Hey DoctorDing, I’m in the same boat as you – I’d like to get the spoon so it can go towards the achievement. Not really interested in WvW beyond that. Please let me know how it goes for you.
I love the new Shatterer! It beats the holy heck out of the way it was before.
As others have said, a lot depends on how well the event is organized, and whether players are doing what needs to be done. I’ve only seen the event fail once, and it was because players weren’t destroying the Pulsating Crystals fast enough, allowing Shatterer to heal.
More convincing to me is the fact that the character is wearing all purple and has Kudzu. At the risk of sounding like a creepy stalker Gaile likes purple and has been collecting cool bow skins since GW1.
It’s not just purple, it’s Blacklight, the most expensive purple.
Yeah, you’re right, it’s probably her alt account (because her main is Gaile Gray, not Gaile).
I’ve succeeded in finding the rare, elusive Anet employee!
I wonder how many Achievement points that’s worth. Better check your Hero Panel, maybe there’s a title.
Finder Of The Holy Gaile.
Best. Forum. Post. Ever!
I would like to see mini wolves and wolf pups.
Same here too, and willing to help! Just let me know where and when.
Hi lolly!
You might be interested in the Royal Order of Fun Lunatics [ROFL]. We’re a small, semi-casual, adult (18+), NA guild. We’re primarily PvE, and we have a couple of members who play PvP and WvW. Our members range in experience from new to veteran. We have members across several time zones, including one in the UK.
We’re casual in that we don’t have minimum play time requirements, and our events are never mandatory. Real life always comes first!
If you’d like to know more, we have a website you can visit at Royal Order of Fun Lunatics.
I wish you all the best in finding a guild home!
Hi ninjarozak!
If you’re still looking for a guild, you may be interested in Royal Order of Fun Lunatics [ROFL].
We’re an adult (18+), NA, semi-casual, PvE guild.
We’re in the Mountain Time zone, but we have members from PST to EST, one in Europe, and one in New Zealand – so there’s almost always someone around.
Our members’ experience levels range from New to Veteran, and we’re always willing to help new players learn the ins and outs of the game.
We’re on Henge of Denravi server, but that would only be an issue for WvW. We have a couple of members who play that game mode, but we haven’t done WvW content as a guild yet.
We have a private TeamSpeak server that we use for our guild events, and we use Skype occasionally if we do content with one of our alliance guilds (they prefer Skype). We’re all English-speaking.
We have guild events scheduled throughout the week, including dungeon runs, world bosses, and guild missions.
If you think you’d be interested, you can visit our Royal Order of Fun Lunatics website for more info.
I wish you all the best in finding just the right guild home!
Hi EzraRay!
My guild, Royal Order of Fun Lunatics [ROFL], is an adult (18+) PvE guild, and we do dungeons and bosses weekly, as well as our weekly guild missions. We have a couple of people who enjoy PvP and WvW, but our main focus is PvE. We don’t require 100% rep for any of our members except leadership.
You didn’t say what time zone you’re in. We’re in MST, and we have members from PST to EST, one in Europe, and one in New Zealand, so there would most likely be someone from the guild around most of the time.
We use TS3 for our guild events, and very occasionally we use Skype.
If you think you might be interested, you can visit our website Royal Order of Fun Lunatics to learn more.
Hi Charmander
You’re welcome to apply if you think weekends only might work for you. The only issue I can see is that you might still end up with a lot of solo time on your hands. I would hate for you to become discouraged because it was difficult for you to find guildies to join with you.
Whether with us, or elsewhere, I hope you’ll find just the right guild!
Hi SwiftlyHD
I appreciate your interest in our guild very much, and thank you for taking the time to post to ask about it.
The short answer to your question is, yes, it is necessary to be 18 or older to join our guild.
A person’s level of maturity is only one of the reasons for our 18+ rule. Availability (due to school, parental rules, etc.), and mature subject matter in guild chat and on TS are some others.
I hope you’ll continue to enjoy your gaming experiences in GW2, and I wish you all the best in finding a guild home.
Hi,
I saw your post and remembered seeing an ad for an all-asura guild here

Hope this helps!
Hi!

