Looks like 90% of the replies did not even read my whole post.

Yes, doing 5 dailies is easy and takes 5 minutes. Doing all 14-16 + PvP involves having to do some of the longer ones which takes 2-4 hours, depending on which ones are available.

And yes, they are not mandatory to most people, but for the minority that is trying to compete with their server’s top achievement point ranking they are. If you are not able to commit 4 hours on any given weekday then you WILL drop down in ranks. This commitment is a little much to ask I think.

You may say it is not an issue, but it clearly is. Two of my friends QUIT the game because of this.

The dailies are too much, even for hardcore players.

I just had two friends quit the game within the past week because they could not afford to spend 2-4 hours every single day to get all dailies done. These friends were both hardcore – one with 12501 AP and other with 10339 AP.

I know people will say “You don’t HAVE to do all the dailies”. But, the truth is hardcore players will try to stay on the rankings and will try to do all of them every day.

I think a possible solution for this is to cap the PvE dailies at 10AP/day. This would let the game have more of the advertised “play how you want” feel.

Are you slightly more hardcore than the average GW2 player and looking for a guild with like-minded people? Look no further.

Still have this issue. Please fix it or give us an in-game last login function.

Details:
When trying to get leaderboard info for my large guild, the request seems to timeout and return what was previously being displayed instead.

I went through 2 bags of popcorn reading this thread. I love it.

Please make worlds 3 and 4 even harder so I can see more threads like this.

How about posting a video of how to do that last part… 99% of the people who want to watch the video are looking for just that one part.

I can’t believe how rude and selfish most of the people on this thread have been.

I got 3/4 achievement points and I’m happy that I got to keep the achievement points I earned and now I get to do the monthly again. I’m also happy for the people who did 4/4 and got 10 extra laurels – good for them.

Someone else having 10 more laurels does not hurt me in any way. That’s like being mad at Anet for starting to give out laurels before I started playing and complaining that some people have 200+ laurels saved up…

Infinite Light, Immobulus, The Crossing, The Mad Moon, Arachnophobia, Cooguloosh, and Seasatchel will all allow their stats to be permanently chosen as a one-time ability but not become account bound.

I’m at work for a few more hours so I can’t get in-game and check, but I’m really curious what happened. I had a couple of these items listed on the TP and I hope they were not taken off to force me to choose stats. If they were taken down, were listing fees reimbursed?

You don’t lose out on anything, you can still get your 10 laurels by completing the monthly.

I don’t care for laurels or achievement points, but I do care for my time.

If you managed to do a portion of the monthly in 3 days then you should have no trouble completing them in 27 days.

You only lost if you got the Karma infusion.

Who cares if others get some extra rewards?

I was at 3/4 and I’m happy that the monthlies reset because now I will get more achievement points. Focus on the fact that you are benefiting from this, and not that others are benefiting a little more.

We have a mix of people in your age bracket and also some in their 20s and 30s. Overall, we have a pretty mature group and we joke around a lot in TS.

We mainly focus on PvE and have veteran players who know all dungeons very well.

like through a secret cave to a secret lake, at the center of the lake you get achivemtn and recieve a specific sword(skin) in the achivement

Yes! So many possibilities. Please Anet, give us more fun achievements.

Small things like this are much easier to implement than entirely new content, and they can be just as, if not more, fun to do.

How experienced are you guys?

Before you make the switch to Blackgate, you should consider Darkhaven Elite. Our priorities align with what you’re looking for.

I think it’s safe to assume that higher quality salvage kits will have a higher chance of retrieving EoLs.

I always support Anet by buying these permanent items which very slightly improve the in-game quality of life. The Copper-Fed Salvage-o-Matic was really cutting it close in terms of how financially inefficient it is, but I still decided to buy it because I do occasionally salvage whites/blues/greens to free up space without caring for the resulting mats.

