This skill is terrible.
A Heal skill that doesn’t heal. So you get hit, and your health can’t go back up until combat is over. Also, it doesn’t deal with conditions like all of our other heals can, making you weak to conditions.
We all know that siphon values will be kept low.
No conditionmancer will use this, Staff and scepter attack too slow. No power necro will use this, they don’t wear toughness armor and spend a lot of time in shroud where the skill does nothing.
Let’s be honest what this skill really is:
It is the minions siphon health trait repurposed as a heal skill.
But anet has a design philosophy that dictates that specs based on AI damage are never to be useful in competitive pvp. So, if the skill makes minion masters useable instead of jokes, then a bunch of unrelated skills will get hards nerfs. Sorry, but that is how things work.
Note also that the minions siphon trait still exists: That means that the signet will be balanced at (100% effectiveness minus healing from minions siphon trait). You will have to take the trait just to get your heal to fully work.
I believe its for specific use. for certain builds that focus on support of team.
The reason we went with heal skills first is that we actually believe this is the highest impact area for build diversity.
1) it is a small pool to begin with so adding to it increases choice by a large %
2) it sees a lot of use
3) it heals you which is pretty importantAs time goes on we will also introduce traits, utilities, elites, and potentially other stuff.

okay that makes sense. but dont think this will give you an excuse for not adding utility skills in the near future.
If the .dat mined info is more or less correct then it will be a case of:
a) what’s the damage-to-heal percentage vs skill duration
b) what’s the cooldownEither it lasts a long time and trickle heals like AH/Zealous Blade or it last a few seconds and allows for a burst heal if you precast it on whirling wrath/smite or zealot’s defense.
I think I’d prefer something that has a short cooldown – say 16-20 secs, lasts for 4 seconds and heals for at least 50% of damage done in that period. I’ve been roaming alot recently with only a handful of points in Valor, so I’d be really grateful for any healing I can get beyond virtue regen and shield bubbles
It’s going to be hard to find a balance between PvE and PvP though – I’m guessing they’ll do more of a trickle style heal over a longer period since in PvE you can spin up 50k of damage in 4 seconds, whilst it’s just a fraction of that figure in sPvP. That will synergise ok with Zealous Blade, but will be lacking for other weapons ( unless they’re also going changing ZB to work with all weapons – wishful thinking )

Think of it as extended health that would have happen anyway from healing. Other games have this as well. In WoW I know Rogues had a skill like this that prevented death. has a cool down for balance, but could quickly be killed if not skilled.

Shouts Ideas:
*I Am Empowered- Shout gain might and toughness for 5 seconds. For 10 seconds, 5 nearby allies close to you gain a stack of might per second and 2 second regeneration while in your presence.
Stance Ideas:
*Bull Stance – Increase movement speed by 20%. Immobilize conditions are converted to snares instead. Snare effects are reduce by 50% effectiveness. Next damage attack knocks down target for 3 seconds.
Physical Ideas:
*Slammer – can be casted while moving. Melee ranged. Slam weapon/s into enemy targets in cone in front of you. dealing massive damage. target is effected by torment for 5 seconds.
Bull’s Charge exists for one reason in WvW, getting around. Have it equipped with GS and S/W, turn off autotargeting in Options, and equip the trait that removes immob on movement skill (if you already have 20 in Disc) and nobody (NOBODY) can catch you. Great for scouting, getting back to commander after waypointing, escaping doomed fights (who does that? lol,) but its combat utility is limited
Other than that, Bull’s doesn’t have enough utility to rank among the Warrior’s best CCs.
oh wow never tried it for movement. is it really that good?
only problem is I dont like taking auto target and auto attack off.
Problem is not only bullscharge makes your skills miss,but basicly every warrior utility or control skills except stuns.
Immobilize bug .ppl can dodge while immobilized lolol = Miss your attack,miss flurry damage,etc

I am just wondering why is rtl working so flawlesly while every warrior mobility skill is so horrible bugged that is impossible to rely on,especially in a competitive pvp mode.See that hint ? How can it ever be competitive if half your skills are not working?
I even have a story with it. Had this really nice duel in wvw earlier and the fight was really really close,andrenaline was so high we were both on 10%ish and both on offensive .When i tought i won for using BS just out of cd and a damage skill guess what ,Bs moved trough,kdowned the player but my skill missed since i was like 400 range away from where i should have been.Died 15 seconds later :/

If Charzooka is better I may get that. But I know there is a big patch on the tenth, and it may fix the bugs in Mortar, and dont want to pick zooka over Mortar, is only issue with it is the bugs that can be patched in the future.

