I’m not too excited about that, I’d really like if they added the title sooner rather than later.

None of the data mined results found any character specific birthday present items. I hope this is only because Anet have not added them to the data files yet. I loved birthday presents in GW1 and hope that we will get them in GW2 as well.

Don’t worry about damage at the beginning because you don’t do much anyway. Save your DPS and just be ready to use CC as soon as meat is thrown. Do this for 2-3 meats, and then you should have enough damage to kill Chomper. Try not to have to eat 4 meats because the 4th one will stun you.

The casual players have been being catered to all along, and even in this patch they got the entire “Queen’s Jubilee” achievement section where they can get rewarded just for doing things. Please be considerate of hardcore players and don’t complain to Anet about finally giving us content too. The “Light Up the Darkness” achievement took me 30 hours of pain and frustration to complete, but finally getting it gave me the most rewarding and euphoric feeling that I have ever experienced in GW2. I want more content like this, so please casual players, don’t take this away from me.

Please Anet! The feeling of finally completing this achievement after 30 hours of pain and frustration was very rewarding in itself, but I would love to have a title to go along with it. If nothing else, it will remind me of the most rewarding moment I have ever had in this game.

In my opinion you should get a title for completing ALL of the gauntlet achievements, not only this one.

The difficulty level of all other gauntlet achievements does not even compare to “Light Up the Darkness” so this doesn’t really matter.

Doing “Light Up the Darkness” DEFINITELY was the hardest thing ever in this game. It took me 200+ tries to complete on my Ele. I found this to be harder than soloing Lupi.

We have many hardcore players who know the ins and outs of all classes, and also have the top 4 achievement point rankers on our server. If you guest on Darkhaven, it probably won’t take long to notice how revered DHE is.

We are always running things together, and most of us enjoy all aspects of the game. In addition to having groups doing dungeons/wvw/tpvp together at virtually all times, we also have scheduled guild events where the entire guild does stuff together, which you can see on our calendar.

On the calendar, you may also notice that we have two nights per week for “Dungeon Teaching”, where experienced players take groups of 4 members who have not done a particular path and teach them all the tricks.

We currently only recruit experienced players, but you seem like you are both qualified.

Maggie, you guys sound like a great group of people!

I think our guild would be an ideal fit for you, but one big obstacle is that we are on a different server. If if you are willing to transfer then I think this merge could be the best decision you guys would make for you gw2 experience, and we could work something out about helping you finance the move.

We are a large guild, and we have fun people who enjoy all aspects of the game. Although our numbers are big (450), many of us have been together since the game’s launch and know each other very well. We have that family feel that is usually only found in small guilds, and many of us spend hours on end in TeamSpeak, even when not playing the game. We are extremely organized and have scheduled events throughout the week. We also run missions on a schedule that you can view on our calender, and we always finish all missions in under 1 hour without breaking a sweat.

The upkeep of such organization takes a lot of work, and we have many tasks split up among officers. That being said, if you or anyone else in your guild likes to be involved in guild management, we could give you some power and responsibility.

I’m not sure how much you enjoy T1 WvW. If that’s something you are really into, then you probably wouldn’t want to step down to a lower tier WvW server. However, I can assure you that we have tons of fun doing organized WvW with small groups rather than zergs. Additionally, there are never queues for borderlands (and ~10-15 min for EB), so you can do WvW whenever you feel like it.

The question I have now lets say I have all the achievements for all this seasonal content. When it comes back around the second time will there be enough new stuff to keep me entertained?

That’s what I’m wondering too. If during Halloween I see that they are just reusing the same old achievements and skins instead of creating a whole new set, I’m going to move on to another game.

I don’t mind if they enable people who missed the previous years to be able to get the achievements, but this should not limit the amount of new content. Also, rare skins should not be reintroduced.

I’ll keep this short. We are a large guild, but we have a small/medium size group of core members who are pretty hardcore. We have teams running dungeons 24/7, and we do PvP tournaments almost daily. Many of our members know the ins and out of every class and have been playing since Beta (many are also GW1 veterans). One fun statistic is that we have 4 out of the top 5 achievement point rankers on our server.

As to the point of this specific release, there are a ton of permanent features and content. From the update of mini-games becoming permanent on a rotation, champion loot, solo queue PvP and leaderboards, dungeon reward changes, currency wallet, PvP leaver penalties (dishonorable), the FX culling system and more!

I love seeing that all these features are being released – this shows that you do listen to the player community. I hope that now that you have completed your living story portfolio, you will be able to address more of the core content that desperately needs to be updated.

Since the living story events are already quite well polished, I hope that you will now put them on the back burner and give priority to implementing all the content that affects everyday gameplay: Guild Features, LFG, Duels, Alliances, Hard-Mode Dungeons, TP Filter Improvements, New General/Fun Achievements, and eventually Guild Halls and GvG (to name a few).