This wasn’t a big deal until I saw this:

We’re removing Magic Find as an equipment stat. Instead, your Magic Find will now be an account-wide bonus that applies to all of your characters. You can boost your account’s Magic Find using Essences of Luck, which can be earned by salvaging Fine or Masterwork items.

The Salvage-o-Matic is the lowest quality salvage kit (10% chance for rare materials), so I probably won’t be using it anymore since I will want to have a higher chance to get these Essences of Luck. So, thanks Anet for selling me an item with very limited use and then in the very next update making it completely useless.

I know the LFG system is already in the works, but I’d like to request some features for it. I assume that this LFG tool will form teams automatically, so I hope that it can be fed some options to customize our teams as we see fit.

Two features I’d most like to see are:

1. Option to form groups only within a guild.
2. Option to request certain class compositions.

They should let us turn a stack of mini queen jennahs into a mystic coin, then at least there would be SOME long term loyalty reward.

I like seeing the achievements I’ve completed, and it takes very little effort to manually remove them from the list.

I think all magic find items should just be deleted to punish those who shamelessly leeched off others for months.

In order to avoid making another related thread, I’ll post this question here.

Will the ascended weapons be account bound or soul bound? Do I need to have the crafting discipline on the character that I want the weapon on?

I have 1.5k hours on my ele, and I know how to play the class very well with every weapon set.

I can confidently say the class is currently garbage.

I love SAB, but I don’t mind it being temporary.

The social aspect of the game is only what you make of it.

If you are part of a large friendly guild then you will always be able to find people to help out.

I believe they are here to stay.

Since then, I’ve seen this suggested every day across all forums. There has been no response from the devs, so it probably is not happening.

I hope you do find a serious dungeon running guild that doesn’t mind being used.

It’d be really nice if we could see a schedule for at least the last 2 days before the invasions end. I’ve been at 12/13 invasions for 5 days now. I play for 3-4 hours per day, at random times, and I have not yet seen my last missing map.

Please give us a schedule so I can plan accordingly to finish my achievement.

I agree, the radiant helm is VERY UGLY. I have the radiant set but I don’t use it because the helm is so ugly.

I guess I’ll wait until I have 19k points in about a year to get the hellfire helm instead.

Only way to get lots of achievement points is to play ALL aspects of the game.

I agree that doing dailies is becoming too much of a chore. I think they should cap the number of points you can get at 10 per day. This way, we would still have some freedom to only do the things we enjoy.

I agree that we need more skill-based achievements like “Light Up the Darkness”

I don’t mind time specific achievements like the fireworks show.

I definitely dislike RNG achievements like “Invasion Canceller”. I’ve been stuck at 12/13 and I might not even get the chance to complete this if Iron Marches doesn’t happen to come up while I’m playing.

I love achievements and I use them as goals for what to do next in the game. I think the PvE achievements are a little lacking and I would like to see more long term achievements in PvE like the ones in WvW.

I think it’d be fun to see some more general achievements added to the game. Here are some examples:

“Dye Collector” – Unlock all normal set dyes on one character
“Tireless Explorer” – 100% World Completion on 5 characters
“Jumper” – Complete all jumping puzzles
“Heartless” – Kill 10 million ambient creatures
“Stylish” – Change hair style 10 times
“Dancer” – Dance for 100 hours
“Ninja” – Dodge 1 million attacks
“I Believe I Can Fly” – Die from fall damage 100,000 times
“Hoarder” – Unlock all bank slots + bag slots on one character
“<City Name> Dweller” – Spend 100 hours in any major city
+ “City Slicker” – Dweller in all cities
“Pigeon Abuser” – Send 10,000 Mails

…And so on. So many fun Achievements/Titles Anet could add.

Darkhaven Elite [DHE] is a guild full of dungeon enthusiasts. We run dungeons all the time.

We consider ourselves more “Semi-Hardcore” than “Casual”, simply because we like to be efficient with out runs. Our attitude is always casual though because we joke around and don’t mind teaching people who are newer to specific paths.
