we play during sea/euro, the thing is… black gate right now is full during both time slots, and seems like the tier is pretty balanced… would be fine to move there even with such nice enviroment?

The balanaced part is questionable. Because right now our Coverage consist of guilds pulling extreme overtime. There is a time slot in which people can transfer to BG. However, I can’t post that information on the forums we must talk privately

After taking BG’s WP @ SoR BL, we started a 70vs70vs70 fight. Sounds like both BG and SoR enjoyed it. We are thinking about making it into a daily event.

To the ANet dev who follows BG around, we hope you enjoy WvW and come hangout with JQ sometime. I think gem prices is still quite cheap :-p

Going to throw a name out there that is 100% deserved of this title. The guy runs non stop commanding sometimes up to 10 hour shifts. His guild ALWAYS takes our home BL for reset which they know full well will 100% of the time be a full blown 2 v1 and they typically always hold the N of the map.

He never kittenes or complains about anything. He never really gets flustered even when he has an army of pugs or militia on him. The guy is not only a top notch T1 commander but also a really good person and a great leader. There are a TON of good commanders on BG but Malevolent Omen from OnS and his AoI group stand above the rest to me hands down.

The dedication, effort and heart, that him and his guys show to BG is un parallel and we know as a server that we can count on him and his guys when the doodoo hits the fan.
Mal my man, in my eyes you have earned BGs commander of the year and you did it with class every step of the way.

Quite clearly #1 guild goes to OnS/AoI, best guild in NA I’ve seen. I’ve watched them grow up from SoS where to be honest they were quite the bads :P, they transferred with us off SoS as they became the only NA guild/s on the server but still would show up every day to fight even when severely outmatched. Now they are the arguably the best NA guild on BG and the only guild many trust to hold down BG garrison against a prolonged 2v1 during NA, taking this job so that others don’t, sai strong, sai gud, sai powerful – OnS Doge.

OnS which makes up the majority of AoI has some of the most amazing commanders and people like Reyana who was a pillar of the SoS community and is now basically Blackgate if I had to pick two people who make BG, BG it would be Malevolent Omen and Reyana. (Choc ofc also ;P) but you get the picture.

My guild of the year award goes to Choo. For outstanding performance in WvW and GvGs. My toughest Opponent of Season 1 who never ever backs down. Constant pressure and they don’t buckle or get demoralized easy. Props to Choo and their commanders.

@Mal for ONS vs SF GvG, my apologies for not getting back to you guys on this yesterday. I already approved Guild missions for everyone tonight and I have been without interwebs at home for almost 24 hours! When I got home last night I found out a new ATT employee was doing an install for one of my new neighbors. It wouldn’t have been as bad if it was a chick neighbor and was good looking. Unfortunately for me it was a dude my age that looks at people…awkwardly… Making a long story longer, this kid somehow messed up the install and magically disconnected my whole buildings internets. How the hell do you screw that up? Well, I call ATT last night to complain in a professional manner in hopes that I will get service quicker. Unfortunately for me, that employee thought it was a great idea to make me feel like I’m in the wrong for coming home to no service and calling their office to complain and ask for services to be rendered for connectivity. I told her I will C U Next Tuesday and spoke to her manager, which promised me I will be back up and running today. Fortunately for me I work in IT for a major hospital in the area and can pull strings through the corporate side of ATT. Jed +1 for 2 free months of internet

<3 JQ. I love you guys and I don’t care what anyone says despite our coverage and us hitting you at your weak points, you guys keep fighting. You guys used new strategies, pulled crazy hours and fought your hardest and you guys made this match enjoyable.#GolemQuarry

Now to debunk some things about Blackgate.
1. BG helps guilds that wants to transfer to us.
2. BG loves Russians
3. BG is not just a PPT server we have guilds of all kinds here as do JQ and SoR.
4. 2v1
5. BG came to this season with a mission and we weren’t going stop till we succeeded or it was over. WvW is our world versus yours. It’s not my guild versus yours and that’s what we want to win. What happens to Blackgate after the season happens. Guilds could leave, more could come, BG could stop playing to win etc etc. The game is changing yet again and it’s probably going to change each server or guilds focus.

