Thank you very much for the responses.
I didn’t remember there was no “sell at trading post” option in the demo, so the funds I couldn’t access must have been from prior sales. I knew I did ‘something’ with the mats, and it was probably Deposit.
In any event, I also relogged and the funds were gone. I’m also unsure if it vanished or a bug, or whatever. Since then, though, I’ve been able to pick up funds that have come in since I relogged. Whatever it was, it seems to have been remedied.
Arcan, I’m also getting a Network error now, but that’s probably a different topic for a different thread.
As the topic title says, I can’t take funds from the Black Lion Trading Company Delivery Box.
This may be my own fault; I sold some mats on the Trading Post from the demo by right clicking on the items and selecting ‘Sell at Trading Post’, but I don’t know if that’s why I can’t withdraw anything with a non-demo character.
When I went to a Trading Post NPC while in the demo, it said the BLTC isn’t available during the demo, so it was a ‘duh’ moment for me.
Does this mean I will just have to wait until the demo ends and everything goes back to normal, or did I break my access to the Trading Post delivery box?
Thank you very much for your help!
Last week I commanded an open-join squad in PvE. A player joined us and eventually began kicking other squad members, as well as cancelling squad invites. Is there a way to prevent this? From what I’ve read on the wiki, as well as other pages I searched, squad members should not be able to do this if there is a Commander running the squad.
My bank, inventory bags, and I thank you. I’m really looking forward to this. You rock!
I wouldn’t say I “hate” any of the maps, but these are the 5 I dislike the most:
Kessex Hills – I would actually enjoy this map if it weren’t for one thing: the Toxic Spider Queen. I have arachnophobia, so when she is up I avoid that area like the plague. It’s inconvenient, to say the least, to have to find ways around an otherwise useful road to travel.
Snowden Drifts – I’m not sure why, but this map has always irritated me.
Brisban Wildlands – The spider canyons on the east and northeast of the map, and just a general dislike for the layout. It seems disjointed to me.
Mount Maelstrom – Although there’s a lot of good gathering and two fun world bosses there, there are way too many spiders for my comfort.
Bitterfrost Frontier – Spiders here? Really? Outdoor spiders typically become less active, and even dormant, in the cold. Although they can survive at temperatures down to 23 degrees F (-5 degrees C), Bitterfrost is certainly colder than that! I live in an area that experiences temps well below 23, so I know what that kind of cold looks like. Also, I hate being “frozen” by the ice storms every time I’m trying to get from point A to point B. So irritating.
Honorable mention goes to Southsun Cove. Not a whole lot to do here except when the Karka Queen is up. When there are other events, you have to chase all over the map, with few and oddly placed waypoints, to get to them. I also don’t like the guild mission Race there – my guild will usually skip that one. It’s just not fun.
There are no less than 5 threads across this forum, the ‘Bugs’ forum, and the ‘Discussion’ forum dealing with this topic. Perhaps, if the threads were merged, the magnitude of the problem might become more evident.
With the topic spread out like this, it gives the impression that the problem isn’t very widespread, when, with all the threads taken together, it appears it’s more pervasive than it may seem.
I think we’d all appreciate it if someone from ArenaNet would give us an update on what’s happening as soon as it’s feasible to do so.
(I’m still having the same issues this morning as I was last night; in fact, logging in is even more difficult.)
I’m experiencing the same issues as others have mentioned in this thread: the game disconnects quite often when I change maps or enter an instance. Sometimes, after being disconnected, the login screen hangs and I have to try again. Some of my guildies are having the same problems. This seems similar to the issue that happened about a week ago or so.
Our recruitment is closed at this time, but if you would like to be considered for membership in the future please feel free to submit an application. We will keep any applications we receive and they will be evaluated when we open recruitment again.

After a long and relaxing holiday weekend, ROFL is ready to roll! This week we’re tackling the Karka Queen and Tequatl, going on Helpful Adventures, exploring Sparkfly Fen, giving the Pact a hand in the Silverwastes, and working on our Raiding skills. If this sounds exciting and interesting, take a look at our website for details, and while you’re there you can submit an application to join us!
