Not sure if there’s an Asura equivalent of bionics, but if it works for you go for it.

Another angle may be a simple muscular mutation. Considering one of the race abilities of theirs is Radiation field (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Radiation_Field), and I recall Logan mentioning something about growing extra limbs from various forms of radiation, I can assume radiation works in a similar way to other fictitious settings.

So rather than turning green and growing large muscles and sporting purple pants, your Asura can simply be a mini-hulk Warrior who mistakes adrenaline for radiation levels :P

Character sex change

They need to implement this soon. Not for a sex change but definitely need to change character hairstyle and might as well skin color too…made an Asura with the headband style and cannot change the color of it…very frustrating so I want to get rid of that.

I think the problem with this idea is that it’s not nearly broad enough as a weapon type. I could imagine fan-style skins on foci, but it’s just too specific. Even katana is too specific when we’ve already got “sword” and “big sword.”

Good point.

But that’s exactly why I’m more or less basing the validity of the idea on how the skills themselves are handled.

You say war fan is too specific and could be a skin of the focus? Well Thief doesn’t get a focus. Katana is too specific with Sword and Greatsword around? Well Elementalist don’t get any swords…

If the models and skills were handled properly, of course you can expand those into weapon classes of their own…but then this is hitting on the subject of “More Weapon Skins” vs “More Weapon Skills”. If the OP is primarily concerned with getting a fan in the hands of his character for looks then yeah, just roll that into focus.

I realize that we are applying logic to a world of magic and endless arrow quivers, but seriously, fans? I know some could be used as weapons, but those were intended for unprotected targets. Try hitting bear with a block of hardened wood and some hardened metal. All you’ll do is piss it off.

If there ever is a Canthan expansion, best to stick to the stuff known to work:
1-handed swords- katanas
2 handed swords- Zanbaodao

Oh and Monk Spades. Gotta have monk spades somewhere.

Lol does a Guardian even hit anyone with their staff? I know my Elementalist doesn’t actually cut anyone with a dagger.

The viability of the weapon shouldn’t be a point since for every non-melee profession, they’re not actually using the weapon to harm someone but more or less using it as a kind of focus to channel power. I think the only oddball is Mesmer who actually use a scepter to smack someone after blocking them, everyone else shoots stuff out of their scepters. But yeah, no one uses a scepter, focus, staff, torch, warhorn to hit people with them.

As for a war fan, I’d say it’d depend how they handle the skills of the weapon type. It’d probably be a Mesmer/Elementalist/Thief and how each are handled would determine their viability.

-Could be their version of a Warhorn that summons and buffs allies.
-Could be a more controlly type weapon that moves and disorients foes.
-Could be a weapon that makes Air attunement crazy good damage (like it’s suppose to be)

Are those PvP numbers? Or maybe my Valk Amulet is the Dollar Store variety…I was thinking of going Soldier’s to balance out my toughness a bit but I’ve only got 17k HP. How are some able to go past 19k? I guess really expensive gear since mine is only a fresh lvl 80 but I’m still rather confused where all that good gear actually is. The dungeon armor doesn’t seem like it’s such a huge leap past the good crafted stuff.

Yes, allowing all traits available in any of the line’s slots (if I was interpreting that correctly) doesn’t really solve the problem Elementalist has…heck, most of the traits in Air I think are rather lackluster but just being able to cherry pick all the good ones just ignores the bad ones.

I like the choices that you have to settle with, I just wish they were all a bit more balanced and polished specifically so that, as a specialist in Fire or Air or whatever, you’d want and can swap between ALL the traits you have depending what utilities and weapons you left town with because they’re all viable.

I sort of do that now, as a 0/30/0/30/10 but that’s mainly to swap out my cantrip focused traits with glyph focused ones when I swap tactics/weapons. Technically I don’t have to because of how minimal it changes the set up and because of dumb bugs (seriously, the faster charging cantrip trait needs to work for Mist Form).

Because ‘just being first’ isn’t always an option. If what I were asking were unreasonable, I’d say yeah you’re right…but you’re just attempting to be contrary. Beyond fixing all the annoying issues of multiple instances for one party, ironing out these specifics probably reside in the same realm of adjustments.

Sure, I don’t (in PvE) but then I wasn’t aiming for the idea to make Elementalist supreme tanks. Frankly, if a utility line like I’m imagining were to crop up, they’d be situational survival tools just like Mist Form, Armor of Earth and Arcane Shield is.

