And why would high go to very high – clearly a reset to very high for all. Not sure why though…..

We just had trial weekend and a 50% sale. New players, who couldnt get into the full servers, chose the high servers.

I doubt they all picked the high servers – unless they were locked to those…. I would give this credence if some went from high to very high, but every single server going to very high seems like all were set to a default “very high”…

I can see Purging of dead accounts that were in the totals – dropping full to very high. But if that is true, how did the highs also go to very high?

I played through the whole season and didn’t get the first reward the first week (200 tokens) because i didn’t check my emails. This was so stupid to do it like this, why not directly send tickets in that mail -_-

And when i say i played, i didn’t just do 5 events a week, i played through the week scouting, upgrading, escorting and zerging from time to time.

While I agree in concept, the mail delivery system didn’t work season 2 – there was no way they were going to go through that fiasco again.

Oh for an account bound bag for ascended etc……. Even 4 – 8 slots…….

Unless you are on fa, mag, and now YB and haven’t seen the sos OCX train (I swear it is the entire que) you don’t know what coverage does. Best you can hope for is being a fly in the ointment at certain times……

These were the same tickets as season 2. You can save them.

1. - do wvw map completion from the start instead of waiting until the end. Check the wvw maps and see what you control – get those points on your toons. You may not even come across an enemy. Proceeding this way, you may not end up waiting on wvw for completion…

My first completion – I waited to do it last. And waited and waited and waited. The next 8- did them when convenient, but had gotten hooked on wvw so didn’t really have to “try” too hard….

Well explained snow reap. Hard to believe people do not understand how this works 4 weeks in…. Especially when season 2 was similar except it was 5-3-1…..

I had noticed those scores as well. It is fun when the scores and fights are close.

I know one common response was why not mail them…. Well we saw how well that worked out season 2….

You know, that might be one way to even a score – larger pop allowed in when in 3rd place of current matchup and down by x amount

They did backtrack in the forums, but one would think they would have also updated that announcement or create a new updated announcement…

These tix were the same as season2 they just keep stacking until you use them which is any time…. The NPc is there out of season tourney as well as in season.

Unless anet changes its mind, but I don’t think so on this aspect. It makes sense.

I’m from Augury Rock, and it’s the 3rd time we meet PS. And the second time we have a PS/AR/AM match-up. So unique !

Your match ups so far this tournament:

Week 1: Augury Rock vs Aurora Glade vs Arborstone
Week 2: Piken Square vs Augury Rock vs Gunnars Hold
Week 3. Piken Square vs Abaddon Mouth vs Augury Rock

It’s not the second time of an PS/AR/AM during the tournament. That could very well change for the last week but so far you’ve had unique match ups for the duration of the tournament.

EU already reset and another thread states same exact matchup as seen before…..

that’s kind of like what we had in season 1. people complained that all the matches were blowouts because you had servers at the top of the league matched up against servers at the bottom.

look at servers 7 8 and 9. after the first week (which is pretty even), they all get to experience 3 weeks of getting utterly crushed.

at least the swiss style matchups put the winners together with the winners (which means servers at the top and bottom of the league can expect to see each other repeatedly).

I understand what you are saying, however “unique” means just that… not “the same”..

What we need more than anything is server balance, rather than letting everyone stack on the top team in each league just so they can walk over all the other teams and get max rewards for doing as little as possible, while those that fight on smaller servers get nothing for actually putting up a good fight but losing due to coverage…

This is where the real problem lies…

They back tracked on unique before the season even started and said something like less likely or less often. Too hard to search the forums, but it was Devon if I recall properly.

I’ve changed my mind, pending on YB’s performance. I already said in this thread that if they play to their negative stereotypes; then I’ll want it again.
They have potential to be much more than they are and what they have been. However, I don’t want to waste anyone’s time (on FA, SoS, or a server that is actually up for the challenge) if they don’t want it.

Translation: I’m up for a doubleteam vs YB, unless they play the way I want.

I’m just being clear. YB is welcome to play however they want but no one currently in T2 wants a server that substitutes siege for skill 24/7. People will hate it and one of two things will happen: either we get sick of it and 2v1 the offender, or it becomes so nauseating that both servers implode and YB moves permanently into Gold League then T1 will take turns violating you.