Members of [ROFL] enjoyed exploring the new map and content of ‘A Crack in the Ice’ Episode 3 of Living World Season 3 yesterday, and we’re continuing the fun tonight with Quaggan Night! [ROFL] loves any reason to celebrate, whether it’s holidays or new content. Be a part of a fun-loving guild and celebrate with us! Visit our website for information and an application.
[ROFL] does more than just high level and end game content. We rotate through dungeons, one per week, from Ascalonian Catacombs to Crucible of Eternity. It’s okay if you’ve never done a dungeon before; we’re happy to help you. If you’re familiar with dungeons but tired of looking for pugs, we’re here for you too. Take a look at the Events Calendar on our website to see which dungeons we’ll be doing, then complete a membership application to be part of some fun dungeon explorations!

Thank you for the update, Gaile. I appreciate that, within about 15 minutes of the first post, you let us know that your team is working on it!
Have you been avoiding raids because: 1) you’re concerned about getting kicked if you’re not experienced; 2) you’d rather play with people you know; 3) you don’t have ascended gear; 4) you’re not sure which profession to play or how to play it (in Raids); 5) any or all of the above?
You don’t have to avoid them anymore. ROFL does Raid Training every Thursday evening. We have an experienced leader who is patient and kind. She’ll explain what gear you need (exotic is fine), and which build she thinks will work the best. She doesn’t follow the Meta to the letter; instead she composes our squad in a way that will help us learn the mechanics of Raiding.
We’re not a ‘Raiding Guild’; we do all kinds of game content by our principle: it’s great to win, but the fun is also in the adventures and experiences along the way.
We laugh, we wipe, we laugh some more, and get back up and try again. That’s the ROFL approach to raiding.
Visit [ROFL] on our website to learn more about us and fill out an application.

Hey Hip Uncle Z!
The Royal Order of Fun Lunatics [ROFL] is primarily PvE, and we do all the types of content you mentioned plus, we’re learning raids. Some of our members like to do PvP and/or WvW, but those game modes aren’t our main focus.
Most of our events are in the evening to late night. We have members in all time zones across the U.S.
It’s been our experience that the game is even better when you have other people to play alongside.
There’s more information on our guild recruitment post, and you can also visit our website at Royal Order of Fun Lunatics.
Whether with us or another guild, I wish you the best in finding a great place to call your guild home.
(edited by Little Leota.5849)
The Royal Order of Fun Lunatics [ROFL] is a small, adult (18+), semi-casual guild in the NA region.
We’re primarily a PvE guild, but we do have a few members who also enjoy PvP and WvW. Most of us are in-game during the evening, and some stay into late night.
Players of all experience levels are welcome. Elitism isn’t our style, and you’ll never be told to “git gud”. We support, help, and encourage each other because we want our members to have a good time while doing the best they can. It’s great to win, but the fun is also in the adventures and experiences along the way.
We’re a small guild by design. Rather than a large guild with a loose affiliation of players, we remain small to give all members the opportunity to get to know each other. We’ve become more than just guildies; we’re also friends.
So, what do we have to offer? In addition to the camaraderie of friends, we have:
- A level 26 guild hall (Gilded Hollow)
- A detailed and well-maintained website
- A calendar of events, which includes dungeons, fractals, raids, guild missions, and more
- A private TeamSpeak 3 server
- A Facebook page
We have no rep requirement, although we would like our members to represent us as often as possible. All members should represent the guild during guild events and activities.
If we sound like the place you’d like to make your guild home, please read our Guild Policies and click here to apply to join us.
For more information you can visit us on our website Royal Order of Fun Lunatics.
If you have any questions or comments, feel free to post them in this thread. You can also contact us via in-game mail.
We wish you all the best, wherever you choose to make your guild home.
Happy and Fun Adventuring!

Hi Tharinock!