Hi mangolemonade!
Ah, a fellow GW1 player! I haven’t played it in quite some time, but I really enjoyed it.
I’m the co-leader of the Royal Order of Fun Lunatics [ROFL]. We’re a small, casual guild in the NA region.
We’re mainly a PvE guild, and we have a few members who enjoy PvP and WvW. We have a couple of members who are experienced in those game modes and are willing to teach newcomers. We’re on Henge of Denravi (for WvW purposes).
We’re an adult (18+) guild, and our members range in experience from new to veteran.
We’re based in the Mountain Time Zone (UTC-7), but we have members from PST to EST, and even one in Europe. Evenings, late night, and weekends are our most active times.
We’re a non-elitist guild. We try to be helpful, answer questions, and encourage our members to do the best they can and have a good time. Harassing members for any reason is not tolerated.
We have a guild hall (Gilded Hollow), website, Facebook page, and private TS3 server.
We love to have fun! From time to time we’ll have events such as guild parties (sometimes themed!); games of hide and seek; trivia games; races and jumping puzzles; and any other fun content we can dream up.
If you’d like to know more, please visit our website at http://roflguild.shivtr.com. If you’d like to apply to join us, you can do that there as well.

I’m just going to list some questions I have in the hope that some people might know of good solutions to them.
1) Inactivity – do you kick them or keep them on? I’m talking over 3 months inactive and roster space is not the problem.
2) The Zero contributors – They hardly ever represent or help the guild in anyway, but they might still be a friend of someone else in the guild.
3)The off lines (invisible) – they seem to always be set to invisible, you know they have been online as you can tell when they last logged in, but they are never “online”
4) “guild chat?! what’s that?” people that just ignore anything in guild chat and never respond or might once in a blue moon when it suites them.
My guild is small, and I’ve described it as ‘casual’, although reading the posts above, we’re probably closer to ‘semi-casual’.
Anyway, in answer to your questions -
1) My guild has policies in place to cover this exact issue.
- Inactive for 1 month with or without reason – placed in ‘inactive’ rank, no privileges.
- Gave notice and return from inactive (no time limit) – restored to previous rank.
- No notice and return from inactive (before end of second month) – demoted one rank.
- No notice, no return for 2 months – removed from guild.
Because there are sometimes situations beyond a person’s control, the guild leaders can opt to reinstate the person who didn’t give notice. It’s up to the leaders’ discretion.
2) Our guild is a no-rep required guild, except for officers and admins. I don’t want our members to feel pressured, because maybe they have friends in other guilds they like to play with, or maybe there’s another guild that does content we don’t do very much.
One of the ways I encourage people to contribute, whether it be their participation, or materials and items, is to tie contributions to rank promotion. I made it pretty easy for them to accomplish this, with just 2 events per month and 2 contributions per week in order to advance. The higher the rank, the longer they’ll have to have been members, as their contributions are cumulative. There are still some members who don’t contribute or participate, so they just won’t advance. I do remind them when they’re close to the next rank, and what they need to do to accomplish it. Then it’s up to them.
3) I think people sometimes make themselves invisible because they just want some time on their own, and that’s okay with me. None of our events or activities (even missions) are mandatory, because I want our members to enjoy the game without feeling pressured. If they just need their space, I totally understand!
I’m usually ‘invisible’ at least once a day, because, as a guild leader, there are things I need to do in order to make the guild run as smoothly as possible. I need to be able to do these things without interruptions.
4) I will usually say “Hi” when I see guild members online, and most of them will say “Hi” back. Sometimes that’s the extent of it. If you don’t have a group of particularly chatty people, then you’ll have a pretty quiet guild chat. I don’t mind it; and if I’m in the mood for talkative people, there’s always map chat!

Hi! If you still need help claiming your guild hall, I’m happy to help out.
Hi shishiao!
I’m the co-leader of the Royal Order of Fun Lunatics [ROFL]. We’re primarily a PvE guild, but a couple of us have done a little PvP, and we have a member who is very good at PvP and is willing to help people new to that game mode. We may add WvW if/when there is interest in doing that.
We want to build a community of friends who are close to one another, and happy to support and encourage each other. We’re an adult guild (18+), and we welcome newcomers and veterans alike. We currently have 9 members, and we’d like to have around 30 or so.
We’re based in the U.S. in the Mountain Time Zone, but players from any server or time zone are welcome to apply to join us. On weekdays we’re active at different times throughout the day. Evenings and weekends are more active, and we do weekly Guild Missions on Sundays at 1:00 PM MST (8:00 PM GMT).
We currently have a Guild Hall with a Tavern (level 1), Guild Vault, General Merchant and repair anvil. We have an Armorer, and a Weaponsmith in the Guild Initiative Office in Lion’s Arch. We use TeamSpeak 3 and have a private server.
If we sound like the sort of guild you’re looking for, and if you’d like to be a part of helping us grow, you can visit our website at http://roflguild.shivtr.com to submit an application.

