The first thing I do, literally, and I learned this from others, is to disable auto-targeting in any game I play. With auto-targeting deselected, I now only acquire targets upon selection, usually via tab (target nearest enemy). Consequently, I have no problem with auto-targeting. BTW, auto-targeting is one of the ways hunters earned the distinction “kitten” in WoW dungeons. Having auto-targeting on is usually a prescription for unintended pulls.
Anyway, you might like to try this as well. In terms of targets with or without invulnerability, I would not want targeting to make a decision for me, I would want it to function consistently, i.e., target nearest enemy.
Tab isn’t any better for the mobs OP described. :/
Charr have no gods. And the humans are about to have one less.
}]:3
Humans will have no god either if both the PC and Balthazar are successful
That would still only give one item that is consumed to add a bag slot to one character. Not sure what point you are trying to make there.
It should be noted that it does not add a bag slot to your account. It should have sent you an item that will add a bag slot to a character upon being consumed.
Unfortunately, crafting them costs about as much as buying. The wiki says that you can get 10 to 25 gemstones when you use 75 orbs of something (or diamonds etc.)+ 5 globs of ectoplasm. I did it two times a few days ago and got exactly 10 gemstones each time. I calculated a few combinations and unfortunately, and as the market always works out, you cannot get gemstones cheap. People already figured out that crafting is an option and the prices for the ingredients adjusted themselves. If you buy the ingredients and craft 10 gemstones, you might save 1 gold each 23 invested, that’s it.
The 10 recipe generates 10 or 25 not to. Same goes for the 1 recipe, it generates 1 or 5
Presumably you can. Anet hasn’t given any deadline.
But I won’t recommend leaving it too late… servers tend to go funny when expansions go live.
Actually they gave the deadline as soon as the purchase page was up “Pre-purchase bonuses end 9/22/2017” is right under the “BUY NOW” button that pops up on the right side of the screen.
Everything is getting salvaged anyway. Might as well save some space.
What happens in Beta stays in Beta. :p
Throwing stuff into the forge would be useful if you were already planning to do it outside of the beta anyway. It would allow you to double the size of your data set. Information is the only thing you can keep from the beta.
You can buy it on the trading post for 2c
It’s a standalone xpac that will obviously include the vanilla version. So go to queensdale and level your ass up.
I didn’t see anything about a donkey mount in the announcements and you can’t level the expansion masteries in a core map. :p
Getting any tier of karmic retribution and just murdering stuff would give a lot mroe than doing the hearts but since killing near the hearts would also complete them there is no harm in doing both
So you knew what they looked like. Didn’t like it but still paid for it and now you are complaining about it despite the fact that there was an alternative option? You do realize that businesses are more likely to make more stuff that people are willing to pay for right? Your wallet would have sent a much more effective message.
Depends on what you are killing since they removed drops from the mobs guarding the berries. :/
Thoughts?
I haven’t bought yet but I’ve looked over what they’re offering and I’ll make my decision on what to buy based on that. Afterwards is too late to complain if anyone doesn’t check what’s in the basket before they hand over the cash.
As for the outfit and weapons, that’s aesthetics. I’m sure some will love them. No company is going to please everyone on style choices.
The sword and dagger are nice(not implying the rest are not but they weren’t memorable to me). The torch is unique and thematically appropriate.
Hmm … idea for Improvised v2. The dagger could be a broken lightbulb
That depends on whether or not they are bound. If they were account bound on acquire even if they appeared more often their prices on the TP wouldn’t be affected that much since there is still no new supply being added there.
I don’t think I’ve ever had trouble with this map. So long as you can keep up the dps, the mobs will drop like flies. The areas where you tend to die are probably the areas you tend to learn to avoid (and are where npc’s paths colide).
If your build can’t burst, I’d suggest taking to the trees, or else you’re going to get REAL popular (I learned this the hard way when I accidentially used my magi ranger). But this map certainly isn’t all that challenging after a few good runs and condi cleanse (or quickness).
Oh right I keep forgetting about those too but you can avoid a lot of the fighting with the bouncing mushroom/thermal tubes/gliding but that is only if you are just trying to get from A to B. If you are gathering berries there will be a bit more fighting but the optimal path for berry farming doesn’t have that much mob either besides the oens that spawn on the nodes.
Meh … not everything has to be a glow stick
RNG collection items can be pretty awful. I got most of them fairly quickly then I had to kill oakhearts on multiple maps for quite a while to get the item that drops for Yggdrasil.
The reward tracks are to allow PvPing and WvW to get PvE equivalents. Putting them in PvE would just end up double dipping.