What I meant wasn’t that they have no means to survive but more or less have more varied options (like the mentioned utilities) to survive.

Not sure if you mean I can stack tons of Toughness and Vitality and straight tank stuff like I see Guardians do, Kat, but to me, Elementalist survival hinges on their utilities and heals/traits (to extend their up-time). That isn’t how Mesmer plays out and they tend to be a lot better off surviving. Not that what Elementalist has/does is a bad thing but more and cooler options for it isn’t a bad thing.

Just had an idea today while at work and after reading some thoughts on Tornado last night. Wouldn’t it be cool if, when the devs add new utilities to the professions, for Elementalist, they focused on Transformations?

That and make the Transformations not suck. I think such utilities are a prime way to shore up Elementalist survivability if changed right. While transformed, maybe have another health pool to draw from like the Necromancer’s morphed form but have the cool downs longer.

That and add a couple more transformations and add traits that improve upon them like cantrips, signets, glyphs and arcane do.

Would be cool to build an Elementalist around the abilities to transform into a tornado/whirlpool, storm cloud and volcano.

Armor of Earth vs Mist form

Because the topic seemed to have evolved, my stance is:

Mist Form = Very versatile. I’ve mainly been Dagger/Dagger so it offers a near certain chance of escape when you need it. You can also use it to keep rezzing or bringing up a downed ally for a known amount of time. It does, however, lock you out of doing decent damage. I’ve tried the trait that lets you deal damage and chill foes while in Mist Form and it’s not bad but defeats the purpose of the ability.

Armor of Earth = Indispensable as a COMBAT defense tool. It also helps with those interruptible skills like Churning Earth, breath attacks and Ether Renewal. Combined with the trait that grants toughness while channeling and it makes an even bigger difference. Combined with the Water trait that grants % damage for each boon and it can boost your damage noticeably for its duration.

Arcane Shield = I’ve never been a huge fan of. In my eyes, as a defensive tool, it lacks because it’s not a stun break and it only blocks 3 attacks. The thing about that is, lots of attacks accumulate over several hits, doing the majority of their damage on the last hits. Basically, it’s giving you the chance to dodge the big hits but if you don’t, then AS fails you. Not only that but the damage on break is only good if foes are around you…which means you didn’t dodge before it broke.

Mist Form means you can do crazy stuff like initiate combat and get away with it. Armor of Earth is for when you know you’re going to get hit and helps absorb it. Arcane Shield is for when you want to cause damage from being hit?

Not bagging on AS but I’ve not used it much and find it a waste compared to Arcane Wave which does nearly twice the damage in the same radius, has less than half the recharge AND is a Blast Finisher.

If you have room in your build for Arcane Shield, you need to swap it out for Arcane Wave.

…this is all IMO of course.

Cone of Cold

Ether Renewal’s heals is about average, healing around 400 per tic over 4 seconds like Melkiah said. That comes to about 100 HP less heal than Glyph of Harmony.

The trade offs are:
-Heals a bit less
-It’s a 4 second channel
-Can be interrupted
-It’s not a Glyph, Signet, Arcane or Cantrip so isn’t affected by traits that do
~It will wipe all conditions from you as it can remove 12 over its cast
~It recharges fastest @ 15 seconds. With cast time included, it’s available every 19 or 20 seconds vs 25 seconds
~It’s a channel, it synergizes with other abilities that are channels like Zephyr’s Focus (100% Endurance regen) and Obsidian Focus (+170 toughness at lvl 80) which grant bonuses while channeling

Ether Renewal is a good heal in PvE when you can easily kite npc foes or jump out of a fight to bring yourself back up. Probably the worst heal for PvP. In WvW, it depends, do you run into lots of conditions? I find it’s very serviceable when you’re trying to run away and someone tosses a chill, cripple or immobilize on you to stop you. Player traps aren’t as intimidating when you can just walk through them.

That said, I think I might revise my build since I run mainly cantrips. With 30 in water, I can set it up to give regen with every cantrip, have cantrips recharge faster and get +2% damage for every boon I have on me. Cleansing Fire will be there to remove conditions and give me regen (but inferior to Ether Renewal) while Glyph or Harmony will give me a boon to do more damage.

Not sure if I’ll like the new build but I’m sure I can get used to it.

I support grinding over luck factor.

