Thief – Raiden Hayabusa
Thief – Gouki Kurokawa
in a WvW / PvP setting, all 9 professions are in front of you in a huge melee fight. Which professions do you target first?
Please make a list:
1- Top priority
x
x
x
9- Lowest Priority.
You don’t have to explain why. I think some are pretty obvious, but I am just curious.
I mean it was said from the very beginning, Close combat, deadly 1v1 profession. The only thing that is 1200 range for us is teleportation. Which is quick infiltration or exfiltration in the heat of battle. If Pistol gets 1200 range than what about rifle? Engineers will also start asking for their pistol range to be 1200 range… It would turn into a mess.
There would be discrepancies that wouldn’t make sense in the Virtual Reality.
Let’s hope Rifle comes for next elite spec because 900 for pistol is only reasonable.
I’m not hearing any real reasons.
First, their pistols are different from ours—different abilities entirely. If we’re worrying about some sort of internal logic (which is weird since swords are handled so differently from class to class, to name one, or STAFF, for another. where’s my 1200 range magic projectiles??), I would simply say that it’s the difference between a street cop using a pistol and an expert marksman. The expert is just better with the same weapon.
Second, I would point out that there is at least one class and often many more, that can do everything we can do. I don’t think there are any other backstabbers, but there is no other effect, type of damage, condition, or anything else (I may be wrong, but nothing comes to mind) that some other class doesn’t have and that isn’t done better. I’m not sure why we would be the exception to that. If consistency is the issue, then giving us 1200 would create consistency, not break it. Srsly? Don’t do it because other classes would complain?
Third, let’s see some balance math. I’m not much of a theory crafter, but I’m not seeing the problem. Come to think of it, whenever this comes up in threads, I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone actually break it down beyond vague assertions.
Idk what you mean by balance math, because we would need to implement a 1200 range pistol to test how it would affect everyone’s gameplay, and that won’t happen ever.
It doesn’t matter if their pistol is different from ours, It’s another profession and the game ties character skills to weapons. So it’s only natural that it is different from ours.
The weapon itself though is 900 range. period. Mesmer has 1200 range offhand Pistol but if you read the skills, Phantasmal Duelist and Magic Bullet are completely infused with magic.
Mesmer pistol skills are not limited to physical attacks like engineer’s and Thieve’s.
This same rule applies to Revenant Hammer auto attack, they are not actually using the hammer, they are using it as a catalyst to throw mystical hammers.
And I agree with the street cop and expert marksman analogy. This is the concept which allowed us to Richochet our bullets with Unload like pros. But again, it doesn’t change the fact that in this game, a pistol is 900 range.
You still have yet to answer a question that is just as important : if you make pistol 1200 range, what about rifle that is already 1200? It is not logical that a pistol has the same range as a rifle. That would create some real imbalance imo.
There are plenty of other arguments against 1200 range pistol or range weapon for Thief.

Now with the Thief feedback thread…
Forum: "Hey Karl, there’s about 7 pages of people who all agree the Daredevil needs the following:
hahahahahaha SO much accuracy in that sentence.
I feel you completely and idk how they will fix Thief and even the DD trait line in 6 weeks. Will there be another BWE before HoT?
I competely agree with you. I do WvW most of the time. Losing ini for a failed teleport is a serious pain and it got me killed a few times like that too. Same applies for Steal. So on that note, I agree with you.
All i am saying is, it got to the point where, by experience, I know where my Shortbow #5 my Shadowstep or my Steal will or will not work.
They better kittening fix it tho. It’s really absurd getting killed by this.
hahaha :p.
Watch this vid, P/P will be doing fine with Daredevil Trait:
I mean it was said from the very beginning, Close combat, deadly 1v1 profession. The only thing that is 1200 range for us is teleportation. Which is quick infiltration or exfiltration in the heat of battle. If Pistol gets 1200 range than what about rifle? He has a valid point. I know it Flanking Strike uses Haste but this stunbreak aspect is pretty stupid and useless. They should add a mechanism in which the Stunbreak triggers 10 seconds after the Quickness triggers or something, or simply: turn the stunbreak into a stability boon.
I mean Flanking Strike is a great incentive for offensive, it could easily down unwary targets, unfortunately the stunbreak shows how badly conceived it was.
