Its nice that PvP players are finally admitting that what they really want are for the classes to be different coloured cubes all hitting each other with the same auto attack.
Obviously, condition chronomancer needs a nerf of some kind. I mean I could turn auto target on, put a blind fold on, and spam shatters and beat some people 1v1. But thats not why I created this.

Reminder that a thread full of ‘Rangers’ demanded that this skill become a trap when they were doing the reworks and just ignored the posters pointing out all the problems that it ended up causing.
IR was already nerfed and I don’t see it requiring any sort of ICD or additional change to it.
It’s Anet, who knows what could happen to this trait if they get a hold of it. I just get the feeling with the pro league players saying the spec is over the top that Anet will swing the nerf bat, and that nerf bat is random as hell.
They nerfed glamours last patch reducing the resistance from 3 seconds to 2 in glamour fields. Why? can anyone tell me what this change was in aid of? Why it happened? Why the balance team did this? Am i missing something blatantly OP and obvious about glamour builds? All those OP as hell glamour mesmers in WvW/PvP/PvE?
It was a niche alternative pick for Chorno bunkers in PvP. That was it.
Pretty much every single aspect of that build was hit with a massive nerf bat, every niche alternative was hit, precognition was basically removed from the game, all its counters were buffed even more and entire game mechanics were changed to attack that build untill it was completly destroyed.
Its the single worse case of hamfisted kneejerk nerfing I’ve ever seen in an MMO, but ofcourse the PvP forums cheered thus cementing this game to never have anything close to resemblence of balance.
And U still can by hard counter to power revs (dunno why they are so easy to kill with condi mes)
Because they have no cleanse so without Malyx revs are useless against any condi build.
Doesn’t help that most PvP players seem to think condis should be something that you ignore so when most revs get a stack of confusion on them they probably respond by changing to Shiro and auto attacking themselves to death.
Look we know you can’t tell the difference between pro league using portal and the random troll cleric mesmer that keeps kicking your kitten in hot join but we don’t need an update everytime it happens.
The problem with Ranger isn’t that nobody knows what the problems are, people have been telling Anet the problems for 3 years. People have come up with very good ideas how to fix those problems. We had an entire cdi full to the brim with good ideas about how to fix problems or new ideas that they could have used for an elite spec (even though we had no idea there would be elite specs at the time).
If new players want to come into the game and ask about Ranger I am not going to lie to them just so you can have company in purgatory.
Base Ranger has a lot of problems, a hell of a lot of weak skills, weapons and pets and has effectivly been replaced in every mode by a completly different class (filled with a lot of problems and weaknesses) that was slapped onto it under the pretense of a sidegrade elite spec.
Telling people a class is dead is like killing someones hope as that new player tells other people spreading that crap around forums isn’ the answer to help people progress so who is Deluded certainly not me.
You think pretending a classes problems don’t exist will somehow help the class. Delusions.
I mean, you’re right, I’m no expert on how game development works but you are agreeing with my point.
Your point is that they should delete PvP, and that’s just asinine. I think they shouldn’t balance with PvP as a focus, but your opinion is absurd.

The legendary thing is just a load of PR bluster. If they actually wanted to deliver on their promises, they could easily do it. They’ve got enough people to allocate resources to legendaries (70 working on the next expansion already, who knows how many pumping out a full set of BL skins every month and a half…), they just don’t care. They’re counting on the hope that all the good little customers will just forget that they’ve broken half the promises they’ve ever made and will blindly buy the next expansion and all the false promises that come with it.
I’m hoping the next expansion is an abject failure, it’s what they deserve. It also has nothing to do with PvP development.
I just thought it funny that after I said they should remove content to focus on open world content they announced they were stopping work on content to focus on open world content.

Paying customers having fun in open world/story and the related achievments are more important then kittening esports.
Delete PvP from the game, start actually buiffing and reworking skills and builds that PvP whine has destroyed. Building upon what the Queens Gauntlet was should be the main focus of creating content going forward. Actually create some gameplay with complexity in this game.
More teams ran mesmer than teams that did not. The best teams ran mesmer, and i’m willing to bet week 2 will see most teams copying the composition that the last NA game ran.
The best teams ran MoA and Portal. The reason a Mesmer was attached to them was because they never gave Portal to other classes like they hinted at years back.
Pretty sure we need the devs to remember that the class is played outside a mode that only a small subset of a small subset of the game population plays.
If you can’t see this then you should look at the 3 classes that are actually hurting at this time.
I would gladly swap scepter for thieves auto attack damage, Mantras for Guardians Traps (or meditations they can choose) and Moa and Portal for Warrior’s…in fact Warrior’s we don’t want anything just please take that monkey paw.