I’ve put in multiple hours every day during these events, bought 10 keys with gems, had about 18 saved over 3 characters and saved at least 16 mystery tonics from past chests opened (don’t ask me why I saved them, but I did). So I opened around 30 chests, probably another 15 MK chests, I participated in all the events (although not very long on the PvP ones as I didn’t have much fun with hand-me-down abilities), got most of the achievements, got the Mad King Thorn Memoirs complete edition and ran the Ascend into Madness dungeon at least 20 times.

I think out of this whole event, I got 1 armor drop that had a rune that sold for 30something silver and a recipe for one of the new runes that was priced at 3 silver.

Frankly, I don’t feel bad about practically getting nil, but it’s not easy to still have fun while others have fun AND get cool stuff.

I think what’s worse is that, as the event goes on, more and more people only want level 80s to run the dungeons and most all just want to run it fast as possible.

Basically, the premise of the whole event is tarnished by this random ultra drop that you may or may not get. Not only do people become enslaved to the random, but on a personal level I have less and less fun the more of the same drops I get. Oh, more candy corn, custard and a trick-or-treat bag? Woop…now what can I do with them? Give the candy corn for bags? Okay…-dumps all CC on kids- Wow, more candy corn, custard and some fangs…is this suppose to be fun at some point?

This is so easy to test, just use it while soloing.

Also, heals you additionally if you have Signet of Restoration since SoR heals every time you cast something…although I’ve personally found SoR pretty ‘meh’ even compared to Ether Renewal.

Actually, I prefer Ether Renewal myself as it’s also a powerful condition removal.

Anyway, that’s getting off topic. Yes Cone of Cold heals yourself incrementally during its cast just like your allies so interrupting its cast interrupts part of the damage and heal. Also, it doesn’t need to hit anything to heal yourself so you can cast it while you run away.

Leo, I have a feeling that by Christmas, we will all be chasing after a whole new set of items and these skins will be largely forgotten. I applaud your willingness to do what it takes to get the one you really want, but don’t make yourself miserable over it. Without a doubt there will be many more cool items to collect in the future and I bet that not all will require a grind.

Good thing Halloween is my favorite holiday and Christmas, while festive, isn’t a ‘dressy’ holiday. That is, I doubt whatever they put out I’ll care much about…I don’t even care for most of the skins for Halloween beside the scythe and avian shoulder pieces.

But I figure it’s best to get it and get to the goal before it’s unobtainable. When I first started to ponder how I was going to get the skin, they were around 18 gold on the market. I’m barely half way to 18 gold and the price has jumped to 29 gold as of tonight. It’s possible the supply may increase as the holiday continues but afterwards, unless ANet keeps the skins in the boxes past the holiday, the supply will get smaller. I’m aiming to get the scythe before it jumps past 50 gold.

Makes sense to me. I spent 25 dollars on keys, knowing full well I was guaranteed a few boosters, tonics and a very rare chance at something special. Did I get it… NO, but I felt it was beyond generous to give us a second kick at the cat. Did I get it the second time around.. NO, but I’m not bitter. I came into it wanting to show support for an awesome company, and I succeeded.

Same. I only spent around $25 on gems, bought 10 keys and converted the rest to a couple gold. Got mostly junk but that was to be expected. Not bitter about any of that.

What I am bitter about is here I am, farming and scrounging for gold rather than enjoying the event. I started coming into this even with curiosity and intrigue about the story and here I am, wondering what I get for doing the extra junk events to see if I can profit and buy what I want. If I’m bitter, it’s because this whole debacle has turned things away from being a festive holiday to a rush to get the inexplicably rare goodies before the event disappears.

I don’t even want a skin because it’s rare but because I like the look. See this book on my back? I don’t care if a billion people are wearing them, I like the way it looks on my Asura so I’m wearing it. If the same were true for a scythe or a shield, I’d still want it just as much and wear it just as often.

Can you get the Weapon skins any other way?

Then you’re complaining about the wrong thing.

You can ‘work up’ to getting a skin but not doing the holiday events. There’s really nothing you can profit from while doing the event…hell, you shouldn’t even be concerned with making a profit when you should either be enjoying what you do in-game (for me, running dungeons) or just horsing around with these new events.

It’s the anti-thesis of the event: to be focused on lining your pockets to get what you want from it. Because you can’t line your pockets by doing the event so you have to do something that isn’t the event.

I feel I can complain all I want because I’ve fully accepted the problem. I’m not kittening about gambling with chest, the high prices on the skins or even the rarity of it. I’m kittening that I’ve taken on such a silly task in this game if only because there’s no other way around it but simply turning up my nose to skins completely.

