The downfall of 9.99 accounts – how many were new players? How many were existing that just wanted an option to play on other servers if in a bad match? How many were troll/spy accounts?
No chance of winning in the fa match. The one in t3 wins pretty handily. So the other 2 try to not lose too much glicko while tryng for 2nd that week….
Been that way for some time, so really it becomes more about having fun (which it should anyway)
Current 24/7 long match is meaningless. Who really cares who wins the coverage war outside T1?
I suggest divide things up into 8-hour-long matches. The matchup determination would be like what the OP described, using time-zone dependent glicko.

Except rng decides the matchup with 3 of the 4 so close in Glicko…
No harm in choosing one of these servers and deleting / starting over again (I think 7 day cool down) if it doesn’t fit your needs… YB will also que all 4 on reset NA prime, just not as deep as fa.
My personal opinion – up levels welcome when there is no queue. If there is a que, some will most likely complain…… I could care less personally, but I can see it happening.
Best advice I saw was stick to ranged and follow a Zerg. Hamster mentioned other things too, but those are sort of mundane non exciting things (for me personally).
Race does affect your use of siege I think, Asura being shorter have a worse camera angle when using ACs, so you have a shorter line of sight I believe.

what about scrubs alt+f4ing? downed this condi teef in my matchup and he rage quitted twice. Than he proceeds to spam me with emotes. I mean I didn’t even do anything bad mannered, all I did was kill his friends one by one like bad henchmen in a movie.
What do you mean exactly? I thought there was an update (probably a good few months ago now) that made it so that if someone DCs or just straight up ragequits when downed in WvW that it still counts as a kill..
I heard there is a way to avoid it but clicking the new exit wvw button on the wvw tab but not sure
yeah this condi thief was doing this multiple times in a 30 min time frame. Kept dying to me and i did receive rewards but i feel that he deserved a finisher from me or me watching him slowly die. Still feel that there should be a consequence to this, ie you can’t go to wvw because of a dishonor system or something like that.
A timeout of say 15 mins would be great. It would be better if it only kicked in the second time (allowing for 1 legit dc)…..
IIRC it is statistically impossible for the T1 matchup to change right now. That means NA t3 will always be 1 T2 server vs 2 T4 servers. This will go on until one of the t2 server implodes or one of the t1 servers implode.
We need to hasten the implosion with another season. At this point the only good time on T3 is reset and perhaps a couple of hours late night EST.
Comeon’ Anet just flip the switch for a season. Not like it’ll take much work, just do a repeat of S3.

I didn’t buy any IoJ. And for anyone considering FA, we have all 4 maps queued from ~reset until I go to bed. Complete horse kitten. I love WvW and I now basically hate WvW.
You used the term we meaning server. I used the term you in the same context – server not you in particular… Either way, I’d imagine the queues will lighten as people just give up or move off. I don’t think my alt account on Jq has as bad of queues right now as you all. I feel you – does suck not being able to play when you want to where you have played for any length of time…..

We didn’t do this. I’ve been on FA for years and this is the worst WvW experience I’ve ever had. All these bandwagoners piling on to FA have made it so tonight (at 1:30 in the morning) was the first time I’ve gotten to play WvW in weeks. It’s absolutely miserable. A lot of the hardcore base of FA are pretty upset.

I am not too sure how YB got matched with two T4 servers honestly. It was like a 3% chance and whammo it happened. For whatever reason T1 doesn’t want to mix with T2 at all. You see it week after week. Whichever server starts to drop close to T2 levels mysteriously wins that next week, and the Glicko rises too high to roll T2. T2 servers don’t have the offhours coverage to really threaten any T1 servers, but NA would be sweet.
Dragonbrand has the off-hour coverage to compete in T1, but not the NA coverage.
I’ve seen it mentioned a few times before on these forums that the T1 servers do actually work together to make sure they fight nobody else. They manipulate Glicko rating constantly.
Which is too bad, fa might put up a good fight if cycled in once in awhile….. Not saying fa t1 all the time, but every now and then……
The other thing is to not wait until the end for wvw completion, but that is too late for this character.
If you have alts you may want completion on, cycle through all your alts grabbing the areas that you own….. Keep checking each day or week and you will get all.
If you happen to get a lopsided match, you might get all in quick order. I mapped my level 35 necro that has like 15% pve completion the other day when YB owned a good percentage of all maps…. I don’t know if I will ever map complete this toon, but set in case I do……
Pretty sure someone posted threads of a T2 server inquiring about “assisting” hundreds of ioj to join them. That effort as 1 mass transfer maybe went no where and may have been in jest, but maybe some guilds inquired back?

It has been this way for months…. Poor nsp – ioj got pounded forever. Not sure if ioj was poached (think so) or just tanked to get out of that mess (makes sense) or a little bit of both….
T2 seems to have rotational lag. By rotational I mean that the lag strikes certain BLs for an entire week then may / may not move to another BL the next week.
For the longest time no one could even play on SoS BL for two weeks straight. It was incredible that they had to squeeze essentially all the players from FA/SoS/YB onto FABL, YBBL, and EBG.
unfortuantely, the game is heading towards a direction where the idea of “rebuilding” a server is quite impossible due to lack of population. as the population decline, wvw become inbalance and then it become less fun.
You are mistaken as I see it. The game is moving the the exact direction to build up a servers population. Nothing revitalizes and MMO like an expansion pack.

