Nope. When the fire elemental appears I get a slight but noticable drop in framerate.
But the dust cloud of the Centaur catapults is THE ONLY graphic effect in the ENTIRE game that really drops the framerate down to a stutter. Massive zergs and all the graphic effects are nothing compared to ONE Centaur catapult hit.
Stuck at 11 maps, know exactly which ones I have to do but THEY DON’T TURN UP! So at least for me this would not help much. But still a definite +1 from me.

In another thread I saw someone post that they had seen a dev comment that you need to tag a champ Twisted for the invasion credit to work. If that’s so, it should be much more widely broadcast. ……

I agree with you completely. If they had made a prompt that told you which maps you were missing it would make this achievement marginally more acceptable, but the combined fact that sometimes events fail to register, that it takes 13 hours minimum to complete, that the map rotation is completely random… This achievement is just absolutely disgusting.
What happened to giving some leeway with the living story achievements? Cutthroat politics didn’t require every single achievement done to “complete” it. The Queen’s Gauntlet didn’t either. I don’t see what’s wrong with allowing 10/13 map invasions attended to finish this achievement.
I completely agree. Particularly the random map rotation is the WORST PIECE OF kitten IDEA in this event. 11 hours and NO Mount Maelstrom and Frostgorge has not been on AT ALL since I started doing invasions. Yes, SEVERAL days and NO Frostgorge. But Fireheart, Harathi and Field of Ruin are up several times a day.
How many people in here confuse “complex” with “complicated”?
Actually the best solution is probably to make her invuln for 60 seconds allowing everyone to get to her.

You are right it’s not a bug. Just a bullkitten inconsistent deviation from how crafting works in the rest of the game.
don’t work for neither my level 400 tailor character nor my level 400 armorsmith character.
My armorsmith 400 character has created 3 of those insignia but they don’t show up in the “discovery” tab and I you can’t drag them from the inventory into the crafting components fields.

You can definitely get far with the “overdue emissary” quest but what happens when your level 10 character is suddenly attacked by a level 10 veteran taskmaster stacking 7 confusion on you?
And what about level 10 Queen’s champions against a genuine level 10 character? I know that I had lots of trouble with a downleveled level 80 ele with equipment that has 3 attribute increases which you don’t have at level 10. So a level 10 would have +4 to vitality and not +4 to vitality and power and condition damage per item!
I really hope this is getting fixed soon. Phoenix armor is amazing, but why, oh why does it go through my character’s legs? -_- Even 1 lvl white armor doesn’t have this issue.
Also the lvl 1 armor wasn’t sold separately for 10 Euros.
I need a lot more info. How many players were in the instance? Was the Eye attacking while invulnerable, or waiting at the center? Was it just “invulnerable” (usually meaning the critter thinks it’s being attacked from a spot it can’t reach) or did it have the “Determined” buff?

After getting separated by the mirror I reached Trahearne eventually and I killed all the risen there but Mister Trahearne did NOT follow me (another bug?) to reach Carys who was killed by the Eye at that time.
I reached the eye, resurrected Carys and the eye didn’t move but it did attack and killed all the allies one after the other while being invulnerable.
“Determined” buff. No idea.
I also send an ingame bug report with screenshot. It should tell you if the buff was on or not.

The skirt for female Human also is clipping pretty kitten the tights .
And it doesn’t matter which body type you choose. They ALL clip while standing still.
It looks like they haven’t tested that armor at all on female humans.
The final enemy of the mission stays invulnerable making it impossible to finish this mission. This bug is in the game since release and still not fixed, right? Pathetic.
Yep, quite often with yellow items. I’m a little supremes no one on the test servers has noticed this yet,it is quite obvious.
Forget the testing servers, the fact that this has not been noticed by the developers suggests that they don’t play their own game.

This armor has the WORST clipping issue I have seen in a long time. And people are supposed to pay REAL money for that horribly clipping armor?

