To be quite honest, Season 2 has bring some good unique new enemey models, such as:

- Trasher
- Terragriff
- Beetles
- DustMites
- Tendrils
- The dragon we can see on episode 9(?)

And I’m sure that had been more I can’t remember right now.

I understand your point Astral, But then isn’t a question of the cap be the problem, and yes the Anet way to think. As I said, if it get to a point where it need, lets say, 5 million of luck, to increase from 350% to 351%, it really don’t affect anything around. 1% increase into a drop rate of 0,01%, is just a ridiculous low value. But still, it would be a use for the excess of essence of luck.

At all, I really think that it should’t exist a cap. Neither Anet should “Punish” the entire game decreasing drop rates.

I kinda don’t see why there is a cap on the MF at all. Just make it no capped at all, but after 300 it need the double ammount of luck from the previously up %. No big issues, no one will likely waste 3kk in gold for increase up the MF for ridiculous ammount if it costs too much after some point.

Not sure if it was on patch notes, But i believe not everyone noticed this, but now every token merchant (Bandit crests, geodes, festival tokens, etc..) don’t read only the ammount of tokens you have on ur character inventory. They also read what is in your acc bank and you can spend it even if you don’t have the item on your actual character.

Thats a sweet addition for us that play with various alts, since now I can just save all the tokens on bank and play free with the character I like more at the time.

New Matchmaking is bad

Hi, Here is my general feedback and overview of the new “Matchmaking” system.

Within the last few weeks of experience into the new matchmaking, I’ve reached to the point to say that there is more bad points than good ones.

First of all, merge team battles against solo queue players wasn’t a good idea. If you had played team and solo queue before new matchmaking system, you probably know that the “Level” of the battles were a lot different. Merging those into a same pool, now makes even more unbalanced battles.

I’ve been playing and experiencing even far more unbalanced battles on ranked arena, why does we still have players dragon ranked, going on against players deer-ranked? Now I know that the “Pvp rank” doesn’t mean how good a player is, but need to agree that a dragon player is surely far more experienced than a deer one.

From what I could experience so far with this new matchmaking sytem, my awnser is no. It isn’t good.

On a Opinion on how things can be a little better, I would say to divide solo queue and team queue once again. That, would be a good start.

*PS: The matchmaking queue is still bugged, I’ve experienced that sometimes you are queued, and when match accept pop-up, you can sometimes click on accept it, but still you get “Kicked”, with a message saying : “You have been removed from matchmaking, and need to queue again”. Asked around in some of the ocasions, and got a lot of people saying that this happens to then as well.

Just on a final quote, you guys are just judging me without understanding what I really was saying on topic. As I said, there’s a lot of factors and I’m know with that. The ones “Unexperienced” that I’m talking about, is the ones that I Actually SEE the assortment of gameplay. People running on double to a blank point, dying too easy on a 2×2 battle (Even while I res then up with my elixir r), and this assortment of things.

I ain’t here to say that I’m just the best. I’m here to say that those things occur on the game, too often for my taste on a separate note.

And yes, about on what was my question, it was towards the ladder. I really think that it should have more personnal values to be calculated on the ladder rank, no reason to merge solo queue qith team queue, if only the team queue have much larger chances to work up on the ladder system.

Sorry, But isn’t only about the points. Most of the time, when comes to a 2×2 matches, I res up my partner (Since most of times he is gotten down first), and then he die again, transforming it into a 2×1. Of course, aren’t “Everyone”, and have a great numer of factors to say, but I’m only refering to the ones that get down too easy, or zerg on a point that have no one else.

Still, Points are awarded due to kills, res-up partners, points captured and points defended, so it is yes a great assortment to detemine individual overalll contribuition.

And u didn’t awnsered my question.

PS: If u gonna ask me, I’m a enginneer main on pvp.

As title says.

Just because I’m stuck getting worst, and worst team partners, and keep being the top scorer (Likely 3-4 x the ammount of the 2nd man on mah team) but due to some unexperienced partner, I’m having more losses than wins.

