Yes, please add this. I’m a dye fiend, I need it.

This sounds like a fun idea for the future – after bug fixes and some more important features are implemented.
I like the idea but I can see how blocking someone’s chat with one report can easily be abused. Maybe extend this so that 10 reports lead to a block. And still keep a harsh punishment for false reports.

I think world (home-server only) chat with a cost of 10s per message or so is a good idea. We would just need Anet to react quicker to the “Spammer Reports” because I see the same people spamming gold sales hours after my reports – this could get really annoying if it were in World Chat.
1. I disagree 100%
2. There should be an option to enable that – large guild might get spammed too much if this was a forced feature.
3. Yes, and also when you log in.
4. YES, YES, YES. This should have been your first point. I wouldn’t mind if this information was accessible to all members either. (Last login date is a must)
5. I agree, please make tags unique – at least unique on the same server.
6. I don’t care much about this one.
7. I disagree, the prices will not be that bad in the long run.
8. I’m indifferent about this one.
I don’t think Arenanet should worry about providing us with such a feature. In fact, I prefer if they devote their servers to in-game content.
You can however post screenshots to their facebook page or to a guild page if you are a member of a guild that does this.
Nefarious,
If this was not going to impact my game experience I would not be speaking up against it.
Also, you can’t assume you have the majority of players backing you on this issue just because a few +1’ed your suggestion. I hope Arenanet devs choose to ignore this suggestion and focus their efforts on ones that would benefit all players.

I don’t like this one because a big part of PvP is being able to guess your opponent’s class by looking at them.
I support your changes but I would like to suggest one small change. I think the Karma reward for completing the Story Mode with a member who has not previously completed that dungeon should be increased. This would give players incentive to help other players with completing their story dungeons.
If it makes you feel any better, I think the light armor helm looks worse than the medium armor one.
Either way, if you don’t like it don’t wear it. I’m sure you can find plenty of helms that you like.
No need to put down my opinion just because it is different from yours. I think that this feature would negatively impact my game experience, that’s all.
If I must give you a concrete reason then I can say that it would make my fellow guildies pay less attention to the guild chat because they’d be busy talking on other guild chats.
Yes, I want dueling too but there is no need to spam suggestions about it. It will come sooner or later.
I think taking away the exclusivity of guild chat would take away from guilds feeling like communities. I think this suggestion is no different from asking to be able to see multiple map chats even while not on that map. It simply does not make sense.

This would greatly enhance my WvW experience.

I disagree. I think you should only see the guild chat from the guild you are currently representing. Please leave as is.

I agree with this suggestion.

Our guild might fall apart if this feature is not introduced within the next month.

