“Rytlock Brimstone: (growl) I don’t have time for this. Look, history is full of legendary figures. Heroes and villains, idols and monsters. Occasionally suicidal people who don’t know how to aggro properly.”
Kidding. I miss Togo.
Still waiting for “disable all back items” button…
you missed the mark Anet!
Now THAT, I would have bought.
soon™
Also, if like someone above compares outfits to armour sets, then HoT gave us six armour sets, not two. All weights are different models, so there.
I really wish they would make some of the other HoM skins better though.
Agree, I was thinking about it lately. Nowadays on BL skins, designers are hell bent to put environmental maps to make things shiny, even if this effect disappears in darker areas, leaving the skins ugly.
Some of the old skins could benefit from adding a little bit more detail and shine here and there, even the basic ones. HoM skins especially, since they already are nicely detailed, but seem dull like they haven’t got any normal or specular maps on them
Thus we should continue to ask for former town clothes, now tonics, to be turned to some sort of outfits.
Female, human (ele).
New outfit has a gap in the middle of the torso for this body type:
Year later:
It’s still here.
I definitely want to, still got some titles to get, but after the game went fully automatic, I started getting lags and terrible rubberbands. It’s unplayable
afair, there’s two dreadlock hairdos for norn and none for human women.
I personally think the devs just don’t like the way these forums (barely) work, so they post on Reddit because they just like Reddit better.
Pity that. I don’t like how Reddit works.
I live in Poland so I can’t buy digital music from Amazon. Is there any other site like bandcamp or anywhere so I can buy it?
…game launcher working like it was before HoT update.
It is, and it still has kitten on the midsection for some human female chars.
Ok, forum censorship, you win. I mean a GAP on the midsection.

Still waiting for the backpacks off switch.
Hi guys. Just in case someone is still working on the armour to put it on their rev, before there’s a fix to this: if you unlock it with another char, do not open the reward chest, and it you do, do not click the piece. If you still don’t have it in your inventory, re-log and open the chest on the character you want.
There’s also a hammer skin, 0-0 dmg. At more reasonable price even. I need this staff O_O
By all means I don’t intend to spread wrong information, just that Robert’s name is in the tags for some of the extracted tracks, even in those which also appear on the OST, while Jeremy’s appear in others. Maybe simply Robert worked on the files in some way (as in implementing them, in the GW credits he appears under “Omni Interactive Audio” team https://www.linkedin.com/company/omni-audio-was-omni-interactive-audio- ), we would need confirmation from the sound team, but since the audio forums were closed…
Also, here’s a link to the old GW forums where this was discussed http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/post-what-you-found-in-t10246521.html?p=3586159&highlight=Ridihalgh

I’ve found another track without title in Faction !
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LA8GKXPeqXQ
It’s played a lot of time but it’s not even in the faction soundtrack !
Aw yea, this one. Back in the days, when GW dat browser worked, I extracted it from the package. The metadata in it say, the author of the track is Robert Ridihalgh. If that helps in anything. It has no title, just the filename GWch2_urban_01. This track was
played in Kaineng city and around it.

Birthday dyes were a great gift, got some colours I’d be never able to purchase. Imperial Red and Rosewood give some interesting effect on the tabard of the t3 human set – no other dye brightens that pattern while darkening the rest of the cloth.
Royal Ascalonian torch at night, anyone? All races, classes etc.
During the day, the torch burns normally, like all other torches in the game it acts a source of light for the player. During the night it’s useless
If I knew, I wouldn’t be working for that one, heh…
For those who not really get what I’m talking about is why skirt for human female is made like the one sketched on left side, instead like this on the right side. Forgive me my bad skills and sloppy use of 3d assets.
And no, clipping is not the issue. Style is not the issue. With proper rigging, some clipping is mostly avoidable, some is still not, no matter what. Although I want to also say that maybe this just doesn’t suit me, maybe it couldn’t be done for some reason, maybe it’s just the design, thus I’m keeping my gems for something else in the future.
Problem is, this looks the same way like monk’s outfit skirt was treated “against clipping”, by making the mesh huge and lampshade-ish, for lack of better word.
1k Luxon/Kurzick sets of all GW classes…
Nice design… but really not a fan of how ANet insists on making skirts super flared out at the hips like tents / balloons / bells.
I’d say that’s because it would clip horribly with the running animation if skirts/dresses where tighter and straighter below the hips.
It’s totally possible to make snugly and properly bending skirt in 3d. Look at the female student/country set. But no, they prefer lamp shades.
The front of the dress on human girls is just… No. Why does it stick out like this, why is this even a thing.
(edited by Marge.4035)
I’d like our feet back. And the original skirt shape too.
Yeah, I happened to pick the body type on which every skirt looks like a balloon, so the first version of the monk outfit was a nice change. But now everything looks equally broken, so it’s all right, yes?
I do not want a refund. I want it to look right, again. There are too many bubble-butt, cape-butt, and bells.
Please fix them, please!
Please!
Well, this, basically. I’m willing to wait, and see and probably be disappointed.
I totally understand why people are asking for refunds.
As someone who has some form of 3d modelling experience, I can say it doesn’t seem as if it should be that hard.
/snip
Now I don’t know what modelling program they use, but this seems to be well within reason.
Then why not just revert to the old method of drawing hair on the scalp texture, like we had few years ago? I know it’s not quite the same, but it made a difference.
I don’t like this idea of fixing clipping issues. I wonder if the size increase was really needed, wouldn’t re-rigging the skirts around the legs be enough?
Then again, not sure if there was a weighting corrected on this one, or just the size of the mesh increased, and then the bone scaling did its thing. I can just guess, but I still don’t like the result. Sure there’s no clipping now… cuz characters wear totally oversized skirts that stretch and bend far too… um, far.
How do I say it while not sounding like a whiner? :/
I’ve seen a “local” that looks just like him in the Western Ward, in the pub hidden in a cave. Haven’t hear if he has anything to say, so can’t confirm if that’s the same norn. They change over time/relog.
(edited by Marge.4035)
Do people even scroll to the end of the body selection? Both genders have a very “average” body type though the male could do without the defined abs on a body that doesn’t look like it belongs to a guy who does a hundred crunches a night.
You’re right. These are the most proportional looking IMO, but they don’t get used much because of how the armour scales on them. Boots, skirts and shoulder pads come out too huge, which accentuates smaller chest and looks simply weird, not mentioning the clipping.
I’m using these two types on all four of my female characters. The one on the left has smaller chest and breasts, both have variants without the muscled normal map. They look fairly well clothed, though the left tends to have gigantic boots and balloon skirts (it’s a ranger and it shows with medium armour). I do not recommend enlarging heads with those too much, because it later looks too huge with some outfits/armour. Try to keep the size within 8 and half heads canon (so called heroic).
I tried other, thinner ones, but the limbs while wearing an armour are just tragically tiny. I’m no expert, but I think the scaling was made a bit too carelessly and should be addressed.

