borderland). So it’s not like we’re ignoring/being ignored by NSP.

And finally, don’t hate me just because I decided to focus you. We both know NSP can simply take everything with superior numbers and this is a screwed matchup… So there is little reason to go all rage on this.

Has some fun today playing “Lone Defender of Golanta Mill”… Had some fun fights before losing it to a bigger group.

Then all the defenses on our side of EB while outmanned… Those were awesome. I thought we would lose everything since the people that were killing camp flippers on ET BL were more worried about retaking the camps than defend our fully upgraded towers on EB (yes, that’s a criticism to you peeps who don’t leave ET BL for nothing) and we were struggling to hold our ground against a endless horde of NSP on QL and the Keep and then GoM “oportunists” that showed up on QL while NSP was at DG…

Yeah, ET is kind of strange. They have their small man roaming groups, but everyone else on the server seems to all go to the same zone and stick in the same zerg.

Also we usually have less people flipping camps than most other servers. I dunno, but I think our roamers are only out there for fights and not for the objectives.

But who I am to tell’em what to do, eh?

My money’s on FC…

If GoM is the same GoM i faced before going on vacation, I predict that ET will never have more than 2 supply camps at the same time.

Jeknar, I have to agree with Blodeuyn. This is a game and it is meant to be fun. If people want transfer to find fun let them go.

It does suck to have people leave your server and it can create a chain reaction of server transfers. There’s nothing anybody can do about it.

Full Disclosure: I transferred off ET when I wasn’t having fun. I came back for the same reason. I find the best way to have fun is to have a good group of friends. Focus on that and leave everything else aside.

Winning != fun (for some people it does though)

Tsc… Fine… I do hold a lot of grudge against people that leave the servers to rot. For me, that’s like leaving a team that actually need you. And that’s the major reason of why I spit so much in people that leave servers when they are on downfall. That sentiment got even more strong when the people fled from ET for HoD because they were tired of losing fighting SF, and that’s somenthing I’m likely never going to leave behind.

And I never said my concept of fun was winning… I would never ever leave Blackgate for Eredon if that was my vision. I wanted the challenge of help a server from the bottom to rise. Its a hard thing to acomplish, take time, and really need the cooperation of everyone. If people just leave the sinking boat, the ones that wanted the server to rise will simply have their hopes crushed as they cannot do everything by themselves (even more with those screwed matchups we’re getting now)… And yes, I really thought about leaving ET when KWBH, Agg and FoE left simply because I was stuck alone again.

You can’t blame me for throwing jabs on the people leaving DR. I have an idea of how the people that wanted to make DR a strong server are feeling now, and that’s not good.

To all the folks that are leaving DR and are giving excuses to try not look bad: You are leaving the sinking ship. You ARE bad. Because when the server need you most, you just decide to leave because you think “it’s not worth it”…

Had some interesting fights today….

A female norn (don’t remember which server it was) thief showed me that 3500 armor still can be beaten by pure glass. Gotta recheck some points to fight that…

A condition necro (IoJ) only showed somenthing I already knew: conditions will eat me since I have all toughness and no vitality… Need to get all the levels from Defense Against Guards to make up for that.

Had a good fight against a Silvary D/D Elementalist (I think it was DR) at the supply camp north of bay on DR BL, but in the end I lost again…

The only bad fight was a P/S Engineer (IoJ) that fled to the zerg when IoJ was attacking DR bay south and came back with a friend instead of facing me to the end… Lame that people don’t fight a 1v1 to death, like if they had somenthing to lose besides paying 2s of repair bill…

I don’t understand all the trash talk coming from IoJ about the current matchup. DR is primarily a PvE server so with something huge like Clockwork Chaos of course you’ll dominate the scoreboard for WvW. Serious WvW has been dead the entire week, even reset night was unimpressive.

The excuse “X server is a PvE server” is overused… I recall FC saying that when they first lost #23 to ET (the week I came to ET). GoM used the same excuse when they dropped to T8 and lost (saying it was SAB fault). HoD used the same excuse when they didn’t caused the (Ho)Domination of T8 they promissed. ET also used this excuse many times…

The only servers that aren’t focused on PvE are gnashing each other for the first place (JQ/SoR/BG). Even the Tarnished Coast (which is the #4) is a PvE based server (They love Dolyak parades and RP stuff), so anything under that cannot use the excuse of “PvE based”.