You clearly know nothing if you think all of YB just sits on siege 24/7. Keep guards might, but that is only a handful of people at each keep. Even then they are more apt to patrol n-s-e-w etc….

And if you think cd-nsp etc… don’t siege and blob, you haven’t seen them either….

That said,
It is obvious though that an arena for GVG that guilds from any server – even their own – would fit the bill for many people. They could even monetize it with entrance tickets or arena passes…..

Also a way to make call to arms in pve land?

I know this will close that discussion but it has to be said. If you want a meh reaction you have the perfect karma train member or cmdr. If you want someone who has a bit of passion for the game you find the scouts , the roamers, the leaders , who put in long hours, and at times, not gaining one level. The guys who make dozens of runs an hour to camps to build siege, repair etc. Those are the folks who are my brothers in WvW. Not the meh ones. Go back to EOTM.

Something tells me you’re not much part of the FA community. I’ll tell what I told that tym guy before. Go check out our very active forum and become part of it. You’ll find me there too.

I didn’t get that reaction either. The meh was concerning a match in t2 not roles people play and enjoy in wvw. I don’t see how that leap was made myself, but meh.

I also suggest not waiting to do wvw last, but check in at least weekly and get the zones under your control on all toons you may want 100% on. I waited for over a month for my first completion because we never controlled the vista. / poi (when I was on).

After that I watched what color we were weekly and ran multiple toons through wvw wherever we had good control. That method worked way better as pve zones ended up being the ones that I needed to finish completion on.

After seasons you may see more color variation in wvw as well which makes some areas of the map more easily mapped.

Like I said – is there really a reward LOL. Now. That you mention it, I do recall reading that though…..

With the rewards being weekly, is there a season winner? Not that it really matters all that much..

Do the mapping or don’t, but it isn’t going to change at this stage. I went into wvw for mapping and found it fun. If you die so what – port back and try again. If you stay in your own colors territory and stay aware of your surroundings – you won’t even die…..

Can’t speak for gold, but silver was 5-3-2 each week. Total the points from all the weeks. Set the matches based on total points.

Thanks for the rundown. I will stick to multiple monitors but if I only had one, I could see myself trying something like this.

ts on second monitor that I only turn on to change ts servers or channels
ipad for gw2 reports.

I simply prefer a less cluttered main monitor. If you don’t have that access over wolf worked fine for me (before I had 2 decent monitors)

It comes down to
Why did it take sor so long to fall?
Why is it taking Maguuma so long to fall?
How long will it take the new server 6 to fall if they can’t compete? Assuming rng gods don’t put maguuma against fa-sos yet again post season….

(This applies elsewhere – but is obvious to people in T2-T3-T4 that something is wrong and won’t be fixed any time soon)

@basch – consenus of what 5 people – that isn’t very representative of a server.

For anyone to pay for a move before things settle out seems silly. For all we know right now, it won’t settle for awhile. Then bam – new season announced and all goes to hades again anyway…..

Only real set of facts is t2 will change (the players). It may settle into 3 servers or settle into 2+ 2 or 3 floaters – no one really knows.

Let’s hope all settle into fun – whatever their own definition of fun is.

And lastly – like everyone else – I speak what I think and not what a server thinks. Where does one apply for official server spokesman and where was my ballot?

After all of this, it would sort of be funny if the rng gods rolled mags up against sos/fa the first week after seasons….. I think that is still possible with a 40 point difference…..

Either way, T2 servers will find out if they have a dance partner they like eventually or if they are still playing with themselves with a third server as onlooker. I don’t think anyone would hate a scenario with different servers bubbling up and down for a week or two at a time…..

Well said. Why GVG scene / T2 imploded is up for debate, but the fact that imploded is fact. When the scene was hyped months ago, didn’t most of the guilds really interested in the aspect move to sos/mag/fa?

I doubt there are a ton of guilds that really dig that scene that haven’t moved already….

Time will tell who remains in T2 and what becomes of it, just don’t expect a server to change their identity to fit into someone else’s game mode…. Whoever has fun in T2 will be the server that tries to stay there. Otherwise back to t3/t4 where 5/6 servers in the tier were winning on any given week prior to season 3… While ppt / winning isn’t everything, close scores rallies the militia. And guess what – a lot of militia in t3/t4 (or so it seems).

