Sorry but no…
What you are describing is going back to the old tank/dps/heal/support roles and thats a step back.
Were they really?
Not really IMHO even tabletop, and story book fantasy use it. I’m pretty sure our modern military even has a tank/healer/dps system
Half the problems with PvE in this game stem from no one needing anyone else and everyone being 100% self sufficient in all arenas of PvE.
Which military in the world trains soldiers to stand still and let the enemy shoot at them?
There should be an NPC selling an item that is a replacement like the dungeon token vendors. However the replacement for this is neither available from the golem in fotm or from Miyani. Can’t really think of any other obvious NPC to check.
Pretty sure it’s just supposed to be one chest per day.
I opened two chest today but it was on two different characters on two different map.
Could be 1 chest per day per map.
Edit: maybe just a bug with the one in queensdale. I was able to get both chest in harathi hinterlands and I’ve seen people running around with reward from completing the achievement.

Southsun didn’t have farmable champions the same way this area does. It is out of hand.
Southsun didn’t have farmable champions … I guess we are not playing the same game.
… and then you look at how much t6 are dropping from the pavilion enemies
None of these are supposed to. That is based on what the devs have said before release of the patch.
I managed to get up to 220% with the emissaries’ 150%, 50% booster and some food. Got some rares but no exotics, but wasn’t playing for long. It is crazy. The amount of loot I was getting I won’t be surprised if there’s a market crash. But maybe they want that.
Only 220% total? Some people were running around with over 500% during Secret of Southsun.
People have been reporting about this thing long before they ever mentioned any of the infinite use tools.
If you were JUST missing that one POI then you’ve completed the map before.
You do not need to be 80 to do these contents. The game will uplevel you to 80(like what happens with WvW) for the places where level matters. As long as you have gear appropriate for your level it should be more or less fine. You’ll probably be at a bit of a disadvantage with fewer traits but that shouldn’t be a huge issue at lv65.
The tutorial doesn’t exist yet so no you didn’t miss anything. There is an online manual at https://www.guildwars2.com/en/manual/ . Looks out of date and doesn’t cover any of this.
woah 6 hours!omg does that mean they actually gonna test everything?too bad this falls right into the timeframe of wvw time with my guild :-(………
They said “up to 6 hours”. The wallet stuff is likely to require schema changes on their database. That could take a while on large databases. Then you have to allocate time for verifying data and time to fix stuff in case things go wrong. It’s always better to reserve more time than you need and say “we finished sooner than expected” than “oops we need a few more hours … indefinitely”. Hopefully everything will go smoothly and they can finish early.
The original GW1 character selector was something like that.
510+ based on the buttons in my inventory. I know a friend has more than that and another was maybe half of that.
Are you sure that was your first time completing the map?
As I said above. They don’t start that way. They become like that if someone interacts with them and fails to kill the engineer in time. Players are tampering with the containers while the engineers spawn to “fix” them. The only possible bug I can see is that the gear icon remains on the minimap for “fixed” containers.
My husband has made 100 gold in ~ two weeks through crafting. Can’t say much more; don’t want to ruin his market.
Is that before or after subtracting out the gold you could have gotten from the raw materials?
No chaos axe? No storm bow? No eternal shield? No shadow shield? No canthan shields? No Bo staves?
Dam OP, fix your list
Well GW2 already has plenty of ‘glowing blobs of light’ things.
As for me, all the mesmer sets except Enchanter’s.
It’s been broken for a while.
The workaround I use is to use something like google and add ‘site:https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs’ to the search terms
This sort of bug should go to the https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/forum section
That isn’t a bug. Maybe a design flaw. That happens when people activate the container and then fail to kill the spawns or fail to kill them in time. If you fail to disable the containers just finish the followup kelp gathering event and you can redo the container even 6m30s later and then proceed as normal.
I’m still trying to get there and do that.
Edit: I wonder if I can get there and do that solo ?
Yes for 99% of PvE. There are maybe around 3 SP that might be an issue.