Can you get the Weapon skins any other way?

Is that not enough for you? Should I be praising someone that an event that’s suppose to be festive is turned into work?

I just hope that in the future, whatever new events don’t make the same mistakes as this one…or not have decent looking skins I want locked behind pointless aspects like rarity and uniqueness.

Sorry, you poor sap. There is no other way to obtain that skin unless you purchase it with gold from the trading post, you trade someone for it or you get a lucky drop from a Black Lion Chest (or Mad King Chest).

For me, I only want the Scythe Staff skin and when I heard about it, I also made a couple threads trying to figure out what I could do to piece together my goal.

A lot of complaining about the chests in this thread. Did you open the chest and get nothing, or did you get something you didn’t want? I’m fairly certain it’s the got something you didn’t want part..

kitten is technically something but if you opened a chest and all that was in it was kitten, that’s no better than opening a chest and it being empty.

But I can go to a casino, walk in with $500 and walk out with 5 grand. What can I do with 5 grand? Pay my bills, down payment on a car, put it into a college fund, high dollar hookers for some fun.

I can spend $500 on a game and do what? Nothing you buy can have any value outside of that game so STOP COMPARING THIS GAME TO CASINO GAMBLING!!!

As for rare skins, who do people defend them being rare? It makes no sense. You wear or use something so you can look cool not because you want people going ‘Ooooh Aaahh!’ If that’s the only reason you want that chainsaw sword then you’re shallow.

All the victims that want their scythe or shield because it’d make their character look a certain way get to suffer just so others can feel special about having something someone else doesn’t have? That’s stupid.

Now quiet while I go farm gold instead of enjoying the events because I want a scythe that’s overpriced and stupidly rare to obtain for no actual reason.

If you can obtain logic from that, then something is wrong with you.

New mechanic idea: Attunement locking

I don’t see a problem with the class being a complex one but I also don’t see a problem with more (some that may be simpler) options either, like the OP. It’d just be another way to play, just like one can create a build around arcane abilities, or around cantrips or around conditions or support.

Just adding to the idea a bit, perhaps have it as an ‘extra’ 20pt trait called Attunement Affinity that lets you ‘lock’ into that attunement for a time (or maybe as long as you’d like) that’d add effects to the attunement itself as 20pt trait for free and you could at most have 3 attuments with the ability to ‘lock’ into them and perhaps add even more effects as an extra 30pt trait. Unlocking from a locked attunement puts it in a 30sec cool down (as well as the attument lock button).

Free Fire traites: 20pt unlock Raging Flames = Gain fury for each burn stack you apply (max 5 stacks); 30pt unlock Pyro-Master = Automatically grants Lava Tomb, Fire’s Embrace and One With Fire, if you have those traits as any of your major traits, those traits are greatly improved.

Free Water traits: 20pt unlock Bitter Chill = 10% chance attacks to cause chill, criticals apply chill. 30pt unlock Aqua-Master = Automatically grants the Shards of Ice, Vital Striking and Soothing Wave major traits, if you already have these as major traits their effect is greatly enhanced.

Free Fire trait: 20pt unlock Vital Shock = criticals have a chance to cause weakness, being struck has a 20% chance to apply weakness to the attacker.; 30pt unlock Aero-Mastry = automatically grants Zephyr’s Boon, Bolt to the Heart and Air Training major traits, if you have those traits as your major traits their effect is greatly enhanced.

Free Earth traits: 20pt unlock Bleeding Stones = Bleeding causes vulnerability; 30pt unlock Geomancer’s Punishment = automatically grants Earth’s Embrace, Salt Stone and Geomancer’s Freedom traits, if those are chosen as your major traits, their effect is greatly improved.

Granted, those traits are only unlocked when you ‘lock’ yourself into an attunement and you can only lock yourself into an attunement you have 20 or more trait points in.

And you can mix this up a bit too…use the ` button (the weapon swap button) to lock yourself in the attunement you’re in. While you’re locked into a major element, the element’s extra traits open and the other elements become ‘minor elements’ that grant temporary effects related to them. Using the minor elements puts the element into 30sec cooldown.

Minor elements = temporary effects that alter your major focused element.

Fire Major Element
-Water = Energy….Energy as in steam-powered. Your attacks grant vigor, speed and haste for a short time.
-Air = Light…Critical create bright flashes that blind foes, causing them to miss more often.
-Earth = Miniral…as in crystal and rock. Your next attack will knock down all that it hits.