I think this is a good suggestion.
I disagree with this suggestion. I play a staff elementalist so most of my attacks are AOE. I think the occasional misclick that makes my AOE miss allows these skills to do more damage without need for further balancing. If AOE skills were automatically targeted, they would need do be slightly nerfed.
500 is a reasonable cap. Anything with over 500 members is no longer a guild.
@Illushia
The difference between level 78 and 80 exotics is all I ask for. Unfortunately, at the moment that is not the case. Legendaries right now have the exact same stats as level 80 Exotics.
Yes, I played Guild Wars 1. And I too am a fanboy of GW and support most of Anet’s decisions.
However, there is a seemingly large factor that is being overlooked here. The purely aesthetic upgrade system in Guild Wars 1 served to preserve a PvP balance. In GW 2, this whole PvP aspect that requires this pristine balance has been completely separated from the PvE portion of the game. That being said, there is no reason why PvE players who have worked hard for a year to earn a legendary item should have their reward diminished simply because a PvP balance must be preserved. Arenanet has succeeded in making the two mutually exclusive so they should also consider introducing the perks that can be added and improvements that can be made due to this successful separation.
They would be very low on my feature requests list.
Please do not lower the cost of the Legendary weapons and please, please, please make their stats at least Slightly higher than exotics. The amount of time required to make a legendary weapon is very immense and a slight stat advantage is well deserved.
I know this idea was originally shunned but with the sPvP separate from PvE/WvW there will not be a balancing issue due to this difference.
I’ve read through all the suggestions so far and wanted to highlight the ones I liked most.
First of all, I agree with all the people suggesting TP preview and more customizable filters.
Then, here are a few less frequent suggestions that I think are very important:
2. (a) Don’t put skills on cooldown if you interrupt your own skill mid-animation without effect- If I interrupt a skill mid-animation with a dodge roll, the skill incurs a very large cooldown (not the full cooldown, but large enough to have a major impact). The skill should obviously undergo the full cooldown if the skill actually had an effect before the interruption took place. However, if the skill is interrupted shortly after the animation start and the skill is not allowed to have any effect then that skill should not incur a cooldown, or have a much shorter cooldown.
(b) Skills should go on full cooldown if interrupted by an opposing player- Converse to the above suggestion, skills should undergo the full cooldown if an opposing player interrupted your skill (as opposed to you yourself interrupting it). The player interrupting the skill blew a cooldown trying to interrupt your key ability, you should not be able to reuse that ability shortly thereafter.
Would love to see Officer/Admin chat for guilds and guild notes.
Show messages for when guild members come online
A Little list of things I would like to change for guilds.
- Show message of the day as a welcome message in chat when players log in.
- When editing the message of the day, make it so that it’ll show the previous one so you don’t have to type everything again.
- Make it easier for people in chat to see which people are leaders/commanders/officers etc. and make it so that leaders can select which group shows what indication. as for indication a simple star would be nice, gold star, silver star, bronze star, just so people know who their dealing with (have had a lot of people in our guild who just didn’t know which people were which rank)
- Last online/Last Represent, We like to keep an active group.
- Let leaders see how much influence a person got for the guild.
- When sorting players on online-offline don’t show Invited first.
When sorting players on rank maybe let the leaders make a ranking?
- Guild chat mute, for the people who just don’t want to kick, but don’t want to speak to them either, and a nice punishment.
- Make Complaint(?) Have an options so that other guild members can make a complaint for another guild member, and that these are send to guild leaders? We often have people who are just plain rude to someone, or start spamming and other stuff, but there are not allways officers or leaders online, having something like this would be great.
This last quote is similar to my original post, but I think it is important to reiterate the importance of improving guild options in “Guild” Wars and only guild leaders actually get to experience the many shortcomings of the current system.
I couldn’t find the appropriate section for this post, because it’d fit best in a guild-related portion of a Suggestions/Feature Requests section. I do, however, want to share this with everyone because I think these are much needed features. I am also curious to see if other people also feel this way (if you do please reply to bring this to the Devs’ attention)
The guild functionality is a little lacking. Here are some things that I think could greatly improve it:
-Access to more detailed info for each member
Infromation such as “Last Login”, “Join Date”, “Last Rank Change Date”, “Influence Contribution”, etc. should be somehow publicly available to guild members.
-Split up the “Admin Lower Ranks” permission into “Invite Members”, “Kick Members”, “Change Ranks of Lower Members”
-Change the sorting of members by status to differentiate between Representing and Not Representing
-Add functionality/permission for “Mute Member’s Guild Chat”
-Add “Date Invited” field or and automatic time-out for guild invitations
-Make the message of the day field retain the previous message when the text editor is brought up
-More guild upgrades (this is a general statement and most likely already is in development but I thought I might as well bring it up)
-(Another long shot feature) Add a tab that has sign ups for Dungeon, WvW, or sPvP teams. Something where members could just click join (maybe if they have the required permission) and would greatly help teams organize.
I left out a few other things that are most likely bugs and not missing features.
I am a guild leader with 250 members and management is getting very tedious without some of these features. I would put adding “Last Login” and “Influence Contribution” fields and splitting up the “Admin Lower Ranks” as highest priority in terms of aiding successful guild management.
