I’ve still yet to see someone wearing it without the helmet. O_o
Seen a few, it looks like your head is sticking out from a lava puddle.
I agree there is something off on the mini quality.
Can’t point exactly what it is.
It has only diffuse maps (maaaybe normals too), and even those are kinda low resolution.
It is just a reskin of the Rockfur Raccoon, is it not?
Pretty sure that Rocky does the whole sit up and sniff thing that is shown in the dulfy vid.
Edit:dat kitten filter
I only had it out for a couple of minutes (and then the game kicked me for maintenance reasons) and while it does have the same stand and sniff animation, I also saw a sit animation that I don’t remember seeing the raccoon do.
Yep, it’s a raccoon reskin, with minor mesh modifications. Wish it had better quality textures.
I still bought it thou <.<
>.>
I know I post it in every thread about hats, before the first Halloween event, our characters’ scalp textures were different, they had hair drawn on them, but for some reason, after the Halloween patch hit, it was changed to the bald one for everyone.
In GW1 things like a top hat or ravenheart’s witchwear hat had additional colorable hair mesh (speaking of female characters), which just looked like your toon pinned their hair in a bun to fit under the hat.
Why not do that again, it’s beyond me.

We already have jiggle physics applied to metal armours…
Im just gonna leave this here…i prefer the GW2 charr stance much more over the first one. its much more natural for an animal like beast race to walk like that when they walk on all 4s…
Now, i have no problems with a toggle…but you have to think..
They would have to make another entire race worth of armor. Why do i say that? because they have to refit all the armor onto the GW1 charr bodies(Even if they just copy paste. they have to rescale all the existing stuff), and that id say is the big killer.
The armour wouldn’t have to be modified at all. In the first place, it’s created over a t-posed character. By default, just about any race is posed like this: http://i.imgur.com/Iv9PEUC.jpg No need to copy paste anything.
Adding a straight pose would require recording new animations, eventually rigging fixes.
Standing upright is simply too studly not to add. Was hoping you could choose between the types during char creation back before beta started.
I hoped for that too back in the days actually.
^ Soon? 700 gems probably?
Issue: character art/face animations/face rigging
Race/class: Charr/female/specific face (standard)/class probably irrelevant, but engineer.
Description: during animations, mostly emotes, my character’s left fang, sometimes right one, pops out of the jaw, like on attached screenshots. I haven’t noticed this issue much during standard animations (idle: during looking around, tusk pops out while turning far left/battle: didn’t noticed), but it’s visible during cutscenes while talking, so I guess it’s tied to advanced face animations. Left side is more affected than right.
Additional info: Character has been recently remade with the makeover kit. Character’s body build is the most thin one.
Screenshots below.

So you don’t see how bald your character looks while wearing a hat. That’s my guess, anyway.
Probably this. If only they were studly enough designers to add simple default hair of your char’s color or something, if they don’t wanna tailor each style.
Can the game actually give a different hair color with each hat? Would that work with Sylvari or Charr? How about people that actually have bald characters?
I suspect it’s not as easy as it looks or they would have done so.
Different scalp textures for different hairstyles. It’s possible, we even had that once.
As it was with the winter, jungle and few other outfits, it usually took about two months from finding them in the game files to their actual release.
Pretty sure somebody already made something like this before, but oh well. I’m missing my dapper tuxedo.
You look a little like Zatanna (minus the hair)
I Approve
Haha, thanks! Yeah, not exactly the same, but I miss the times the scalp textures had hair drawn on them.

Patch, close launcher, replace the files into the bin folder again, modify your game shortcut and add these arguments with your actual email and password:
-autologin -nopatchui -email example@exampleemail.com -password examplepasswordTemporary workaround until it gets sorted out so the launcher doesn’t break with non-GW2 files in the bin folder.
I use SMAA injector only to replace the blurry ingame anti-aliasing option. Unfortunately this method doesn’t work for me
Another way to log into the game with gemfx/sweetfx on bin is to click on the word “initializing” when youre stuck on that screen.
This method DOES though… Weird.