Water Major Element
-Fire = Acid…attacks have a chance to apply poison as well as a chance to create a noxious gas cloud that causes vulnerability and weakness on your next attack.
-Air = Life…attacks grant regen to allies for a time and healing abilities are improved.
-Earth = Swamp…chills cause cripple and stun for a time.

Air Major Element
-Fire = Holy…attacks remove conditions from nearby allies and heals them.
-Water = Storm…area of all attacks is greatly enhanced and apply vunlerability for a time.
-Earth = Gravity…knocked down/blown back foes take additional fall damage as well as stay down longer for a duration.

Earth Major Element
-Fire = Cataclysm…create a wide-area fire field around you. Your next attack causes burning.
-Water = Wood…create a wide-area retaliation field around you. Damage reflected during the duration is granted back as healing.
-Air = Metal…area and range of your attacks is improved for a time. Bleeding and cripples applied lasts 2x longer.

Because I’ve read a lot of the threads of people complaining about the chances of the keys+chest, or buying them off the market, I wasn’t asking for that information but for making the skin for various reason such as making a character later that I may want that skin on, or if the item its attached to is lost. I’d like to know how to make the skin if ever a situation occurs that it’s not Halloween, the finite supply on market aren’t reasonably priced and there is no other means to obtain it.

Been flipping through the pages of threads to find out the specifics of making a weapon skin. Couldn’t find how to get the recipe and no idea what materials the recipe itself requires…

But I’m sure there are tougher achievements in the game. What do I need?

I think what’s pissing me off is how unintuitive this is with the rest of the game. The clues? Can’t make heads or tails of them unless you look at a wiki or something. Candy Corn Nodes? Not on the map like pretty much every other harvestable node. Haunted doors? Disappear when another player clicks on them unlike other quest objects.

The more I try to play this event the more frustrated I’m getting with it. Don’t know why, the rest of the game seems tough but I’ve coped.

Does that come with some sort of title you can place under your name? Or maybe a map icon for yourself that others can see?

I’m not asking for weapon skins (although I’d like those too) but please tell me there’s a purpose to any of this.

Let’s see, I’m trying to figure out just what I’m doing with this event.

So I’ve got a lvl 40 Warrior, a lvl 41 Mesmer and a lvl 62 Elementalist I’m currently focusing on to 80. I’m not sure what any of these events are actually for and I’d like to know if they are worth my time. As interesting as the events may be, I can just read the wiki to read stuff. What I’d like to know is what do I get from each event.

Anet just threw a bunch of stuff out and I don’t even know what I can or can’t do and where to start.

I started the mad memoir thing and got the first volume and looking at it, seems rather pointless but yay for something fun to do…however, I need candy corn to power the device…so I have to go farm that…then there’s pumpkins around I need to carve for who knows what reason and costume brawls for whatever.

Title topic- what am I doing? Or to help answer my question, what are you guys doing and is it worth doing? Costume Brawl was interesting for 15min….now is there any reason to keep doing it?

Well, vaporblade does offer 2 stacks of vulnerability per cast and I find the breath attacks are pretty decent because of their range and arc usually allows me to attack from some range whereas most of my dagger skills force me closer.

Some of the quirks I can understand are problematic and should be changed but others are fine how they are. The channel on breath attacks and such, for instance, a lot of people don’t care for and usually cut it short but I think capitalizing on channeling, like having more and better traits for channeling (+channeling speed, more toughness while channeling, chance of retaliation for a successful channel the longer the channel is, etc) would give those abilities a bit more utility breadth-wise which is probably what is best rather than I-win skills that just pwn things when you click them.

Sigil of Hyromancy makes kiting easy but also half-way lets me stand and fight down Risen on my Dagger/Dagger. Rotating through attunements to use their defensive abilities while applying their damage and when they stack too much bleed, Etheral Renewal can take them off while I kite, all the while hydromancy sig will freeze/chill foes and do damage.

Risen are only hard because they come in large crowds and constantly. I had problems with them too but only because I relied on bursting them down with little care in consistency. After your good burst cooldowns are done, you need something to go on the defensive so you can do it again, preferably something that doesn’t sacrifice lots of damage.

Never realized Magnetic Grasp was a jump finisher…guess because even though it’s a nice option, it’s still a poor one. MG is sort of slow and still has its bugs and it doesn’t do much damage either…basically, I use it for the utility of its immobilize and distance closer than for a finisher. But it’s nice we have that option.