@SF & Jed: I feel like I’ve watched you guys grow and adapt overtime from an enemy stand point. I’ve been fighting you guys since I was on SoS. Always good fights and I’m happy to see you guys are still running strong. I saw you guys GvGed AGG and I’m happy you entered the scene. One of these days(not this week) you should contact me for a GvG. I think a SFvOnS would be awesome.

You must be talking about my guild. It’s ok you can ask me why. I ran because I only had 5 to 6 guild members on my tag the rest militia. I consider Choo really good and with what I had on my tag I couldn’t fight you. I couldn’t get a lot of my guys on the map last night because we had multiple guilds on the map. KnT & ZN had more than me on the map so I relied on them to fight you. I could tell by the way you guys were lurking you were looking for a fight and I tried to give you one a bunch of times.

I think he was talking about the entire BG BL since reset. It’s been rather stale in open field. The only big “are we gonna make it” fights happen in your T3 keeps we’re breaking into. Which are very fun fights, don’t get me wrong, but after that it gets rather boring due to tower/keep turtles and waypointing out instead of turning to fight.

Not directly pointing the finger at ONS. We could tell that KNT and ZN had more numbers than ONS last night.

I understand how that could get boring. Still though, if I’m running from a battle there’s generally a very good reason because I rather fight 90% of the time.

I know that lately, forums have been all about Blackgate accusing Iron running away from fights but what about…

Blackgate groups (40+) running away or porting out during NA prime.

Whenever we’d encounter a BG group between objectives, they’d either rush back into their tower or port out. Even when we didn’t have a fatty zerg.

The only times they’d engage us is whenever we’re making a push for an objective or when their entire map zone is present.

I understand that it’s a “tactical retreat” and that we may have a fatty zerg at times(usually 35 people), but why keep the pressure on one guild?

What I’m trying to say is, everyone’s guilty of running away or avoiding fights at some point in time. Don’t grind on one guild.

(Notice how I haven’t mentioned a BG guild? Blackgate Borderlands. NA prime. You know who you are.)

@ IRON @ Choo: Great fights out there so far. My guild is a hybrid guild so we not only play for fights but we play for PPT too. So a lot of the times depending on the commander on the map, we could either fight you a lot open field or just play the PPT game. Either way I’ve been having a blast its not often I get to fight IRON.

Why are you all kittening about a 2v1? It happens every match. BG gets 2v1ed quite a bit, and we deal with it. Quit acting like a 2v1 is unfair, playing other servers against each other is normal in any kind of 1v1v1 free for all, whether it be sports or war.

Why do people lie? Since day 1 of leagues BG has never been 2v1, quite the contrary, he always 2v1 with the other server, which is making them win this week and get JQ to 2nd place, making them winners of this league.

About the IRON blob + FEAR blob + WIC blob, dude, learn to count, when we started it was IRON 30-32 + some randoms (never had a queue to that bdl btw) and by the end when FEAR blob (30ish) came into play, there was 3 IRON left, so congrats, you just earned yourself an invitation to go back to 2nd grade. Cut the excuses, just go to the battlefield and die…

I was in Hills BG BL last night an I must say, while the double team was annoying I have never taken part in such a feast of loot bags. I was there from 7pm EST to around 12am and must have raked in over 300+ bags, I did not even have to chase down groups the bags just came to us, yes we did wipe OnS a few times near NE camp but for the most part the slaughter took place in Hills. I give credit to BG and JQ for persistence, but was it really worth it? And was that fun for you? I logged before it fell and am curious how long it lasted.

Yes it was worth it. Not only did you get lots of bags but we did too. By the end of the night we were able to break that waypoint. The same one that hasn’t been broken all match up. It went on till 3am EST.

Epic Defense by SoR on BG BL last night inside Hills. Props to RISE DIE and HeL. You guys stalled the double very effectively however, BG and JQ we’re persistent in flipping that waypoint last night.

Great battles on BG BL last night. RISE/FEAR/LUN & SF. Grrrrr! SF I knew I shouldn’t have allowed you to get bay back. Right away, you guys invoked the 2v1. I don’t think SoR was too happy about that hills assault.

That garrison fight was so long. I don’t know how many times you bannered. It turned in to us camping the portals for warriors and trying to lock them down before they could get to the lord.