We’re based in the US in the mountain time zone, but we have members across the country. We’re most active during evenings (anywhere from 7pm to midnight or later) and weekends, and we do weekly guild missions on Sundays at 1pm. We’re working on a schedule that will include events and activities throughout the week that members can join if they want. We use TS3 and have a private server.
We have a website you’re welcome to check out at http://roflguild.shivtr.com You can also contact me in-game if you have any questions.
I don’t mind most of the creepy crawlies in the game, but…spiders o.O So…many…spiders! Aagghh! I suffer from arachnophobia, so if I’m adventuring alone I try to avoid spiders at all costs. If I’m with a party/squad, I do my best so that I’m not a burden to my teammates, but it’s hard to fight well when I can barely stand to look at the screen! lol
So my request is, may we pleeease not have so many spiders in LS3 and any upcoming expansion? Pretty please?!
I have both the permanent Airship Pass and the Royal Terrace pass, and I like and use them both. The airship is closer to waypoints to the east, and the terrace is closer to waypoints to the west. You can also get to all the major cities (for free!) from either one.
I agree with Elden. If you want to keep your guild small, having an alliance is a great way to still be able to do content that requires more people, and you get to make some nice friends!
A solution for this problem actually existed in GW1. It was called Hard Mode. Before the start of a mission, you could enable hard mode for more challenging content. This was great for those elite groups of players that found normal mode too easy.
Solution is to add hard mode to raids. Move the current level of raid difficulty and rewards to hard mode. In normal mode, make the content easier and also nerf the rewards accordingly.
I really like this idea. I’ve only done one raid when HoT was in beta, and it was really fun. Since the release, though, I haven’t done any raids because it’s so hardcore.
I think having a normal mode for less skilled players would make them feel more comfortable about trying raids. Also, if they have a skilled player willing to teach them, they can learn to become more skilled. Eventually they might be able to play in Hard Mode.
Hey Addison!
Royal Order of Fun Lunatics [ROFL] is a small, casual guild located on Henge of Denravi. Our focus is mainly PvE. A couple of us have played a little PvP (we do have a couple of very good PvPers too), and we may do some WvW if/when there is interest in doing that.
We’re an adult guild (18+), and we welcome newcomers and veterans alike. We currently have 9 members, and we’d like to eventually have around 30 to 50 members at most. We want to build a community of friends who are happy to support and encourage each other, not strangers in a long list of other strangers.
We’re based in the U.S. in the Mountain Time Zone, but players from any server or time zone are welcome to apply to join us. Enough of us are online at various times that you would be more than likely to find someone around. On weekdays we’re active at different times throughout the day. Evenings and weekends are more active, and we do weekly Guild Missions on Sundays at 1:00 PM MST (8:00 PM GMT). We’re in the process of adding more activities/events as our guild grows. This past Sunday we had a Guild Hall Warming Party and it was a blast! We plan to do more social events of that nature, as well as group activities…like Boss Trains!
We currently have a Guild Hall (Gilded Hollow), Vault, General Merchant, Armorer, and Weaponsmith. We use TeamSpeak 3 and have our own server. We also have a Facebook page.

Set your Guild Missions to PvE. Most of those are easily possible with just a few people. The bounties, and maybe the treks might be the exception. (Though 6 locations in 20 minutes might be possible still if you use wiki)
We set ours to PvE and so far we’ve only done treks. We do the easy one, 5 locations in 15 minutes, and we’ve managed to complete it with sometimes only 2 or 3 people. We did use wiki and it really helped. Of course, this entirely depended upon how hard it was to get to the marks. If we got lucky with several easy places, it went really well. It’s also really helpful if you have at least one person who has map completion.
@ Suicidal Hamster – I totally understand where you’re coming from. I also have a small guild and we struggled to the point of utter frustration trying to get our guild hall. We had the gold and the favor, but we just couldn’t defeat the mordrem with our numbers. We were finally able to get it after I saw a post in the Players Helping Players forum https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/players . Another small guild was seeking help to get their gh, and offered their help in return.
Not only did we get our hall and help them get theirs, but we made some good friends too.
I know the mats are going to take us a while, but we’ll get there.
I wish you the best of luck getting your hall!
I don’t believe they can promote someone to a higher rank than they are themselves, right?
That’s correct. The problem is, they can kick people from the guild who are lower rank than them, and promote people to the same level as them. I’m of the opinion this is just asking for trouble if the promote/demote privilege is given to someone not well enough known to the guild admins to be able to determine whether they would abuse the privilege.
I like the black and white wings as they are. They work well for angelic characters, whether they be heavenly or dark. I also like the hawk wings for my characters who are nature-oriented.
I would also love to see the butterfly wings in a larger glider version, and definitely with dye channels.
I would also like to see Anet separate these permissions, and I’ve seen other people ask for this as well. I’d like some of my lower rank members to be able to invite people to the guild, while reserving the promote/demote permission for higher ranks. I hope they will do this eventually.
I’m looking for a small guild like that as well, feels really boring to login alone just to start the grind game for mastery experience.
Don’t really like huge guilds too much, I’d very much prefer a small and close-knitted guild.
Hi Hakata!
You might also be interested in our guild. I’m often in game at times when people from SEA are playing, so that might work out. See my post above for the link to our website.
Hi Zabstract!
You might be interested in my guild, Royal Order of Fun Lunatics[ROFL]. We’re a small, casual NA guild. We’re an 18+ guild, and we don’t tolerate drama or elitist jerks. We just love to play the game and have fun.
We have a website you can check out to see if we’re a good fit for you.
Best of luck to you in your search for a guild home.

