Bravo! Bravo! I have done nothing but complain of the more recent content over and over again, but the meat of this next patch looks to be headed gw2 in a crucial direction that it needs closing in on its 1 year anniversary! I am VERY happy, and very excited to play this game now.

I hope this patch sparks my interest and intensity to play once again, as well as everyone else in the community so the game we love can grow strong

Zerging the champions is hardly the quickest way to level. I tested it and I made a ton more experience per hour doing map completion than from the champion events.

When I see them harassing other players, I intentionally spawn and kill the troll to troll them. I’ve also done the same with the bandit and oak.

Free travel to the character’s home city would be awesome.

I like this idea simply because I think it could populate the more desolate home cities just a bit more than they are now. I Love the main cities way more than Lions arch, especially Divinities reach, they put so much love, thought, care and detail into that city, I wish I had more reasons to go back there.

Good tips, however sad that it has to come to a strategy like this to maximize wins. This gametype is amazingly fun and a different take on a lot of the other minigames within GW2 The karka are so ridiculously stupid, and you get killed by them so fast. Players that spawn karka immediately leave and try to find a new match most of the time as well.

Health shouldnt decrease that fast imo if you are not moving around too much either, it is pretty annoying standing still hiding and conserving your energy only to be faced with a “life timer” so to speak before you die. At that point, if the last 2 players are hiding, it’s who has more rations game. Great concept, not well thought out in terms of all the abilities.

Something I loved about gw1 was that aside from armor, all weapons were reusable.

That made rarer skins hold their value, while trash skins cheap. Back then rare items were not rare simply because of their drop rate, but they were only obtainable in certain areas. UW/FoW/Urgoz/Deep those were truly hard places that could not be accomplished solo or with any small party.

I think it’s a great thing but completely destroyed by karka spawning. But yes 2.5k points, crazy lol So much is just sinks and grinds in this game.

And yes, you can still use the term “grind” if it is completely unnecessary.

What’s the point of making such a deep and tactical gametype (which is a breath of fresh air) and add these stupid giant karka taking over the entire map rolling all over you. It’s enough of a pain hunting other players and now we’re being instantly killed and rolled over by these things?

Yeah the second one was a bit harder but i did it with gold still, third, the veterans are so strong..

You were expecting the rapier? I was expecting anet to be just as lazy as they have been.
The rapier itself comes with a different animation and they wouldn’t let us have that without extreme RNG and gems silly.

Already past normal patch time by an hour and still nothing. Somehow I’m not surprised, and when it does actually hit, prepare for a kittenload of bugs.

I’ve been trying to see if it’s possible to do this, NOT because I’m a cheap freeloader, but because I’ve been sharing an account with my brother and we don’t want to lose our first, high level characters when I buy my own account… which I MOST DEFINITELY will do.

I don’t know why you would need either really. Overall maybe Gilded is better. I am currently sitting on 5 million karma and tons of jugs and vials of karma in my storage I have no idea what to do with at the moment. I may turn them into things I can sell for gold but I don’t need it at the moment.

As if these chest dropped anything of value or worth whatsoever…….

I have no shame. Anet wanted to create a god kittening awful NPC to play against that practically cheats against you, so I cheated too. Just use a box o’ fun and set it to petrify, and use it during the match. And you will just ooc constantly after every drink and heal up, no work needed.

Fair is fair IMO. They aren’t cheats if they level the playing field.

I don’t even know how long I sat there in petrification before he drank HIMSELF to death. It was ridiculous.

You realize if they’re doing legendary trinkets stats will be the same as ascended (which we already have) So the thing that they are going to add are effects to our characters to make them much cooler looking than they are now. Use your head a little bit please. My god.

I don’t really know how this could work. Up until now, all the instruments are types that could be played with one sort of tone. Not saying that there is not much to playing those instruments but playing a stringed instrument as opposed to the ones we have now is very very different so making the right sound would require a lot of work and I just dont think it would be as nice as you think.

You’re missing the point. Crafting in this game is practically useless and unless you’re looking to get a quick extra level here and there or using one of the very few (and I mean VERY FEW) things at max craft to help you along like exotics or some food you should not be using it at all.

You say the TP is too expensive, but it’s the exact opposite of that, you can find suitable gear for yourself at any level for pennies on what you would have to shell out to get some mats to craft it.

However I do understand what you’re saying though, exploring the open world, it is hard to find the necessary mats for your tier according to your level, and yes, the tiers are very prominent as to what materials they are but as far as what zones they begin/end in, it is pretty random and I Don’t think much thought was given to them other than “Okay this is a hard zone, lets put the hardest one here, and this is the easiest, lets put the easy ones here….” Etc

Bottom line is, either spend your karma to buy the armor in the zones (what I did when the game was first released) or just save up some mats and sell them on the TP and buy yourself armor for a couple silver a piece depending on what level you are. Rares are not NOT needed even until 70-80, even then you really don’t need them. Don’t bother with crafting, it isn’t like other games where leveling/crafting can be achieved hand-in-hand fashion.

Dont pug with groups who are all members of the same guild. I don’t even like being in groups of all people from my guild. Chances are guild groups are carrying/teaching other guildies or doing and EXTREMELY casual run.

In your case in particular you should know the risk involved in pugging, the 2 vote system as literally been here since the game came out. Now you claim it’s Areana net’s fault, whoopdy do. You should also be aware that it’s partly your own fault for not being more careful.

I for one like the two vote system, and I enjoy the responsibility that it comes with.

With the help of another jumping puzzle fanatic guildie, I finally made it to the crow’s nest at the top of the scaffolding.

There is no jumping puzzle or platforming. The only thing that will even get you that high up is to refill your charges on your jump with a mesmer most likely. Just a trick. I don’t think it was ever intended.

This isn’t entirely accurate. There are other ways to make money in gw2 than cof p1 (and I’m not referring to playing the TP). While these ways might be slightly slower or require more effort, they’re kitten ring so that’s always a plus.

Also as far as I recall, cof p1 is more like 6g per hour, are you finding bad pugs or running it sub-optimally?

@OP as I stated above, as far as pure gold per hour dungeoneering/exploring/meta events etc there is nothing close to cof in terms of GPH/Day
Even grinding cofp1 for hours a day it will still take you a huge amount of time to amass enough gold for a legendary and its materials. Therefore my statement was in fact, very accurate. Elitists will always try to belittle you subtly because unfortunately they have already invested the time and effort prior to times that are now and have completed their grinds before things were nerfed.

Inflation really isnt much of the issue. The biggest issue now is the nerfing of pretty much anything farmable, or droppable of any kind. Esp t6 mats. On any given day I could net maybe a handful, 5-10 if I play for a long kitten time.
