Wait…it has CHAMPION in it’s name and doesn’t give a Champ Loot Box? I thought they had added that feature to all Champions several weeks ago.
It is definitely not all champions or even necessarily all legendaries. There are a bunch of them in the AC and CM story mode which are the same old lootless champion.
Well they give you titles that you can dedicate which can add up to give you points.
There are titles for completing it, completing with all bonuses and then again for hard mode. Hard mode is unlocked for a campaign after you finish normal mode.
I have done this a few times and it worked for me. Did you pick the right appearance? That is the soulbound appearance instead of the white items appearance?
Yes, that’s what I did and it even still has the same icon for it, just the actual item appearance is wrong. It’s so strange.
Are you checking the appearance by equipping it or with the preview? There is a bug with previewing transmuted items directly from your inventory where it shows as the original item. You can link the item in chat and preview it from the chat for the correct appearance as a workaround.
It happens … the other night I tried to use a salvage kit on a bandit.
Why do you guys, who bought the edition many months ago expect to be entitled these new perks?
These new perks are not for you. They’re for new customers to the game.
Actually not just new customers. I’ve been thinking about getting the upgrades since launch but there was never really a compelling enough reason to get it. Now there is and that is an extra $20 for ANet or really just $10.
Personally I am against giving this skin to new players in general, regardless of what edition of the game they are buying. Seriously what happened to them being “exclusive” to Guild Wars veterans? Its bad enough that some of our weapon skins are now champion loot (and upgraded to look cooler, no less), but now they are giving away our armor too. Not cool.
Hey Arena Net; I’ve spent money in your gem store, so how about you upgrade my Hall of Monuments to fifty points? After all player loyalty clearly isn’t a factor in this any more.
You should read the previous posts. It’s the gem store skins that has been in there for ages. It’s not the HoM stuff.

There are plenty of other others things in the PvP locker with the wrong name.
If you double click on it and it ‘sticks’ to your cursor then the right thing is happening. You are now supposed to click on the thing you want to apply it to.
E) They are there. They have stuff. Why not kill them for their stuff? Now I feel like a mugger but that is a very typical RPG thing. Back in the day we used to be able to run into every house and rummage through every chest/drawer/cupboard/etc. we can get our blood soaked hands on.
Also what the two people above said. If it’s in my way then it needs to die. This includes all the boars, deers, sheeps, chicken, tuna, etc. as well.
You can just double click on it as the tooltip says. Not sure if they’ve ever had a use option. The use option is usually for consumables/containers.
That is for the literal interpretation of your post.
If you are already double clicking it then make sure you are applying it to an item with the appropriate level. Your level is irrelevant, the item itself must have the correct level requirement.
Fragmentation should not be occurring as you play. GW2 doesn’t download as you play(unlike GW1). However it is possible the defrag earlier was not able to fully defragment the file. For example in my example one of those red buggers in the way contained a system file that couldn’t be moved so my GW2.dat is still split in two fragments.
If it IS fragmenting without any GW2 updates then something or some setting in your system might be doing that. Maybe some sort of FS optimizer that is trying to move more frequently accessed data.
As for not having this issue with other apps. Most apps are not as big. In addition to that even if they are the same size most apps do not store their data as a single file.
It is a mini booster so the duration makes sense. Being bound to the first character you log into for the day doesn’t.
If the rest is just as ….. well no don’t really want the rest mainly because this has the look of heavy armor. I already have enough decent looking heavy armor, at least for human(some of the same sets look terrible on a Norn because the artist decide the legging should look like a barrel). If it was hinting more at a medium set on the other hand I would be interested. I assume a cybernetic medium would not involve another coat. -_-
They don’t really have much control over the fragmentation. GW2 calls some library code to write the data then the underlying OS handles where to put the data being written. The best they could do is reserve extra space.
You can also defrag just the Gw2.dat file if you use something like http://www.piriform.com/defraggler.
In the screenshot the bright red squares is my Gw2.dat file. The reason it got fragmented(it was in a single piece just the other day) is the two squares pointed to by the arrow. I moved the files occupying those two squares(luckily it only one two very big files, one is part of the D3 installer) to another drive and then had defraggler defrag just Gw2.dat. This only took a couple of minutes including the time it took to move the files around(about 5GB).
The reason I moved the files in those two squares to a different drive is because it’s obvious that if those weren’t there the Gw2.dat can just grow without being fragmented since there is empty space after it(the white squares). Moving to a different drive is important in that step since moving in the same drive won’t make any difference. It is not required but in a situation like that it helps to speed things up.
Just got done with one. Haven’t actually noticed much change from before. Got about the same number of champs with 10-20 people as we were getting before with “too many to count”.
If you guys were farming champs fine, how could you “barely” finish the event? Surely it must be easier now with less champs…
Unless, could it be? Challenging PvE content? An invasion that requires some form of organization to defeat?
Also, if you want farm, I heard the Crown Pavilion still has it’s events. And unlike the Gauntlet, they haven’t been nerfed.
I can see how it could result in failure. Since how you need bigger clumps of people to scale up the events to get the same number of champions that means less spreading out and clearing off events. So the events cleared/time is lowered than necessary for a success.
