Well it’s 5 because it is Path 1, 2, 3, 4 and story mode. Maybe they bugged it when they changed Arah Story to be a personal story instance, that can be done solo.
Here’s my 2 cents. For a tournament like that which is done for fun, I’d have each player register individually and then according to the number of players registered, we’d have teams chosen randomly and it would be 5 / 4 / 3 man. Obviously, we would need to have a list of the people who can stream to have 1 streamer per team and maybe having some seeds so players from known guilds won’t be with each other.
The dungeon mesmer build on metabattle is up to date yeah. It’s still the build to go for 5 man group. For solo / low manning, condition might be better now but I didn’t do any calculations regarding that.
That’s pretty much the trait setup that I was thinking of. For the reflect build I’d maybe include Illusianory Inspiration. It can be useful for some situations imo
a bug that slows the dps. People just prefer to exploit it even more with the wall exploit. I do zis boss with my guild legit with no wipes but it looks crap and waste of dps because we need to sacrifice other skills just to reflect/block it.
Well I don’t see how it is a DPS loss as you have one more attack you can reflect to him. Also a guardian always have Bane Signet on his bar (yes even for Lupi), so you don’t really have a DPS loss on the guard. If you want a legit one shot, just play with a mesmer.

Also if we would redo it it would be maybe max 5s slower for the fights in general.
I just gave my opinion to open the discussion. Also I remember asking Nike about it for the Trio tournament and he said it wasn’t allowed, pointing out that rule with disabling a boss.
How did you do the 2 rifflemen after the first champion? Because I see the 2nd ele outside, if he did meteor shower from outside (like Austin and Goku’s duo) I’m afraid it’s unrestricted then because riflemen can’t attack you at all from that point. From what I understand everything allowed only applies to solo and duos
I just watched notriggers solo, the change honestly doesnt look that bad…in a group with a guard mez ele and or thief you can easily chain reflects and even without reflects you have enough dodges with vigor or energy sigils or skills (thief signet) to get through it fine.
But solos on the other hand…thief seems ok, just a little harder, but on other classes i dont think it will be as easy.
Some guildies did solo Lupi yesterday on war/ele/guard to try it out, and except the fact that it’s a bit more challenging, you can still do it pretty easily if you know what you’re doing.
First, I’d recommend that if this is truly a bug, it be posted in detail in the Bug Forums.
However, having been shown it, I’ll see if the QA Team has also noted the thread and we may be able to give you an update in the next few days.
Can you fix one shotting? PLEASE? Every pug group is running at least 1 guardian who is one shotting. After last patch im not able to stop it.
I totally agree with that, fix the wall on wall trick! Also if you could fix the phase 3 Necrid Trap so it’s reverted to what it previously was (like 2/3 patches ago). I also don’t mind if the Necrid Bolt attack stays this way as it makes Lupi a bit more challenging.
Less important and not my question but still interesting: why killing last boss of hotw p3 NOT in water is, ehm, legit?
Pulling the boss to be able to fight him above water is a safer way to kill it (at least for 3 man). In a 5 man group, it would be a waste of time since you have to first pull him and wait until he will los. Also for the spot you saw in the tournament, if the pull isn’t done properly, it will be effectively above water and just kitten the team, so you take a huge risk by pulling the boss to that spot.
The DnT Trio Tournament comes to an end with our 2 teams finishing 1st and 3rd (the best we could get since we faced each other in the semi finals)! Congratz to everyone it was a fun week end.
For TA up & fwd, the paht bugs out if you choose another option that starting the path when talking to Morrigu at first, then after choosing the 2nd or 3rd option, selecting the option to start the path.
Oh, I see that the brackets got reshuffled. Its definitely better than what it was before, can’t wait to take on DnT first round :-D. Not going to bet though.
Unfortunately a team has informed me there is a good chance that they won’t be there so I had to move them to the bottom seed so the highest seed possible could get a bye in case there is a bye.
Well RNG is RNG, you could’ve kept the seeding as they were before imo. Or change only IF the team drops out.
Its just in the rules to cover all bases. Not sure who decided on mentioning jumping and turning though.
I understand, but can we either agree to remove it, or to follow it? I prefer to remove it since it does not affect the run.
As minor as it is, its still a rule, which appearently doesnt apply anymore.
As far as I know, this rule was copy/paste from the old ruleset from gwscr, I think it didn’t get changed because no one paid attention to it.
