As much I’ve been studying profits recently, you can get up to 50 gold just by loging in the game on a daily base (Getting daily rewards > trading laurels for t6 > Selling on tp).

So, if you play a little more ahead than just loging, doing some dungeon runs (~2-3g / 15min), some world bosses ~80s per boss, you can pretty easily get the 80g into around of 1 month playing very casual. Playing hardcore gives you the slot into 1 week.

I won’t be able to link the facebook post now, but ANet post a lore text about the Daydream set that heavily implies that it is related to Melandru, not a direct set though.

Hmmm, interesting, I would love to read about these, because at least for my perception it doesn’t look to much alike (Unless that super creepy face on male pelvis is somewhat melandru face. This would be terrible).

Lets do some maths with how many blogpost are still missing.

- 6 Elite specs blogposts
- New legendarys Blogpost
- Challenging Group Content BlogPost
- Guild Halls Blogpost
- Last Legend of ritualist (Aka revenant) blogpost

Those are the “For sure” blogposts we have been promised to have. We can also speculate that the following things will also have their dedicated weeks:

- More lore info about The exalted
- Lions arch reconstruction completed + Core specs week of release
- Announcement of HoT Price and release date

Suming up all of those, and considering 1 week for each blogpost, we are about of 13 weeks away from release of HoT, or 10 weeks in the best scenario possible.

@Lone wolf : They also stated that Each profession is getting only 1 new weapon.

Since shield is a 1 hand weapon only, that mean that even while shield is the “New weapon” spec, it would still need another weapon to fill the other hand, and that would even be the mace or axe (That are actually tied to another legend)

Either way, it would break the pattern. ¯\(?)

You guys are missing the point that weapons are not obligatory tied to each legend, so shield can just be a extra core weapon without any legend tied to it. So Glint elite will just be focus or scepter, and still be a exclusive “New weapon” elite spec.

Best gem store item?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: MauricioCezar.2673

MauricioCezar.2673

Other than the LS season pack, all other gem store itens are conveniences or cosmetics.

So…, if you don’t wanna any of those 2, your best bet is just get the ls s2. I personally find the copper-fed salvage A LOT useful, since I farm a lot and it saves me way soo many time/bag slots.

The unlimited gathering tools are also a very good option, since it will save a lot of frustation from seeing dar orichalcum node and not have a right gathering tool, or when you trash a high cost gathering tool to get some trash material.

None of those are going to make you earn money faster (Most likely you’ll ned years to get back the money you invested), but are things that surely makes life a lot easier.

Idea for a Mastery - Riding

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Posted by: MauricioCezar.2673

MauricioCezar.2673

I would be fine with riding as a mastery that allows characters to do something they cannot currently choose to do. An example might be a swamp with quicksand that can only be ridden through on a dinosaur, or lava that burns characters, but does not burn a salamander mount. This, of course, is not what the OP is proposing.

THAT is the sort of dynamic thing I was talking about. Different ways to transverse some places, just like gliding actually does. I never was a fan of useless mounts, but if they come with a logic and variety into gameplay, I think its pretty valid.

(Altough I was mostly thinking on it to desert xpac, being able to run trough infernal sands).

First of all, none of your points are really a problems into the game, just random opinions of yours.

1 – Races are ther for lore content and for a variety of branch choices into the personal history of the game. And it fill the fucntion of variety of choice for player preferences (I love to play as asura, I wouldn’t even play the game if it only had humans).

2 – First take some GD narative/writing lessons before judgin by “Your preferences”. Gw2 does indeedly have some holes to fill, but the personnal history was greatly and well done built-in the game. Living story was a experiment, and had some tecnical problems, but they advanced a lot in season 2.

3 – Because of progression. If you never designed a game, you probably don’t understand how important is progression into a game. You don’t put Mario in the lava castle at start of the game, and so, you don’t put your gw2 started character on the same level of end mobs like dragon champions. Your character need to progress into some way, and levelling is ther eonly for that purporse. It is not meant to be a hardcore number increasing chase. It is there only to have a sense of skill progression.

MauricioCezar.2673

I kinda agree with OP.

I played for over a year unil notice gw2 have a day/night cycle, and I only noticed that when I watched a timelapse on youtube.

Still, by what I could see on gameplays of the last beta, the HoT night does indeedly looks darker than any other area of the game, and I found it amazing. But, I think I ain’t against the idea of it becoming even more darker and fearful.

PS: I remember the first time I entered a mini-dungeon in lornar pass if I ain’t wrong, and it is everything so dark that I was afraid of even walking too fast and end up falling, or finding a champion enemy. It was one of my best experiences into this game, and it really drawed me in the game.

Stability Changes were a Bad Idea

I think that the solution is quite simple – Add a cooldown between each stack removed, so you can’t fully remove all stacks within 1 second. Likely 0.5s cooldown in between removals.

Stability Changes were a Bad Idea

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: MauricioCezar.2673

MauricioCezar.2673

I Agree with op.

This stabilty change was purely focused on spvp, and don’t take me wrong – It indeedly works incridible on spvp.