I’m a average solo player, so my option for ranked is solo queue, but the matchmaking keep putting me against premade teams. So, isn’t exaclty “My fault” that I have more losses than wins, I would realy love that the ladder system calculated over player general performance than overall team.

I ain’t even up with the amount of time ahead or behind other players in general. Is the development philosofy that bother me more. As I said before, it has already happened in past, and now they do this again. Let me put the example of why this is bad:

I get back from job excited to log in my home and see the new daily log in system, and how does that works, the overall rewards, etc.. But then it is a slap on your face when you see ppl talking about it and you cant see, because some ppl had acess to it already, and some had not.

As I said, is a minor issue, but that really put me a little down with the content.

@Teon, you should really really read more careful my post. It is just my critique on how this sytem got putted in. It happened before as GOSU mentioned, so it should be had think better this way.

No one is talking non-sense about hate and uninstall. You are being very agressive, please, pay a little more attention on what is really going on.

You are misinformated. The ppl who did not logged into the game byt the reset at 16/12 until the patch, got their first “Log in reward” today, one day ahead of us that was logged by after reset.

Yes, because those that did log in between yesterday’s reset and the patch were able to do today’s daily and obtain the reward.

giving those players the login reward as well would mean they’d get today’s reward twice.

you chose not to do today’s daily before the patch so you don’t get the reward for it. that’s the fairest way to handle it.

U must be really uniformated to come here say o my face “U choose” not do the daily. How come you to know it was a choice of me?. Well, and if if u think that this was the fairist way to deal with, let me point you how I (As a indie game designer) would solve the problem: Add a check on code if u had made the 16/12 daily. If yes, Don’t get log-in reward. If not, you get.

And yes, it is sample as that to do.

As I said in my post, I know it is not such a big issue for some ppl. But for some others it is. And since this is made of a whole bunch ofplayers, it seens extremely unrespectful divide the players is such a unfair metric.

I’ve logged yesterday at 16:30 Pm, No I haven’t made dailies. Still, now I’ll receive my first log-in reward one day delayed, so basically I can’t achieve the daily laurel from before the patch, and neither I get my first log in reward as just patched.

You logged in and didn’t do your daily, that’s why you didn’t get the reward.

Hi Anet.

This can be just a little thing for most of the ppl, but as a loyal player ever since the betas, I found extremely unrespectful the roll out on who get the 1st daily log-in reward based on last time logged in.

I ain’t talking aobut the daily achievment, I’m talking about the log-ing system. The confusing part is this one:

“Finally, in a release coming early next year, we will merge the existing daily and monthly achievement point caps into one pool.”. SO I was thinking if the new “monthly log ing” was coming together now, or on the later patch.

Clarification on this post :The Ascended trinket only show up on laurel vendor, once you have already got it once trough the achievments. Its the same with the Dungeon Ascended trinkets, its made this way, so if you want to get more after you got it once, you have a more fair choice.

I’ve been playing silverwastes today, and noticed that in some places (More frequently into pacman labirinth) there’s now a waterpool steps animation on character moving.

Don’t know if this is a bug, or living world intervention on the area, but it is really a big big problem. It cause a lot of lag, and while being on the labirinth, any lag is deadly.

Can you guys remove this animation? Thank you.

Could you guys remove the bandit keys/bandit crests from the silky sand table loot? Those 2 things are impressively easy to get, in other hand, geodes and lost keys for buried chests are a really hard task to get.

So, please, can you make those 2 things separatadely? I’m farming DRY TOP, not SILVERWASTES, it is really annoying that I keep getting more and more crests and bandit keys, instead of my geodes and lost keys.

I’m a returning player, (Returned due to festival), and I find myself very sad about this update.

I’m gonna say here why this new system don’t works:

-Situation 1: I have 10 or another random number of gems at my wallet. In before, I could get the exact ammount of gems I want to fill the final ammount I need. Now, I have this 10 or x number of gems obsolete.

