first I am a big fan of ostricheggs and chaithh. So I am happy to see they are world champions now. Both played pistol/pistol in the past now chaithh switched to rifle and ostricheggs to p/s. I love pistol so I am looking for a pistol build for sPvP/tPvP.
My question is: Any chances to see pistol/pistol top builds?

My PoV:
I guess it is not possible to decap with this build because the knockback and magnet and slick shoes are good CCs but not for decap.
It is not possible to beat a condi necro at the same skill level (even if ostrich won a 1on1 vs a terrormancer in the finals)
It takes long to kill an ele and you have a hard time to fight them.
It is strong vs Warrior/Thief/Pewpew Ranger.
You need the shield to survive mesmer, guard, engi spike damage because the elixir S is missing.
Stomp and rezz is hardly possible in team fights.

If you want to learn how do handle engis thats ok, but stop posting this kind of threads. You have only a little idea how it is to play an engi but you post that they are OP and your posting about the necro shows that you never played with an engi vs a good condi necro.
We all know that you hate engis because you post it all over the forum. But please stop trolling.

Face a condi necro and you die in < 15sec. And no offense but you never played soloQ or teamQ in top 1000 so I guess you do not really face good people. Engi has a very hard time vs some classes and good player know how do handle him.
Sure the engi is very strong at the moment, but face a bleeding/survival ranger, any necro, a good ele or a condi warrior and say again that the engi is op.
does someone know the sigil ostricheggs used?
man is was able to kill a condi necro with his condi engi in 1vs1. He really is esports!

The que pop up time is awesome unfortunatelly the quality of the match is not. Give ANet Time they are in BETA with the new Matchmaking system.
They do not have a beta server so they have to test it on the live servers.
I played it solo vs team and still like it. It is fun and something new. New tactics are needed.

I played on EU on primetime. The ranked Q waiting time is awesome. Max 10sec and I got a game. But the teammates or opponents are just random. I played against a friend from my friend list. He and I are Top 200 soloQ player. On this team were 2 player that looked like never played PvP in GW2 before.
On a different game I asked in Chat if someone is going to close…. no answer…. so I wrote I take it. Game starts and we are with 4 people at close. I moved to mid and 3 of them are waiting until it is capped. 1 is going to svanir and wipes. Respawn… wipes again.
Come on. I am not backpack but increase the matchmaking time until you find a good game for us.
I know you are in the BETA right now and it is ok. But you have to work on that or replace it with the old MMR

You guys discuss if ele > engi or engi > ele or guard > necro. But necro >> engi. It is not like ohh a necro is a little bit stronger. It is like the necro kitten s the engi every time.
A player from Top 300 Terrormancer will beat a Top 10 engi in 9 of 10 fights. This matchup is the worst matchup in the game. Even Thief vs Mesmer is not that hard.

To be honest I play in solo Q cele p/p.
The cele amu gives you more healing and you have much more life. Your substain is much better as with rabid because life is better vs condis and this is our weakness.
If you play it correctly it will not be a big difference between your lower armour with more life or more armour with lower life.
I love to play p/p rabid but the problem with this is, that some classes are more or less immune to condis (ranger with x/x/6/6/x, ele with good condi removal, condi necro) and you have a hard time killing them.
It is easier to kill an ele with cele/rifle than with p/x.
Condi necro eats you soul if you play p/p rabid, with rifle cele with sigil of intelligence you have a chance.
You have a very strong damage chain to support your team in team fights and to finish people (knockback, throw wench, Net shot, nades, jump shot). The CC is very good.
On the other hand. The condi pressure with p/p is insane, you have a better chance to kill a thief with condis and a mesmer. If you run nades/toolkit/EG with doom sigil you can kill a bunker guard by yourself in short time. You will never kill him with cele rifle build. But bunker guards are not really a main target.
At the moment cele rifle > p/p.