When you stealth, NPC stop moving. The A.I isn’t Top lvl like in HoT. So, either you aren’t fast enough to backstab or… you aren’t fast enough to backstab.
No Valid Path to target, it happens. you need to be familiar with the terrain, the same occurs with Shortbow #5 (or any kind of teleports) and cliffs. You need to know the spots.
Engineer have a trait that reveal you when they hit you even if you are stealthed. Be extra caustious with this kittens. Same for Rangers and Revenants but the one you mentioned is the most outrageous.
Some people claimed being “revealed without being revealed”, and you are not the first and there a plenty who mentioned that, it never happened to me tho :/.
The terms “thief” and “1200” in the same sentence not only insane, but you will never hear this coming out of a Dev’s mouth/post.
your 2) vulnerability for each sucessful hit? that’s 8 vuls in like 3 seconds mate… I mean let’s be reasonable here. You can pull Unload almost 3-4 times in one setting that with vulnerability added that would tear up a Guardian in seconds.
I don’t find Unload a High risk and high reward mechanism. You simply need to make sure your target is out of endurance and then it’s GG. You can even bait them with your first Unload to be honest, and execute your moves.
I am affraid I have to disagree here. Completely. I hope you can convince me.
Frankly, you want the P/P to be a little buffed but not buffed like you suggested because I promise you won’t have fun when you killing everybody with like 2 Unload on target with 15-16 Vulnerability.
Btw on the Critical Strikes line, you could add Sundering strike which does add Vulnerability on crit. Test this out, and see witness how you tear Light or Medium armor up.
I tend to agree with Lettuce in the sense that it is also matter of adjustement, I would this is 30% of the problem. The rest however, is overwhelmingly associated with broken traits.
I think the only positive thing we can say about this, is that there is no denying that there is a serious need for synergy not only in terms of traits but also with the weapons.
For real guys, they just cannot deny it anymore. This profession needs a serious fix. Numbers are there, the feedback is there, all there is now is action and implementation.
I didn’t get to test D/D Staff, Idk why I never even thought about it, but somebody posted a pvp video rocking this set. Clearly Demonstrated a nice compatibility.
(Shout out to alchemyst.2165)
So there is synergy to some extent but very little. S/D on a DD line works wonders too, that’s about it. People thought S/P was gonna be meta, Beta turned this into a living nightmare.
So again, not enough synergy. very little to work with.
lol That was a good anology. Have you watched the movie called Fury?
Go back to the Revenant posts when first released or the first trials of the Necromancer.
Read them today. They all went from Gloom and doom to this profession is useless to wow…Give it some time. Thief was released for tests 5 days ago and no neither Revenant or Necromancer was fixed 5 days later.
It’s been 3 years and Thief is not yet fixed. How much longer do we have to wait?
Not long at all actually. The waiting time is almost over and we get either get a fix or we all break.
Thank God i didn’t waste my time and cash on Bolt…S/D thief dead in HoT
That is not true at all. S/D with Daredevil line work very smoothly and it was the most fun I had in days.
Go back to the Revenant posts when first released or the first trials of the Necromancer.
Read them today. They all went from Gloom and doom to this profession is useless to wow…Give it some time. Thief was released for tests 5 days ago and no neither Revenant or Necromancer was fixed 5 days later.
Thanks man. Positivity always helps.
LOL u serious? Links or it didn’t happen.
This is for all those people think Daredevil sounds like kitten. I mean BLACKJACK? hahaha. Whoever came Daredevil needs a raise.
Post Oct. 23, they should do another balance patch 1-6 months after.
I do wonder why they implemented the 3 trait lines before Hot launch if they had no intention to balance it beforehand. Maybe they will balance all lines with HoT, maybe they will just throw the elites at us. But for some reason 3 months is really long to leave known problems as they are.
I’m pretty certain that staff/ daredevil will work at least with HoT – easiest way to make stuff work is to make it OP.
If they implemented the 3 trait line after it would have been a cataclysm. That would be too much content to get used to. Can you imagine haha. I would not even be able to explain what happened to us Thieves to a F2P player.
I decided to spice up my gaming life cause nothing is going well with Thief right now and switch races.
Anybody knows what Charr Daredevil animation looks like? I guess if Human animation looks like poop Charr Swag must be down the drain too.
We saw the Sylvaris during PoI (terrible) and Asura daredevil in Pvp ( well done.)