Yes, I get you don’t like druid, and you (probably, I’m assuming) wanted a longbow elite spec of some kind, but LB does not define the entire profession, and there will be more elites as the game progresses.
Don’t just pull kitten out of your kitten . I wanted an elite spec similar to other classes. Can be useful with multiple builds, synergises with our base class and actaully provides a fun new way to play the class. I was happy when staff was revealed and it was obviously going to be a more magic themed spec.
What I didn’t want was a 1 note braindead heal spam spec with no synergy with Ranger, a broken new mechanic that ads a skill bar that has 3 absolute useless skills, a weapon with only 1 good skill, a new set utilities which somehow managed to be even worse then Ranger shouts were when the game first launched and complete tunnel focus on raids to the exclusion of everything else.
Yes Druid was made a healer to attract people to raids, just watch the reveal again where he announces its a healer and spends the rest of the reveal patting himself on the back because ‘Raids need healers so Ranger is meta now because raids need healers and druid is a healer thus ranger is meta because I said so’.
Druid makes berserker builds more powerful (glyph of empowerment and GotL giving a combined 25% increase to damage)
Blatently false. It makes Raid druids more appealing to the team (and gotl is part of the reason why the healing is so boring and why glyphs make no sense at all) but for a Berserker ranger in any other mode they range from terrible to giving up too much to take them.
Druid is pretty much a part of every build now, just like the others. Raids were the lure for WoW players.
And they needed to shoehorn tanks and healers into the game (directly going against what they sold the game as) to make raids appeal to wow kids. Rangers got shafted by having a completly diferent poorly made class bolted onto them.
All saying ‘druid is a part of every build’ proves is how much rangers got shafted because they can’t even be rangers anymore.

And again, this is a false comparison. You can’t compare elite specs to core professions. They were not meant to be on the same power scale.
Actually they actually claimed elites were meant to be sidegrades not upgrades but then just buffed everything up in the betas to where they were mandatory to get people to buy the expansion.
Except druid because the druids role was to get WoW players to look at GW2.

Well looking at what Ranger needs it should be ranged AoE, which kind of works with rifle but I’m not sure would thematically fit in with the Ranger. Really staff should have been this but they kittened that up and there isn’t really another weapon.
Rifle skills that would fit in thematically with a Ranger elite spec would probably have too much overlap mechanically with Longbow.
All this thread proves is that Anet should delete PvP from the game and ban everybody who has ever played it.
They have somehow managed to create by far the worst community I have ever seen in a online game who actively hate the idea of learning even the basic mechanics of the game let alone the individual classes. All you people do is sit on the forums 24/7 complaining that absolutly everything should be nerfed. You base your opinion on a mix of whatever the last streamer you saw decided they liked playing and what was the last class to kick your kitten in hot join. The Guardians who run around PvE spamming 1 on staff to tag for loot know more about how the game plays then you people.
Your insufferable whining destroys any half interesting skill or trait so everything becomes bland and brain dead which because they refuse to even make tiny skill splits between modes spreads to PVE like kittening cancer so the game mode people actually play can never evolve and has to be as brain dead as you want PvP to be.
I’d tell you go play something more your speed like afking for hats in TF2 but you have already destroyed this game so whats the point.

Sure, just not as quick. That is the frustration with most players of Rangers and/or Druids.
I can’t argue with that. I was just as surprised as anyone to see nothing on Revenant/Scrapper in that patch. I assume it’s because Reaper and Scrapper was easy to fix, Revenant and Scrapper’s problems are due to a powerful mixed bag, so handling it needs to be done with more finesse. Of course, the sooner the better.
Or instead of finesse they can just nerf all of their traits and their skills, nerf random nich trait choices that only a handful of people use, change how people can interact with the downed mechanic, remove a bunch of traits and massivly buff their direct counters. Was good enough for Mesmer.
1v1, you should be able to kill mallyx revenants. Let alone +1.
Glint Shiro is quite a bit tougher, but still manageable.
Scrapper is without a doubt better than mesmer.

How the hell can you beat a Mallyx Rev with a condi Mes?
Cos Condi Mes can cope with Mallyx Rev. I duel against an excellent rev main and so far have yet to have any problems, however it might be that he hasn’t had time to learn to play against it. Even so, Condi Mes has the ability to clear any conditions, it doesn’t function that much on boons and has the ability to outkite… I don’t really see why they shouldn’t be able to beat a Condi Rev.
Because a good condi rev will have a very high upkeep of resistence. If you are taking Domination for boon removal, thus probably going hybrid, you will be alright but otherwise you aren’g going to do damage.
So I’ve finally looked into this build and its basically a more refined version of the condi build that people were trying in the HoT beta.
Considering in the HoT beta shield block lasted longer, alacrity wasn’t nerfed and the other elites specs weren’t as strong I don’t know why everybody is suddenly deciding this is amazing now when it wasn’t that great then.
Yeah, they had to nerf ranger after seven of them made it into the championships, and dominated the matches… What’s that? Oh, right, that was revenant…
This is the part that puzzles me. A few guys that I will never meet, and make up .0025 of the player base (that’s made up but its a very small percentage) have the most control and influence on what gets done to the entire game. Why?