Why would you even take away legacy skins from the gem store? What the heck?
Not every single art asset is going to appeal to every single person in the game. Luckily, there are an abundance of black lion sets to choose from.
Except that I don’t like any of them
I wonder if it’s gonna be straining for my right hand… Slight elbow nerve root damage, picked guard and ele as mains since they were less demanding on mouse control.
Way overpriced considering there’s not even a single sword/mace/scepter skin that would match nicely.
Had a GW fan too, they were growing in dust since my casters were using staves only, except for necro maybe… But necro had a nice matching BMP undead set.

I’m turning 33 this year, been playing GW since Factions. Hi.
I agree; it would be nice if they could put the town clothes in as a free outfit for everyone instead of a tonic.
This, have my +1
This isn’t even Anise’s outfit. The skirt is different and there’s no mantle.
It’s not, because it’s the earlier version of what Anise was supposed to wear, and was redone later. The outfit as it is, existed from the very beginning as “Anise’s Coat” and was used in the mesmer presentation video, look it up on the class section. We were asking for it since forever.
And I’m happy we can finally get it. It was a very long wait.
So, now, another year of waiting to see if we will finally get something looking like it would fit an elonian character?
I am dissapoint. Now even asura can look more elonian than actual elonians…
Glad I could help somehow.
In the meantime, two remaining designers read this, and cry “why hating on us, we’re doing all we can, everybody else went doing the cool expansion stuff!”
;]
Lighting in menus is always at most favourable settings, it differs greatly from the actual world.
In my case, my weapon’s look depends on the “Textures”, so I always keep it at max. For other peoples’ characters, and NPCs, there’s “High-Res Characters Textures” setting, but if you say you have your settings at maximum, then I’m not sure what may be the issue.
Fact: well, it’s not a big problem to split something like this into separate meshes, really. But there’s a slight difference between raw splitting and splitting at loose parts, just btw.
This is not settings change between two first images, just my textures loading up slow as hell. However, in instances like home or HoM, for some reason, they sometimes don’t load up at all. I have a dual core, so I can’t check changes with “high-res character textures” option.

They almost stopped making armor sets and have been rolling out only outfits for a good while now.
No they didn’t. See my above post, besides, where did those glorious, carapace, hellfire and radiant pieces come from lately?
none of which are ingame, and may ever be in game. Many things data mined never see the light of day. regardless, its looking like outfits are growing at a faster rate than armor skins, and they have greater variation.
I don’t see them dumping stuff that looks practically finished, and if you follow shaman’s feeds, he adds things like “they added the energy glow to the ley line armor in the latest patch”, from time to time.

Okay, now that I’m back from work, there, maybe this will clear up, not sure why unclear, things:
Mined FULL ARMOR SETS from linked post:
Leyline light and med. There is heavy as well, but he didn’t do a full render.
http://imgur.com/a/qHsQP
http://imgur.com/a/sxno0
“Guild” armors, we suppose, due to the tabards, all weights:
http://imgur.com/a/WMnIp – so 3 sets total
Revenant armor, only heavy:
http://imgur.com/a/JXO3W
Some armor, in two versions, basic and “deluxe”:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OIolE19TZeo – light
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IqkcBy8JpSI – med
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtf6OlVOA7U – heavy, so there’s 6 sets.

Okay, it seems like the quality of texture was corrected BUT!
1. If you teleport to another location with the mini out, the quality will decrease randomly and it takes a while for the better textures to load. Hide/show the mini will fix immediately, but it’s annoying to do.
2. In HoM and home instances, the better textures don’t load up at all, switching on/off is required.
3. There’s still something odd about red panda’s eyes, it’s like they’re hollow.
(edited by Marge.4035)
Please read whole shaman’s post I linked.
They are there, you just need to wait.