Now i must see Charr Kungkitten
I found this video OP. I hope it helps
the dedication is real with this one. GG
Don’t forget to copy-post this one on that feedback thread.
Lol how did he lose?
Amen to this. Especially the #2 should replace #5.
These thread is making me convinced to stay away from this expansion. These are not good feedback.
well, we can just hope our feedback, suggestions and uproar is enough to get the daredevil changed.
i see the biggest offender in the dodges and animations, followed by staffskills, utilities and traits have the least complaints. The problem is, those animations might be controlled by hard coded instructions that may not be easily fixed. I doubt that they will make the fixes that were suggested here in time for release.
If they did recycled some animation, like the Dash, then it is not very likely that they will change that to something we prefer. That pretty much is set in stone that after release that we have to deal with — as usual.
Karl’s team have not shown anything that makes me really hopeful on what they can do. It seems to that they are more focus on putting something out, whatever the quality is, rather than putting something out that they can be honestly be proud of.
No, putting effort into something is not something to be proud of. What they should be proud of is delivering a high quality something that makes their efforts worthwhile — and profitable.
So far, I rather spend my money somewhere else — or maybe buy HoT so I can play Reaper since it seems that there is no hope for Thieves.
YES SIR. The truth right there. Unfortunately I already got my deluxe version a day before the PoI…
My post on the recent appreciation thread got deleted recently, shows how sensible they are to realist criticisms.
Again, what they delivered is average at best, if the contents that comes out on October 23rd shows little improvement, it will be the end of us.
Btw Havoc,
What would you recommend, with D/D Staff , ascended gear wise?
i am thinking typical Full valk with full berserk Jewelry
But being ablet to swap them mid-combat is just a no no.
Make it, that you can only swap when you are ooc and maybe disable swap while in PvP completly….Problem solved^^
I have an idea to improve “Bounding Dodger”.
There are complains, that DD is a spec which should stay in combat, but the benefit of this dodge doesn’t help you much, cause often you dont do any dmg, cause you dodge away from target. So, my idea is to inverse the animation for this one, so that the dmg is dealt at the start of the dodge.
1. You sill do dmg while/before dodging AND
2. you get some distance between you and your target.Something like picture below^^
LOL dat backflip doe.
.-.-.-.-.————————————————————————-
On a serious note… I am just waiting for the dev to say something.
It’s weird. Of all the people posting prior to the beta weekend, you did the most to defend the DD.
Thief is in a really bad place. I’m a masochist running P/P. It has its moments but it’s so far from any other setup on any other class, that I don’t understand what they could possibly be thinking.
I am glad you noticed. I really wanted to believe we were in a good position but the testing proved me otherwise.
It’s weird. Of all the people posting prior to the beta weekend, you did the most to defend the DD.
…
That’s prior to testing. Plus they DO hype things up. So, can’t blame or attack him for that.
:/ His sacrifice wasn’t in vain though, people/players that know the class do need to test it to give a better picture than the hyped up one.
And it’s good that he still has/had hope… I mean, hopefully for him the game is still good – and less cynical than some of ours.
hahaha No worries Zero. I am still here, well and life. I got like 1 HP in terms of confidence but I am still here.
that’s a crazy suggestion… That means if you dodge 50 things in 3 seconds (like Ranger arrows and 3 AoE zone) , you may heal back to full HP with Driven Fortitude.
The duels were entertaining, it show how staff, although I am skeptical, has the sufficient tool to fight openly. Staff #3 combined with dodges is priceless, mastering those two is the real crucial point.
GG. well done.
The music is definitely inspired by video games boss fights lol.
i needed to watch a video like this to keep my head up.
Good skills, never thought of using D/D Staff too. It is actually quite smooth.GG
the end made me lol.
I went ahead and played Necro for a while A lot easier than Thief gameplay I would say …. Felt disgusted, came back here to read on the forums.
Like some of you said, it’s not really about the numbers at all, it’s about smoothing things up, and add in some serious synergy between the traits so we can be useful again.
Man I really hope the dev listen to us this time. They are two steps away from ruining this profession, not even exaggerating. That could happen if they decide NOT to fix anything else (but DD) by release.
Hello everybody. First time posting on a necro thread simply because i am a full time thief, but things have been extremely ruff on our side.