The Royal Order of Fun Lunatics [ROFL] is a small, adult (18+), semi-casual NA guild, with members ranging from new to veteran. We’re mainly PvE, with a few members who also enjoy PvP and WvW. We have one member who is experienced with raids and will begin leading us in them soon. We do guild missions every week on Sunday, plus a variety of PvE guild events throughout the week.
Please take a look at our guild recruitment post to learn more. You can also visit our website at Royal Order of Fun Lunatics.
I wish you all the best in your search for a guild home!
The members of the Royal Order of Fun Lunatics [ROFL] wish to say “Thank You” to the Guild Wars 2 Team and ArenaNet for four fantastic years of an awesome game!
Some of us have played from the Beta beginning, while others are fairly new; but we all enjoy our home in Tyria, and we hope to be here for a very long time!
Happy 4th Anniversary Guild Wars 2!
ROFL will be celebrating Guild Wars 2’s Fourth Anniversary and our Guild’s First Anniversary (which was July 1st, but we wanted to combine them) this evening at approximately 9:00 PM MDT (UTC-6) in Lion’s Arch at the Grand Piazza, nearest waypoint is Gate Hub Plaza Waypoint [&BBEEAAA=]. Everyone is welcome to join us! Bring your favorite toys and party favors, and let’s celebrate!

Same for me too.
It kicked me out right when I chose “Spit” on some gravestone in Frostgorge Sound. Thought it was my fault :P
This literally made me laugh out loud! I always worried about spitting on those gravestones.
Thank you ANet for addressing this so quickly.
Hi Supernova!
The Royal Order of Fun Lunatics [ROFL] may be a guild you’d like to consider.
We’re a small, adult (18+), semi-casual NA guild, with members ranging from new to veteran. We’re mainly PvE, with a few members who also enjoy PvP and WvW. The other guild leader and I are on HoD, but our members are on several different servers, as we’re not into WvW as a guild just yet.
Please take a look at our guild recruitment post to learn more. You can also visit our website at Royal Order of Fun Lunatics.
I wish you all the best in your search for a guild home!

I’d just like to add, non-guild members need to be partied up with at least 1 guild member in order to enter the instance. If you have more than 5 people (and I agree with Donari that you need at least 2 more), just make two parties.
I can assist as well, if I’m not busy with my guild. I’m usually in game starting around 8pm or 9pm MDT. We got our guild hall because of helpful players, including Donari. I’m happy to help without any payment – it’s my pleasure to pay it forward.
Thank you for the info Donari. It shouldn’t be a problem then.
I should add that I’m NA and available mountain time mornings or afternoons, evenings on Friday, and any time on Saturday.
Jewelers are also the only crafters who can make glass mugs (as far as I know) for guild halls.
I’d be happy to help, although I’m not all that familiar with Lost Precipice and I haven’t done the battle for that hall yet. Do you have some idea of when you’re going to do it?
To add to what Danikat said, taking it slow is sometimes the best option – use strategy to avoid mobs (like waiting until group events pass, or carefully finding your way around a mob you’d rather not fight).
If you’re playing a character with a profession that’s usually melee, see if there’s a ranged weapon available to that profession (there usually is), and use it to carefully pull enemies from mobs. That way you only have to fight one or two at a time in most cases. I did this with my warrior using a rifle, and it worked just fine.
Just take your time and try not to get too frustrated or impatient. It really is possible to complete Orr solo.
You can also work on any achievements you haven’t completed yet, including jumping puzzles (if you enjoy them).
I’m sorry to hear you’ve been met with sarcasm. It’s a shame, but all too often I see this kind of stuff in local and map chat. That being said, there are a lot of good people out there who’d be happy to point you in the right direction.
It worked! Thank you Stitch.
This is great info! I have all the pigments except brown, and it’s just too spendy on the TP. Thank you for sharing this tip!
Thank you for the info Stitch. I’ll let him know and see if this corrects the problem.
Last night my husband wanted to do some crafting. He started out on the Airship, and when he went to the crafting station the production panel did not show the list of known recipes. He tried again in the Royal Terrace and Lion’s Arch, both with the same result. The first character he tried it with was a level 500 Huntsman. He tried again with different characters that had different crafting disciplines/levels, and it did the same thing with all of them.