Zerk vs Knight’s sets
Carapace armour leggings.
Sylvari/Norn/Human females.
Dear ANet. Please consider upping the quality of the female Carapace leggings textures. We can’t even see how the colours are supposed to blend on the upper part of the butterfly pattern.
Thanks.
I used to roam around Silvermoon a lot just because of this song. Then Cata came and I fell in love with Call of The Elements. I have both on my custom soundtrack. Among Fallout 3 and Neverwinter and many other songs from different games, heh.
Video game music ftw.

^ the thing we like something doesn’t mean we can’t be critical about it.
+1 To toggleable shoulderpieces. Sometimes things just look more elegant without the excess mass.
What like to see the GW1 Commando outfit in gem store http://img10.hostingpics.net/pics/462159gw002.jpg

By the six, yes! Let’s make this a thing!
It’s how the game interprets transparency in menus vs game instances. I’ve yet to see a screenshot from a player whose ingame hairstyle looks the same as in the character creation.

Kitty with a funny hat and nice proportions.
While we do not know when this will be, there will be some new ones. I remember this one Zephyrite(sp!) having this https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/archive/human/New-hairstyles-in-the-game/first#post2394595 high bun adorned with flowers, and lately, the black wings gemstore banner had a picture of a lady sporting the same hairstyle. Usually those banners are overpainted renders.
Well, this was more than a year ago… But they are there somewhere o_o
Please keep making more outfits. They’re awesome. Armors would be nice too, though. Thank you!
Remember that there are armour sets datamined, just waiting for polishing up and release.
:)
I for one will be glad when I will finally be able to wear this on my mesmer after years of waiting. Not too fussed about it not being a set of armor – the outfit is perfect as it is.
I’m with you. My ele will wear it, my guard will wear it, and my ranger too. I like outfits in this regard.
No background stories, really, I just suck at writing.
Reported first issue earlier here, it was present since the outfit was out. The second one I THINK I reported two years ago, but I can’t remember if it was that armour or some other starter set – but from what you’re saying, bug’s still present.
I remember Farewell To Gaile GW party like it was yesterday. It’s kinda unreal.
Please continue to be awesome, Gaile! Rrbit.
Joining the happy crowd of carapace armour owners.
He’s in the fort and Almorra, Doern and some more NPCs are still sure we are fighting Zhaitan even if you finish the PS.
This is my 3rd Guardian (and 15th character), Casca Griffithbane.
I see what you did there. She caught my eye, not just because of the name.
I maybe mentioned earlier, I have two guardians. Asura is my main, human was made to test stuff, but I made her too close to my GW1 paragon (thus the weird yellow eyes I wouldn’t normally pick) and ended up playing both a lot. I gave my best to make her look elonian, but I’m not satisfied how this face preset morphs. I can’t imagine changing it for another one, though.
As someone who doesn’t like mixed sets, I can’t wait to complete the carapace armour. It’s a current favourite. I tend to dye my sets every chance I got, this is gonna be so much fun.
Female, human (ele).
New outfit has a gap in the middle of the torso for this body type:
(edited by Marge.4035)
At least the greatsword-swirling-forearm was fixed… If that’s of any consolation.
did a makeover for my guardian….again. pretty happy with how it turned out. did more mix and matching this time.
I love it. I wish I could make the same setup on my female char, but the shoulderpiece becomes huge and floating over my toon’s arms, and the chestpiece becomes boobcups, totally distorting those beautiful ornaments.
awww. Thanks Marge!
and…yea…you are right…the ac shoulders on charr is quite large LOL. the chestpiece looks ok tho
Sorry, I didn’t make myself clear

Found this old Factions OST.