To further confuse things I was 164/165 in Maguuma after the patch. I found I was missing The Serpentwind area and quickly went to discover it. I’m still 164/165.
I think I’m just gonna give up worrying about it for now and assure it’s got layers of bugs that need sorting through.
That is still not fixed. Nine month later. I am stuck at 175/176 in the “Ascalon Explorer” and then I discovered “Lamia Mire”, “Highden Caves” and “Flameroot Caverns”. Even though I have 100% map completion.
So did the game tell me I discovered something I already had discovered? Or is the counter broken?
Edit: It the first one. I already had all three areas discovered and yet it was displayed as not discovered. I found the last one.

You can’t defend yourself in court with “If I had known he has a weak heart I wouldn’t have jumped out of a bush screaming ‘boo’.”. The fact that you DON’T know that is the reason you should not have jumped out of the bush.
However, even while considering those players (whose numbers were modest) first, we also should look at the removal of 10,000 (!) exploiters, cheaters, and botters and remember that the game is better for a higher level of diligence against those who breach the User Agreement.
The ONLY reason in my view for a permanent account ban is anything that makes ANOTHER player loose items or characters. Apart from that there is nothing that warrants a permanent ban.
You could deactivate mining for resource node hoppers or chat for people posting racist comments.
Because a permanent ban means you take away REAL money from people and I am sure there are people getting wrongly accused and permanently banned and they DON’T get there accounts reactivated because of another of your errors or because of your disheartening and disgusting email.
Also the fact that someone on reddit HAD to inform “Better Business Bureau” BEFORE ANet or you replied is extremely worrying.

That’s the level of transparency you have in your rules. BTW it was “ArenaNetSupportTeam” that suggested on Reddit to break that rule.
I can’t go into details, but there were a tiny number of accounts that had false positives for cheating/hacking caused by a bug in the puzzle. We’re fixing that bug (if it hasn’t been fixed already) and reinstating the accounts that were incorrectly banned.
That’s weird because the emails state:
“This decision has been thoroughly reviewed by our team, and we maintain absolute confidence in our conclusion.”
So how can that be:
a) NOONE looks at the decision at all. It is completely automatic. And you LIE to your customers.
b) The support team is a useless bunch of incompetents.
c) You DID not “thoroughly” looked into it. Just a half a second long glance. Which would mean you again LIE to your customers.
I’d like an explanation for how your detection code that you have “complete confidence” about, so much in fact that you outright refuse to even “accept an appeal” stating that the account is not “eligible for reactivation under any circumstances.” led to you reactivating accounts!

The absolute minimum is a public apology on this forums.

Norn is by far the better looking. The only thing preventing me to play one is how frigging tall they are and the running animation.
The smallest height of a female norn is only a little bit taller than the tallest female human. The running animation is much better with that height too, obviously.
….Dungeon content like this simply doesn’t work as well with one player, as the mechanics are clearly designed for a party of 5. reworking and retuning each dungeon that comes out so that single player people can play through it (Despite the game being an MMO, one that specializes in player groups) would be an unnecessarily large use of arenanet’s time.

Two to maybe 3 hours max for all dungeons together, not each! The only dungeons which would take longer are the ones where you have to press two buttons at the same time.
All they have to do is: Replace “bullkitten health and defense and damage enemies” with normal “found in the rest of the game enemies” and you could probably solo most dungeons already.
There are/were plans (announced back in January) to add additional rewards to achievements and rewards based on total points. Since recent achievements rewards items, maybe that’s as far as they’re going to take it now.
We’re still working on a system that rewards bonuses and rewards for achieving various thresholds of achievement points on your account. More news on this soon!
That would punish new players that missed out on “Living Story” achievements.

Bug. When I used a karma booster the jugs of liquid karma gave more karma. Unless they changed it since then.
Got the same bug today. Last week got 60 tokens with each of my 4 characters even if I ran the same path on the same day. Today I am missing 60 tokens.
3 months and still not fixed.

….regarding Dust Devil , personally I see no reason for having a slow moving blind, the condition is supposed to be used actively like blinding flash but the long travel time of dust devil basically remove the usefulness of blind during a fight.
Maybe increase the dmg? Add cripple ?
Doesn’t Dust Devil blind EVERYONE it hits with no limits?
In the last few days I pretty much had this bug everyday for some of my characters. But switching characters or restarting the game usually fixed it but not today. Today ALL my characters are effected and I already restarted the game 4 times without any changes.
Re-equiping the weapon works for me too. But it is still bugged.

