Try several classes up to say level 20 or so. You can also mix the races up as well. By then, you may have found the one you really like.

One note of caution. Some classes like Mesmer seem harder at first than warrior or guardian. They come into their own later on though and become easier to play with more advanced skills and traits……

Nah. Our BL was red/dead, so we jumped over to YB BL to run a little havoc with 5. Some OCX logged on, so I threw my tag on (3rd time ever) and we had a group of about 10-15, 5 being Abyss. We had zero resistance from YB, so I guess they are all afk this week? I saw more Mags on YB BL than I did YB. We even had a fun little skirmish outside SE tower for a while.

Since there is no resistance from YB, we’re not getting hit from two sides, and can venture off our home BL.

We had a HUGE Zerg bigger than any WVW mega blob. Problem is, was world bosses….. Even caused overflows in FG and Southson……

YB has many dedicated WVWers, but rely heavily on militia. Can’t tell you how many asked mags and sbi again? on first login this week.

Not an excuse – just reality. This is also why you won’t find many GVG – it would be GVM…..

Wish I could sell the one that I got ages ago via chest/drop -didn’t find a use it for it then when I actually went to divinity reach.

Let us not forget RL things like finals and the holidays will have an affect on the pop over the next couple of weeks too.

Well, with last week’s pooshow of the Yaks border being glitchy and unplayable ( leaving half their slice free from attacks) and this week with Angela Fowler the spy/griefer extraordinaire on SBI payroll ( telling sbi where all the troop movements are, wasting supply to prevent waypoints being built, siege griefing)…. Seems like we’re being given a big sleazy welcome by the silver league.

“Why fight when you can just play dirty? " That’s pretty much the message YB and SBI are telling us right now. Despicable.

Because we control what’s happening with the server that hosts our BL.

What you say is entirely reasonable . Sadly, the part I left out is that some people are still saying … well that YB “somehow” triggered the “glitches”. Personally I’m enclined to give leeway and blame it on a badly monitored server, but there’s still this lingerous doubt floating around which just pollutes the air a little bit.

YB still fVeels like a souless mini blackgate, being all serious with 5 man roaming ganksquads instead of the lovable and tenacious roamers of old.

We shall see.

it would be sort of funny, in a twisted way, if anet determined that too much siege causes the glitches…… fwiw – we had the same dc problems as well.

I wouldn’t read too much into the wvw pop over the next few weeks on any server. Exams finishing for those in school, holiday prep for those with children, and the holidays themselves may provide some strange numbers…..

And let the siege, 2v1, open field whines start……

It seems there is some sort of diminishing returns when doing it daily. I stopped for a few days and plan to go back soon.

I dont understand the bashing from Ark. We explained at the start of the week finals this week has made it very kitten our guild. Not one time this week were we even around 20 players online at a given time, most of the time, barely 15.

We never once bragged about how “amazing” we are, or none of that. Only thing we’ve been doing is trying hard to win this week, our guild actually wants to be in gold do to the fun of the fights. So we been trying quite hard.

Anyways, we’re still learning GvGs, we’re pretty god awful at 15v15s still, haha – but if we have a rematch next week like expected, we can definitely go for it!

No ones bashing you and no ones saying you guys said you were amazing. Just when you guys said you didn’t have enough and then drop out of garri onto us with 30ish it kind of kitten ed us off in comms.

We’ve never had anywhere near 30 the whole week bro. I wish, we’d love to sport the numbers you guys have had this week!

Wednesday, December 11th. Approximately 5:30pm Server time, SBI Borderlands Garrison. Definitely 25-30 Tags. Not 15 minutes after cancelling on us because “You didn’t have enough people”

Thursday, December 12th. Approximately 7pm server time until whatever time you left map, Mag BL, East Keep. South Inner for at least 20 minutes. At the very least 25 [One] tags.

I don’t know if you personally don’t raid with your own guild or what, but we’ve run into you multiple times directly after saying you didn’t have enough people with numbers that approached or exceeded our own. So please, stop making stuff up.

Wednesday 5:30 server, pretty sure I was part of that group. I am not [one] nor were quite a few others. If you have not figured it out yet, YB has crap ton militia/pug/noob/Pvx (whatever you want to call us) that drop in and out of wvw on general call to arms in la map chat / guild chat….

You just are not going to get your precious GVG with that many militia. Maybe in the future, who knows….

Who stopped because of lackluster chest? Who took a break after season ended (many put in over time)? Who transferred back off the season winners (or predicted winners)?

University finals, Wintersday, and the holidays will probably all affect the pop over the next few weeks….

I like it too, though a super plump Santa would also be funny.

I’ve heard that YB is still dealing from siege griefers these past weeks, just to let you know, we dont approve of it and none of our regular commanders are using it as an advantage.

Good job on putting us on 3rd place, again. The week is not over, but it shows how dedicated your guilds are. So good job, and I hope we can stop the dirty playing from now on.

I think any rational person knows a few bad eggs from who knows where doesn’t represent a server as a whole – be it YB – SBI – insert server here.

I just laugh when I read FA this, SBI that, YB this, MAGs that. For many of us, the server we chose was a crapshoot anyway when we rolled our first character….

I did the personal story on 2 characters. I don’t plan on repeating for my other 6. Let us remove the clutter and toggle it off. Same thing with the nightmare tower – haven’t cared in weeks about the anti-toxin, let us toggle it off.

I know the tower will go away shortly, but a simple toggle to turn off the LS status and personal story status would be much appreciated by many.

No idea. It could very well be a player in SBI trolling ourselves for whatever reason. But this same guy was here last week. Have a tendency to follow Abyss. :/ Now he even talks in map chat deliberately trolling us in words too.

We had one follow us as well earlier in the week. I always thought the griefer(s) we’re actually from neither side, but simply claiming they were SBI or YB. Who knows really…..

The no damage can be explained as invulnerable near spawn. I don’t know if that affects damage though. Either way, please report hackers – no one likes them. One person (or a few people) does not represent an entire server either…

I just spent crap ton of karma for shards at one point last week – so it is at times. It may also depend when you play though…. I play NA prime time……

Indeed search gw2 – there are sites that show open, closed, attacking, and defending temples. Guest to the server that has the temple you need open ….

Some classes and builds are better for those small groups. I don’t roam enough to know myself, but mesmer’s with all their dang clones seem to have fun in small groups.

If there is a tie for 1st or 2nd, there is no 3rd. The next place is 4th…….

I think you all know that FA getting third next week is unlikely.

Indeed, but maybe sbi and YB get second – I think that leaves a two way tie for second.

If teams tie for a position, all the tied teams get the reward allotted for that position. So 3 first place teams get 1st (sort of like kissing your sister) place reward and the next team gets 4th place reward.