And I still don’t think Dagger is quite where it needs to be primarily because it’s lack of fields or finishers in 2 of its elements (do Air and Water have any fields or finishers?) while Staff or pretty much any of the weapons will have fields in it.

Just to clarify, I’m not asking for more fields and finishers in Dagger, I’m asking for more fields OR finishers in Dagger…and any weapon combo that currently lacks in either. This is all primarily for utility as Elementalist is suppose to have lots of it.

One problem I have with the dagger skills is the #1 for Air. It’s hard to tell just how far it goes to hit. I hope they adjust the animations along with their range increase to make this more obvious.

Don’t think there was much comment on combos. I like that Elementalist has that to play with moreso than other damage classes. I just wish they had a bit more variety to them.

Most of my experience comes from Staff and Dagger/Dagger but with the Staff, your main blast finishers are the slow-effecting Eruption and Arcane Wave/Blast. I actually think that’s fine since you have the option of creating lots of combo fields. Dagger feels like it’s missing more fields or finishers. You’re basically looking at Ring of Fire and Burning Speed as your only field and Churning Earth or Earthquake as your finishers and I think Vapor Blade is a projectile finisher.

Yeah, I’d either try to give it a balance like Staff which has 2 finishers and 6 fields by adding some fields to Dagger or make Dagger the ‘finisher’ weapon combo and lopside its ratio of finishers/fields from 3/2 to something like 5/2.

Some candidates:
Water #5- Cleansing Wave = a good choice for a Blast Finisher that also heals allies.

Water #3- Frozen Burst = could be a blast finisher or an Ice combo field if you boost the duration of the ice patch a bit.

Air #4- Ride the Lightning= could be a jump finisher since we don’t get any of those outside of conjured weapons, if I’m not mistaken.

Air #5- Updraft= another place for a jump finisher perhaps?

Earth #3- Magnetic Grasp= jump finisher? Why not?

Yeah, these are mainly focused on Water and Air because both have neither finishers (Vapor Blades?) or fields.

I’m sure more could be said about other weapon abilities but I mainly use Dagger for general play and staff for when I want to hang back.

What about reactive clones? Like the ones that appear to replace you during an enemy attack like the counter strikes? If a clone didn’t replace a phantasm, that’d be another problem for that particular situation.

Basically, if an illusion didn’t replace the fourth, you’d be locked into whatever phants you had, even when downed, that’d make the #2 ability (the one that teleports you and replaces you with a clone) very problematic in that you couldn’t swap yourself if you died with 3 phants out and illusions always attack their primary target, not who’s attacking you.

Conjured weapons: A change to inspire use

Crazy idea: Conjured weapons act like Signets so while you have the skill as an option, you gain the Weapon Swap ability other classes get but only to that weapon. i.e. you choose Frost Bow and now you are able to equip Shortbows and swap to one. Clicking the Frost Bow power grants you a Frost Bow if you don’t have one equipped and summon one for an ally.

Several points:
-Having the skill chosen and equipping the appropriate weapon gives the stats of your equipped weapon to the summoned one (so it can be a strong and useful skill if equipped for it)

-Of course, just like a normal class, you can only chose TWO swappable weapon at a time during combat. Choosing a non-native weapon for Elementalist (like hammer) as your primary blocks you from the variety of attacks from attunements. But the option of having a Greatsword and a Bow or something is there as a build option…but again, you can only choose a max of 2.

-Choosing more than two of the conjured weapon abilities will let you swap for the equipped weapons but for the others, you’d have to activate the ability to have access to it (like now) or wait for the chance to reequip different weapons.

This probably doesn’t so much ‘fix’ conjured weapons (they’re broken?) as it does give Elementalists even more variety of build options which I sort of feel Elementalists lack (or are shortchanged by their gimmicks). I think it’s cool that you can build a Mesmer or Necro to use pets or not or focus on conditions or something. Elementalist feels like it could (it’s got all the gimmicks like elemental pets and summoned weapons and variety of elements) but feels like it can’t be ‘focused around’ or ‘built toward’ in as meaningful a way. The elemental pets feel lacking, the weapons, while cool, seem to have limited use if you like to swap your stuff up on the fly. The attunements could be even better if the on-the-swap effects were more important but feel more like afterthoughts or “here’s a 25 cents even though you can’t buy anything with 25 cents anymore” treats.