Played one game vs sizer+collero. They were like storm and thunder. We had no chance.
Played with my engi and 4 thiefs in soloQ. We won the game because the thiefs jumped like mokeys on every target and killed it at no time.
2+ thiefs are not bad if the thiefs are good

let’s guess Wakkey is not playing in the next days because he prepares himself for China and drop out of top 100 because of that. Is it fair not to give him the reward? He played over 3700 games. Won 80% .
Many players have not the time to play on weekend and on Dec 1 and they will drop out of top 100.
This is not fair if someone played for years and only because he has no time playing for 3 days he will get nothing.
It is really the best pvp game after DaoC. At the moment the balance is far better then in DaoC.
I love GW2 and hope it will exists for the next some years.
Nice video but I would like to see a fight vs ele or necro with this build. You kill warrior and Engis on the video and also a mesmer. They have poor condi removal (engi + mesmer)

We have a trait for this. Line: tools trait VI Speedy kits. Equip a kit and you are fast as lightning
I play engi only. I have ~15 games on guardian and all the rest are on engi only. (and yes I played d/d ele by myself but only in hot join to see what they are doing)
But I still in the opinion that an cele engi is fine in 1on1 vs ele. To be honest the engi is able to decap and to contest the point for a very long time vs ele.
You have the huge experience from ~ 80 games in soloQ. Maybe play some more to judge engis on point.

LOL, Everything I said is the truth. Your only hard counter is Necro, Ele vs Engi is pretty even. But there’s no point in continuing this argument with you, saying that engis go even with mesmers it’s a nice joke lol. If you lose to a mes on a point you just got out played hard. Mesmer has no condi removal, just auto attacks from pistol procs IP and mes dies. if you lose to a condi ranger you’re just bad. I know engi is op, and everybody elses knows it too. You can argue all you want, but the truth is engis is OP and has been OP for ages.
- meta staff ele is actually in favour of the ele.
- cant remember the last time i lost an on point fight as DD ele vs a non turret engie. If they dont have crate ready they are 100% dead regardless off the build.
- mesmer should not fight on point…..youre a burst class and not meant to fight on point untill you start your burst rotation.So kill the engi while kiting his dmg -> capture the node -> profit.
Problem is that you want to have AND some of the best burst dmg in the game AND as much sustain as anyone else when fighting on point. You dont seem to get that that would be broken as kitten.

My friend, you are beating a horse that has died and been reanimated a dozen times. At this point, it honestly is just sad to see.
Any change to make the mortar kit usable would be welcome, and there have been suggestions of all shapes and forms. Unfortunately, in two years, it has not hardly been touched. For now, use the supply crate and pray that some beautiful dev out there decides at some point to dust off his engy and realizes RNG is not fun and mortar kill is crap. That’s all we can do.

I would like to know if a dialog between top player and anet exists. If balancing ideas or new game modes/maps are discussed between top players and anet. Does ANet “use” the knowledge of top players?
AP really? You check the AP of someone? Ohh please. Some very good pvp player have several accounts and play pvp only. Collecting AP is for pve
leaderboards are strange. I win some games and go up from 148 to 111. If I lose some games I go from Top 150 to 3xx.
Lets say you play 1000 games and you win 550 and lose 450. Maybe you are at top 200. If you lose now 5-6 game in a row you drop out of top 1000.
The issue is the matchmaking yes. Way too volatile, meaning you can have anyone at any rank( let’s reasonably say that good active players will rotate between #100 and 90%).
However, people shouldn’t leave matchs in my opinion. Both teams are very poor sometimes, and it’s quite easy to come back even from a 150 points gap.
Xerrex had on his steam a comeback game on soloQ from 2xx:499 to 500:499. Some games are to remember. This is the reason I never quit

Nufrael played a FT build in soloQ some time ago. I guess he does not play it anymore.
If you play FT+bombs you should be able to get 20+ might and this could work. I met some time ago an engi in soloQ with FT + rifle and he run at far all the time. Decap was easy for him but he died every time in short time. So I am not sure if this is the best way