I tried with one of my characters, a level 180-something Huntsman, and mine worked just fine.
The Seraph Assault on Centaur Camps event chain doesn’t seem to be working. I was in Harathi Hinterlands today for the Modniir Ulgoth World Boss Event. As far as I was able to tell, the entire event chain leading up to the boss did not happen. I was there at 1:30 PM MDT (UTC-6), and the pre-events never started. Other people in map chat were saying it was bugged. We could hear Modniir taunting us, but there was nothing happening.
Hi aeollus!
You might be interested in our guild, Royal Order of Fun Lunatics [ROFL]. We’re a small, adult (18+), semi-casual NA guild, with members ranging from new to veteran. We’re mainly PvE, with a few members who also enjoy PvP and WvW.
We have various events throughout the week so there’s almost always something to do, but we’re not hardcore about it.
If you’re interested, please take a look at our website – Royal Order of Fun Lunatics.
I wish you all the best in finding a guild home!
Hi Mohawkrocks!
You might be interested in my guild, Royal Order of Fun Lunatics [ROFL].
We’re a small, adult (18+), semi-casual guild in the NA region. We’re building a close community of friends, and we welcome both new and verteran players. We do our best to support, help, and encourage each other, and we love to have fun!
We’re mainly PvE, with a few members who also enjoy PvP, and WvW. Although we’re based on Henge of Denravi server, we’re not server-focused. Members who want to play WvW together are free to join whichever server works best for them.
We’re based in the Mountain Time Zone (UTC-7), (UTC-6 during Daylight Saving Time), but we have members from PST to EST, and two in the UK. Evenings and late nights are our most active times.
There’s no rep requirement for members below officer level, but we hope those who join us will want to represent us as often as possible, and we expect all members to represent the guild when participating in guild missions, events and activities.
We have some great resources for our guild members, including the Gilded Hollow Guild Hall, a guild website, Facebook page, and private TS3 server.
If you’re interested, please take a look at our website Royal Order of Fun Lunatics. If you like what you see and want to join us, please fill out an application there.
Hope to hear from you soon!
Best wishes,
Little Leota.5849
Congratulations!
I’m happy to have volunteered, just sorry I wasn’t able to be there to participate.
I’m really glad you got your hall!
I love gliding and I’m glad we can now glide when using the launch pads at Teq, but I think it’s a disservice to those who don’t have HoT if they can no longer use them. The launch pads are super important to moving quickly between zones at Teq, and that goes for everyone, not just HoT players. I hope they will fix this to make them available again for everyone.
Hi SuperbDork!
You might be interested in my guild, Royal Order of Fun Lunatics [ROFL]. We’re a small, adult (18+), semi-casual NA guild, with members ranging from new to veteran. We’re mainly PvE, with a few members who also enjoy PvP and WvW.
A couple of the members who play PvP and WvW are willing to teach members who are interested in those game modes. Our guild isn’t world-specific, as most of our members are PvE. Our member who plays WvW the most and is willing to teach is on Ehmry Bay.
We’re a community of friends who do our best to help, support, and encourage each other. And we love to have fun!
Please check out our website at Royal Order of Fun Lunatics to learn more about us. If you’d like to join us, you can apply there as well.
I wish you all the best in finding a good guild home!
Hi derokk!
Royal Order of Fun Lunatics [ROFL] is a small, adult (18+), semi-casual NA guild, with members ranging from new to veteran. We’re mainly PvE, with a few members who also enjoy PvP and WvW.
We’re on Henge of Denravi (for WvW purposes), although our members who play WvW are on different worlds at this time. If that’s something that interests you, you might consider one of their worlds if you decide to join us.
Speaking of which, please feel free to check out our website at Royal Order of Fun Lunatics to learn more about us, and to apply to join us if you wish.