And how many Pvx will escape back to pve for a bit as most of the things mentioned in the expansion so far are pve…

Totally agree. When I played rift pvp – the most fun to be had was yoloing against guildies rest of the match be kitten ed……. I don’t imagine this being any different other than outsiders accusing multi server guilds of spying blah blah blah.
Isn’t the real problem with the rallybot is that they rally a multitude of players? If there was a rally mechanic, but only rallied 1:1 instead wouldn’t that be a good middle ground?
I just laugh off the pea brains that spam /laugh or other whatever emotes after zerging you down 3:1 or more. If that bothers you, just turn emotes off. If they spawn camp, go to another bl. If they spawn cap every bl – just do something else. Let them have no fun too….
I haven’t been in matchups so bad it isn’t fun, but I know we won’t win with fa in the match. As long as I am having fun, don’t really care about 2 bonus chests…….
Regardless, I’m buying it because I enjoy other elements outside of WvW.

i was excited when i thought it was free.
but to me the value is not worth the cost unless its cheap. like $25 max. wvw has been really zergy lately and i think the new map will only compound that, stronghold is not a pvp mode that i care much for, pve has no interest for me, and that leaves just the new class, while interesting isn’t worth the cost by itself.
I am sry but that is some pie in the sky number its going to be 50$ or higher for sure stop asking for less your not getting it and “holding your breath” till you get it at that price is only going to harm you more then any thing else. The very fact that there is a Zergy is saying that WvW is populated. If players wish to run together as a group that IS up to the players not the game makers. If you do not want to run with the group and most feel like you then there would be no real zergs but your simply not in the main group of wvw players.

Of course you can delete all existing characters and transfer for free if you don’t want to spend the gems…..
If you have tomes and ascended gear you could bank the goodies and be be back to fully geared in an instant on a brand spanking new server. If you use exotics – they are pretty cheap to re-buy…….
Actually I ended up doing that, don’t have tomes but i’m gonna level up in WvW and EOTM and buy the gear with honor, I think the only bad side is that i’ll have to farm the traits for every new character I make.
I transfered to TC, and the difference is huge, even at 4am there were people roaming everywhere and talking all the time. In SF at the same hour there were literally 3 people trying to defend a keep from a middle sized group, that’s all the action I could find at that hour.

Lopsided matches aren’t won because winning server has gold to buy blueprints. They have the supply to build them in en masse…. I’ve never been a fan of the omegas myself, but others like them so meh…..
I wouldn’t be so fast for YB to blame fa or fa to blame YB either. The only person that really knows is the troll and you don’t think they could be lying when asked?
Considering so many crafting recipes require these – 200 for legendary – I’d be surprised if in the end the user doesn’t have a choice between Xp and mastery even in pve…… That or recipes better change……
Bg, TC, JQ, and Db is full I think. If you wanted any of those you will have to keep checking… Be aware that there are 4 t2 servers which screws up t3 right now as 1 drops down to that match each week…..
I prefer some form of ppk myself. It seemed points to all who tagged (if that was true) might be a bit much, but some version of ppk is good IMHO. If it could be tweaked to assist outnumbered or trailing servers (when trailing by some fixed amount) even better.
While every server has probably done this (db did it to YB this week, but to a lesser extent), take some personal responsibility and don’t be a jerk yourself…… When eb and YB took it to the extreme extent of both spawn camping SBI on ebg (while having a dance off for extra poor taste) in season 1 – I said something in map chat and never entered ebg again that week. My server mates were jerks that day – I didn’t need to be one myself and try to justify it……
That said……
If my server is spawn camping I will go elsewhere. If there truelly are no other fights, i just do somethiNg else or log.
If my server is being spawncamped, I don’t bother with alternate exits – I move BLs – preferably the campers BL. If said server is spawn camping everywhere, I simply log. I don’t think I have ever seen every bl spawn camped at the same time…..Don’t feed them and they will get bored just like the trolls they are. Once they are bored and leave, you can renter the field of play….
I don’t see how classifying servers and base scoring on those servers by time is selfish at all as long as the servers have options for the majority of the world wide players to count the most.
It may not be easy or even worth the time, but I don’t think it should be dismissed so easily as"selfish"……..
But they could classify servers as am pm server (or something like NA prime sea prime eu prime etc) and score based on server type. Anyone can still play any of the servers and they are open 24/7, but this might provide a guide for the players to choose the servers wisely.
i don’t think it is a bad idea, but needs to account for various prime times being able to count as the primary score times. Then people that still want to pvdoor ‘off time’ they can do that as well.

But yea ground target from right in front of you and move it further away. At some point it will change from red to green assuming you will have line of sight… Then you will sort of know the range for next time.

Except we queued dbbl last night not SOsbl. How many times was sosbl queued by fa when ybbl was not last week? So maybe not 2 v 1, but fa focus which is nearly as strong as 2 v 1 considering fa is the new t 1.5.
I don’t think SOS is nearly as strong as you think (especially the OCX coverage), but we all can have opinions…..

As bad as tourneys are, I am interested to see how fa would fare. They have gained a lot of peeps – and not all NA prime. They always were a strong server anyway And now they appear to be the t 1.5 server.
