Sadly you can’t do anything about that and ANET doesn’t read the dungeon forum (or maybe once in a while). The best you can do is form your own group and start the instance, or join a guild and play with them.

There’s only a chance you can get a skin chest to choose the skin you want, it’s not guaranteed But I wonder why it still looks like the old skin (weapon you have to transmute).

Nah he’s going out of stealth to attack like every 30s (for some reason he didn’t appear for the kraits part, only at the end boss).

We did moss man at level 30 last night, and it didn’t give us many issues, no one was downed, I could see it becoming an issue for pugs though, ( unless they patched something during the night )

I was referring to the level 31 Instability where Mossman appears every 30s to kill you

Aquatic Ruins:
- Small Jellyfishes have got severely buffed. They constantly dash around dealing 2.5k damage (scale 10), now imagine when there’s 10+ of them. If Beast pulls you inside him during their dash they will still hit you and you will probably get defeated (no downed state).

Now imagine the jellyfish fight with mossman coming every 30s to kill you (lvl 31) Great fun!

Well it’s like first one there get the 1st position, so no I won’t take it seriously, coz only those that can play 24/7 can do it faster than good players that got less play time. It’ll be accurate only when more level will come out with the instability like:
Double Tag Team Two players must remain out of combat (we’ll see if it comes out with the 19 current levels or not but I doubt it)

And I think some people will already be 50 when it will come out…

On recent runs of CM 1 and 3, I noticed that Thieves and Mesmers could help avoid large tracts of mobs with Shadow Refuge.

Path 3 is the quickest one since P2 barrels glitch has been fixed. You can check some video or http://gw2dungeons.net/ to get some basic knowledge of this path. If you have a thief in your group, you can skip most of the trash mobs with stealth and get them perma blind if you wanna kill them (Black Powder), but you need a decent thief for that ^^.

This. Also with a 5 man organised group, it’s faceroll, so soloing / duoing bring some challenges at least.

All 4 paths share the same boss, namely Giganticus Lupicus.
The easiest paths in my opinion are path 2 and 3 (path 1 is easy as well but includes a really long skip that can block a lot of pugs, and if you wipe after that skip (at lupicus for example) you will have to do it again since there’s no waypoint between the skip and Lupicus.

About average time per path, hm I don’t know since I didn’t pug arah since a long time, but a clean fast run is like under 20min for path 1/2/3.

For advice, I’d suggest you to first take a look at http://gw2dungeons.net/
It can give you a good theorical knowledge of each path. And if you want videos, you should take a look at Strife’s channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/strife025/videos

Some video may be outdated but you’ll have to basic tactics for each boss.

You only gain the damage bonus against the specific mobs (inquest pot = inquest + golem). For Subject Alpha what you need is a potion of undead slaying.

For the build, I suggest you to use a DPS build based on reflect: http://tinyurl.com/mesmer-dps-build
This is the DPS build you want to use. It allows you to have decent personnal DPS without having to rely too much on your phantasm since they die so fast. You can use GS when you have to range (like the imbued shaman and archdiviner for example), but melee DPS is the best DPS in the game.

You can also change the master trait in dueling and take Deceptive Evasion or Duelist Discipline or even Blurred Inscription instead of Phantasmal Fury if needed.

As for utility skills, you will almost always have Feedback and at least one mantra (for the dmg bonus per readied mantra, usually Mantra of Concentration or Mantra of Resolve). You can also take the healing Mantra or Ether Feast if you prefer. The last utility skill can either be Null Field if you need condition removal, Blink to skip trash mobs, Signet of Inspiration to double your allies boons, Portal when you need it or another mantra. You can also use Illusion of Life for the Ascallon fractal for example at the last area. The elite will almost always be TimeWarp

This is the most common build people run in fractals
If you can afford a pistol….take also that….switch it with greatsword or focus depending on situation if its needed.

We can’t really rely on the phantasm since they die so fast, so that build is not optimal. You should go with that one which will improve your personal DPS: http://tinyurl.com/mesmer-dps-build

Unfortunately the change doesn’t apply to items that have already been acquired. Ultimately that’s what I wanted but there was a pretty severe technical limitation on this, so we thought it would be better to make the newly items work this way rather than postpone the conversion any longer.

Also, at higher Fractal levels the weapon skins become more common, and also start dropping in a container that lets you pick the one you want.

Any chance you can make a mf recipe that uses old skins to get a container ? Just a suggestion I was told to post on here.

Yeah or being able to change them with a new npc (trade the weapon for the skin)

And for Dub, frenchies rock and our language isn’t that hard, we do not have declension like in german, just so many grammatical exceptions that need their own rules…

I don’t think guilds like rT / HC / DnT / LoD will just died like that, sure some players may go inactive for sometime but we will still be around

Yeah you had a good trait distribution Also for dueling you should change phantasmal fury to deceptive evasion according to the situation (to keep clones up and keep the compounding power bonus).

And for the sigil, you’d need one set with stacking sigil (that means 2 stacks per kill) if there’s plenty of trash mobs to stack perception, or sigil of accuracy on MH sword and for your off hand weapon you’d need sigil of the night for night dungeons or sigil or force.

A guild group of 2 people get to the last boss, kick everyone else and then sell the path completion for 20g a person.

How do you know any of those teams kicked anyone? Since people can easily duo arah p2 in 20-30 minutes I would be surprised if ANY of those people kicked pugs. Perhaps before you make an accusation you should have some evidence, no?

If two people can duo the supposedly hardest content in the game then this game has much bigger issues.

Also I have all the evidence I need since it’s happened to me before.

There is a large number of legitimate players who can duo this content.

Again, just because you (not you specifically but the general usage) can’t duo it, doesn’t mean there aren’t much more skilled players out there. Honestly it doesn’t take that much work.

People like Brazil, strifey (not recently, obviously), and nike! have done the calculations/videos/tutorials to minimize the work. The rest is just having patience to learn/understand the fights and the skill to not make a mistake.

Just because it’s too hard for you doesn’t mean it’s not easy to somebody else.

They can, and it does. Also, I wouldn’t consider this the hardest content in the game.

I know that, but I used “a few players” because I was comparing to the GW2 player base, also if you would have checked my YT channel (which is in my signature) you would’ve known that I can duo Lupicus

And most of the p2 seller I joined (to check if lupicus was killed) didn’t actually kill it.

If you’re in a guild group or ogranized group that plays together regularly, I think having 1 ele or 1 thief would be fine, along with a mesmer and guard.

If you’re pugging, your best bet is to go guardian or warrior. You can go mesmer, but honestly I think 2 mesmers is worse than 2 guards or 2 wars. (in most situations)

Well I did some FotM 40+ with 2 mesmers and it went just fine, but it was with an organised group (or semi organised) ^^’. So yeah with pugs, your best bet is guardian or warrior.

I may try it also when I have time, it sounds kinda fun :P but it’ll take forever as a mesmer

Depends if you’re playing solo, with pugs or with an organised group.

Solo: assassin is better than berserker
Pugs: i’d say assassin
Organised group: berserker since you’ll have ~100% fury uptime + banner of discipline.