No, only the stats (like power, precision etc.) and sigils affect your kits.
As of now all kits have their own “weapon damage” that scales with character level (969 @ lvl 80) and is supposed to be equal to exotic weapons.
This also results in ascended/legendary weapons having less benefit for engineers (and conjure elementalists) than for other classes.
Any plan to fix this?
Not going to happen, as that would in essence give engineers for free what others got by getting hold of the time limited greatsword skin.

Given the recent bruhaha over the reskinned human T3, any saw like weapon for “free” for engineers would be a epic PR mess…
I am still sure they can make a model that looks a bit different from that but still a saw with chains..
Other than some non-movable environmental object where you can use weapons to shoot nothing can happen. I don’t think the engine can handle larger movable objects. In our personal storyline we already have seen it… all bigger tanks and ships are not moving. They stay somewhere and you man the cannons.
But cant say it doesnt work if its never been done before. those are environmental weapons on a background. not the same as a moveable object such as a vehicle mechanic.
EOTM has all that water, but no real purpose for it besides the lame underwater combat.
Well how about some Ship battles for once, and some intro to vehicles control?
They should have made EOTM Cross Server. as in the teams are no longer based on three servers fighting it out, but instead are based on 3 Factions fighting it out. Each Faction is made up of multiple Servers.
How does this work for GvG?
I originally wanted a Persistent (of 7 days -14 days) World Old AV (a world of warcraft term to describe a sort of large scale PvPvE mode with special care of Faction PvE NPC that effect PvP dirrectly)
I wanted that but with the concept of World of Warcraft’s PvP Zone Siege concept.
But so far, what I got, was a very zerg like design, that has no meaningful PvE elements. The PvE NPC die way too fast. They should be 1 shotting players and take large numbers to take down.
there should be Powerful Faction Bosses in WvW that also do major AoE 1 shotting damage, and require tactics to take down. Making the NPC fights even more dangerous. Since we have to watch both our front and our back, rather than just watching our back for zergs.
Also I expected a more interesting Siege system, with Sieges being used more often for both offense and defense. And even using in unique strategic ways, such as building a field base made from sieges to defend the more powerful ranged sieges. Also expected more sieges to be Mobile in design, with Sieges that can be used for some serious AoE anti Zerg damage, and have scaling damage/ toughness based on number of enemy players around them. Makes for a great way to counter zergs. But was never built into the game.
Expected some gameplay action and threats from the neutral NPC factions. But nothing. they just stay in the same area until events are done. they pretty much never a threat.
Expected a way to summon powerful Units and bosses, to deal destruction like the Druid/Shaman boss in Old AV.
Expected some kind of gameplay elements for rest periods, something kind of like EOTM but for time of rest period between battles.
Edge of the Mists:
- no PPT, so nothing you will do here will have immediate impact on matchup
- no queues as EOTM will have overflows
- more PvE
-new map design with various parts like deset, floating islands etc.
- only 3 waypoits in each corner(i know there is “emergency” waypoint, but those are near each other)

Can you please make Support a meaningful role?
I know lots of people love damage role.
But seriously, I would like Support to be equally as useful in the game now. I dont feel rewarded for playing a good support role anymore.
My heals are too weak without gearing up, no matter what my traits are.
Also the heals are small in general. the Regen boon is flawed when it comes to multiple people playing Support roles, which will happen in a open world game like this that focus on large group combat.
On my Engineer when I use Med kit, with careful aiming of meds, I want to feel like I actually saved somebody,
But I never get this feeling, only a sense of wasted time, since a typical AoE splash does more damage than all the Med heals combined. Regen is simply never on part with damage to counter it.
and the way Regen stacks, its practically useless to have multiple players play support role. There is no skill in it if all it ever does is stack duration.
So not fun, nor rewarding.
Also lets not forget how the game doesnt even reward support on events. Damage gets the most rewards. Support gets the least.
Stop this design for once. Its not fun. Make all the roles equal to each other, and useful.
Anything would be better than having to do the same boring stuff over and over again. I can’t bring myself to make another character for this reason.
Craft your way to level 50, then level the last 30 levels.

*Vindicator’s Banner
has brand new skills instead of the same old.
Passive, it Heals nearby ally and provides increase Health.
Skill 1=
*Holy Banner – Strike the target, healing nearby allies totaling 200% damage done with banner
*Holy Force – Send out a Wave of motivation with your attack, that provides toughness boost for 3 seconds.
*Leap of Faith – Leap at the enemy with an attack, that creates a healing ground. Counts as blast finisher.
Skill 2 =
Healing Blast – Heal nearby ally
Skill 3 =
Call of the Divine – create a healing circle at location that Heals allys instantly, and provides regeneration for 6 seconds.
Skill 4 =
Run to the Light- Charge forward creating trail behind you that removes boons from enemy, and cleanses conditions from allies.
Skill 5 =
No More Pain – redirect some of the damage allies take to yourself
Eye for an Eye – Return 50% of the damage collected from No More Pain to target enemy.