Might as well put this in an existing thread …
So is this going to be the future of fractals where the rest will be slowly replaced by this style of design? If so I would like to know so I can stop wasting any more or resources I might end up spending going towards fractal related things. I don’t really mind quitting fractals since I was never all that attached to it and unlike other people I don’t mind losing a chunk of the game either. I just want to be able to make an informed decision going forward.
This “throw as much things at you simultaneously” style of design is just not for me.
On top of everything else who decided to give the place such crappy lighting? Is not being able to see the boss properly supposed to be part of the challenge? There is constantly this weird back lighting on it. Already got issues with the cursor disappearing in the middle of a fight and this is not helping that problem at all.
Playing through this fractal has been the most depressing experience in GW2. Nightmare was already borderline tolerable I guess this just crossed it.
Edit: The entire fractal feels sluggish for some reason. No idea what is causing that. Maybe it’s the jump and the slower animation.

I double click then I double click some more …
ROFLMAO
OP: EOTM is still considered one of the best ways. Personally, I’ve never run it. Couple of suggestions though: 1. Get the guild hall experience booster from the your guild’s GH tavern. That’s an extra 10% for everything you do. 2: Run some sort of food. Bowl of candy corn custard is available at level 10 and that’s another 15% experience from killing stuff. 3. If you’ve got any experience boosters, use them. 4. Map complete the cities – LA, DR, Rata Sum, The Grove, Hoelbrek, and Black Citadel will get you 5-7 levels at least.

For being frozen spamming F works much better than using the 1 skill.
The mastery should have gave you the warmth buff while holding the torch or being around it if you put it down.
If you wait to long they will get back up. Focus on one hound at a time when it goes down scan the machine right away. Just make sure you hit the right hound.
Scanning the machine instead of gliding then scanning also saves you a bit of time.
Mine arrived around 23 hours ago. Bought at more or less when it became available.
I think PvP leagues will end up being the most time efficient way to acquire legendary armor. Just grind your way to the final reward tier and keep repeating it.
… and more people doing that should make it even more efficient since more people should mean lower queue time
It would be nice if it got updated to use the new feature that lets you click on the item to go to the subcollection.
Recent example can be seen with the various collections added in episode 6.
Well, if its hair you want….
There’s hair
And there’s the Peacoc’k Spider.
The first one needs top hat
That edit makes it worse. Now there is added pressure to max all masteries besides whatever benefits the masteries are supposed to provide. This is also true with regards to spirit shards and there seems to be plenty of negative feedback from just that already. Adding another reason for more negative feedback does not seem like a great move.
Racial skills are typically inferior to class skills but occasionally the devs nerfs some skills far enough that a racial skill is actually better for the purpose.
That would be counter productive. The extra points available is to allow for flexibility in how/where people get the point. IF they wanted everyone to get all the points then there would only be exactly enough to max out everything.
Actually that doesn’t happen with the latest episode(s?). There are additional checkpoints. The instances where you were teaching Aurene also had those.
There are no or at least shouldn’t be any updrafts in that last phase. o_O
I guess it is from the all the shiny reflective surfaces in Tarir.
Mostly flat? Not according to https://youtu.be/KZM0bJeCL-I?t=9m45s
That is not quite correct. Marauder actually has higher precision than berserker.
https://www.dlgamer.com/eu/games/buy-guild-wars-2-heart-of-thorns-29394 21.99 euros if you’ve already bought PoF and didn’t add HoT to the bundle.
It is better than the GW1 paragon armor in at least one aspect. You are not forced to have giant patches of it that is always white.
It already specifies it right there in the dialog …
LB ranger also gets its own very special brand of hate from all the people that screw up the use of LB4 all the time -_-
Soon as you purchase … mostly. Gems can take up to 72 hours to deliver and the permanent pass won’t be usable until PoF release and you have to do one of the missions first.
Beserker gear just means gear where the primary stat is power and the secondary stats are precision and ferocity. It does not mean it has to have berserker in the name.
The more expensive ones are probably from crafting where the price is determined by the crafting materials. The others are from drop which are pretty much always cheaper and includes a rune.
There is no difference between them as long as it is the same level, stat distribution and rarity.
Wait till you meet a magma elemental …
It does come with/in a shared slot.
I think they are from one of the bosses. You can’t use them there but they are necessary for the trinket collection …
So this just came up in map chat and in the case of the kingpins it does tell you in the description which says “Take down Event Kingpins around Siren’s Landing”
Next Release: Do the Thing to the Thing at the Place :p
You need to have the mastery …
