Hey Vee Wee. I tried your build yesterday and it really seems to work well. I replaced Sigil of Leeching with the new Torment sigil to cover my condis even more.
Substain is fine. Damage looks good. I miss the extra burning from time to time, but overall this works well. Thank you for posting your build idea.
Would it help to make the lord invulnerable until all guards are dead?
Or adding a downstate to the lord, so that he has to be stomped, or can be rezzed?

there are many builds that work well. I am currently running a zerker rifle build.
04046 in pvp. I usually get killstreaks of 10+ and die maybe once every other game. Its quite good for zerker amulet+runes of pirate+sigil of fire and air.

They already removed so much of our traits:kit refinement, automated response and Juggernaut from beeing useful. So you can’t tell that they do not touch Engi.
I will buy it (twice 2nd account is played by my wife). I just play sPvP but I love this game.

Same for 2 friends of mine. They started 1 week after the beta Leaderboards and quit after 2 week. We played as a group of 3 and I guess this was the reason why we more or less got always a team of 5 as opponents. We managed to win some games but it was not fun for them so they quit
Tested it yesterday. I see in the battle log the tormant damage always twice. So two lines of tormant damage. Just a display bug or is the damage dealt twice?
other 2 are on distant, hard to reach places often only accessible by skills like jump shot.
And how does the Engi even access these places without using rocket boots or similar himself?

Also, we won that match. And that Engi was not a problem for anyone in my team that i noticed.

And Tha Dankening is the #3 guild in NA at the moment.
Watching Hibas (he deleted this twitch channel) stream he played a lot of games and many times he was forced to play vs a turret engi 1on1 and he prefer to give up the point and rotate to a different one. I remember he explained something like this: wow this engi is so bad but this turrets are killing me I have to go….
So you say that 100 counters exists. But even top player with meta builds are not able to fight the turret engi on point. So do not repeat that this build is bad or easy to counter.
Turret builds are good. You can decap and cap a point vs many classes with this build in 1v1. And this is why so many people QQ about this build.
In soloQ it is very strong because many players have no idea about rotations.
And some people like to kill other classes even if this is not helpful.
I remember a match where a mesmer was fighting vs the turret engi for 6 min and after he killed him he blamed him in chat and could not understand why he was not the hero.

If I die as engi my reserve mines do not disappear. If someone trigger a mine after my respawn I am slow no matter how far I am.

I do not like your build.
Explosive III is more useful using bombs. Carrion is also not my choice. Only once source of burning.

Had yesterday 4 engis in my team and 1 in the other team. On my team 2 engis played for the very first time I guess. GG
Could you please compare how many hours were played before the patch and after? Does the patch has an impact on the pvp community?
I created a mesmer to find out how to counter him. Joined a game without any thief. It was very easy. Even 1 vs 2 are possible because in 1 shatter some targets are so low that panic comes to their eyes. On the next game I kissed the floor because they had 2 thiefs.
Mesmer should be nerfed and buffed

The people are forced now to build teams to have fun in Queue. This is in general good step. But not every player has access to ts3. Some players like to player just 1-2 games and that’s is. It takes to long to build a group to join ts just for 1-2 games.
Please listen to player feedback. Like Blu42 said on his stream. Communication is very important in this game. If you have premades vs solos and they are on nearly the same skill level. The premades will win every time. This is not fun. This idea did not work to put solo and team Q into one system.

the best way to avoid ‘build wars’ would be to hide display whos in enemy team before it starts, so you could just adjust your own setup by picking synergies in your team and counter class stacking. If you hide whos in enemy team, people won’t be able to pick ‘counters’ and ‘build wars’ won’t happen.
I really like this idea, passing it along to the team.
You should think about the grace period for DCs once again. Reconnect with the same char and rejoin the fight should not be a loss.

I can not hear the argument that every class need some weaknesses.
Look at the meta builds. Warrior has 43 condi removals per minute without using sigils on shoutwarrior. This build is absoult playable
Ele has without any change to have a good condition removal 19 per minute. If you go for contional removal you can go up to 45 per minute and still 25 stacks of might and all other stuff.
Condition ranger has 19 + dodge removes poison and blindness (so lets say 25). If you take 3 survival skills you can have 30 condition removals.
All builds are absolut meta builds
Look at the engi. The engi has 10 per minute. (healing turret has a cooldown 15 – 20 and if you place and pick it up it takes too long to have it more than 4 times per minute).
Even if you try to create a condition removal build with only elixirs and you have 26 condition removals per minute. And this build with 5 elixirs is not playable not even in hotjoin.
So I guess a buff to EG would be more than fair.

I also am curious about DoD. Do they have enough time and will to challenge Abjured at the finals?
They should just remove the CC from the rocket turret on overcharge. And then turret engis are fine. They are already beatable in 1vs1 but it is very hard to see the rocket overcarge and once you are in the CC chain you will die.
Remove the knockback from Rocket turret, so turret engis will not chain CC people.
Replace automated response for engis with something useful vs conditions. Not back to the old overpowered trait but now this grandmaster trait is useless. Maybe something like: immune to conditions while in CC (fear for example. So we do not die instant if a necro comes) or immune to condition transfer.
In the current meta engi>warrior. But if you are smart as warrior you get the decap and sometimes the fullcap. Warrior is able to have 21+ stacks of might and with the bow fire field it is not possible to hold the cap for a very long time as an engi.
The new shoutbow build is also very strong vs conditions because you not only remove them you convert them