I am about to run a necro for the first time, if you could please judge this build.
I hate conditions and i want to avoid it as much as possible.
I wanted more insight in terms of Gear for WvW but also the jewelry for PvP or sigil and runes.
No conditions please…. * sigh*
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vRAQNBIhZakjGqsxabwzG4vBA-TJBFABCcKAEvMgO7PAwTAAA
nice to meet you all.
Reapers were actually pretty easy for me. Just had to apply weakness and wear him down, interrupt his heal, etc. And I think the opposite. Looking pretty positively toward what the spec will be like at launch.
Yeah i don’t know how skilled you are mate, but Reapers GS VS Daredevil Staff is really fight where you have almost no hopes of winning.
Testing the Thief for this Beta left me very skeptical of the outcome of the Thief in general. Almost as if, i was better off not playing.
For WvW and PvP it was truly a challenge to take on a Reaper. When they are not in shourd, it’s an easy kill. Easier than oridinary core builds I would even add, but in reaper shroud it felt like playing Ninja Gaiden. Dead instantly with the wrong move.
S/D with DD is amazing tho, it went really smooth for me.
As for PvE, I felt useless af. A few interrupts here an there, and that’s it. While Revenant is just giving everybody 15-16 of stacks passively I mean.. kitten .
I hope you guys mentioned the pressing need to tackle the core traits because, once again The Daredevil left me very doubtful of this profession’s future.
You must be new here.
^^^ Extremely Ini hungry. It’s inneficient to run both. I ended up giving up S/P to be honest.
Did you guys try S/D with a DD line? It runs so smoothly. I was astonished, especially with Bandit’s Defense.
I think that’s the point OP. If it doesn’t cause damage it would truly OP. It’s the risk you take when you just used Shadow Refuge. Also if you are OOC, you do not shoot out the daggs.
It’s the catch of this spec, you make a serious evasive sacrifice with all 3 options.
TL;DR
Staff animation is truly rushed. I got a Human male, and we feel like are holding a hammer. Animation shoudl be a a little more flashy. Staff #3 animation is truly absent.
I know it’s Beta but they need to step up.
I don’t know if you guys noticed all the builds that were displayed this past week.
Shortbow was nowhere to be found. I would say that out of 10 builds, I found 2-3 builds with bows as secondary.
I pulled S/P – Staff build for WvW and PvP, but I have to say the mobility from SB is unparalleled and it may be realize how great that weapon is.
I ended up playing Staff – ShortBow, much more efficient I would say.
The S/P however, i had a hard time and Impacting Disruption trait was rather disappoint I thought it would great, but it was average.
sorry just a quick shoutout to the Shortbow, the Thief’s loyal friend.
Hope you had fun this weekend ladies and gents.
my experience so far to Mr. Mclain (You can go to the bottom to get the main point. you must be busy
The Staff:
I was really excited for the thief, but the moment i started using the staff I just couldn’t help but notice how odd it was to use.
Mr. Mclain, what is the purpose of this weapon? It’s neither a utility like the SB nor is a heavy damage weapon like the Sword, yet it has abilities like « Debilitating Arc » and Dust Strike on one hand and « Vault » on the other. Mixed signals everywhere.
I really want to know: what is the weapon’s true role?
Staff AA is a little weak, but until we get a clear statement from the dev, it’s hard to see the vision behind the numbers.
Staff #2 should behave like Heartseeker, meaning you press #2 and it aims straight for your target. Somehow, Weakening charge does not aim for the target, It has a directional system to it. making it quite painful. IT goes throught the target (I have no problems with that), but it you keep #2, you end up charging away from your target. No really efficient.
Staff #3 better animation for Debilitating Arc, in terms of visibility. When I press #3, I don’t even realize I used it. That’s how invisible and light the animations are.
Staff #4 an increased casting speed is greatly needed. the animation slow enough to get me killed or sniped.
Staff #5 I am not sure the range satisfies me. but really must be put is the ability to evade with Vault, the animation is really long.
Imparing Daggers
Sometimes I shoot, i get three poisons, other times i get all three conditions, other times i only get imos… (The targets never dodged.) Is there an order set into the skill?
Impact Strike
Please tell us in the tooltip how much time we have before the whole skill resets. Are we supposed to use everything immediately? I use impact strike, I would like to leave it for a few seconds to mix up my combos. It is therefore crucial to know how much time i have left in order to perform everything. Or we just supposed to use back to back.