I have no idea who are you to talk for CD and you’re talking as you know how we are and what our plays are like , you can talk from your server prespective which i don’t really care for because they are totally different from each other..where our wvw guilds are oriented on being openfield/gvg guilds and yet have balance between that and PPT but it gets boring when you face server that actually don’t fight.

P.S pvf forums pls respond to my gvg request, i saw someone’s post say TC/PAL/TUNE gvg ?..been over 6 weeks and didnt get 1 gvg out of YB lol

From your post i take it that i know nothing about your server’s playstyle while you seem to know ours.

It takes an expert to know how YB plays ? even the servers that haven’t faced YB knows how they play+ you won the most annoying server to face vote with a pretty good lead lol …just go man an AC , stop posting.

Just because we play WvW the as it was designed and meant to be play.
Not our fault you guys still don’t get the concept of WvW, but seeing as how you got totally dominated by DB and YB, you guys don’t stand a chance in T2.
That one week not only did you got rekt, we got to see the true side of CD, full of fairweathers and just a vocal minority that uses the forums wanting to hit T2, that would have killed the server in the long run, all it took was a week of DB and YB to see them running back to PvE.

lol YB chest thumping about PPT? You realize that the PPT system is the whole reason wvw is slowly dying.

I don’t care what server moves up but this game needs fight guilds to organize so the only skill oriented playstyle wvw has to offer doesn’t die out and T2 is the perfect place for it. It’s an established gvg/fight oriented tier with blobs and raiding/gvg guilds. With no gvg mode and no wvw support whats so ever this game is slowly devolving into PPT heros chest thumping on their ACs.

It is so established and self-sustaining it fell apart…. I didn’t read that as chest thumping. I read that as playing the game differently than you. Neither view is wrong, but don’t expect everyone else to conform to the same mind set.

The only thing we know is YB will go t2. If they have fun, they might stick around. If they do not have fun, they will go to eotm or whatever until they can play WvW and have fun. The same will hold true for anyone moving up.

Lastly, someone else’s idea of fun may not match yours.

Disaster? I don’t think it was a disaster. Hardly anyone gives a kitten about ppt outside of T1. We all know its coverage. The thread is for NA fight guilds primarily looking for competition. We need a third server with similar mindset/guilds who look forward to open field fights and have interest in GvGs.

Didn’t most of those guilds transfer to T2 before the mags implosion? You may want fight guilds, but I think many were already there…. YB has a couple of guilds that won’t siege open field, but it is primarily a Pvx/pug server… I guess we will find out in 2 weeks (most likely).

T3 is where all the fun is at. It already has some of the best matchup variation amongst the servers, and we’re very close to a 6-server rotation in T3. Dont condense everyone into T2, that was a bad idea from the get-go. ANY one of these servers could house a zergbusting and GvG guild quite comfortably, and you’ll get NEW baddies to fight every week if we stack into the T4 servers listed.

CD: T3
DB: T2 which fairweathers itself into T3
YB: T3
SBI: T3.75
DR: T4
IoJ: T4

I’m sure people can attest, T3 is a great zone at the moment. There’s no one who is Super over-stacked, everyone has their coverage weak zones and NA primetime is incredible.

IF DR gets some night-owls and Oceanics, they’ll be a solid contender in T3.
If IoJ gets some NA prime people they’ll be a solid contender in T3.
IF SBI recovers from bannok leaving, they’ll go back to being a stable, solid contender in T3.

Imagine for a moment that you didnt KNOW who you were gonna get at reset. wouldnt that be grand?!

T3/T4 was so much fun for weeks prior to the tourney announcement / AA…. So much has happened since it is hard to say if it will be that even Steven again…..

Once I beat the wurm, I never went back. For the time involved, pass/fail type of reward, AND worse loot than Teq – decided not worth the time and effort.

Eotm pve ranking renders WvW level meaningless….

It is too late for week 1, but not week 2. I believe in eotm as well…

Ascended armor, weapons, rings etc….. Cost could be high enough you need multiple seasons to get one……

As I said earlier, seems rushed to start on a specific date that coincides with the go-live of competition. I do like the idea of going for events, but 5 that can be earned in EOTM….

The weird reward structure and achieves seem rushed – like maybe they wanted the tournament to start on a certain day….. That said, it was explained how it works….

DB full, yet is still a losing match against YB. Not happening. Both will get a resounding GTFO, regardless of what roleplay chairman chuckles says.
