Meh whatever, this is just Noodles’ style. It worked for him on JQ, so it makes sense he’d do similar things on his new server. It was all pretty nauseating for me personally, but that’s just my views.
I wish DB the best back in T2. I was there back in late September when our (BG) mid-week comeback vs. DB kind of marked the end of their run and beginning of the subsequent slide after losing a solid chunk of NA guilds to SoS. It took time, but you guys held in there and slowly turned things around. Kudos to those on DB that stuck through it all. You have my respect for sure.

Honestly covenn, you may want to think about this statement and see how it might apply to your own viewpoints. I think sometimes you may take what TW does and assume that’s how it’s working on other maps for SoR.

Well according to the T2 thread, WM is confirmed to BG. Should be an interesting matchup once they are over.

Nothing is confirmed. It will be confirmed if/when someone from WM makes a statement. Otherwise it’s nothing but hearsay. As of now WM is a guild on KN and that’s the extent of it.
Nice job SoR defending Garri last night. You had JQ poking holes on the east side and us poking holes on the west side, and still held it until both sides called it quits. I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen that much siege on inner. I shudder to think what the Lord’s Room would have been like.
We definitely stirred the hornets nest though. The numbers we had to defend against at Bay a bit later was jaw dropping. We thought for sure that we’d all die a horrible death in that place. But then your siege on inner seemed to falter and we were able to push you out. All I can guess is you had to defend something from a JQ attack.

P.S. – If skill lag keeps me from using Mist Form and I die one more time I think I may have a conniption fit.
I didn’t know this. Makes me almost feel bad for using Vapor Form. I’ll still use it though hehe. Sometimes it saves my butt, even when there seems to be no hope.
Some KN guilds (3 to 5) gonna transfert over BG or SoR very soon :p
SoR could use SEA/Oceanic guilds, no queue times and you guys can make a noticeable difference.
The same could be said for Blackgate. In fact, the same can be said for all servers vs. JQ currently heh. Anyhoo …
Sorry to hear that KN may be losing some folks. I’ve said this around here before but those 3 weeks of matches vs KN and TC were some of my funnest WvW times to date. KN has quality people that know how to bring it even when outgunned and those that decide to move on will no doubt have a positive impact wherever they decide to go. Selfishly I want you all on Blackgate but I know you guys will make the best decision for your players, whether you decide to move on or stick it out. Best of luck.

Yeah it’s a bug. I think it was even acknowledged by Devon or someone around here not too long ago. I’d imagine it’s on their list to fix, which I think will involve changing the way Dolyak’s drop the bonus supply.

Notice the circle to the left where no one is on the lower left and who is on the lower right. That circle was there taking out an ac. Saw it in EB as well form the same guild last night. Help US Stop Zoom Hacking!
Not saying you are lying but do you have screen shots from other angles? At least one with the arrows from the arrow cart?
Your screen shot doesn’t prove that the circle on the left came from the arrow cart and not someone who is off screen. Arrow carts are generally built where that one is to kill enemy arrow carts that are behind the gate by seeing through the hole in the top.
They had no arrow carts only two golems that had just been killed. That was from an ele on the lower right of the screen. I saw even worse zoom hack from them on EB the night before. I will be taking screens every time I see them doing it that have better angles from now on.
That to me looks like two Eles down there with Scepters in their mainhand. If you saw Dragon’s Tooth dropping down on the cart, they can hit it without needing line of sight as long as they get the cart targeted, which also can be done without line of sight.
Nice vid. You play that build well and do a pretty nice job with grenades which is probably the hardest part.
Interestingly enough, just yesterday I geared out my Engi for this build yesterday to dust him off and do a little skirmishing in WvW. I needed a break from running with Commanders on my Staff Ele. It’s been getting pretty old in T1 NA. I need a lot of work however heh. I’m pretty rusty on my Engi.