The bigger problem with the invasions is that there isn’t much incentive for success unless you need the ‘kill scarlet’ achievement.
Then the event is failing because people are trying to make champs spawn, because they want to farm, not complete the event. The rewards for success should be greater, to push people to want to finish it. Perhaps, more loot the faster it’s finished?
I am sure that will result in complaints about getting less stuff over things they can’t control.

Just used one of these and all it did was knock me over.
I guess the bug is that the tooltip should say “Double click for a rare chance to be taken to a random location in Tyria”.
Nobody knows. They would have to figure out how to wear two amulets at the same time first.
Platinum Edition is Prophecies + EotN not Factions.
You need the tapestry before you can dedicate. IIRC you get one when you first get to the eye then another one for each of the different groups(dwarf, norn, asura,…).
M.O.X requires owning all 3 of the campaigns.
The black moa chick is a green mini that can be crafted but it also requires all 3 campaigns.
Or simply they should implant a <<golden mob>> that spawn randomly in each area and stay there for 2-3 min
If u havent use any waypoints for 15 min u get a buff that <<offers x10 more rewards >. by killing that mob
A Norm Npc shoutcast the apperance of the <<golden mob>> and the start of the hunting game .After 10 kills it dissapears :PEdit: Or maybe it is captured across the lands , by vecious mobs /tied to Dynamic Events . And in the end transform into a beautiful princess and u fly all over Tyria with her rainbow pony !
If there is something GW2 is missing it definitely is not an NPC spamming map chat. There are some F2P games which does something like what you suggested and it is extremely cheesy and annoying.
Guys — we had some issues with karma, and we sent replacements or reimbursements to those who were impacted by that issue. This post will explain the matter and why we so generously gave you freebies.

That post needs a slight bit of clarification.
I used about 1m worth of jugs + drips right after I downloaded the patch. I’ve gotten around 400k worth in the mail. That is clearly a huge difference. The post doesn’t make it clear why there would be such a big discrepancy. Is the amount in the mail supposed to be the ‘extras’ I would have gotten if I had used them with a boost? After the patch but before the hotfix, karma was not affected by modifiers and gave 1.5x the original value. So that puts your original base value at about 1m*(2/3). The maximum karma modifiers possible can give +95% value, so we get…
1,000,000 * (2/3) * 1.95 = 1,300,000
…which leaves you 300,000 short of what you could have potentially gotten. You said that Anet sent you ~400,000 in the mail, all of which can be affected by modifiers, so we get…
400,000 * 1.95 – 300,000 = 480,000
…which means that you got ~480,000 more than you should have. That’s not something that you should be complaining about.
Actually, that’s something those of us who didn’t use our karma should be complaining about.
So basically “yes”.
That was not a complaint, more a curiosity thing. I don’t really care about my karma but I do care about being right or wrong.
You have also made a mistaken assumption on where that 1m came from.
~200 × 4500 Jugs of Liquid Karma
~200 × 400 Drops of Liquid Karma
~980,000 karma or
~1,764,000 potential (1.8 because the game knows I don’t have the karmic infusion)
If you are wondering why I rounded to 1m it is because there are some jugs and drops unaccounted for. Around 6 jugs and probably somewhere in the teens for drops, I don’t remember the exact amounts. I only remember the two were in the 200s and combined to require about 900 clicks because I was complaining to friends about the 900 clicks.
Ignoring any whatifs and potentials that is
980,000 – 477,400 (yes I remembered the amount from the mail, no this is not an excuse to ask if I remembered the other one wrong because I stare at that number every day after the daily and I’ve always kept the number of jugs above 200 when drinking them to when I need more space). This is a 502,600 gap. Since the post said ‘as close as possible’ I wasn’t expecting an exact match but not that big of a difference either.
I guess I really wasn’t clear enough so here is a second try.
Did ANet subtract out the 980k karma from the wallet then sent the 94 kegs + 1 jug + 1 vial + 1 drop? I have no idea how much karma I had after drinking the bottles after the patch since there is no reason to care(see below!).
Here is my complaint, I have several million karma and nothing to spend it on except getting my character all really really drunk.
You bump into other people who are also trying to bump into other people. Everyone else is doing their best to avoid you.
Yes – if I am crafting things for my own use or a friend
No – if I am crafting things for profit

Did it already start? Digital Deluxe upgrade is 20% off.
The only important things about the decision is that you get to see the different storylines and some choices result in significantly more difficult steps.
2 cores + 1 Mystic binding Agent + 1 Crystal + 1 Crystalline dust = 1 lodestone
I can confirm this worksWhen Mystic Binding Agent first came out, wasn’t the recipe 4 cores + 1 Mystic binding Agent + 1 Crystal + 1 Crystalline dust = 2 lodestone ??? I bought 40 binding agents because I thought it was a better deal than wine, but then it didn’t do 4 for 2. (I know it does 4 shards gives 2 cores)
i don’t know what the issue with it works now didn’t work earlier
MF occasionally has a weird issue where you have to put a specific ingredient first or there was a bit of lag and you clicked on the ingredients too quickly(before it darkened the ingredients that doesn’t match).