Maybe for WvW, depends on your server.
I don’t think buying new hardware really counts unless you do absolutely nothing else on the system besides play GW2 on it.
Not a bad idea but this would be more for the suggestions section.
I bought the game and a players manual thus far. Also, after finding out my original pc couldn’t run the game I went out and had a gaming pc made. I’d rather not discuss how much I spent on that but lets just say I won’t be getting the ps4 when it drops.
Wish I did the same for the PS3! The price of a PS3 could have(and probably still can) gotten a really nice graphics card. It is currently a giant expensive paperweight.
@khisanth is 5570 better than a 6570 wouldnt seem like it should be.
The 6570 should be better than a 5570 but a 5770 vs a 6570 would be less clear. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radeon#Current might help.
I also remember a problem I had with my card where its bios was reporting that it only has 750 stream processors when it should have 800. I had to apply a firmware update for it.
The values in my second screenshot are based on the hardware so they aren’t changeable except for the GPU clock and Memory clock. A 6850 or 6870 should be equal or better anyway. If not definitely go check the card manufacturer’s website to see if there is some sort of update you need to apply.
IF you were doing it as you level it could have helped with leveling as well as providing crafting materials(which also helps with leveling). The higher level maps also give you exotics so those could have been handy as well even if it only to dig out the upgrades on them.
@khisanth when i use auto detect im at 24fps…. did you do any overclocking on your graphics card?
The setting is enabled but the values are all default.
Attached my settings and values for the card in case you want to compare some numbers.
If you are using a higher resolution it could make a big difference since the GPU will have to deal with more data per frame. There are also specific locations which may cause problems. For example if I jump into the water in Southsun Cove with Shaders set to Medium it will drop the FPS to 30something but underwater in other places doesn’t have that problem.
I have a 5770 and use the autodetected settings with a few adjustments. FPS is usually around 60. One thing I’ve noticed is that if I have a flash video opened in my browser the FPS will drop by 10 until I close the tab.
You could also play around with the settings in the game. Some settings result in biggers FPS hits than others.
Overclocking is fairly easy to do from the catalyst control center under Graphics OverDrive. Testing in small increments would probably be a good idea.
Skelks/Karkas in Southsun Cove.
Trolls(and maybe minotaurs) in Frostgorge. Arctodus also drops blood but they drop 3 different fine crafting materials so yield for any particular one is not as good.
Oh and you’ll want as much MF as you can get. It should be obvious but just to be sure..
Just to be clear I am not saying there isn’t a bug, only that the bug is not where you claim.
They really need to fix the search function of the forum
They also need a dev to address a problem that’s come up multiple times in this forum.
The devs don’t come here anymore. They haven’t for quite some time.
With threads like these, I almost understand why sometimes. We have like 15 of the same thread now -.-
Maybe if the search function actually worked …
1) Click on https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/dungeons
2) Type in spider queen
3) “Found 0 results.”
So according to the search function this thread doesn’t exist. We are all a figment of someone’s imagination.
That would depend on which t6 you are looking for. Some t6 are significantly more valuable than others …
Now that you mention it, where did Evon get his money from to start the BLTC?
I don’t know what you understand for "maintenance " but in online games, that always take a while (they always said 6 hour but it may take less or way more than that).
6 hours is a bit strange for this game though. There hasn’t been a build update that’s lasted longer then just relogging since release :P
There HAS been another one before https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/info/news/Server-Maintenance-Tonight-April-16-12AM-2AM-Pacific-Time
Not as long but still a lot longer than “just relog”.
The API does not provide anything time related, this is easily seen in the data it provides https://api.guildwars2.com/v1/events.json?world_id=1001 . It only reports the current state of an event.
The website has to record the time between state changes. It is true that a problem with the website would not prevent the event from happening but have the wrong time on the website is also not because the API is sending the wrong time. Having the wrong time on the website can also mean people are there at the wrong time.