Supply Camp capturing, defending, Dolyak defending and killing, reincorment harrasement ect. is all very important and usefull things to do in WvW, beside running and ramming your head into stuff with zerg!
This is the problem with WvW right now. Too many people think you’re only being useful to your team if you’re running around with your 70 person full map zerg and flipping Keeps and Towers.
I didn’t realize until today how much Kaineng is reliant upon their SEA players.
It’s been that way since their meteoric rise began. I give all KN players a lot of credit for their push to the #4 spot, but I think many of their guilds were overplaying and running on the rush of it all, which may have caused some burnt out. When we (Blackgate) faced them for a few weeks, they did put up a very good fight during NA, but a lot of it was the NA faction of WM, with MEOW, KO and more WM coming on later at night (but quite early for SEA) hopping maps and trying to flip objectives with their zerg. RE and CO always put up a fun fight when we’d run into them, but even during NA it was the WM zerg that my guild looked for and specifically targeted to counter.
I’m sure the hope was to attract more NA guilds with a superior SEA presence, but that didn’t play out, and it sounds like player attrition is taking its toll like it is for many servers. I hold KN in high regard however and wish nothing but the best for their guilds and players. Those 3 weeks of matches of BGvTCvKN was some of my funnest WvW times to date.
Anyways, sorry for butting into your thread and reminiscing a bit.
I finally spent some badges recently, on a few exotic weapons to mess around with different stats, builds and sigils. It’s cheaper on coin, and it was honestly nice to have another currency option.
Hard to say if they will ever add Ascended to badge vendors though. The problem with the badge currency on Ascended is there is no time based acquisition limit, like there is on laurels, fractals and guild missions. As long as there is a player to kill in WvW there is a badge to obtain, and I just don’t see them implementing Ascended itemization this way.
Honestly, Anet brought this upon themselves via a lack of foresight and/or lack of action when it could have made a difference. They failed to understand human nature as it applies to competitive gamers. They assumed players would balance things out on their own, and they assumed wrong. Now they’re faced with a situation that really only applies to the top one or two tiers in WvW in a meaningful way but requires the expenditure of both time and capital to remedy the situation which impacts the entire game.
The fact is, the population limits they set for each side on a WvW map should never exceed their server’s ability to handle every single player on that map within 600 units of each other pressing skills. So they either need to increase processing capacity and/or implement game engine improvements, reduce the map population limits, implement features that discourage large numbers of players clashing in a small area, or some combination of the three. They’ve already tried reducing the map population limits and it had less than desirable consequences (enter that buggy non-transparent queue system), so that’s probably not an option at this point. This leaves either fixing things server side and in game mechanics, which mostly impacts 6 servers, for a game format who’s players represent a vast minority of the overall player base.

Huh? A thread pops up about it at least every couple of days. It’s never addressed though, and there’s only so many times you can ask before you just give up on it and hope it gets fixed before you reach the end of your rope.
Well, unlike Traits, there appears to be no limit on WEXP levels (or it’s very very high). I believe this is their basis for not having a reset mechanic.
Fair enough. Some one told me that you where new and if you are normally not on during EU prime then we would not run into one another.
Either way nice movement over all out there. We manged to blunt the JQ zerg several times, but there where some moment’s there when you flanked us that only luck and pure aggression helped to save us.
That fight in between Garrison and Bay was great fun over all we almost lost it several times. IT was great.
DA was actually a Blackgate launch guild, and their former GM started the first BG community website. Good guys and very good at group pvp.
1) JQ, you guys have better coverage than us. We only have NA coverage. It’s not fair.
OCX and AFS , two large wvw guilds, transfer to SOR to add to an already strong off peak coverage (Most of SBI oceanic/asian guilds transferred to SOR).
2) JQ, you guys have a better SEA coverage than us. It’s not fair.
-On a Saturday, it was JQ zerg vs SOR zerg towards the end of SEA time zone. SOR zerg got wiped repeatedly.
3) JQ, you guys have FOO. FOO should not participate in the match this week. It’s not fair.