Well it does have slightly better loot now. Even though there are people farming champions there are still plenty that are completely untouched.
Oh actually I think the greyed out option is for people on 32bit systems or something like that. The higher values/high-res option can cause crashes for some system with lower amounts of memory.
They should really just use the PS system for these quest items. Avoids getting lost and wasting space at the same time. Also avoids the whole “should I be keeping these after the event?” questions.
Lowest
Low
Medium
High
Highest
It might be checking your system specs and determines that you can’t use the higher settings. I know it does that with one of the other settings.
Edit: In fact it shows that other setting in your screenshot! The High-Res Character Texture is also greyed out.
The 2 rares is just once per day no matter how many maps you do.
The 50 scraps/5 stash + other stuff is per map per day.
Also, as a suggestion, maybe there should be a checklist that lists the possible maps the invasions happen in, and ticks off which maps we’ve already done. I’m sure there’s already an internal checklist that tracks our progress, so why not put it into a tool tip, similar to those achievements that have multiple tiers. This way, there is no confusion about A.) which maps we’ve done out of the possible 13, and B.) whether or not a map (and the achievement) is bugging out.
Could have been like the kites. Each map its own achievement with Canceler being it’s own meta achievement.
There are also two other items that is the same thing with a different name.
Rotbeard’s Treasure
Tortured Root
Then there is Book of Rabid Deeds which you can buy from Dwayna’s temple. So if someone bought this out to make a profit they are relying on both low drop rate for this item and ignorance of other sources of the equivalent item.
I believe you might be trying too hard to acquire something that shouldn’t need that much effort for acquisition. Let’s take capping the Dwayna temple for instance. Beating the statue at the end pops the big chest, from which I’ve almost always gotten either a charged core or a lode. Now if this isn’t reliable I don’t know what is.
And if you have cores and lots of them, spend 10 of those hard-earned laurels on 10 Mystic Binding Agents together with a pile of T6 dust and a crystal at the forge. Bang, you’ve now converted cores into lodes. The champ bags now offer a rather reliable way of acquiring cores at the very least so that gives you a very good platform to work from.
I mostly agree except for the use of the MBA. Spending time gated currency for something that can be bought with gold seems like a terrible idea.
For Vorrp’s stuff are you using a character that has done the Closing Ceremony instance and the follow ups for the invasions?
I didn’t realize it could be a problem until a friend brought it up last night.
The real question or issue is, how do these clones look to other people? Defeats the purpose a little if they look totally different than you.
Well that is mostly a WvW issue but consider this. In a 1v1 or small group vs small group the settings shouldn’t be having any effect. In a blob vs blob it is hard to tell who is who regardless of class.
More importantly, haven’t seen this brought up in the WvW section yet.
You have the Crystal in there as well? Never tried that formula since it’s not actually worth the price …
You can always reset your traits at a trainer for a small fee. Even at lv80 it is only 3s50c.
That sounds like you did the same map a second time on the same day.
Well thanks to this bug https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Previewing-transmuted-item-shows-original
You could try previewing to check what the original item was. :P
I think calling the Player Model options “culling” options is confusing as they actually have NOTHING to do with the server side process of Culling. They turned Culling OFF so nobody has any control over that feature (and actually never did).
Now how exactly the user setting for the Player Model options sliders now work is something I’m not entirely sure of as they have recently changed them and the update notes are not real clear (they imply they only took the WvWvW text off the setting name).
Have you read the old blog post about the WvW settings and/or the tooltips for the settings?
Seems pretty clear to me.
Model Limit controls how many people show up as actual characters and the rest show up as just nameplates.
Model Quality controls how many people are displayed with the normal character models with their real armor, dyes, etc with the rest being displayed with the generic fallback models.
It also uses the fallback models if it has to load the assets for the real armor so that could make the settings seem slightly more confusing.
It might but I wouldn’t expect it in the near future. With the upcoming sale for the anniversary the gold→gem rate will probably go even lower.
Skelks and karka in Southsun Shoals.
Best done with a friend or two so you can use MF gear without taking longer to kill.
That really depends on how you spec your characters. If you want to be able to take hits then build a more durable character.
Alternatively, you can use tactics that mitigate damage in other ways than taking a shot to the chin.
For a mesmer, know your blurred frenzy skill, good timing on distortion when needed, proper use of dodges and having vigor.
There are many ways to ‘take a hit’
I know 3 people who play mesmer with MH sword and at least 1 likes to go for big numbers. There is a plethora of other things a mesmer can do. A more durable build is just the simplest option for taking hits. Another option (that seems more preferable on the forum) is to just rip things apart before they have any chance to do damage to you.
I was under the impression that the refunding would mean they are going to subtract out the karma you gained from jugs during the affected time period and give you back the equivalent number of jugs. As far as I know that part isn’t live yet.
I think OP wants a way to get lodestones with 0 effort.
i.e. log-in, kill a few mobs, and end up with 100 Charged Lodestones.
Based on how easily some people claim they are generating gold that is pretty much possible too!
That really depends on how you spec your characters. If you want to be able to take hits then build a more durable character.