Nostalgia.Maybe…if we (Arena Net) doesn’t want to go to Cantha, maybe Cantha should come to Tyria. Launch an invasion. And player have to chose their side.
Thanks to you I found the login screen roll – I so missed that! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMPX8q3zaVs
I’m just gonna post this, because I’m still wondering who built this structure, and what’s the deal with skritt watching a corpse.
Edit: also, confetti.
(edited by Marge.4035)
You’re welcome
I may be wrong (I do not frequent WvWvW) but I’m pretty sure all or most of the battle themes are on the EOTN soundtrack, those that are there for sure are:
The Scrying Pool
March Through Norrhart
Kathandrax
Claiming Bathazar’s Favor
Iron Footfalls
A Storm Is Comming (Battledepths)
The Great Bear’s Roar
Rise Of The Destroyers
All of them should be on y2b, so give them a search and see if you can recognize them. Mind that some tracks, like Rise of the Destroyers are constructed differently, and only some parts are used for battle themes, so make sure to hear them whole.
There are also Nightfall battle themes, but then again, I don’t know if and which are actually used in GW2.
Gathering Storm
Pride Of The Centaurs (pretty sure not used in GW2)
Sunspear Assault
Corsair Armada
Invasion Of Vabbi
Into The Breach
Desperate Flight
The Cries Of Elona
There’s also this: http://youtu.be/iG2JMxIPNyA
Three tracks I extracted from the client long time ago. Two from Nightfall, one from Togo’s Story. Not sure if I can upload them at all, so I’d like to ask a mod to tell me if I should remove them.
Long time ago, before the first Halloween in GW2, the scalp texture that was used with the top hat HAD hair drawn on it. After the event patch they used the bald texture. Why, I have no idea. That was same for other races as well, not just human, I have a screenie of my asura, but it would take a while to look for it, but if anyone wants, I can. It looked weird on asura females, since the top hat on them is a size of an apple, but making it look well would just take a little bit of redrawing. Or just let them wear the male version.

In the story mission Hidden Arcana, at the boss fight (were you meet up with Majory and Kasmeer) one of the Vortex Crystals spawned inside the wall, making it impossible to kill the boss.
The same thing happened to me and 2 friends Thursday evening CST (11/13).
Encountered this just now. Will wait till it gets fixed. Maybe. I was one crystal away from finishing and it just HAD to spawn there.
Race: Human
Sex: Female
Class: AnyThere is a “black spot” on the characters’ mouth on the character select screen (see screenshots). Only appears when selecting the face from page 2 (lower-left corner) during character creation.
This is actually their own teeth poking through the mouth. In character selection screen, since the first Queen’s Jubilee, all the characters faces are somewhat distorted. I made a topic about it, and I can’t believe I’m the only one to see this.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Characters-portraits-deformed-since-Jubilee
This particular face preset also has the worst face animations, compared to others, just by the way.

Ornate Tailor’s Backpack [&AgHI9QAA]
Race/class/gender: any
The chain attached to the backpack has the weights all wrong.
Figgered nobody does this, so thanks for fixing this one!
Probably not for another few years. I think you’re safe if you’re trying to grind out r4 KoaBD.
Maybe I could it if wasn’t for the terrible lags and rubberbanding for me since the game went automatic.
:(
So my ears did not deceive me! I love that Ogden was given a role in LS, meeting him again was a dream coming true. The spoken dialogue was also great, hope we see and hear more of that.
Thanks for the answer Bobby!
Is it Fred Tatasciore again? I didn’t recorded the cinematics yesterday, and I never played as Priory, so it’s my first encounter with him since GW1. If someone could confirm, I’d be there in the corner, “nostalgiaing”.
Got past the Light facet, touched the crystal thingy. Teleported to domain of Darkness, lagged there so bad I got rubberbanded back to the chamber, but the crystal thingy doesn’t work anymore.
Fun, fun.
that_shaman found these after latest patch and rendered those images. He claims those to be outfits and I believe him since he probably knows the tree structure of the archives already.
Yea, this happens to all human girls using gs either as a weapon or conjured fiery gs. It’s a bone parenting issue I think and if it is, it should be fairly easy to fix.
Doesn’t happen to sylvari, never seen a norn complain.
Considering how are human female idles treated lately, they will soon be just standing there in T-pose.