Skill 2 =
Power Saw – Gut the enemy causing Torment on the enemy and dealing damage to the target. refreshes a random condition on the target for 5 seconds.
Skill 3=
Saw to the Face – Smack the enemy with a Sawblade to the face. Stunning the target for 3 seconds, and blinding them for 3 seconds after stun ends.
Skill 4 =
*Chained Saw – unleash your saw chain to latch to enemy and electrifying the enemy for damage every second while latched.
*Bladesaw Pull – Pull latched target to you and cripple for 1.5 seconds. Causes Burning and Bleeding for 10 seconds.
Skill 5 =
Sawmill – Spin around madly with axe for 8 attacks on nearby enemies. Causes Cripple, Snare and Bleeding.

New skills/traits are a far better way of rewarding players and allowing them to develop there characters than just increasing stats, which as most players know is meaningless in the long run.

The problem is the guardian and warrior cover pretty much everything that would fit in the game
Warriors: Berserker, Barbarian, Swordsman, axeman, any type of artillery archer, brawler (physical skills), Warlord (Shouts and banners)
Guarian: Knight, Mageknight, Paladin, Cleric, Sage, Stonewaller, and basically any type of armored caster
- Dervish would be cool but nonsensical as a heavy
- Monk would have the same problem
- As would a Bard or Skald
- Anti-paladin/death knight is just terrible in every game in which it exists. What is cool about something defined by cliched and purposeless opposition? Nothin’
Shadow Knight isnt just Anti Paladin. thats how they are in lore because they are Unholy, where Paladins are Holy.
hence the term Anti Paladin.
well I’ve seen, in other games, these 3 kind of classes:
-Heavy with shield, much like the Guardian
-Heavy with masive 2h weapon a kind of bursty damage dealer, much like the Warrior weilding 2h weps
-Heavy dual wielding, sustained dps, lots of dodging, kind of a mix of warrior and thief but without the stealth mechanicsthat 3rd option would be most likely the 3rd heavy, a class that relies on dodge with solid sustained dps
or completely going against the usual heavy theme and make it a heavy caster, closer to ele and mesmer
Warriors have Dual Wielding melee.
From my Experience in RPGs and MMOs of the fantasy genre there are the following heavy armor classes:
*Paladins – Holy Warrior
*Warlord – Knight/Berzerker/Fighter
*Death Knight – Unholy Warrior
*Cleric – Heavy Priest and Melee tanking
*Spell Breaker – Mage+ Warrior designed to be anti magic tank
all Heavy armor classes I have seen so far fit into one of these categories

thats the one play style I enjoy most in GW2. But its very lacking in this class in terms of fun factor. not many ways to play it, and its not that great on the Warrior class.
I would like for some more of the traits we currently have to add new effects and playstyles to the wrench.
we have 1 trait so far that effect Wrench.
Well how about some traits that allow Wrench to heal allies in some way.
Or to apply boons to ally and take boons from enemy.
or a trait that adds a chain effect skill to Gear shield and Magnet

I told you, I cant get into Leather armor.
I am trying to level my Engineer to 40, but the armor are really turning me off. But maybe thats because he is Charr. I dont know.
I have strong desire for new Heavy armor melee class.
Something about the Plate Armor classes really interest me in the way they look.
I just have not been able to get into the leather armor models. they look too dull to me. Same issue for the Light armor.
the Plate armor seem to be the only good looking armor set for me.
I have both the Warrior and Guardian max leveled.
I also like Melee combat, and playing with large two handers. But I also like 1hander melee. Some classes use melee weapons, but not as melee weapons. strange? I know.
Like Mesmer greatsword for example. its a ranged weapon not melee.
I am really looking for the new Soldier class. I so hope its at least 2/3rd melee weapons, and some magic ranged options to go with it.
Anybody else feeling this way as well?
One of the big issues with this is that the PS4 requires you to pay a subscription fee to play online content (or at least this is my understanding of it from the most recent information, I am quite happy to be wrong if I am!).
But if that is the case – there is no way a B2P company would be happy having their customers paying a fee to play their game that they aren’t getting any of.
not all games require Sub to play online. namely, Planetside 2 is F2P and doesnt have a sub on PS4.