PvE events dent WvW population? Yes, they definetly do… But it will happen on DR, on ET, on IoJ, on anyone down here… The only thing is that IoJ actually have more people even without the guys that are killing Scarlet minions. So let us (not only DR) stop pretending that Clockwork Chaos is the reason that we are “losing”, and try to have fun with the population imbalance we have been put against.

ET might be lowest of the low in ranks but the people that do stay obviously stay for the fights, and i guess sentimental value. pretty sure ET has lost 98% of their matchups but people that were here from day 1 or transferred 2+ months back already know theyll lose and still stay on the server dont care about losing as much.

Having outmanned always up helps to keep up the spirit of never give up… No one likes to pay repair bills for a lost cause.

So much trash on this thread… I haven’t seen somenthing like that ever since the thread when SF was moved out of T8 and roflstomped HoD/NSP…

BTW, I’ve ran alone around EB today… Not impressive, really… Most IoJ I’ve found either died on overran me with +3 people. Also died to a few DR thieves (usual) and to some Asura Mesmer with Colonel rank. No impressive fights today…

Since IoJ major force only appear when I’m sleeping, I’ll take this week off for some clockwork chaos… There is little reason to fight an enemy you won’t have a chance to defend against (simply because you are sleeping by that time).

I got overrun by a thief-trio from Devona’s today, and some crazy condition necro from FC… Then I got stuck fighting Yarr guardians..

So… This was a boring night.

Now ET is down to last… Why I’m not surprised? With the rage we see spreading all over the map chat, we can clearly see that our server lack a little of mutual respect with each other.

Anyway, I had some fun fights on EB until some stupid 3-way fight on SMC started to lag everything… Then it became boring as hell and I decided to play Durios Defense as an Omega Golem until people started to yell at me for having a Omega on a paper tower… We can’t even have fun these days…

idk man when I see the “40% condition duration” food buff I typically run I the opposite direction of them because the last thing I want is some engi or necro who spams condis despite me dodging all of his best skills and landing tons of hits, outplaying them dramatically, then still get owned just because kiting condis.

Well… My guardian have no issue fighting against condition based adversaries (except for mesmers) as it is built around receiving the conditions from my allies by “Save Yourselves” and cleanse’em passively or via skill. However, since it lack toughness, i’m somewhat Thief Food.

Like I said, I still think there is a balance between classes and builds and there is nothing that indicate I’m wrong.

I had some fun fights between Klovan and Golanta… Trying to open the tower by myself was quite challenging. Special thanks to the Norn Guardian for RegA (the one sitting on the screenshot), I got 3 rares from the loot bags you provided me before bringing your friends and making me retreat to Golanta.

I don’t think GW2 is a game where 1 build rule over all others… I’ve seen many diferent builds from the ones you listed work nicely, so I’d say GW2 is more like Rock/Paper/Scissors… One build is effective against a certain kind of oponent, but it problably will be weak against another.

You people should stop pretending that everyone around here is the same, because if they really are, why haven’t made a build to counter that yet? I’ve beaten many of the Infamous Backstab/Heartseeker thieves and Zerker Greatsword Warrior with my engineer (which isn’t condition based, as she only have 210 CD). The ones I usually don’t kill are the ones that can run away easily, or the condition mesmers/necros which are the weakness for my engineer.

It’s more a “L2P issue” than a “OP Class issue”. But I agree that people that make builds designed to face foes on 1v1 and flee when things get rough deserve to die in shame… If you can’t win a fair fight, at least die with honor! Remember, you can always respawn at your base

Sorry Kaineng but you can say whatever you want, your presence here is a complete imbalance… And I’d rather have a balanced match with our small scale (from lower tiers) than “having the chance of learning how high tiers work”. I came from Blackgate, I know how the high tiers work and its very boring in my opinion.

Having a chance to win is actually much more fun than struggle to keep a base that you WILL lose, and because of the larger population (thus why Kain is #14 and HoD and ET are #21 and #22) this is impossible.

Its natural that people that aren’t having fun to get upset (as I am), but we know its not your fault. Gods willing, everyone will get a balanced matchup next week, so this kind of discussion about zergs don’t happen again.

Still, stop zerging our stuff so we can actually have a fun fighting defending