-Situation 2: I just want (Or need) to buy a quick conveinence, such as bank express, or even one of those new gem store candys. With this system, it blocks this option for me. Because I’ll need to buy a full stack of gems, even if I don’t want to. (And I’m talking about both transactions, gold and real money).

So, Its very sad for me, a returning player, have this immense impact (Again) in another system that worked just as fine, and now is locked into a way that is not a universal design system. And sorry gray, I’m also a game designer, as a hobby, and a professional designer as a job and I need to say – What you guys are doing is a immense disrespect to players. Veterans, or news, don’t exist differences – Both are your players.

You want a suggestion? Here’s mine : let this new system the way it is, but also add a option in lower part of the page that allow the player to buy into variable ammount too. If you really come here saying that this is not possible, then is just left for me to agree that this is a simple tatic of anet to make people spend more into gems.

It should not be a gem required item.

The item should be in the game.

You do know that you could just obtain the gold in the game, then convert it to gems instead; right? There’s no difference between earning gold to buy an item from an NPC and earning gold to convert to gems to buy an item from the gem store.

Since gem cost is very floating thing, his arguments isn’t that unvalid. But still, its not a in-game thing. Its just a convenince (As much as boosters are), so it just fits perfect in gem store.

Upgrade extractor isn’t there for runes. Its there for high-end agony infusions (Like +10, +15..). Still, I don’t find it worth.

EDIT: Also, hops five, six, and seven are particularly egrigious. I think that might be where most of your problems are coming from. Wonder what “embratel” is…

Tbh, no. I use a w764bit, but a virus destroyed my cmd.exe, and then my only avaiable option was use the cmd.exe of xp. . My computer is a genreal gamer machine, not so bad, with i5 and a 512 bits geforce2gb, quadcore 2,9ghz. Can’t talk about my internet connection tough, but it just run in full setting Games like Eso/Tera, so wasn’t to be having issues with gw2, since gw2 is softer than eso for example.

Anyone else having hard problems with high ping/latency since patch, in special in the course of this week?

The game is just unplayable for me, the panel of settings show my fps at 150, and the overall delay of everything around of me reachs 5-6second, or even worse – sometimes 30-40s.

Tried tunnelling connection, and also didn’t worked. Whats up? Do I need to wait a anet fix, or do I need to fix my connection? Don’t think its the case, I play other mmos and don’t have any f those issues. Gw2 is the only one.

Just noticed that now the usual soulbound runes (I.E. rune of golemancer, or baelfire) are not acc bound. Yey!, I was getting tired of making souldbound runes on forge.

Enlighted : Feedback of players is what makes a game fit inplayers taste. What youa re saying is to us NOT talk about what we dislike, so anet just keep making what they want without care what plkaers want? You know, this will comes to a point where no ones will come to play the game (Also, no one making paid process as indicating the game to other ppl to buy, or buying gems). I as myself have made a lot of feedbacks talking about things I liked in the game, but its not the pretty words that makes the you become better, its the critiques. As a designer, Game Designer and a screenwriter, I’ve received several and several heavy critiques on works that I liked a lot, and did not received a single good word about it. It just made me remake and being better. Your sense of critiques are a bad thing, don’t fits in the real/professional wrold, so, or you are just a casual player that don’t work with this sort of stuff (And I don’t care if you are), or you are a child that will yet have to taste about what I’m talking.

Blude, I recognize your opinion about SAB, but you have to agree with me that with all the ammount of ppl that like that content , is just a shot on their feets ignore it. A LOT of people hate/dislike living story, but they aren’t going to stop it because the people that dislike or think it don’t fits into the game, so its very unfair of your part comes says that a content a lot of ppl really love should’t ever got back because YOU think it don’t fits into the game .

In a end post, I want to say that this isn’t about SAB itself, I’m using SAB as a target to the general anet words and makings recently. They are trying new sort of stuff on mmo world, and that is amazing, BUT you guys can’t just go straight ahead with your own toughts and forget the playerbase opinions and asks (As example of what I’m saying, this september feature patch has brought several and several features that the game didn’t need : THe new plyer experience has been a fail so far, even on the pc gamer review, the new trading post was completely unnecessary, and for some ppl it got even worse, so what I’m talking here is that they made a lot of content that no oned even wanted to be honest, and just let a lof of other parts of the game that needed rewrok completely untouched).