Anet releasing the Wallet gives me hope that someone on their team does care for working on content that is important to the players and will make our lives easier. I just hope that person will come across all the guild feature suggestions.

I agree – this can be very frustrating sometimes.

While I do like having new content every month, I think it would be beneficial to everyone if Anet took a step back and focused on polishing the hundreds of little game features that are currently lacking.

I saw this reddit post about taking a drastic measure to get our voices heard. Even though this is a large sacrifice for me personally, I will commit to this protest and also encourage my guildies to do the same.

It pains me to support such a violent approach to make Anet see what the community wants, but I believe this is for the best.

I’m not sure why Anet just can’t quite get their priorities straight. Guild feature request posts have been flooding the Suggestions forums since August 2012, but they still don’t find this a priority. Please Anet, be the gaming company that we think you are and listen to the community.

As an aside (since Anet is stuck in a box and can’t find a perspective from which guild features are a priority), all of my rl friends and many in-game friends have quit the game as a direct result of the guild features being lacking and Anet neglecting to address them over the last 11 months.

Yes. It’s a pretty natural phenomenon.

Take final rest for example – people were willing to pay 2000g for it back when it was thought to be so unique that they would be the only one to wield it. Now that it’s common, people don’t want it even for 4g.

On a slightly different note, is it even clear what the actual issue is? Was it that the drop rate was too high? Or were we not supposed to be able to forge them at all (which would be odd since how else can you get the exo colossus)? Were they only supposed to give the exo colossus when the rares upgraded to exos subsequent to a successful MF try? Were they supposed to be account-bound? I’m still not sure what the specific issue is, except that it relates to the rare holo and the MF.

As people have pointed out in this thread, the regular minis (original set) are completely separate from event minis. No other event minis out of the 50+ that have been released periodically since launch ever worked in the forge. Without a doubt, the people who abused this exploit knew exactly what they were doing.

The reason the prices have gone back up is because people bought out all the low priced minis and are stockpiling them. They will slowly introduce them back into the market. That’s the smart way to do it, because it will maintain a strong price of their investment.

However, the damage due to this exploit has already been done. The supply for these exotic minis was extremely low in the past, which was reflected by their prices. Right now, the people who control the mini market are holding on to hundreds of them instead of a few.

Little worried now… Always looking for event bargains(selling the dragon coffers early when they were 10-13s when event went live knowing they’d go down) and thought this was another new thing. Didn’t ring any bells immediately after first and only attempt (4 or 5 forges when they were 1.8g), then kinda made no sense after checking pet price history, then realised it was Wintersday all over again, but worse.

Pulled all my orders and really worried now. Made a big loss on it so hopefully I don’t get in any trouble from this. Should’ve followed the saying “If it’s too good to be true, it probably is” and stick to normal trading

To those who did it way more times, they should get the appropriate justice though.

In past experience, Anet has found a way to make the punishment fit the crime. I think if you used the exploit once by accident, then you won’t get anything more than a slap on the wrist. The people who used it 10 or more times and stockpiled/sold 1000g+ worth of minis will probably be banned or suspended and have their profits removed.

Yes, this is no longer profitable. But the person who discovered this bug made thousands of gold. I don’t think it’s ever in Anet’s intention to have someone make 5000g+ in 1 hour.

Yeah, the people who first discovered this were turning 4x 1gold rolls into 200g jack-a-lops…

With 25% chance to upgrade and 4g per play, this is statistically equivalent to turning 16g to anywhere between 70g to 220g – EVERY TIME. This is without a doubt an exploit.

I hope they realize this sooner rather than later, and then find a way to patch it up.

Every week, it takes me about 2 hours to manually look through the list achievement leaderboards to identify inactive members among our 450+ members. Is there an API that would give us access to this leaderboards information?

If not, I have started trying to do this myself by attempting to scrape the leaderboard webpage – but I haven’t been successful due to having to login to the website. I’m trying to write a python script to login and then retrieve the webpage that contains the leaderboard for my guild. I’m using the python library requests to try to achieve this. However, the login is not successful and when I access the leaderboard for my guild it redirects to the general leaderboard.

Could anyone please help me login to the gw2 website with python-requests?

The guild heroes banners don’t stack past 1, and we did not realize this and wasted a lot of influence. Please fix them to stack.

While you are on it, please also let us queue up multiple Guild Heroes Banners at the same time.

Please either give us something to spend Guild Merits on or increase the cap. We have 250/250 merits and the only thing we use them on is the Guild Heroes Banner, which we can only queue up one at a time.

With that, we spend about 15-20 merits per week, and earn 110 from missions. This is making us lose interest in guild missions, which has been the main focus for our entire guild for some time. Losing interest in missions will most likely lead to losing interest in the game.