Bandit’s Defense
Great. Maybe a little too great? I find it amazing, but don’t change it lol.
Synergy with other traits
Aside from Trickery, there is really very little synergy between DD line and other traits.
I tried with Acro… I find it the most promising trait, and there could be great synergy there, but this line is too weak and feels like a waste of space.
I do recuperate pretty well on with Vigorous Recovery, the rest however is just too bad. Acro seriously needs some work and it will be a great addition.
The Dodges
Dodging is very clunky, and it is not because we are not use to the new dodging skill yet.
Bound- The period right after the dodge leaves the Thief static, and gets me killed most of the time.
A smoother transition must be found
I think Bound should be less jumpy. The jump effect should be reduced and subtle, making it a faster animation and a little closer to the typical evade.
Imparing Lotus – Is the best out of the three, I think the range is well thought out even though same may say it’s a little too big.
Dash – VERY clunky and easy to read.
Traits
The traits are good and the competition between the grandmaster Tier fits perfectly. However, I put in question the placement of the traits in the rest of the line.
Weakening Strike is amazing … a little TOO amazing and I wish you would do the same with Sundering Strike, in the Critical Strikes line in terms of cooldowns. or Vice versa.
Staff Master? Should it be an adept?
Driven fortitude, a smaller buff.
Escapist Absolution ? A minor instead of heal on evade?
So first day I did PvE and the last days I did PvP and WvW.
Overall, this line is a great addition to thief, but Mr. Mclain, the synergy with the other traits are average to say the best.
CONCLUSION
.Staff animation needs a rework.. it’s not a hammer.
. Staff Skill #2 #5 should behave like hearseeker and be granted evasion respectively.
. Most dodges are rugged.
. Staff Damage … You tell us boss.
. Syngery is Core traits inexistant except Trickery. very little with CS.
. THANK YOU FOR THIS LINE. I might main this Elite spec line once it comes out.
Edit: Impacting Disruption is underwhelming. I am surprised I have to say this, but the damage is too low.
(edited by Kocoff.7582)
Man I am so sad. I have to attend a wedding tonight…. Love is making me miss out that Staff

looool wat. I just hope the monitors/devs don’t close this.
You forgot a some major ingredient mate.
Some Strawberries
Whipped Cream
and
5 cl of mesmer blood for that confusing “spicy caramel” flavor.
you add this and it’s GG
This trait must be moved because the competition they tried to create between Disruption Impact, Staff Master and Escapist Absolution is inexistant.
I really hope they change the placement. I hope people understand now that Escapist’s Absolution is not OP as it a condition cleanse On Evade. Which still requires you to master your timing to the fullest.
I would even say that it makes your endurance an even more precious resource as it will be directly correlated between victory of death.
Unskilled players will die. Skill players will manage. No surprises there.
EA on DD = Sustain. It’s either this your will start seeing inefficient builds with DD (Revealed Combat) / SA (Stealth Combat) everywhere.
I do not consider dd/sa inefficient at all. I will be using it in a staff build with stealth on steal so as to have access to multiple knockdowns. I will have access to knockdown from a trap , multiple hooks , and bandits defense all without using INI. This is very efficient.
Even the adept trait merciful ambush will allow the use of HOOK on the staff If I am quick enough. I expect the combo of SA/DD will also come in very handy after a fall wherein I will be stealthed and can immediately hook and knockdown a nearby opponent who might have followed.
If the guy manages to stand up after a hook he will still be blinded.
In this build any one of the three traits available at master will be very useful. Staff mastery for that 10 percent added damage and all that Endurance coming in, PI to take advantage of all those interrupts in the build and build some spike damge, or EA for further Condition cleanse if needed.
(WvW build )
That is exactly my point sir. A whole core trait just for Stealth on Steal and naturally,, condi cleanse.
Daredevil easily offers the same amount of sustain, without the use an extra line, with Escapist’s Absolution.
Then again you chose Shadow’s Embrace, cleaning a condition on every steal right? That’s a cleanse every 20 seconds if you add Trickery and that’s quite inneficient ( you only mentioned Stafff as a weapon).
Not only your sustain will be average at best, but then what about your damage?
DD/trickery/ SA? a 1000 Hook Strike won’t be enough to down your target with that level of damage.