My PvE guild has a no rep required policy for anyone not in leadership. Some of my members have reasons for repping other guilds, and they’ve worked it out with me so that, when I see they aren’t repping, I know they’re doing stuff with their WvW guild, PvP guild, a friend’s guild they’ve been in forever, etc.
However, there are those who never seem to rep. It would be really helpful if prospective members said up front that they’d only be repping my guild for guild events. I could live with that, as long as they actually participated . But joining and then rarely repping, or even participating, without saying why makes me wonder why they even joined in the first place.
It has already cost me one new guild member who left because no one was repping when he was online and no one would talk to him in guild chat.
It’s a really fine line to manage; I don’t want to have a 100% rep guild, but I do want my members to rep as often as possible without feeling pressured to do so.
I think the best thing to do is let the GL know up front that you rep your friend’s guild by default and would only be repping the WvW guild when they’re doing content together. If the GL is okay with that, then you’re good to go. Just do your best to actually participate so that you’re seen as a (somewhat) active member.
Your question piqued my curiosity, so I had to try. I used the Endless Pink Quaggan Tonic and equipped the Bubble Glider. Sadly, the Bubble Glider did not show up. It was just a little pink Quaggan dancing through the air. Cute, but not as cute as a pink Quaggan flying in a bubble.
I’d be happy to help you as well, and I’ll put the word out to my guild in case anyone else wants to lend a hand. We typically use TeamSpeak, but we can hop on Discord if that will help. I’m in NA, Mountain time zone, so I’m just 2 hours behind you. I’ll be on the lookout to see when you want to claim your hall.
Glad your pup is okay!
The cringe is real.
It’s going to be a real eyesore to see all the human female players with this.
Its we Bunny’sura you have to worry about, you will be too jealous
Precisely!
It’s for April’s fool when they turn us all into quaggans.
Ooooo! I hope, I hope, I hope! Squeeeee!
Hi Rio!
Royal Order of Fun Lunatics [ROFL] is a small, adult (18+), semi-casual NA guild. We’re mainly PvE, with a few members who also enjoy PvP and WvW.
We have daily events, including dungeons on Thursday nights. We’re currently doing lower level dungeons and working our way up to Fractals (although some members are already doing those).
Because we’re a small guild, sometimes there are only 3 or 4 members in-game; but all members are welcome and encouraged to participate in our events. We have members ranging from new to veteran, so we’re often helping people do content, like dungeons, which they may not have done previously.
You’re welcome to take a look at our website Royal Order of Fun Lunatics to see if we’re what you’re looking for.
Best wishes in finding a guild home!
i would prefer anything to wings. theyre atrocious attention grabbers that serve no purpose. at least a cape would keep you warm!
lol people keep saying “oh well it cant be done because of charr”. here i have a simple picture for you. just cut out the yellow part and wallah you have a charr friendly cape. design so hard!
Wings do serve a purpose – you can glide with them. I suppose you could glide with a cape, but then we get into the whole ‘superman’ thing, so…no.
Wings also help to define characters. I have a character who is a death angel. She has black wings. I have a ‘heavenly’ angel, and she has white wings. I have a Maleficent-style character, and she and my vampire character have bat wings. I don’t put wings on just any of my characters; it has to make sense to me that they would have them. But I don’t see a reason why any of my characters ‘needs’ a cape.
Also, I retract my earlier statement that capes would be okay if they were different styles and lengths, because as I also said earlier, it would take away from the look of armor.
I had enough of capes in GW1. Seeing everyone running around in pseudo Superman/Batman capes got really old, really fast. Plus, I really think they detract from the aesthetic of all the awesome armors. I don’t really want to see them in GW2, unless there were a variety of styles and lengths, including cloaks.
Noob question: Is a “keep” a specific structure or is it a generic term for the various structures you can capture? I ask because at no point did we capture anything that was called a keep. That might be why I have yet to see a Lord so I may have spent that 90 minutes and never even had a chance of a spoon.
From what I read on the GW2 Wiki, a “keep” is a specific structure, or objective. There’s a list of the various keeps on the Wiki as well. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Keep