Phantasmal Haste does not do what it says on the description. What it actually does is make the skills used by Phantasms recharge faster. Meaning Phantasms attack more frequently.
Actually, it does what it says. Most players just misunderstand it. IC says "illusion summoning skills recharge 20% faster. PH says “Phantasms recharge 20% faster”.
ohh ic, thx khisanth
but what about duelist discipline? phantasmal duelist still pistol skill but cold down didt change. So, are you looking at the tooltip or at the actual cooldown ?
At best it is an extremely misleading way to say what it does. Descriptions should be concise but not to the point of being open to multiple interpretations.
Suggestions is that way → https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions
(These things have also been brought up piles of times already, there is even a response from a dev in one of them https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/pvp/pvp/2h-weapons-need-2-upgrade-slots/2526897).
That is a problem with the website …
The API doesn’t give any time at all.
I was about ready to say the first one looked a little brighter. It is extremely slight but it does look a little brighter to me at least…
How much of that is that due to color differences and how much of that is due to JPEG compression?
But kites didn’t have a limited time warning on them.
Hmm yeah stuff usually stick around for a few weeks after the patch and there is a 7 day warning before they go away.
Well the blog post(s) did mention “new recipes”.
That is one rare ingredient that is a bit lacking in use.
If you want to see what any armor or weapons look like on your character, search the items on the black lion trading post and do previews. You can do this at dungeon and karma merchants also. I did that for every armor before i purchased the one i decided looked best.
The argos soft site include the preview code for each piece so you don’t even need to do that
The other option is to use the PvP locker to preview. Everything in one place(including a few that are not available in PvE).
Personally I would prefer not to see more junk in the loot table. How much is this thing worth? At most 4s.
Hmm they also said “no” for quite a while in GW1 to. Then it became yes. The two are very different games though. Without knowing the actual problems it’s hard to say if it would be “hard to do” or “impossible”.
If you have tried to send mail to your EU friends you would have also realized how little data is being shared. Servers in different regions do not even know about character names in the other regions.
I am not convinced, phantasm are purely an illusion, they are not made of real material, thus arrows, bullets should go through them.
Sure, if you target a phantasm or clone and then deliberately shot at him then that is a different story, but targeting the real Mezmer and hitting a clone because it gets in the way is just ridiculous. The more I play this game, the more I realize that game developers did not pay much attention to details.
“Projectiles should only collide with clones and phantasms when it is convenient for me.”
In most or every zone? Sorry for all the questions, lol. I never got to play Guild Wars 1, and not sure how similar it is. I can see being level 80 feeling like that, Arena Net did a good job making that feeling.
The gw2stuff website includes a map of the location of each of the events it covers.
Higher rarity would be nice but more important would stat sets.
That is not a bug, that is just how projectiles work with everything in the game. If you don’t want clones and phantasms taking the hits then don’t try to shoot through them or use a piercing projectile trait.
Well if i want to have fun then i’ll just go WvW, that’s the most fun for me. But you’re not getting rich with it
Right now I need round about 300g and I just want to know what’s the best way to make this money WITHOUT running a dungeon over and over and over again until your brain melts and drips out of your ears like pudding.
That’s about two months of normal, non-grind gameplay. Just enjoy the game, and you’ll get there.
Also this whole running a dungeon over and over till your brain melts will be gone after august 6th. Now it will be speed clears of multiple dungeon paths. I believe that dungeons will still be the best time:money ratio but you will not be able to repeat it the same way you can now. Meaning if you have an hour to play and you want to make the most money than running the fastest dungeon path will be the go to method. However this is just my GUESS, it might be that the champion loot bags are really worth something so running in a champion rich area will be better.
“Best” is debatable but it is certainly one of the few ways you are guaranteed a certain amount of gold(except when bugs are involved >_<). The other being the gem→gold exchange.
Most dungeons are champion rich areas too.
Transmuting means transmutation crystals. Transmutation is both a part of the core of the game and a source of income for ANet. Why would they restrict it?