There is a common theme I’ve noticed about Blackgate and JQ. Both know absolutely nothing of SoR.
Everytime I’ve ran with Fear/TW/Hire/Choo, I hardly see wipes, and I follow their commanders daily. I’ve wiped JQ a hell of a lot more times than I’ve seen any of SoR get wiped. So, I’d like to see some decent evidence of you wiping SoR zergs.
Secondly, I was on during the SEA timezone all of last night. We had a zerg of 20. We were map hopping to try to save stuff, but we were losing things left and right because JQ simply PvDoors, and queues up every map while SOR would have to quadrople the size of their online forces to fill up just one map. So, the whole “large guilds stacking on our server” is a flawed argument.
Third, as an NA player that works graveyard so I can play whenever I want on weekends, I’ve hardly ran into this FOO guild. Not entirely sure who they are, but I see a lot of people talk about them and I have a feeling they were the ones PvDooring last night.
All I know is JQ is an overly stacked server that “Wins” based on PvDoor and consistently runs even from zergs that are 1/3 the size of their zerg. If you actually had as much skill as you guys had talk, you’d actually go to a server where you need to compete against players rather than doors instead of hiding behind the masses.
Dang, it is true that JQ players are like Laker fans. Full of crap, big egos, know nothing about the game, and don’t know the difference between an actual win and a dishonorable one.

Without Foo this would be a much more even matchup. I would think JQ would win by about 15k instead of 50-60k
Another diss, you hear that FOO? Your server completey disrespects you guys. I challenge FOO to take a full week off next round to see if JQ can pull these numbers off.
We generally try to avoid changing the limits as it greatly impacts the game, but it is one of the things we can manually adjust to help us evaluate our changes when they go live. After the last patch we tried reducing the limit quite a bit more than what has been typical for the last few months to see if we could ease some of the lag issues players experience during some of the larger fights around Stonemist, but changed it back after a few days because we didn’t see a major improvement and it was just too detrimental to the game.
This forum really is a comedy goldmine. Anyway here are some stats from this week;
- JQ should be thankful to their Asian & European support; their NA prime squad would’ve lost the match to SoR by 3.5k points (18:00 – 02:00 EST).
- JQ’s off-peak presence generated a 50k+ point advantage over SoR.
- No notable changes in performance since Monday morning compared to the weekend; biggest being JQ gaining 1.15 percentage point.
- Compared to last week: JQ +1.75 percentage point, SoR +0.43 & BG -2.18 (ouch).
Data: Millenium.org, time in EST, ticks include downed cows and sentries. X-axis values represent the average tick in a given hour (p.e. 23:00 means 23:00-23:59).
If the match was in doubt we wouldn’t have had any issue pushing hard in NA prime. I know I for one took the past two days to sort of relax and do some PvE/Guild Bounty’s and I know Strike Force did a lowbie night. Both of which wouldn’t have happened if the match was close.
I think people might forget this sometimes. I’m a sucker for stats, and all the power to you for analyzing server performance, but when evaluating JQ, the data is only useful if they are giving a match everything they got (in terms of numbers), which I personally don’t think they’ve done once throughout and entire week since the JQvBGvSoR matches began. JQ puts in just enough effort to win comfortably, and that’s about the extent of it. This is how BG got their win. The lead was left too slim and BG made a sprint at the end of the week that JQ couldn’t react to in time.
According to my proprietary, internal, highly classified metrics….. SOR comes out as the clear winner this week decisively over JQ. BG is in a far far far, beyond the field of vision, distant third place.
I think your metrics need tweaking. I’ve had my calculation methods validated by third party statisticians, and after running millions of scenarios through my sophisticated server performance algorithm, I came to the undeniable conclusion that Ferguson’s Crossing won the T1 match this week.
I swear every fight with SoR today has involved me being 10:1 zerged.
Now you know how SoR felt when facing BG back in tier two.

Are you kidding me? Did you just type that with a straight face? What happened to “SoR clearly has the strongest NA” and “you guys only beat us when we’re asleep”? I swear. Some of you can’t even keep it all straight.
I am curious if the JQ or SoR communities are considering pledging to Camelot Unchained’s Kickstarter? If so, we should all go separate realms on the same server! >:)

Honestly, if you can’t target the player screenshots are pretty useless. You can have an infinite number of the same guild tag, but only one guild name. Anyone can make a guild named “Strike Forces” (notice the “s” on the end) with the same [SF] tag. Also, the portrait on a target can sometimes provide a clue to the guild on who it may be.
Either way, best practice for shots and/or claims should be PMed or arranged via in game whisper and email, not posted on the forums.