That is I why I think it is necessary to move Escapist Absolution to a Minor or an adept, even switch it with Driven Fortitude, to have a more reasonable competition among the master trait tier.
/cast Righteous Bump
What: Teefs and DDs
Why: Remember those days when there was a QQ post every week at least… WELL NOW THEY"RE GONE. Which means, the thief needs more nerfing.
:/ Seriously, the HoT Hype has lessened the QQ’s….
Yes Zero day. Yes.
It’s Bumping Time.
YES THEY DO. If we have to copy paste all this, to make them listen or read that’s what we will do.
OP if I could +9000 you I would, alas I can’t, so just +1 for you.
I plan on having a nice write up if I can get enough time to play during bwe. Already preordered.
Thanks bruv!
It is expected that things will get rebalanced after HoT is released — it’s inevitable.
That’s why players like myself are reserved in buying the Expansion. If ArenaNet balanced it by nerfing Daredevil, or other traits…I’m not buying the Expansion. However, if they balanced it by buffing the Core Traits, then I’ll buy the Ultimate Package. I simply want to get what I paid for (or more, not less), not getting mediocre profession after launch in the name of PvP balance.
Your demands are reasonable but you seem to purposefully forget (even if you only play PvP or WvW) the other contents that come with HoT. Ignoring Raids, PvP maps, WvW map, legendaries, etc. And claiming that “ArenaNet [ will balance] it by nerfing Daredevil, or other traits” is a little unfounded.
Professions are extremely important, but they are about 20% of the expansion but you make it seem like it’s 95%. Believe me, I only care about WvW. The only time I PvE is for a crafting things to make me better/cooler gear for WvW.
Yes, it is only inevitable that a huge – even bigger than the one in June -balancing patch will come by the end of this year. I am looking forward to it.
I just think you should save yourself the hassle, help us send some feedback during the new BWEs and appreciate the game for it’s whole, and not the aspect that concerns just you.
(edited by Kocoff.7582)
You have to see this in the long term. Give this Daredevil line 3-4 months and it will be treated just like another line. The elite spec is so attractive simply because it is new and as Thieves, we have been slowly dying here for quite a while.
It’s pure economics really. It’s new, it’s flashy, so it must be great. Demand will sore, adding value to the trait, as time goes by however, people will revert back to what they really enjoy. Eventually, the value of the elite spec line will drop back down to it’s real value.
Note that there is will be endless fixes, nerfs and buffs for the sake of balancing (they are already talking about nerfing D/D ele for example), this means they will eventually tackle our core traits including Acrobatics.
Give it time.
Gw2 Elite Spec system is simply an expansion of the profession. Just another way to add a “new profession” (apart from example of the revenant). It is not necessarily an upgrade like most people would think, but you need to understand that they have to make it look amazing.
Tomorrow guys. Remember: focus on what really matters:
DD shouldn’t take more than 50% of your feedback.
So this is what it mean?
It grants 10 Endurance, when you first activate it for the time in combat?
So if the fights lasts 2 minutes, and you are still in combat, it won’t give 10 endurance anymore?
This trait must be moved because the competition they tried to create between Disruption Impact, Staff Master and Escapist Absolution is inexistant.
I really hope they change the placement. I hope people understand now that Escapist’s Absolution is not OP as it a condition cleanse On Evade. Which still requires you to master your timing to the fullest.

EA on DD = Sustain. It’s either this your will start seeing inefficient builds with DD (Revealed Combat) / SA (Stealth Combat) everywhere.
sorry but thief is already killing everyone in under 2 seconds from stealth when will we see a limit of crit dmg e.g. no crit should hit for more than 4k and no autoattack for more than 1k so we can actually fight and not be at half health in just under 1 second from start of fight ? and no I am not talking about cases where you are glass canon then its only one second I am talking about having 3k toughness and still getting hit by 8k crits … and please add an ingame report option to report overpowered highdmg builds
hahahahaha you just made my day.
You must be one those dishonorable losers in WvW. When a thief calls you Dishonorable, it’s not a compliment.
God Bless the devs and the BWE cause there will be blood.
If you talking about staff Necromancers (those who put large marks around themselves) try to dodge on the marks.
Your steals become very important especially when they use their #5 in deathshroud (a long green line attached to you).