Last year, when they made the black wings a backpack/glider combo, you could speak to any scout in Verdant Brink to get the wings as a glider if you’d already purchased them as a backpack. I don’t know if this is still the case. This applied to the white wings as well.
Hi Addison!
I have an 18+ small guild, and hope to have no more than 50 members max eventually. Most of us are players who’ve returned to the game, and our experience is varied. You wouldn’t have to play alone, as we welcome new players and are happy to help you reach your end-game goals.
As DogG mentioned above, servers aren’t an issue unless you play WvW. We primarily play PvE, although a couple of us have played a little bit of PvP. We may eventually get into WvW if there’s enough interest.
We do weekly guild missions right now, and plan to have additional activities that we can do together on a regular basis.
We have a website where you can learn more about us, and where you can apply to join us if you’re interested. http://roflguild.shivtr.com .
:)
Thank you so much to the awesome people of NWC, as well as to Donari and Black Sun Empress, for helping us get our guild hall! We couldn’t have done it without you! Not only did we get our guild hall, but we made some very nice friends too.
As Elden said, it was a lot of fun with decent numbers! It was still a challenge, but in a good way.
Thank you again everyone!
@Elden – Okay. I’ll check in-game from time to time to see when you’re on. Thank you for the opportunity to share help getting our guild halls.
edited to add: My apologies about the time difference. I thought I’d mentioned it, but after I read your post, I realized I hadn’t.
(edited by Little Leota.5849)
Thank you for letting us share the battles for our guild halls. I’ll send you a friend request, Elden, if that’s okay.
The food and utilities we have are: spicier flank steak, tropical peppermint cakes, master maintenance oil, and peppermint oil. If there are other things we should be using instead, please let me know.
For voice chat we use TS3.
The only environmental consumable we have that will work is the Birthday Blaster. If the others are available on the tp for reasonable prices, we’d be happy to get them. I wish the Healing Seed Pod worked though; I have that one! lol (I love Dulfy’s site!)
We’ve also tried with 4, and even with 5 once, and we weren’t successful. My research agrees with yours, Elden – the event scales up if you have more than 9.
We all have ranged professions that we can bring – two of us have both ranger & necro plus I have a mesmer as well. One of us has an ele. I can bring my mesmer for porting people through who don’t have the first exalted mastery (one of ours doesn’t have it yet), and I can switch to either ranger or necro afterwards if that would work. I do have a warrior, but haven’t been very successful using her for this event.
As far as time, it would be 5pm to 9pm for us, so we might have to take dinner breaks; otherwise that works fine for us. We can stagger our dinner breaks so that only one of us is afk at a time, if that would help.
edited to add: we have our own private TS3 server, so if you’d like to use that it would be fine. Let me know!
(edited by Little Leota.5849)
We’re also a small guild attempting to get Gilded Hollow, so if Donari isn’t able to help you, we’d be happy to. The only thing is that only 3 of us will be available at that time, so if that’s a problem, I understand. In any case, best of luck to you and if we can be of help, we will!
Hi Depx!

