Roll for Initiaves is that one skill I have yet to try. I think this skill is too specific for a good, well rounded use. Signet of infiltration would be a better option.

I main thief and I strongly suggest not doing this. We don’t need any more S/D thieves.. It’s near perma evade is already OP as is. If you want to talk about buffs though for thieves, change Death Blossom on Dagger so D/D is actually viable in PvP. That would be a lot more beneficial to the class than buffing sword.

Let us focus on solving issues of weak/unreliable weapons (thinking D/D, P/P) than improving a weapon that is not bad at all.

Don’t get your hopes up boys. Caithe is DESTINY’s EDGE. she is a legendary thief, it is only naturaly that her skills are OP and absolutely amazing.

personally, i love initiative, it describes the thief perfectly (someone who makes critical decisions at crucial times). I like the management of it and so, CD for me a kind of pain.

I definitely would not mind that Second Shadow as an elite, that would render all the other elites skills unused.

I think you need to have some priority straight.

If I am about to jump into a fight, let it be WvW or PvP (it’s the same), the following must die absolutely, in that order.

- Thief
-Mesmer
- Ranger
-Necro
- Engineers
- Warrior
- Guardian

This does not mean, guardian is the least dangerous of all the classes, but one thing is for sure : letting the thief live is more threatning to your survival than letting any other classes live.

I mean, i have seen some pretty weird keybinds from pro gamers.

F= steal

e=n4

x=n5

c=n6

mouse button= n7

r= n8

q=n9

Elite=shift v,

make target= shiftt x

v = dodgeroll

^ = change weapon

alt = cancel cast

G = stomp/rezz

i guess we do what’s comfy and that’s it.

Hey not much feedback but in the entire video you used smoke screen only once and I think it was random click on it. If you don’t like it why don’t you switch it with something that you will use. Signet maybe or blinding powder.

Overall it’s not bad at all mate. I wish there were more full fights because a lot of the scene switching that you do, already start when the guy is at 75% or lower if you know what I mean. GG man.

So much none sense from this uploader, it makes me sad. My first question to you is “do you even thief bro?” because CLEARLY, if you did play it for 5 minutes, you would at least know that Stealing CAN be blocked and dodged.

- what’s the name of the class again? Thief? what do thieves do? Steal. That’s the only thing we do, that’s what we are good at. Nerfing Steal is like nerfing the number of illusions a mesmer can have, or nerfing the Life Force from Necro. it’s just outrageous, and what you are suggesting is pretty much killing the class.

- Your proposal for a melee Steal: … and what about the medium armor and all the squishiness? You want me to chase you all the way and hope you’ll let me look into your pockets or something? ( it’s already annoying to chase and backstab btw)

- your opinion on realism: Let me tell you about realism. Stealing should be fast, unexpected, annoying, painful,stressful. So obviously, you ‘ll never be prepared for it. If you get Mugged IRL I am sure you’ll feel all those things i mentioned above.

- did I just read " Slower teleport" ? because that does not even make any sense. Unless you meant “running”. it’s the same logic as above. You want thieves to reach into your pockets SLOWLY so you can tap their hands. “ey. back off buddy!”

Keybinding is super important to run sexy combos such as Infiltrator’s Signet + Cloack & Dagger smoothly. As thieves, we know how painful it is to miss those moves because of a uncomfortable bind.

I was curious what my fellow thieves use as their keybinds! thanks you for sharing.

I have a gaming mouse, so i use to alleviate the problem a little.

Better isn’t a answer then can be given :p there is no best thief imo, on d/d i think Night Blade is by far miles better, i haven’t played the spec in months. S/D i would say amons better, D/P or P/D (to many thieves to name) and well i play s/p so i die a lot lol

Every Thief weapons are great, but after playing countless times as a D/P , I think the most skillful thieves I have played against were S/D ones. but then that’s just my opinion.

Also i am so glad Uploader didn’t run the usual 26006 like everybody, even in shadow traits she still managed to rek havoc. Don’t follow the flow, do what pleases you.

Actually i meant 3’31. THIS was worth a 3-4 times replay. but, is this even viable for wvw? no condi cleaning, no sustains. 1 mistake = death. because i see the only time you go in WvW you are running S/D.

Hello guys, this is my first post. I am running this D/P build 2/0/6/0/6 for survival and sustenance. This is about WvW and PvP

However i heard everybody is doing 2/6/0/0/6 and i am just wondering how get rid of your conditions, or even heal?

I met 2 thieves (one D/P, the other S/D) in WvW that destroyed my squad of 7. :/

Yes we were noobs, but still, they earned my respect.

Please don’t stay " I use steal to heal" cause that’ just 2k heal and you will lose that health in the next 2 hits.

I am satisfied with my build but I wish, i could do a bit little more damage.