But on another side, in pve and mainly on wxw, it just doesn’t work. Stability turned in a useless boon, since even the high stacks skills get removed within seconds, and takes a lot of time to recharge. I thik that the worst skill changed for example is the Ranger skill rampage as one, that gives 3 stacks per pulse. Nice, but try to run trough a gust of wind (Don’t know if it is a bug or bad design, bu it remove multiples stacks of stabilty by just passing trough the gust).

So, yes – I do agree that this stabilty change was not for the greater good, but for one aspect of the game only (I do know it was focused on wxw, but it is not good for wxw). I think it need a rework.

Not really, since actually black lion weapons have a period of time of avaiability. in times to times, the older ones get completely removed to give space for new ones. So far, iirc there are at least 4 sets that got removed ( 1st Wintersday, Southsun cove, Aetherized, Dreamthistle and I am thinkning that molten is also excluded already).

Still, I believe that all of then are still avaiable to buy with gold trough BLTC, so it is somehow avaiable.

Mushroom jumping and gliding will not a part of WvW, only of the new PvE zones (iirc).

In Wxw We have the air keep mechanics, that have similar Jumpings of Air aspect crystal.
We also have the Fire keep mechanics that have some fiery rush movement mechanics.

Well, It is not a obligatory to play new elite specializations, and it will have more specializations in future, so it simple have no reason to stop playing your ranger. A lot of people dislike their main professions specializations (I’ll not change my guardian for trap things), but that don’t compromise anyone gameplay.

You can still play your ranger exactly how you do today, specialization its not the unique thing that HoT will bring on

Greatest concern about new move mechanics

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Posted by: MauricioCezar.2673

MauricioCezar.2673

Hi

First of all, this is not meant to be a hateful thread, more a sort of warning/ask for a deep look into the new move/jump/fly mechanics to it work correctly without big issues.

Actually, if you look into how aspect crystals work, you can already see of what I am afraid of. If you have any sort of connection latency, the crystal aspects moves just don’t work. You click on it to jump, and it does the movement seconds delayed, and even bug on air sometimes.

Lightning move is even worst (Infinite looping on air, and breaking the jump on mid). Even Sun move actually have issues.

But thats is limited to very few areas, and not all that compromising on gameplay. Thats not how it look on HoT expansion. In HoT, seen like we need those new moves to pass on some ares, acess some others, and beat some content. If the mushroom jumping and gliders movements bug as much as Aspect crystal does, please rework it to be as natural as jumping/dodging.

And my final concern is the biggest one : WxW. How will it work on a pvp event, if we actually are messed up with movement skill bugging around? How can we deal with zergs, if some of our ppl are being delayed with movement mechanics?

I Know its not here yet, and we don’t know how it works, but as much we can see on mushroom jumping and wxw air jumping, it is the very same mechanic we have on air aspect crystal.

Does Elementalist have anything over warrior?

Curently, ele is a double-edged blade. It is, indeedly, the most versatile (And by that, people say most op) profession in game (At least until revenant enter in scene).

But, on the other side it is also the hardest class to learn and actually know how to play it. You need to know every set of combos and timing for each skill, and of course, the main gameplay of elementalist : Element rotation.

So, yes, there are multiples reasons to play ele nowadays, you just need to take some more time to learn to play it very well. And for the other question, yes ele have some things that warrior doesn’t have. It indeedly have party support, it also have more ways to clean conditions than warrior, it also have best burst dps (Warrior have heavy damage, but ele wins in terms of burst), eles have massive ammount of AoE damage, a point that warrior lacks ind, and finally, we have the versatility – You can change you way to play to pretty much be anything you want (Except condition applier, seriously, don’t do that with your ele), from pve to pvp and world x world, you can be what you want. Dps, Aoe zerg dealer, Healer, Knocker/cc, Party support, Tanker (Diamond skin ftw).

Just a quick note, Asuras have NOTHING to do with steampunk trash. Asuras are tied with geometrical stones and magic runes style.

So, basically, the same issue you are saying that exist on norns, does exist on asuras too. (Altough I think that there are as much norn’ish armors in games as it does for asuras, and both have some quite good matching culturally speaking).

Steampunk = High technology embased on vapor, usually themed on victorian age style.

PvE Content: You level up to 80, and then the game reall begins. You have The personal story, a huge are to explore and get map completion, a decent set of dungeons to play trough, a elite dungeon levelled (Fractals), Achievments/Collections to chase, The whole living story stuff, legendarys to get, and some quite interesting events out there (World bosses, Dry top, Silverwastes).

*PvP : Its not boring, you just dislike it because you can’t stand. I find the gw2 sPvP the best pvp experience I had on mmo’s, the unique game where gameplay skill >> armor you are using/money you invested.

*WxW : Okay, kida meh. But it is still epic if you play with a guild, and its the concept of it, like you it or not.

But by your way of speak, I think you are an adept of the old-style holy trinity (And you seens to be a monk). Gw2 is another sort of dynamic game, not a point and click rpg. You can have your own taste, jut don’t blame anet and gw2 because the game don’t fit in what you like.