Gw2 is heavily casual, loyalty or more accurately, camaraderie do not exist in many. It is a sad thing for gw2. Many people simply hop from one guild to another, just to pass time, achieve their personal goals and that’s it.
It is sad that loyalty and camaraderie are lacking. I’ve already experienced one guild hopper, and I know it won’t be the last time.
My guild is pretty much casual at this point, but I don’t think being casual should preclude loyalty. That’s why I mentioned the resources both the guild and it’s members contribute. Why do this if there’s no loyalty?
That’s not to say that loyalty to a guild precludes belonging to any other guild. If a player wants to remain “in the ranks” of the guild (so to speak) while doing the same in other guilds, that’s perfectly fine. However, if a player would like to eventually be a part of guild leadership, an early showing of loyalty to that guild is important, imo.
100% this. You are not the only one.
Thank you Kyle! It’s good to know there are others who feel the same way.

To me, repping a guild is a matter of honor. If I’m going to take the time to join a guild and find out about them, and they about me; if I’m going to invest my game time, gold, and mats with this guild, and they’re investing their time helping me, then I want to be proud to represent them.
It’s nice that guilds don’t have to require 100% repping anymore, and it gives their members a lot more freedom. But, as a guild leader, I’m watching to see what my guild members do, or don’t do, when thinking about to whom i should offer promotions. Just as I would rep my guild in order to show my pride in, and loyalty to, them, I would hope to see the same from my guild members.
I think it would be difficult to develop a tight-knit group if everyone is always off doing his or her own thing, with no thought to loyalty to those who ‘have your back’ so to speak.
I dunno, maybe I’m old fashioned in that regard.
The Royal Order of Fun Lunatics [ROFL] is a small, adult (18+), semi-casual guild in the NA region. We’re a friendly, close community who support, help, and encourage each other, and we welcome both newcomers and veterans. As our name says, our guild is about having fun! It’s great to win, but we believe the fun is also in the adventures and experiences along the way.
We are primarily PvE, with a few members who also enjoy PvP and WvW.
Evenings and late nights are our most active times. Although we’re based in Mountain time (UTC-7), (UTC-6 during Daylight Saving Time), we have members from Pacific to Eastern time.
We have no rep requirement, but we hope our members will represent us as often as possible. All members are expected to represent the guild during missions, events, and activities.
We are a non-elitist guild. We don’t kick members for “not being good enough”. We do our best to be helpful, answer questions, and encourage our members to do the best they can and have a good time.
We offer the following resources to our members:
- Guild Hall (Gilded Hollow)
- Tavern (level 1)
- Mine (level 1)
- Workshop (level 1)
- Market (level 1)
- War Room (level 1)
- Guild Vault
- General Merchant
- Repair Anvil
- Guild Armorer
- Guild Weaponsmith
- Guild Trader
- Guild Portal
- Website
- Facebook Page
- TS3 – private server
We love to have fun! From time to time we’ll have events such as guild parties (sometimes themed!); games of hide and seek; trivia games; scavenger hunts; and any other fun activities we can dream up. It’s our goal to make membership in our guild a fun, enjoyable and rewarding experience.
Please visit our website at http://roflguild.shivtr.com/, where you can learn more about us, and if you’d like to join us, you can apply there as well.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact Little Leota.5849 or cyberfew.2054 in-game by either mail or whisper. We’ll do our best to answer your questions promptly.

I’d start with removing the mini map icon, and possibly the apple over your head. Leave the [ mentor ] part in chat, this way people wont use it for a tag.
Then possibly a search feature?
I don’t see a problem with the mentor tag. During the Halloween event in the Labyrinth, there were many times someone would tag up with their mentor tag to lead players when there were no commanders available and/or willing to tag up. Quite a few of the mentors were very good at leading. I think it would be a disservice to the community to take away the mentor tags and map icons.
I like the idea of a search for mentor feature.
I tell you there is a bug, you say you know, then you attempt to disprove it, that’s willful ignorance. You are free to run gingerbread it’s not illegal but you are hurting other player’s chances of success.
What I said was I have heard about the bug, and I didn’t attempt to disprove it; I wanted to see for myself what you were talking about. I did not see it. I find it interesting that, in your next post, you explain your observations which you use as your “proof”, even though you completely discounted my observations as “willful ignorance”. I would appreciate it if you would please refrain from calling me ignorant, willful or otherwise, for I am neither.
I don’t need your permission to run gingerbread, of course it isn’t illegal to do so, and no one is hurting other players’ chances of success when they can simply start again. How very condescending of you.
Why did you begin this thread if you intend to insult anyone who doesn’t share your opinion? It would appear it wasn’t meant to foster discussion or debate; rather, it seems you were simply looking for others with whom to commiserate. I offer my sincerest apologies for posting to your thread in reply to the points you set forth. Clearly we have differing views and that doesn’t seem to be what you were after. Cheers.