There’s way too many ranks in WvW and I don’t like to pve grind in pvp.
May I please only have to assist in taking Stonemist castle once for the legendary title in WvW, and all the armor and weapons skins that may eventually come later down the line with this achievement?

I’m fine with that. In fact I go a step further by saying you should have access to all the achievements in the game without EVER having to leave PvP areas.

Perfect, now servers can log in a huge zerg, and then have a large number of people guest on an opposing teams server, thus locking the map up so they can just take over everything with little opposition. Beautiful plan.

1. Do we know they were nomadic? Or that they didn’t build structures? Nothing in the ecology says that.
2. being nomadic doesn’t mean land isn’t yours. it just means you choose to use it differently.
3. Nothing says the land was controlled by the humans longer than the charr. Your own post on this page equates them with the charr having the edge if you get nit picky by 100 years.
4. the war really was about taking their land back. And subduing their most threatening foe. before humans came, charr either killed or dominated their foes within their own borders.

The forgottens, probably first rulers of the land, moved to the world in 1769 BE. They inhabited Ascalon for years, probably centuries, so the most time charrs could spend there is also 1500-1600 years, if they took it 4-5 minutes after the forgottens moved in..

I’ve got the same problems.
Allowing guesting for WvW would give too much opportunity for sabotage, whether it is reporting on zerg positioning, or being a purposefully bad leader, or any other number of things people will invent that I cannot think of right now.
Hide all other players from guest and change the faction colors on the map from red, green, blue to gray. No interaction between guests and other players while in WvW. There a solution to your ridiculous problem. Took me all of 10 seconds to come up with too.
I would really like it if ANet devs would explain the thought process behind these changes. There were meetings about the changes and what they do, right? What are the reasons that lead the developers to thinking that two shooting characters is “more entertaining”?

after fights like this, all players will say" Man I really “worked” for that reward chest" not like beating a world boss in 5 min.
You can dodge more than twice in Vindictus before your stamina is empty. Stamina recharges much faster and one character can block attacks including some dragon attacks.
As long as GW2 limits the players to two dodges and has ridiculous recharge times on block skills, will fights like that be impossible to implement.
You can also repair armor in combat for almost no costs at all in Vindictus.
For me the lag started yesterday and makes the game currently unplayable. My Warrior is running around Diessa Plateau and as far as I can tell there is no one near her but still activating skills are delayed.
We had them in story before launch, but what we found is that we couldn’t strike a balance between the amount we give for completing story mode, and the difficult difference. Our feedback was that rather than face the challenge of Explorable dungeons, high skill groups would just afk faceroll the much easier story mode content for the guaranteed smaller token amount. We tried several things, but couldn’t strike the balance, so we removed tokens from story mode as a reward and put them into explorable mode only as a reward.
kittening hell. All you have to do is take a good group and time every dungeon in story and explorer mode. After that you define the amount of tokens per hour or day or week good players should be able to get in story mode or in explorer mode and scale the rewards accordingly.
How could you not find that solution?
Just killed a veteran cave spider in the north east of Wayfarer Foothills. Then I killed a normal spider and after that I killed the three spawned hatchling from the veteran I killed. And then the veteran cave spider respawned. That was definitely NOT 95 seconds between death and respawn. Even guardians deal enough damage to kill one normal spider and three hatchlings within 30 seconds.
In fact I just checked my hammer guardian kills a veteran cave spider in 30 seconds.

Which has a 40 seconds recharge while “Poison Dart Volley” has 10 seconds.
I get the impression that Anets idea of good game design is: “Here is a challenge, now beat it how WE want you to beat it.” while I think that “Here is a challenge, beat it however you like” is a much better design approach.

I just did Frozen Maw on my lvl. 8 necromancer with a lot of other players and got an “Eternal Ice” from the chest which requires lvl. 80.
Is that a bug or working as intended? I also got a lvl. 39 spear.

it was working quite fine up to a few hours ago (when I logged off)… at least with staff (last dagger test was yesterday and last scepter test a week ago… all after the last patch… and all working)