NO Blude, this is just me, talking that they sense of “Narrative” into a non- living mmo is very, very wrong. I could talk about any other thinsgs, such wxw that is really far from fit into the narrative of a living world. Neither does we take months between a drastical attack to then start making some steps to retail. And the worse of all : A couple bunch of ppl returning to a destroyed city, and just being stationary there. Not rebuild, not fix anything, not even clear the place. Just dispose their goodies for sale.

They excuse of “Such thing don’t fits in narrative” is nothing more than a mere excuse, and this is what I’m showing on here.

2 year old veterans were given a reskinned scarlet’s kiss that provides food buffs, that’s all.

Can u fix that anet? Its very hard for us track what champ bag gives the weapon we are searching for, and wich champ bags counts towards the collection, if some chyamp bags have 2-3 equal model in qith same icon and same name (i.e. : Fallen adventurer from karka, there is one from chest, and there is a different one from the boss itself, but both with same name, rarity and icon).

Same problem here, hero of ppl seens to be bugged for a lot of ppl, but no awnser from anet yet.

Please Anet, let us at least try different stances of a map liekely we could before (Via guesting to another server).

Right now, I’m unable to complete some of my collections, because the event that lead to the merchant is broken since patch, and I can’t try any other server, because don’t mind what I do (Represent other guild, guest to another server) it ALWAYS throw me back to the same server instance.

Please, let us at least go to different map instances while guested to other servers, thank you.

Hi, I’ve seen a lot of ppl other than myself that just don’t have the “Hero of ppl” collection enabled, even opening some of the necessary bags it never shows as a collection on progress ona achievments tab.

Can any dev put an eye on this? At least confirm that this is a bug, and it will be solved? Ty

No, the game hates me . I spend 4 hours of day playing this game (Dungeon, dry top, world bosses, pvp and fractals, aaand sometimes wxw), and still 0 map scraps.

We used to have in-game surveys at the betas, so it is easy to implement.

If does it would work? Only if anet learn with their errors and fails. As example this pack, and the trait system of last pack. Even with the major piece of player base shouting that it is a terrible bad decision, they are just silent waiting everyone stop talking about it, without caring about un-do the changes.

The time when they get back on their right minds, and learn that is better just admit a error and work on fix it, instead if think that as game designers they are the only ones that know what is better for the game, then at this time surveys will work.

Thats what I Understand with this patch. Hey guys, you can’t use skills 2-4, because you need to L-E-Aaaa-R-n how to use a skill first. Try pressing 1.

Also, you can’t use around of 70% of other type of bundles and itens, because you know, you need to L-E-AAaaa-R-n how to deal with soooo many functions.

Ah, before we forget, have a amazing chest covered with mines. I know its a hard thing to understand, so we’ll put a flash and shiny message that will teach you a awesome function: Dodge!. YES!, its a little hard, but you’ll figure it out (Otherwise, you’ll not get that chest eh? ).

To be a little more clear for YOOU, each time you level up (You know what is level up right? If not, we’ll put another flashy-shiny message to teach), you will get a awesome colorful designed-teaching what do you et, and how to play the game. YES, because you need flashy messages about whats out there, a tutorial lets say. (Explore the world is past thing, we’ll talk to ou what is there so you’ll be prepared ) .

edit for 3 months so, didn’t had actually see tha right ammount of time, just the really long therm of time. Still, from s1 to s2 was 4 months. And after 4 chapters of s2, a break of more 3 months. Yes, seens real that it fits soooo better in narrative than SAB does.

Seens that anet consider all low-lv players dumb as a kitten. Low lvls can’t make anything anymoer in this game. Next step is lock pvp beyond level 20 and wxw beyond lv 30.
